Went in with my girlfriend to get an estimate for a new front bumper for her car and left this place very satisfied..
We met with Mike (owner) and he helped us out a lot since we were paying out of pocket (not thru insurance ) and seeing that my girlfriend and I are both college students he gave us a great price for paint and to repair the other damage to the car (caused by a flying truck tire)..
If you guys are in need of a paint/body shop (looks like they had a couple tire machines too) I would 10/10 recommend this place, Mikes one of the friendliest and helpful guys in the car community, definitely need more shop owners like him!

I was looking for a shop to get my car fix Nissan Altima and found Michael-iDesign on FB, saw some pics of his work and decided to contact him, from the first time he was so helpful answered all my questions, and got me a quote based on a pic i sent him and beated any quoted from the first time. Once i took my car to the shop to get it fix, i found out he has some Evos and Subarus, im a Evo X owner myself, i realized he was the guy i was looking for. So after he fixed my Nissan i decided to bring my Evo x front lip to color match it Apex Silver and he did an amazing job. If you're looking to get something paint look no further+ he do some mechanical work as well as tires installation so he has the whole Enchilada, everything in just one shop..

New update since this was removed off of yelp and it is my truthful review on a bad shop and a con artist owner and we have our protected rights of freedom of speech to give truthful reviews on companies over yelp thats what it yelp is there for, Rather then a company committing fraud deleting reviews to look better. So flagging real reviews from people who have used this shop and have a actual outcomes would be considered fraud if removed and to present a location or business and also to pay "anybody" to write good reviews to fraud a company to look better should be illegal. Took my car here after being referred by a so called friend i was totally ripped off paint is shitty bondo hardener is cracking paint all over it has been painted for a total of 3 months so far and paint is flaking as well there are runs and cracks everywhere and even spots that were forgotten to even spray with paint. I just had fresh brand new $400 swift racing springs installed by feal suspension in rancho the body shop owner sprayed my springs white with paint all over ruined them completely and told me i can just wipe them down with paint remover. I should of just of trusted my judgement and what i heard about this shop and taken my car to a professional and paid a little more but done correct and have someone take pride in the paint and repair work. To bad you have to give 1 star on yelp because forsure they don't deserve it. And any shop owner that asked people over facebook to write reviews good on yelp for them and get money for it is cheesy and pathetic.
Update on review 12.3.14.
After checking reply to this and also checking my messages and have received threats by owner. First off if there is a record of car thats great.. Then i will press charges and sue you for the damage to the car and aftermarket parts. Second you advertised my paint i payed for with my money for free paint jobs for other people??? If i can recall there was plenty of paint left over, insurance money was $1600 plus another $900 spent on paint and labor and rear of car still wasn't fixed had to have another bodyshop correct it for cheaper then what i paid at idesigns. This place is a sorry excuse for a bodyshop.
$1600 full insurance money supposably for cracking and chipping/flaking paint only? I should of just did a 1 day paint job and had better results for $200-$300 dollars and had car fixed by a professional and returned to owner "on time" not someone who would improvise repair tools.

Went in for a simple trunk lip install. I have a base 2015 WRX, so the trunk doesn't come drilled. They did a good job drilling through the trunk. It'll be nice and secure for track day shenanigans this weekend.
Turnaround time was quick but I was lucky and the job wasn't too labor intensive.

So far, great customer service! I was introduced to Mike via Facebook and sent him pics of my car and was quoted a great price. I scrolled the business Instagram and view their work before I agreed on the contract which fully described all that was to be done to my car. Coming from San Diego, I drove to Ontario where I met up with Mike who later graciously drove me to the Amtrak station free of cost so I could go home. That is amazing service! I needed to take care of some rust on my car. Got quotes from different shops and decided to go with iDesigns and have the whole car repainted as well. They pulled the windshield, cleaned up some rust, resealed the windshield, welded rust holes on the roof and resprayed the car for a very good price. They often say, you get what you pay for. Typically when people say that, it's because the work sucks but while I was unhappy with some overspray and the time it took, it was still a very good value. They worked with me since I brought the car in mostly disassembled which was great but you must be on top of things and let them know exactly what you want and how you want. I know of shops that charge 2x as much and do the same kind of work. In the automotive scene you have Cheap, Good and Fast...choose 2. I will be using them again on another project.

