After doing business with RJ I fully understand why he has all five star reviews!
A month ago some idiot kid attempting to elude the sheriffs hit the back of my pristine BMW and damaged the deck lid and diffuser with his motorcycle. I wanted the car back in perfect condition so I called my contacts at Omega Werks and Performance Technic to see who they would use if it were their car. Both recommended RJ's as their first choice which speaks volumes since one is the Bay Area's best BMW performance shop and the other is the area's best tinting, clear bra and ceramic auto coating specialist.
Needless to say that RJ and his crew did exceptional work as promised and installed an oem carbon fiber spoiler to boot. The deck lid has a perfect color match with the orange peel texture just like factory. In fact closing the trunk is now smoother than it was when the car first came from Germany. I am very happy that my car is in pristine condition again with no visible damage to the lid or diffuser.
The other differentiator is that RJ and his team provide a professionalism and passion for quality that you rarely see these days. The day I picked up my car there was a new F-Type, a S550 and a Lamborghini Gallardo being worked on. If you truly care about your car then it is well worth visiting RJ's even if you don't own a Lambo or F-Type. My humble little BMW looks perfect again and is glad that I sought out the best.

RJ is simply AWESOME. Easy to deal with, very good guy, extremely friendly, and very helpful. I got a great deal too, close too and under my deductibles on all my three cars (avoiding negative records!). The only downside is -- he is always busy and always have a customer talking with him in person and/or on the phone.
I have been a customer since early 2014 and have now taken all my cars, all four of them, to RJ coz my kids and some unknown people keep scratching my cars in parking lots.

I have been to RJ's twice now for bodywork on my BMW X3 due to accidents and both times I've experienced excellent service and flawless work. My car has come out looking brand new! First off, I must say RJ is extremely polite, helpful, and pleasant to do business with. I had the opportunity of meeting him today to go over a dent on my front bumper from someone who backed into my car a couple weeks ago. He even adjusted the bumper for me free of charge prior to any sort of go ahead for repairs. RJ's process was simple, easy, and enlightening (positive learning experience). Thank you RJ and team for seamlessly fixing a bad incident. My almost brand new car (had it for 5 months) was keyed for no reason other than it being a brand new car (honestly, some people just need to get a life).
Anyway, RJ's Paint Shop made the whole process of repairing the damage super easy. From the first call to get a quote to meeting with the insurance adjuster to picking up my car when it was done. No sweat, and most importantly, my car looks perfect again. Can't even tell that any work was done on it.

Not all body shops are the same
We have learn from previous experience that not all body shops are the same. We had companies that really didn't care for detail only to cost more time and effort to have it fixed again.
RJ's is DEFINITELY NOT ONE OF THOSE. We had a broken spoiler on our Porsche Cayenne GTS. RJ personally took care to ensure the paint color for the new spoiler matched the special color we had on the Cayenne. At closer inspection we noticed it was actually a two tone color spoiler.
The final job of removing the broken spoiler and installing the new one was perfect. RJ personally goes beyond and cares about the details of his work and the customer is happy. You can tell he instills this in his team who surprising washed a very dirty Cayenne for me also ! Don't risk the experience of getting a bad body job. Definitely give RJ's a call.

Brought my E92 M3 to RJ's after a previous shop butchered my front bumper.
RJ recommended that I shave the side reflectors off for a cleaner Euro look. He was absolutely right. It's absolutely stunning, paired with their excellent work of course.
They even went out of their way to get rid of a tiny ding I had in my rear bumper as well as some minor scuffs on the paint.
Needless to say, I am one happy customer and trust these guys 100% with my car.
The staff is friendly and they do top notch work. Wouldn't bring my car anywhere else.

My car was rear ended at a stoplight. Reading all the 5 star reviews, I took my car to RJ. This is one class act. Told me exactly how much repairs would cost and how long the car would take to complete. Kept to the schedule. Moreover, the quality and detail RJ showed to ensure my car was perfect was singularly impressive. RJ's is a boutique paint shop really meant for those who love their cars and (without trying to sound arrogant) those who have higher end/exotic machines. Cost was marginally more than other places. But, RJ tells you that upfront and after seeing the completed work - I know why. To top it off RJ and his crew truly love cars and it was fun talking to him about his racing and automotive exploits. RJ and his team are truly passionate about what they do and it shows! I just moved to the Bay area and bad luck damaged the fender on my car. To make matters worse I had just dropped full coverage insurance and had to pay for this out of pocket. Never the less I wanted the best shop to work on my baby. So I turned to Yelp for help in finding Auto Body shops with a minimum of 100 reviews, FIVE STARS ONLY! I found RJ and the recommendations were all true. RJ is a true gentleman who cares about quality, passionate about his work and is engaged of every aspect of his business from A to Z. He took the time explaining the process of repair, he understood he was dealing with a "picky" customer, and that I was paying out of pocket. A week later I dropped off my car after parts arrived. RJ went out of his way in getting me a set of wheels while the car is being repaired. FOUR days later RJ called to let me know the car is ready for pickup. Driving down I was prepared to be nit- picking that I am, to my surprise I was absolutely delighted to how flawless the vehicle looked! The car was waxed and vacuumed, the black paint was PERFECTLY matched, and the alignment of the fender was spot on! RJ went over and beyond to ensure I was satisfied and touched up 3 other unrelated scratches which he really didn't have too!! The entire experience was smooth as my new black paint! THANK YOU RJ!!

