I have a 2002 Honda Accord LX. It has a lever by the driver's seat for popping the trunk or opening the door to the gas cap. I ran an errand and pulled the lever to open the trunk. I think the cable to the latch may have snapped. The trunk wouldn't latch closed, and I couldn't open the gas door panel. I texted Marlon about it (it was after 9pm); he responded, Sure drop it off. I specifically asked if he could provide a cheap solution, like duct tape or something (I was only half kidding). I can't get a new car right now and have to make this one last. Marlon took care of my trunk and gas door situation completely! Fixing / replacing that cable would be expensive, so, per my request for a low-cost solution if possible, he addressed the trunk so it would close and I could still unlock it w my key or use my remote to open it. He took the lock off the gas cap door, and I can easily pry it open by popping it w my key. And he didn't charge me! Crazy! He's a really great guy, he's thoughtful to drivers' finances and needs, he's not out to bilk people out of their money. He likes helping people, he really, really does. I am so excited about this guy. I've found a mechanic I can completely trust. If you don't take your car there, check him out because he's got integrity and is very professional. Tell them I sent you.

***BEWARE OF MARLIN***
I went to this place because I was having trouble with my front tire. Marlin the owner said the problem was I need a new transmission which would cost 4K + [depending on what he found when he was in there]. I almost pulled the trigger but something didn't seem right. I brought it to another shop and got the problem fixed for very little money. It had NOTHING to do with the transmission. Marlin is a scammer. BEWARE

First, I called the dealer to get a price on replacing the panel on the back wheel cover of my car after it had been slammed into by a hit and run while parked in front of my house.
Dealer said: $150 for part, $150 for 1 hour labor
I figure that K & M could do it cheaper. They claim that they would have to order and paint the part. That would cost a lot of money. I told them that they can order it in the color it comes in. Then, they claimed it would take a minimum of THREE hours to replace the panel. The dealer says one hour, they say three?
The dealer is usually the most expensive. What is going on here?

Marlon and his team are like veteran Indianapolis 500 pit crews: they do excellent work with great efficiency 100% of what you expect. (Actually 120%) They pay great attention to detail and answer any question you may have in a helpful way. I took my 2010 Camry in to have dents, scratches, scrapes and scuffs repaired, and it looks new again. K&M is the shop for both of my cars, and always will be.

I've been coming to K&M for over 10yrs. They have the best prices and my car is usually done same day or definitely the next day. Get a quote from them and another shop and you'll definitely be back at K&M. Gowon

I had paint work done in 2009 on my car and remembered the service that I had received from Marlon. Recently I needed a huge scrape repaired on my rear bumper and front bumper work was also needed. Marlon worked with me in giving a fair price with the work being completed within hours as promised. This service means so much to me with my being a woman I have experienced situations in which this was not the case. I am very comfortable in referring K&M to family, friends and coworkers.