Took my car in for a new paint since my old one was peeling. However, after many weeks of waiting, they finally released the car back to me with very poor paint quality. The owner refused to correct the orange paint, and refunded me only 10% back. Never going back again. Two stars because they were polite about it and I was able to recoup some of my investment back, otherwise, I would have given 1 star and gone to the authorities.

After spending all day trying to get a good quote I finally found the best deal out there! I needed some side skirts and rear bumper lip painted and installed. Michael (owner) was thorough with his questions over the phone to make sure he provided the correct quote.
Drove all the way from Costa Mesa cause the quote was so good.
As soon as I got there, Mike offered me a water and made sure I was comfortable.
The price was more than 3x less than most places.
The staff here is very knowledgeable and they make sure you understand what they're doing on your car. Bok knows his stuff!
Can't wait to return to get my side skirts and bumper lips installed!

Ive had a bit of an Incident with a shopping cart at a Walmart a few days ago. Not being familiar with the auto shops in the southern California area, I asked around to see where I could get this situated and was referred to iDesigns. I will be following up on this review on Monday as today is Sunday. They are closed today.
*UPDATE*: I had arrived at the bodyshop around 10:30 today and they were happy to take me in, their service is top notch! their staff is friendly and easy to talk to. they were knowledgeable of what they were doing and gave me fair prices. You get what you pay for! This place is a sorry excuse for a bodyshop, they had my car for 3 MONTHS! The owner here Michael Pelagio picks & chooses the cars they work on. (they mostly do insurance "vandalism" claims by the looks of it) I was given a time frame of 1 month total for a color change. I dropped my car off on 4/12/16, (cash paying customer) They stop ALL communication once you put down a $100 deposit. I was finally updated on 5/18/16 that my car has been dismantled to be "prepped" for paint. (1 month later) this is after I was constantly being ignored via text, phone calls, emails & facebook message. 6/13/16 1 month later I receive a message my car will be ready to be picked up in 1 week on a saturday, on the day of pickup I get all my call/messages ignored again. At this point I already know my car has not yet been worked on, I see pictures on facebook of the shop working on other cars while my car is still in the background unpainted. The owner tells me he lost some employess and is bottlenecked & requested a bit more time. I originally asked if he would be able to widen my front fenders and install some rear flares. They are so incompetent they did not know how to work the rear flares. I finally just told them no to do any additional custom work & just get the car painted & get it out of there. They rushed my car & painted it within 3 days, I finally picked up the car on 7/15/16 (3 months) nothing was aligned properly like I was promised & they even lost my front license plate! I am not satisfied at all, the shop owner of course was not there & did not show his face the day I picked up the car, it looks like he had his friend release the car to me. In the future I would just go to a real shop and avoid these ghetto small businesses. Never again. I should have read up this guy on yelp and see that all the reviews are just friends that have not done any real work here at this establishment. Unbelievable this guy must not know how a business works, as a business owner myself I would never ignore my money paying customers. Without the customer there is no business. I am sure the owner will read this, keep screwing people over and you will face the consequences. I will make sure I let everyone know about how I truly felt about this transaction even at all car meets/ events/ social media & how crappy my paint job came out to be. They used to be called "Import image" at some point, now I know why its been changed to "Idesign". They will probably change their name again at some point. I will soon update with pictures of work.

I got to know Michael on one of the Evo forums. I got in contact with Michael because my Evolution 8 OEM hood need to repaint badly. Michael scheduled me to get the hood into the shop on Saturday ( usually the shop is closed on Saturday) but he got me in which is nice. The customer service is outstanding. He also willing to work on the deal with since i am car enthusiast.

fast turnaround on the job I brought in, took in parts on a Tuesday and by The end of the week they were done. Paint was alright just needed to get the orange peel , there was a bit of overspray and some cleanup time was needed but nothing crazy. Still haven't received the molding from door after I was told it was in the mail multiple times etc overall they completed the task at hand in time