RJ and his team are AMAZING! I took my Audi Q7 to him a year ago to fix my rim. He and his team did a great job! I just brought my husbands Audi S6 to get his rim fixed. RJ was so accommodating and was able to get it fixed in a day. Also another great job! So happy to find RJ on Yelp! Great reviews definitely count, so I gotta add.
Monday is definitely not a good day for me. Early AM when I was about to get in my car, I noticed there were 2 white spots on the passenger door of the driver side. At first I thought they were bird-poops, I wiped with damp cloth, but they didn't go away. I panicked!! I shined flashlight to observe closer, they were scuffs. I managed to buff one with wax, but the other one chipped the paint. Looking sideways, I also saw dents on those 2 spots. "Oh no... not again?!" My heart sank, feeling upset & angry simultaneously. Why?? #&/@!?
I called Ryan. I told him the issue & he asked me to stop by, so he can have a better look. I drove to his shop that same afternoon. Ryan is friendly & very knowledgable about auto-painting. He educated me how the paint-job works. He even told me that my car color is a mixture of 6-7 colors. That many! I would never thought. I knew instantly, I could trust him (aside from reading his existing glowing reviews). This guy knows what he is doing. He actually showed me when he was mixing the colors to create the correct formula to match my paint.
Ryan gave me 2 options to fix the chipped paint: He could try to touch it up (cheaper & faster method) or the right way is to re-paint the whole door. Since the chip was not too big & I always remember "try NOT to mess with factory paint" I opted for the first option.
As for the dents, Ryan quickly called his colleague who specializes in PDR. I was lucky that the guy was in the area & could come right then. He made the dents disappear in less than 20 mins. After that, Ryan himself touched up the paint. One of his staffs then polished it as a finishing touch. The final result was not perfect as Ryan already warned me for choosing the fast fix, but it looks better than before. I could live with it for now, hoping that humanity could be more respectful & less oblivious over others property. Ryan only charged me for the PDR for very reasonable price. He gave me quote for option 2, should I change my mind or heaven forbids another damage on that panel (knock on the wood thousand times!)
I won't hesitate to go back if needed & you should not either. I hardly review, only for the best & the deserving. My Monday was ruined since AM, but Ryan rectified my situation, my worry & fear. Unsolved problem will haunt me day & night. I was so relieved... thought about giving him a hug before I left as a big thank you, not appropriate perhaps. I shook his hand instead. Merci beaucoup, Ryan James for your stellar service!! Keep up the awesome work :)
* PS: For the moms & pops out there with strollers or shopping carts, please think twice before you slam into someone else's door in the parking lot. Do you really need to do that? Does it really liberate your inner jealousy? Sorry, God is fair. He only bestows great stuff to people with good hearts. xoxo

RJ and his team did an amazing job on a truck I brought in. He did more than he had to and went beyond our expectations.
Took a truck to him and I didn't even recognize it when it was finished (in a very good way). He did way more than he had to. He knows how to take care of his customers.

RJ is one of the few honest people on planet earth. I really mean this! He did an amazing job on my Van. I would say if you really love your car, and need bodywork RJ's paintshop is the place to go.
When my vehicle was delivered after the work, it was better than how the dealership delivered it at the time of purchase. The whole process was really easy, he always posted me with updates, and the vehicle was ready as promised and we had a "Wow" experience with them. I am glad to say that after my interactions with RJ, I got one new friend, a person I can trust. He is the best in the trivially area. Absolutely amazing.
Insurance companies are in the business of taking your money. RJ's Paint Shop is in the business of making your vehicle whole after an accident. Guess what? There will be a showdown where they both see who will blink first when they meet to discuss the financial cost to fix your vehicle.
RJ has one wicked stare! My insurance company lowballed me with a quote on visible damage only and wanted to repair the damage when in reality, the panels need replacing (no repair possible). Even after RJ convince my insurance company that he needed to replace the panels, my insurance wanted to use USED parts as replacements.

RJ would have none of that. New OEM parts from the local dealership, no shortcuts, and a full exterior detail when done. RJ won't compromise on his repair standards and worked (fought?) with my insurance company on a mutually agreeable amount to repair my vehicle correctly.
My vehicle looks better now than when it was before the accident.
You, my friend, can go to RJ's Paint Shop with utmost confidence that he and his crew will repair your vehicle right!

Sincere, honest guy. I had some sort of calamity with my new 2014 Mustang Premium, black car. 4000 miles. I walk out of the grocery store and there is a dent in my passenger door.
I take the car to RJ's (thanks for all the positive reviews). He says, "ok, let's try to remove the dent with a paint less solution. If you're not satisfied you don't have to pay". Unfortunately this didn't work-out. The dent was in he crease that has the natural lines of the car, which is also backed by a collision reinforcement bar. The paint less repair guy worked on it all day ( I have to give this guy credit, he came very close). RJ calls me and says come pickup your car, no charge, the repair didn't work. If you want me to do the repair and paint the door lets talk about it.
I look at the car, the dent is gone but not looking like a 4000 mile car. It did look a *lot* better. I opt for the body shop repair. It is completed in the time frame that I was told it would be.
Cool guy, quality work, he is definitely passionate about his work. I look at my car now it's like nothing happened. I see them working on a lot of very expensive cars around there. That's telling to me. I'm glad I chose him. No BS, straight shooter. This would be my first choice for any body work.

