Been needing to get a smog check and found this place on yelp. I didn't get the gentleman's name that helped me but he got me in and out in no time I was pretty happy about that. Cost 50.00.

This is a great shop to take your car in for repairs. I needed a new fuel pump for my Chevy cavalier and was quoted 1000.00 from the dealer, discount auto beat their price by many hundreds of dollars and the work was done right. I will be back in the future.

I called and they got my car in that same morning for a diagnostic. They told me what the problem was and offered to do the repairs right then. It only took 2 1/2 hours total. I had my car at another shop and they told me I was going to have to spend between $1,200-$1,500 to fix the problem to make the crunching noise when I turned my wheels go away. Discount Auto found the problem (different than the other garage) replaced the part and the noise went away. Only spent a little over $400. I also asked about an oil change at a future date and they quoted me $80. My Volvo XC90 takes synthetic oil and takes more oil than most vehicles. I pay over $100 to get my oil changed at the usual oil change garages. I will be taking my car and our other vehicles back in the future.

The man named Mario was so incredibly helpful! My overheating light came on 20 minutes before I arrived there and he looked at my car during his lunch break and topped me off on coolant as well as gave me an estimate for a leaking radiator. He was really kind and patient and the price for the radiator replacement was lower than I expected. Over all this place was awesome :)

I always check Yelp before going to any business, or using any service I've never used before. This is another example of Yelp's benefit. Discount Auto gets well deserved high marks. I called this morning and spoke to Mauro about a check engine light and decided to go there. Mauro walked out with the diagnostic checker and found the issue right away. I needed an oxygen sensor replaced and I went for it.
They did an excellent job repairing the car in record time. In and out within an hour!
My only complaint is a huge markup on the part. I was charged $80 for an oxygen sensor and found that no other parts place I looked at charged more than $40.
That's what stopped me from giving a 5 star. I wonder what I would have been charged if I brought my own part?

Before you proceed here, make sure to click on the two "hidden" negative reviews in the gray text at the bottom of the page. While Mauro is friendly - this establishment proved to me to be king of the upsale.
I initially brought the vehicle in for a new water bump, but left feeling as if I may not have even needed a new pump, and was recommended 500 dollars in additional repairs which Maura attempted to explain, but within his own explanation, there was error as he was TELLING me a part was doing a particular motion, but visually it obviously wasn't.
Additionally, I was quoted 380 dollars for a part that typically runs around 20-50 dollars. From what I understand, this might have been because of the model of car I drive (never mind it's 13 years old).
Not recommended. Do your research first and put time into it.

Ok so. I'm no car repair expert, haven't the slightest clue where to go or who to call when things go wrong with my car or any for that matter. Usually a guy thing right? Well I had to take charge on this one when my fiancee's Honda blew its starter at his carpool meeting location in Redlands. Since he works ungodly hours it fell on me to get his car back to WorkinG and ProNto . So what did I do? I searched yelp ;) Found several places in redlands, Called a few, explained the situation, even called one that "specializes" in Hondas A&H I think it was. What did I hear? " Lady its gonna run ya $350 to $400 and that's just in parts." Say what??? Yea. I hung up. Then I read reviews on this place so I called. What did Mauro (their manager) say? Its going to be $240 for BotH parts AnD Labor..!!!:) Yea I was excited. I know my "other half" wouldve happily paid the first price to have his car up and running in a day since he needed it-but I'm a diFFerent story. A penny pincher, so to speak. So $240? That was where I went. Handed over the keys and just a few hours later they were DONE. Did I mention he towed my car to his shop at No Extra Cost! (They initially tried to start it but alas the starter REALLY WAS FRIED. Guess they didn't charge since I had told them that from get go and he still thought they could start it and bring it to the shop themselves since little 'ol me expressed my fear of being charged a lot just to tow a few streets or so. Anyway, nice of them to throw it in at no charge) My fiancee got his car back fast and it didn't hurt OuR wallet ONE bit. I'd def recommend this place and will most likely come back here if anything else ever comes up with any of our cars (:

I had to replace the clutch in my car and didn't have much money to do So. I called around and got several quotes. I decided to go here since they let me bring in my own part (since I wanted a specific brand clutch) as well beyond far the cheapest price. Unfortunately, the new clutch I had brought in turned out to be defective. Mauro worked it out with Star auto and even exchanged the defective clutch directly with them without the need for me to even go back and forth. Even though it was no fault of discount auto the part didn't fix my car, Mauro still worked with me to give me a great price for the work. He ended up essentially having to do double the work on the car, and I still ended up paying way less than any other shop had quoted! AND in the end didn't even charge me for resurfacing the flywheel!! I will definitely return to this shop in the future for any work my car needs and can highly recommend them to my friends and family.

We own a 2001 Lincoln Navigator. The air suspension finally gave out. We were worried about spending several hundred to repair it. The owner found a way to repair it without breaking the bank. We ended up paying less than the estimate.

Friendly, fast, honest, and very accommodating! They even drove me to a friends house nearby so that we didn't have to wait at the shop and then came and picked me up when my vehicle was finished!