Seen the reviews about 3 weeks ago. Went into the shop and met Jimmy and told him I wanted my lights swapped to all black LEDs and my rims powder coated all black on my GLI. Dropped it off Monday and everything was ready Thursday at 3 pm. Very quick turn around with friendly fast service. They definitely surpassed my expectations and if I could give them a higher rating I would. Reasonable pricing, great quality work and no gimmicks. Just to update what happened here; it's been over 3 years and Mike has not given me my money back for all of the damage he did to my wife's car. I've reported him to the BBB and the Bureau of Automotive Repair.
Like most of the other reviews on here, my experience with Mike and his shop, iDesigns, has been terrible. He was supposed to flare the fenders on my wife's 1970 Honda AN600, which he claimed would be "easy for him to do." He quoted me $1500 and I paid him in full, which was my first big mistake. The car was previously restored, and because of its age I told him specifically not to leave it outside. Not only did he leave it outside, but he ground the paint off before doing so, and all four fenders rusted. I would call every week or so to check on the status of the car and was constantly told that it was being "worked on as we speak," and "it will be done in two weeks." The story doesn't end here.
While this was going on I was scheduled to have one of my other vehicles featured in a magazine, and I needed the paint buffed out, and some fender flares added to this one as well. Hearing that the car would be featured in a magazine, Mike jumped at the chance to work on it, and promised to have it wrapped up in a week or two (notice the trend here?). Once again, I paid him in full, roughly $450 (a hook-up price, obviously, since he thought he was going to get magazine exposure out of it), thinking that my prompt payment would be motivation to take good care of my car, which was big mistake number two. One week, turned into two weeks, which turned into three, and eventually a month. On the day before the magazine shoot was to take place, a deadline which I had told him about several weeks in advance, I was told to pick it up and that it was "finished," I arrived to see two rookie "technicians" drilling holes in the side of my vehicle, so they could install poorly made flares, which were SPRAY-PAINTED minutes before I had arrived; spray-painted with regular spray-can paint. I wasn't sure what to make of it, because I couldn't believe that someone would run a business this way, so I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt (mistake number three). When they were done I was appalled at the shoddy work. I couldn't even open the back doors, and two of the fenders were already cracked by the time I got home. So in the month he had my vehicle he did nothing until a day or two before the last possible deadline date, and did a horrible job at it. Once again, the story doesn't end there.
Upon arriving at my house, and my wife seeing what had been done to my vehicle, became concerned about her 1970 Honda, which was still in Mike's possession. I called him to find out the status about it, and was told that it was put on hold, because he had to take care of my other car, and several other customer's cars. I find this disturbing, since he had only spent about two days on my other vehicle out of the month he had it in his possession, and why would he be working on other customer's cars when I had already paid him in full to complete mine a couple of months prior? To make an already long story shorter, he had my wife's car for five months. After all the excuses about other shop vehicles, Mike's health issues, and the lies about it being worked on when it wasn't, I finally decided to pick up my wife's car. I was presented with a check for $1500 (which bounced), and was told that the car was at his house! I went to go pick it up and it had been sitting at his house, outside, for months. It had been rained on, and was covered in bird-poop and tree debris. After the fenders were ground and cut, nothing had been done to the car; absolutely nothing.
When I called him about the rubber check he said that he had no funds, but would pay me back as soon as he "finished up a couple of jobs he had going," and that it would be deposited into my account via three payments. After constant calls and reminders I received the first $500 two weeks later, but that was where the payments ended. After I had stopped an associate of mine from patronizing Mike's shop I received a text from Mike, claiming that he no longer has the funds to pay me my final payments, because it was supposed to come from the job that I cost him on the other guy's vehicle. This makes me wonder what he spent my money on, since it was obviously not on anything that had to do with my car. It's been nearly a year since I gave Mike my money, and after repeated letters being sent from my lawyer, it appears that this will be settled in court.
From what I've recently been told this business is now called "Lowlife Fitment Garage." At least they got the lowlife part right.
Don't go to iDesigns. I wouldn't trust this guy to spray-paint the side of a condemned building. I'm almost positive he takes customer cars to Maaco and calls it his own.