I had the misfortune of getting into a front end accident. Mashed the car up pretty good. I had the great fortune of having RJ's fix it. RJ's immediately understood having my crumpled car fixed is not something I deal with very often. Because of this they spent time walking me through the repair process; even discussing potential issues that may arise and going over options if they do. I received timely updated phone calls and even a call to discuss a cosmetic option. As a business owner myself I greatly appreciated this extra effort. And the car..... never looked or drove better. Took my Porsche to RJ after getting a recommendation from one of the best detailers in the bay area. He said that RJ's work is some of the best he'd seen. I also heard separately from some other Porsche tuning companies that they have RJ do all of their custom paint work.
My porsche had previously had some poor quality paintwork done on the hood and bumper by some other shop. Not sure of the history but the hood had bad paint shrinkage and also had a weird faint dent about 8 inches long that could be seen under the paint.
There was also quite a long shallow scratch in the front fender, and some short deep scratches on the driver side rocker panel (from someone dragging in and out heavy shoes most likely). There were also some nasty paint chips on the driver door edge from someone clumsy opening the door. Since I was getting the hood and bumper redone, I also wanted to have some silver paint highlights adding to the front grill and mirror arms. Plus I wanted RJ to install some grill meshes installing that I'd purchased.
I cannot speak more highly of the work that was done and I could write pages about the details, calls and follow ups from RJ. Just awesome customer service, not just compared to other paint/body shops I've been to but compared to any other business. Best customer service in years. Months after the work has been done I'm still raving about the quality of the work and have referred 3 or 4 people to him. I have full confidence he will provide the same service and quality of work to everyone I send his way.
A few highlights:
- Rj's team had to completely strip down the hood and were also able to get the dent out so that I didn't need to buy a new hood. Many many hours of work. The end result was just superb. Paint job immaculate and as good as when it came out of the factory
- Paint job on the bumper also brilliant - prior to spraying the grills silver he also called to make sure I only wanted the horizontal bars painting and not the vertical. He said "I think you only want the horizontals doing - that will look much better".. Like I said, great attention to detail.
- Mirror arms perfect
- All the deep rocker scratches gone and door paint chips also gone.. I will say that when I first got the car back home I ran over all the work with a halogen light (yep I looked closely) and noticed a few tape marks on the rocker panel that hadn't been buffed out entirely. I didn't have to call him the next day because he called me first thing to check in and make sure I was happy.. I think he said "I know you wanted to check it out at home and make sure everything was perfect. Are there any problems? I want you to be completely happy with the work". Like I said - great customer service.
I stopped by about a week later for a few hours and he had the team buff out the masking tape artifacts. Even dropped me off to get food at the mall so I could eat while they were working on it again. His team worked late that night to fix some of these issues. From what I can tell perhaps 1 or 2 hrs after regular closing. No complaining, 4 or 5 people. Complete pros making sure I was happy.
RJ explains the process. What he's going to do - what options there might be and why he recommends one approach over another. He's a car fanatic and has many great stories to share. He's passionate about what he does, cares about your car and you will be very happy with the final result.
Should I ever need work doing again in the future, I wouldn't trust my car(s) to anyone else.
Oh - did I mention that I also dropped off a curb in my commuter car and pulled part of the bumper off. Mentioned it to RJ and he told me to bring it by when I picked up the Porsche and he'd have one of his team take a look. Clipped everything back in and didn't charge me a penny.
Sound too good to be true? Can all these 5 star reviews be real?
Yep - RJ and his team are the real deal and deserve all the business they are getting.

Having decided to go to RJ's after reading the 80+ all 5-star reviews here, I am really happy to add mine to the list. While it would be correct to say his team did an amazing job repairing the damage to my car, I think it is an understatement. What they did was pure artistry. The fact that you can't tell at all that there was ever any damage is truly remarkable. The metal work is flawless; the paint is perfect. You truly could never tell any work was done. And given the condition coming in, I have to say their work is beyond masterful - absolutely amazing.
Then add to that, the work was done exactly on time (not the experience I had with a couple other body shops in the past). And totally unexpected, they detailed the car, inside and out. It has truly felt like driving a brand new car since the work was done!
Lastly, as noted by so many, all the staff at RJ's are really friendly and helpful. And RJ is really great to work with and to talk to; I've learned a lot from our conversations too. And he is truly a rare person in the industry given his honesty and genuine interest in his customers' happiness. I certainly couldn't be happier and couldn't imagine ever going anywhere else!