I recently got into an accident and was referred to IDesigns (by a friend) to get a second opinion on my car, after AAA told me that their shop said it was a total loss. From the moment I contacted IDesigns, everyone was helpful and very professional. Thanks to Michael and Lloyd, after 2 days of my car just being there they were able to turn my car from a total loss to fixable and also found the replacement parts for my car.
They made the whole process of handling my car (plus working with my insurance) very fast and stress free!

Worst service ever!!! took my car in for a widebody install was told it would be a week lead time then was told it would take in extra 2 days which was no problem as long as it gets done right then I get another turn around time saying my car would be done Thursday so thursday comes around then I call no answer then I text no answer so I decide to just drive over to the shop they call me and tell me my car has not even got started on they just kept giving me the runaround for 2 straight weeks never will I do business with them I only gave them a good review at first cause I was told by Mike one of the workers their if I give a good review that they would give me a discount on the deposit

So this will be my third visit to IDesign. This time it was a full custom side extensions on my voltex bumper and paint match on my S2000. The side extensions did take a bit longer than I wanted. However, due to the nature of the custom work and aligning with the fenders i was ok with the timeline. The extensions came out perfect and line up with my fenders. Paint and everything was done well. Thanks, Mike!! Also, he stayed from 10AM to 11PM to wet sand, polish and made sure everything was perfect on the bumper. Even wet sand and polished my car for free before he handed off to me. I will definitely come back for more work.

I was looking around for a body shop to fix the front and rear bumper of my IS 300 when I was referred to this body shop. I met with the owner Mike, who was able to get me an estimated quote quickly and answer any questions I had. I dropped off my car to the shop to get fixed, and at the end I was very pleased at just how clean the fix and paint job was. My car looked brand new and shiny (also thanks to a beautiful rebuff). I brought my '03 Wrx here to get my rims powder coated gold. I had heard of this place and seen some advertising in a Facebook group I'm in. I showed up at 8:10, a little before they opened and met one of their guys and got in contact with the owner and was given an estimate of when everything would be happening. I accidentally forgot my key at home for the wheel lock lugs, so I drove around looking for places that might have a lug stripper. I came back and they ended up doing it for free but needed to do a little more work to bang some sockets on them. It took all day, which is kinda what I was expecting and I delayed them more by forgetting the lock. started at 11 and finished at 4. the wheels were sand blasted and then powdered and clear coated. I'm so happy with the gold Mike picked, he knew exactly what I wanted after sending some pictures to him the night before. all the workers are super nice and Lloyd (sp?) was really cool and refinished my headlights for 20 bucks on top of the 400$ powder coating, same day, wheel job. so $420, got home about 6, and now to dream of the future mods to my car. :) so happy with their work. thinking of coming back for some bumper work due to a semi trucks Rogue tire tread incident on the freeway, and because I want a more mean look. they give great prices and both Lloyd and Mike are cool dudes. Would super recommend!

Awesome shop. Spoke to mike and lloyd and theyre both very nice and helpful individuals. Id go as far as to say that idesign is probably one of the best customer service experiences ive ever had going to a body shop. I left my spoon sports bumper and the front bumper off of my mercedes for them to work on and i truly believe both bumpers will come out looking new! Lloyd gave me a tour of the shop and i can tell, based on all the automotive shops ive ever stepped foot in, this shop does some damn good work. Bottomline is: great people. Great shop.

I recently got into a little fender bender and i have been searching everywhere for a place that can do high quality work, all of a sudden when i was searching in the groups that i was in on facebook i stumble into michael that owns iDesigns a collision and paint shop that is located at Ontario, CA. I started talking to him right away and explained the situation on what happened to my car and went through all the details. He was very helpful and provided me with all the information i need to get me back in the road in no time. I highly recommend these guys at iDesigns when it comes to getting some work done on your car. It doesnt matter if you get into an accident or if you are trying to modify your car to your liking since i saw plenty of customized work on their facility. You can sleep comfortably and peacefully at night knowing that you car will be in very good hands and will be perfect again when they return it back you.
Again, Michael and his crew are hands down one of the best and i would not hesitate to recommend them to my family and friends! Im from San Fernando Valley and still drive all the way to Ontario, CA to get their top notch service. They are very professional with reasonable prices! They would go above and beyond to make everything perfect for their customers. Michael will make sure that before you leave their shop you are very happy with the results.