I stopped by RJs today out of the blue to see if they could help me out in replacing a decal on my Jeep that was worn. I had the decal in the car, just needed some help in removing the old one and installing the new one. I really had no idea what to expect or if they could or would be willing to help. RJ looked at the decal and was able to help me out on the spot. I cant say enough good things about RJ and his crew. I've been to many body shops in my time and this place just felt right. Their shop was clean and everyone was friendly. I plan on recommending these guys to anyone I know and will bring my vehicles here in the future. RJ is the only person to ever paint my cars in the future. This is a way overdue review of work on a car I brought in around last winter due to the dealer scratching the car on the lot (which they wouldn't pay for all the way... grrr).
He has painted my motorcycle and my car, and despite RJ feel it isn't up to his insane standard, I can't even see the seems (I even took a magnifying glass up to it!).
Don't let the price deter you either, as first off you get way you pay for and he delivers more than you pay for. RJ even worked with me on price as I was a student!
Excellent, standup guy. I'd never let another paint shop touch my vehicles.

Fantastic! I could not have been treated better. Walked in to have some molding repaired and within minutes they had my repair taken care of and actually handed me a business card and said no charge today. The fix was minimal and all they ask is to come back for any future work.
I tipped the guys well and left with a big smile.

Their paint are so good that even my picky wife can't tell the difference. They helped us dealing with the other party's insurance company and get everything covered. The previous owner of my car (M3) valet parked it and nose panel damage was the result. The original paint (silver) was over 17 years old and RJ did a super job matching the color; I heard silver is a difficult color to match. I like to support the local community in Pleasanton so I selected RJ's paint shop after reading the yelp reviews. My 17 year old took his 1997 RAV4 to RJ's paint shop , and called me from there "Papa, they have only high end models here. I don't think they will repair the RAV4's fender and broken lights". I told him "Please talk to RJ and I am sure he will help u." And that is EXACTLY what happened. RJ called me and told me the options for repairing the front smashed fender and the broken headlight and parking light assembly. We fixed a date when I would bring the car in and it was fixed the same day.
RJ is extremely professional and friendly and makes promises and keeps them. I will for sure recommend his shop and services to my friends.

RJ is hands down the best body shop that I've ever been to. And trust me, I've had my fair share of fender benders. The color matching and the quality of the paint were impeccable. He spotted little imperfections that I never even noticed and made sure that the job was done right. My old beat up 10 year old car looks brand new and flawless-it's like getting a brand new car all over again. The minute i walked in his place, I knew i was about to hire the right guy for the job. He had Porsches, other BMW M models, Mercedes and other high end cars (he's even painting some parts for a Lambo). I also found RJ to be very easy to work with, personable and had great communication throughout the process. i can also tell that he's got a great rapport with his crew and hence why they produce quality work time and time again. He's also very honest and won't try and up sell you on crap you don't need.

Been meaning to write this review for a while.
I worked with RJ around 3-4 months ago for some body work on my E39 M5. Right off the bat when you sit down and speak to him you know that he's an honest, sincere and an all-around nice person.
My situation was a little complicated as it involved another shop. When things got a little bit difficult, RJ did his best to make sure I would get my car back as soon as possible. The body and paint work done to my car was top notch and I couldn't be happier. My interior was also spotless. I wasn't expecting anything to be done on the inside and it made the experience that much more pleasurable.
If you need some body work done on your car, don't hesitate to reach out to RJ. He's a great guy and his shop does top notch work.

I've known RJ for years; he's bright, driven and very friendly; it's a pleasure giving him my business. I've always taken my Porsches here when they've needed cosmetic bodywork done. His is a customer-friendly business, and the workmanship is superior. Having only one car, he's driven me home, and picked me up (more than once), prior to, and after, the work was completed. Not too many body shops do that.

The lower bumper on my Audi A4 was separated from my car courtesy of a concrete parking barrier. I took it to RJ's. RJ had it up on a lift in 5 mins and snapped it back in place and added a couple of screws. He had me on my way in 15 minutes.
Great service and good people. He will be getting my business in the future.

RJ's Paintshop is the only shop I will take my car to, I only wish they did oil changes and performance tuning, and then I will have found my one stop shop.
For now, as an auto body and paint shop, they are meticulous in every detail, and everyone in the shop are just all around good guys (RJ, Tommy, Paul, Brian, and so on).
I brought in my car to get a roof chip painted, and RJ suggested that I paint the roof black to give it a new car look rather than painting it the same color. I took his advice and have nothing but solid comments on it from friends and passerbys. In fact, the paint job is so good that car wash folks mistake it for a panoramic roof and spray windex on it (I have to run over and say NOOO).
From little to big projects, OEM replacement parts or "after market" body kits, this is the place to go...you'll get a fair and reasonable price for the quality workmanship you'll get.

I took my 09 Mercedes-Benz C300 to RJ's shop after seeing all the favorable reviews on yelp. I originally took it in to have the bottom of my front fender and rear quarter panel fixed due to small minor scratches. He gave me a very rough quote over the phone and encouraged me to bring it to the shop for him to look at and to give me firm a estimate. Problem was his shop closed when I was getting off of work. RJ, made special accommodations for me to swing by after hours on a day when his crew was working late to give me a quote. Wow! Talk about customer service!
I met with the owner RJ, and he looked at my car, gave me a quote on the spot and explained to me what he was going to do to get the scratch repaired. He gave me best and worst case scenario so I was informed on how much it can cost. Most places would stop right there, but with RJ he showed me around his shop and walked me thru every single phase of the work that my car would undergo with real examples of the things he was working on. I was very impressed by his professionalism and stellar customer service.
The next day I had to get a revised quote because someone had keyed my car adding further damage to my car (how lovely right!?). I again met with RJ and he looked at it, gave me a revised quote to do the repair. At this point I had already called 2 other places to get other quotes to compare. The next day I just booked an appointment with him before getting all my numbers back. RJ even followed up with me to let me know of some other damages that he found at the bottom of the fender but it was merely to let me know.
I got my car back today and it looks FANTASTIC! The paint on my car isn't just a normal grey, its the dark metallic grey, and he was able to blend it perfectly with the existing factory paint. I couldn't of been any happier with the high quality of workmanship RJ and his team provides. True professionals and masters of their craft! If you want a paint job done right the first time, I would take it to RJ you will not be disappointed.

This shop is the real deal!So easy to work with.I gave RJ a full plate of things to take care of,Re finish wheels and paint,install new tires sent from tire rack, and do a 4 wheel alignment .Also dings in rear bumper removed and re painted to perfection .
I have a sickness called perfection,detail is most important not cost.I got perfection at a very fair price. Every detail was amazing !Don't hesitate to let RJ take care of your problems.You will never regret it .

Big thanks to RJ, Paul and Julian. This is a great shop and all of these guys are masters at what they do.
Body and paint is one place I have never had good luck or a good experience with. Usually if any car of mine gets hit I end up selling it cause its never the same after body/paint guys touch it.
I had a deck lid/wing for my spoiler painted along with some minor body work done. The work came out beautiful. I will be keeping this car as I can honestly say I think its better than when it came into the shop.
The guys here take their time and do the job right the first time. They are not looking to turn and burn business - just to do an honest and quality work.
They may not be the cheapest guy out there - but when your painting your car - money shouldn't be the deciding factor, quality should be.
They have a loyal customer in me and I will always go back here and refer them business as often as I can.

Update (03/2012): my '11 Range Rover Sport had an unfortunate incident with a shopping cart while i was in Costco - but fortunately there is RJ's.
My rear door got a small scratch in it from the cart, dropped it off on Monday had her back by Wed. and look as good as ever. As usual the work is high quality and finish is like it rolled off the showroom floor. While it was there I also had them do a repair on small curb rash on 1 rim and it looks brand new. As always Ryan, Paul, Julian and Tommy do excellent work and when they return the car it washed and looks beautiful. Thanks again guys!!

My wif'e's new car was recently hit in a parking lot. Because of the difficult color match (three coat pearl white), I was trying to find the best shop in town to do the repair. I must also warn that I am extremely picky with my cars (one brother owned a body shop and another restores extremely high end collectible cars - think Duesenberg/Auburn/Delahaye at Pebble Beach). I originally found RJ's through yelp reviews and stopped by for an estimate. Like Roy A. stated, from the time I entered the shop I knew I had found the right place. RJ's did not disappoint. The end result was even better than the 5 star ratings would indicate. The body and paint work is stellar, the entire team was professional with every interaction, and most of all, my wife was really happy. RJ's will be my only choice for future paint or body work.

RJ and Team are RockStars...
I went to RJ to get a quote to fix the 2012 Mustang Rear quarter panel and bumper damage caused by an incident. Very hospitable point to detail. Everyone said they want to cut the fender and replace it new, team was able to pull the dents out without cutting.
Buddies are very passionate about their work. Its like they love what they do, end results are great. I want to thank everyone in the shop for their passion and dedication.

RJ is Professional, Courteous, and does what he says he's going to do.
With our busy lifestyles its very important to be able to rely on professional people, especially in a field that many of us have little knowledge about. I was already upset because my new car was wrecked, so i was on edge...The first time I spoke to RJ on the phone he guided me through a process that I never experienced before. He took care of EVERYTHING, explained what to do, advise how to deal with the insurance company- they were messing me around, and handled everything on time and budget.

My Wife found RJ's on Yelp and chose them based on reviews after she was involved in a rear ender accident. RJ's Paint Shop was very professional and very easy to work with. The responsible party's insurance company was difficult to work with and RJ handled it for us without a problem. The entire RJ's staff was very helpful, courteous and treated my Wife like a Lady. Much appreciated! The work was completed in a timely manner and our vehicle was returned to us looking as good, If not better than when it was new. RJ and his guys are the best. RJ has customer service down to the heart. He even answers his own phone, I have never gone to voice mail. Who does that these days????
He is responsible, delivers on service in a timely manner, prices are proportionate to the job, and fair. RJ is an honest guy. He will tell you like it is and be spot on. And if you need someone to fix your car, you could not go to a better body/paint/dent guy. He does it all. One time I had to leave my car for a couple days and he even drove me to the rental car place.
He and his guys love cars, and love making your car gorgeous again. I cannot recommend him more highly.