Really great place. Sent a SEMA build with next to no time to spare, and they got it prepped and painted in no time. Came out very professional looking. They clearly know how to work with aftermarket bumpers and parts.

iDesigns is one of the most friendly and helpful shops out there in SoCal. These guys take their time and really give you that awesome customer care. Mike is a very honest and friendly person guy. He took care of my voltex bumper and cant wait to see the finish product! I guarantee they will do great work!

Found Mike through a Facebook forum where I traded parts for his services. First off Mike accommodated me by meeting up after hours. He's super honest (gave me a fair value on the parts that I traded) and truly understood what I wanted to do with my car. That alone was worth coming here!

Too much to explain with this story but a bunch of people told me to go here off of an Evo Facebook group and I called and they had the best price and good word of mouth reviews from the Internet (it was a 2 hour drive for me to get to this shop)
So anyway I have an Evo 8 and I wanted a JDM rear (as does everyone else) so I finally got a brand new one from Japan I wanted them to paint it, they said it was cool $250 for it and that was $100 cheaper than everywhere else so I went out there dropped my bumper off and they said it would take like 3 days I think so I go back there and pick it up and it looks like absolute shit and they said don't worry bro just bring it back put the bumper on your car and we gotta wet sand and buff it and it will look good, now I'm a little angry because my new Jdm rear on my Evo now looks like shit. I message the guy I forgot his name (mike maybe?) and he said to put 5 stars on the Yelp review (he seemed like he only cared about the damn Yelp review not my actual problem of having a shitty looking bumper) I drove another 2 hours to get it wet sand and buffed and it looked a whole lot better but still about 4 flaws on it ( I'll upload pics of it ) and now about 2 years after they originally painted the bumper looks pretty bad. Yes they are cheap but they did a bad job on my car that did not stand up to the test of time and I wanted to change my original 5 star review which that guy wanted me to put for some reason to what my actual review is. Just go to a real shop and avoid this mess

Mike and the team at iDesigns were incredible. I was referred to him by a friend. They treated me like family and took care of my every need quick and efficiently. My truck was involved in a hit and run, and they took me in ASAP and their work was flawless. Not to mention, the communication with them was was diligent and beyond helpful, as well as insightful. I'm very grateful for the auto body work they did on my truck within a few days. Highly recommend them for their hard work and care of my needs. They will truly take care of you.

Was recommend to Michael by a mutual friend on a Evo thread. I live over an hour away from his shop, so dropping off my carbon fiber diffuser was going to be a mission. Decided to contact Michael and ask if he was able to meet up to drop off my diffuser on a Sunday since it's my only day off. Michael was very kind and professional to do me this favor, showed me he will do anything to keep a customer. Just a kind gesture like this can keep a customer coming back, I know I will. Patiently waiting to get my diffuser back haha. With all these great reviews I know my diffuser is in great hands with Michael and his team! Thanks again Michael.

It should be illegal to go to other body shops other than iDesigns. The quality and hard work the employees put into your car, whether you've been in an accident, or just simply wanna freshen up your car. This is the one place to have work done.

The new shop is bad ass really like the new set-up with the knew spray booth really like the cars that were their the s2000 subi and evo.....he also gives u warranty on his work getting my car repainted by mike again soon under warranty

Confused as to why they have 5 stars. I got in an accident where I was rear ended, the damages weren't terrible and my car was in this shop for A MONTH. A whole month, for what??? Kept pushing back the days it could be released by full weeks. I finally got a set date and on that day, they called and said it wouldn't be ready for another day. At this point I was livid. Car insurance was no longer going to be paying for the rental I got, so I told them they needed to pay the extra fees. Rental place kept calling me saying they were unable to get ahold of them time after time to pay and they were ready to report as stolen. It was finally ready so I told them that I would be able to get my car around 10pm after I got off of work and they agreed. While it was late, I didn't care because I wanted to put them out as they did me. Guess what. 9pm rolls around and no one will answer their phones. Shocking. I finally went in to get my car the next day and there's a chip and a line of some sort on the hood. Why was the hood even touched? Such a ridiculous experience. Never again. Also told my lawyer to not recommend this shop to anyone again.