There's a reason why as of this review, RJ's got 5 stars and 41, now 42 reviews. His shop has earned this rating plain and simple.
I had to take my vehicle in to replace my rear bumper as part of an insurance claim and I opted instead of going with a AAA approved shop, to go with RJ's based on his Yelp! reviews. Boy am I glad I did!
When I went to drop off the vehicle, RJ was supposed to call the rental company so they could pick me up and take me back to their place to rent me out a vehicle. Instead, RJ went a step beyond and gave me a ride saving me a lot of time as I was in a rush on my lunch break. That's above and beyond point 1.
Point 2 came when I went to pickup the car and RJ was completely honest about nicking some of the metallic alloy paint off my left front wheel from his pressure washer when he and his team were washing my car. I would have never noticed that upon pickup (who would pay that much attention to their left front rim when the work was all done on the rear bumper) but he was completely honest nonetheless. I doubt other shops would have admitted to that if I noticed it I took the vehicle of the "lot" as it really had nothing to do with the bumper repair. Not only was he honest about it, he offered to repair it as well as smooth/buff out some of the curb rash to my rim as well. Thus when I came to pick up the vehicle the next day, my left front rim was in better condition than before (as in pretty much factory new).
Point 3 came again when I finally went to pickup the vehicle (attempt number 2 but I was glad I waited to extra day for the rim repair). Not only was the exterior incredibly clean (not some machine car wash that some minimum wage HS student runs your car thorough at a dealership). The car was hand washed. It was far cleaner than when I dropped it off. But there's more... The inside was wiped down and vacuumed, including the rear seats/carpets. Who the hell does that at an auto body repair shop?!? Ironically, after taking my vehicle to RJ's the vehicle (interior and exterior) was the cleanest it had been shortly after my child had been born.
The bumper repair was great, looks factory new and so basically, my vehicle came back far better than when I left it which is ultimately what you expect from an auto shop but honestly don't get that often.
Bottom line, RJ is honest, takes care of his customers, goes way above and beyond, and is fully committed to making sure his customers are completely satisfied. In my case, I came back way more than satisfied. I was shocked with the level of service provided by RJ. Not something I ever expected from an auto body shop.

So my mazda got hit in a parking lot these guys did the best job out of every paint shop I've seen (I've seen a lot I work at a dealership) they where the only place that I can't tell where they painted. If you have any rock chips or any paint job and you actually care about the tiny details I would recommend these guys.

If i could give RJ a 6 star review, I would. Some would see it as simple and quick job, but after seeing his work on my car, and after speaking with him, I quickly realized RJ is as much about the details as I am about my car. That's something you cannot pay someone to do.
I ordered a set of Brembo brakes for my car, but the rear set in the color I wanted was on huge backorder. Alek from Alekshop asked if I'd like to get RJ to repaint a set of rears in another color so that I could get it sooner. At first I decided against it as the wait wasn't so bad, but after some delays from Brembo, I decided it was the best move to get what I wanted.
As usual, Alek and RJ worked well together and took care of getting the brakes from Alek's shop to RJ's shop and back. The rear set is indistinguishable from the front set, and that's what was key. There are some minor details in the rear set that actually make it look *better* than the front set, but those are things that you'd really have to get in close with the wheels off to see.
I found out later from some of the guys that were hanging out at the shop when the rear set came in that the initial color wasn't a perfect match, and that RJ took the set back to redo it to make sure they got it perfect.
From the reviews here, it sounds like I'm not the only one that has this type of experience with RJ's shop. Thanks RJ!

RJs took my 1988 Porsche 928S4 and made it look like new again. They went above and beyond and even did a few extras that I didn't ask for. I couldn't be happier with the job they did. I found them through Yelp and am glad I chose them as my insurance told me I could choose any shop I wanted, and I certainly have no regrets. I painted a few cars in my youth and know how difficult it can be to match new paint to old, but honestly, I can't tell where the new paint ended and the original 25 year old paint begins. I was involved in a no-fault collision and went to R J based on the yelp reviews (even though he was not on the insurance companies preferred list). As suggested by the insurance company , I fist got a quote from insurance preferred shop before going to RJ. RJ seemed to be a very very honest and a really nice person. Contrary to the insurance preferred body shop, he got me original BMW bumpers and other parts and not after market parts. He did not charge anything more than the insurance preferred body shop's original quote. Furthermore, he did me a favor and fixed a lot of other stuff without charging me.
I hope i do not have any accident ever and if I unfortunately land into one, I will not hesitate to go to him. Also I will recommend all my friends to go to him.

Took my 2005 Sienna XLE to get door weld issue causing loud clicking noise. RJ took the time to explain the problem and review options. Found this body shop through many recommendations on the BMW forums. My E90 was slightly damaged from a minor accident, so I decide to just get the entire "M3 style body kit" put onto the car as supposed to resorting back to OEM.
RJ and his crew pay great attention to detail on all the cars they work on. The body kit I had purchased was one of the first that his body shop had done, so some test fitting had to be done prior to install and paint. They made sure that all the body parts fitted properly and if not, they made all the adjustments necessary to get the right fitment! Many bay area bimmer owners have taken their cars to RJ!
The end result was awesome! I will definitely be coming back for any car body work in the future!

I wish I found these guys sooner. I previously had a terrible, terrible experience at a different body shop in Fremont and decided to give RJ a shot when I needed some minor painting. They take pride in their work and expand their business through satisfied customers NOT insurance companies. I had some minor paintwork done here and it came out perfect.

I took my BMW Z4 M coupe after I had the front bumper stratched and a bit broken. I decided to look around via yelp first before taking it in a shop - RJ's Paint Shop came up 5 stars with all reviews.
So I took it in and 3 days after:
- BMW is absolutely perfect. Looks way better than it was before.
- RJ offered some points I could improve for a fraction of cost I could find elsewhere.

This place is so good I have to write another review. My mom's brand new car was hit last November (late review) just like mine and we sent her car here. While it was in the shop she asked if they could touch up a scratch on the other side of the car, which they gladly did. Then to top it off I asked for an estimate to fix a piece on the underside of the car that had come loose since my mom drove over the curb too far. Instead of giving me the estimate they just fixed it while they re-touched the car. These guys really do a great job and I would highly recommend them.

The best collision job ever. Brought my wife's GL450 which was bumped by a *#$@$! driver. RJ was not even accredited by my StateFarm insurance but he did took care of everything for me and some. Came back to pick up my GL, it was clean and as if nothing happened. No hassle deal and RJ took real good care of us and our car. Highly recommended and will be back to their shop without hesitation. I own a BMW 6 series and I am very maticulous as to who I have work on my car. A couple years back someone hit the side of my car and I had a pretty bad experience with the auto body shop handling the repairs, I had to take the car into the shop 4 times before I was completely satisfied with the work. I expected my car to look just as new after the repair and it didn't until the fourth try. I recently was rear ended and I was referred to RJ for the repairs. I am so happy I found this auto body shop, the repairs were immaculate...my car came out looking better than before the accident. Since then I have had RJ paint the grills black and also tint the rear tail lights on my car and I have been completely satisfied with his work. I swear, I have the worst luck though. Just a couple days ago I noticed the side door of my car having scratches from a car bumper...looks like someone might have hit my car at a parking lot. Well anyway, I checked with RJ today about the repair and he is doing the work for a fraction of the cost I would have to pay elsewhere. I am very happy with his professional work and will refer friends and family to his shop.

So I figured I'd update this, it's been a while and all that.
I actually went back to RJ's for a second time. My car met a wall and the wall definitely won.
These guys put me back to spec, worked with the insurance and got everything on its way.
The first time I used RJ's Shop I had paid out of pocket, so I wasn't sure what to expect the second time. I wasn't sure if they had experience dealing with the adjusters and whatnot. But, my fears were unfounded, they definitely made the whole process very painless.
My car was fixed quickly and with a high standard of workmanship, and really I have no complaints. These guys are solid all the way through and definitely deserve your business.

My BMW 335i was recently hit while parked in a lot, and needed to get some body work done. I'm always hesitant to have my car worked on by people or shops that I am not familiar with. RJ's Paint Shop was recommended to me by friends on the forums, and boy am I glad I took it to them! I dropped by to get an estimate of the damages, and Tommy was there to take a look at my car and said I can just leave it there and he'll take care of the rest. It was already a stressful situation to be in, but Tommy made dealing with AAA, the adjuster, and the repairs pain free! AAA decided not to pay for certain damages parts, but the shop went out of their way to make sure that I was a satisfied customer. My car was soon ready to be picked up, and RJ's did an amazing job! The car looked good as new, beyond my expectations. A big thanks to Tommy, and the whole crew at RJ's Paint Shop! Keep up the good work!

I really just opened a new Yelp account so I can give RJ 5 stars, to be honest, I never see a need to create my very own Yelp account.
Anyway, I received a new aftermarket hood scoop, which came unpainted, for my mini cooper as a b-day gift. I was calling around the local shops in Mountain View for price quotes, and interestingly, they were able to give me some astronomical figures without even seeing the hood scoop. As you can guess, how big of a job this can be? Then someone from the Mini forum recommended RJ.
I have to say, my job is a very very small one comparing to the other jobs RJ usually handles, such as repainting hot rods, exotics...but yet, RJ and his crew spent as much attention and hours to ensure my hood scoop is finished and ready with high quality. He pretty much refused to deliver as he wasn't happy with the first few roundsof painting, and it was only due to the poor finish of the hood scoop.
Hope I can bring more businss to RJ in the future (for good of course, not due to damaging my cars in accident). No hesitation to recommend RJ!!

Ryan is very helpful. My Acura car 's paint was fixed very quick (5 minutes) for free. I want to bring my other car to him to paint the mirror, but my hub suddenly has a car accident today and the whole car was destroyed. I would say Ryan's service five star because he provide very good services.

RJ's paint shop did a great job on my front lip installation. Even though the lip wasn't a great fitment from the factory they made it fit nicely and look clean. Very professional and priced fairly. I am definately going back for some more work on my M3.

RJ and his crew take great pride in their work. They all have a very strong work ethic and are very detail oriented in their work; they work on your car as if working on their own. RJ is also willing to work with you on getting down to a reasonable (let's face it body work is expensive) price that leaves both you and him satisfied. I came in to have a scratch fixed and they did a fantastic job blending the paint together, I can't even tell where my car was scratched, which is ultimately what all body shops should strive to do. Highly recommend coming here for all your paint needs!

Haven't written on yelp for years but i have to give props to RJ and his crew. I don't think I've ever had a smoother transaction. Some douche backed into my passenger door and ran. My bmw dealer recommended B & S but after getting quotes from both I realized how much less work hours RJ was charging. It also was comforting that his shop was working on mostly BMWs when I went to get the quote and some were the same model and color as mine.
They took the time to explain the steps involved in the painting process and even suggested way to improve the look of my 335i. He squeezed me in on his calendar cuz he knew those dents on my car was killing me. When I decided to add a front lip as part of the work they offered to put it on and even paint it along with the bumper with no additional charge. Just picked up my ride today and the work is flawless. The color match is immaculate. I have that feeling of driving a new car again. Top it all off, RJ charged me less than he quoted. Aside from the superior quality of work they do, these guys run an honest business. They have a customer in me for life.

RJ rocks. He fixed the bumper on my dad's BMW when he backed into a pole and fixed the side moulding on my mom's Lexus when she scraped the garage. The work is high quality and was done in a timely fashion. RJ is communicative and honest, and he is honest about time spent on a job. I would take any car to him. He works on anything from Subarus to Lamborghinis. 5 stars!

Going to RJs is a bit like having your dad or your older brother work on your car. You know it's getting done right by someone who cares about the craftsmanship and quality of his work. The work was delivered exactly as promised. Couldn't have asked for a better body shop experience.
Most of the damage was covered by insurance, but since we had the car in the shop, we used the visit to fix up some of the parking lot abuse that we'd collected over the years. Everything came out perfect and RJ and his crew were all excellent.
These guys are the real deal... quality work done by people who treat you right.

Had RJ's paint a carbon fiber hood as well as my lower rear fascia for my C5 Z06 and they did an outstanding job. The quality of the hood was not the greatest to begin with but RJ's did everything within their power (and my budget ;) ) to make the hood blend seamlessly with my Z. Paint match is nearly spot on and he had the car back to me as promised in 4 days. RJ seems to be a really good dude and is an all around car nut just like myself so needless to say I felt comfortable leaving my car in their hands. I highly recommend RJ's Paint Shop!!

I would recommend RJs to anyone, the work is above and beyond and the staff and owner are fabulous. I have used RJs a number of times and am always impressed with what an amazing job they have done, and how easy they make the process on me. The last time we took a vehicle to RJs it was the result of a family tragedy, and the entire staff treated me and my family with an amazing amount of sensitivity and compassion, they truly go above and beyond to deliver exceptional service. I would not even consider using another shop, and you shouldn't either!

I've been taking my cars to RJ for years. Whether it was a Honda Civic or a Lexus GS, RJ (and his team) always treated me and my car like I was driving in a Bentley. RJ is a no nonsense/personable individual, tells it like it is, and won't try to sell you on something you don't need. The end product is nothing short of pure art and perfection. The work is always done on time (or earlier) and my car is always returned to me cleaner than when I left it (which is saying a lot)! Recently, I brought my Honda Ridgeline in to have a rear bumper replaced/repainted. Before I brought it in, I realized the I had a couple of rock chips on my hood (on the complete opposite side of the vehicle). I made a mental note to touch up the spots when I got the car back. The weekend after getting the car back, I was looking for the chips to touch up. To my surprise, the team at RJ's had noticed them (on the other side of the car they were working on) and touched up the chips! Who bothers to do that kind of stuff anymore?!?!? I will continue to take my cars to RJ as long as they are open and will refer anyone that will listen. The quality of workmanship and customer service is unsurpassed! Thank you, RJ and Team.

Top notch service and quality. Had my wrx hood scoop re-painted (rally blue) and the front lights done (was fading yellow). Both looked like it just rolled off the production line and I couldn't be happier. Wonderful communication as RJ and Paul took their time to listen and explain the work that will be done. New car....got hit with some debris on the road....I had another shop mess up my paint on a minor repair....and then I got rear ended a couple of weeks later. I was referred to RJ's as a place that would "nail" the paint...and RJ did nail the paint. These guys appeared to treat my car as if it were their own....which really make set my OCD at ease. They really take their time, and do the job right. They even were able to make the "other shops" work look acceptable. Nuff said.

RJ's shop is the best place in the area ... They worked on my 2007 and 2008 BMWs and did an excellent job ! Guys really know their stuff, use very good quality products and and very easy to get a hold of ... Owner of the shop likes to explain to you everything so you know exactly what will be done to your car which I think is very good. Ryan really impressed me by his pursue of high quality and dedication on perfect body work. Very skillful, honest, and helpful. Our 10 year old Toyota had an accident and corner lamp, front bumper got damaged. He told us clearly what needs to be done and how to do it right. He even did a temporary fix to secure the bumper for us for free. We ended up going with somebody else because we figure we don't need perfect work for an old car, but I feel I can trust him with any high quality work and reasonable pricing.
