I did a lot of research and decided to visit A-Plus Nissan Honda Toyota Service. I read the high rated auto repair shops including their low ratings that they received. I used to do my own repairs but due to infirmities of old age, I gave away my equipment and tools to protect what movements my body has left going toward 70. Since I have moved from Rancho Cucamonga to Corona, the new place to find servicing has not been stellar.
I have had successes in finding good auto service businesses for all my foreign and domestic cars that I have owned throughout the years. I have also been very disappointed as many have experienced regarding quality servicing of our motorcars.
I had a chat with Rick for what I would consider a simple brake job on a two year old Honda with 48,000 miles since new. Front right discs making squeeling noise. Typical time to get new pads and true up the two front rotors. The rear drum brakes most likely can go another 30K miles from what my experience in doing these repairs for myself and people who I did the repairs for favors or some cash since I was a broke student working on my college degree.
Rick impressed me with simple and direct discussion and if I asked a more detailed question, he would make it easy to understand. Rick walked to my Honda and with a telescopic dental mirror, looked at the front brake calipers to peer to the brake pads, examined the rotors and visual assessment of whether there was fluid leakage indications. I know this because that's what I would do. I asked him to give me a quote and I was satisfied. It was not the cheapest quote nor the highest. It was a price that was in the range of others. What made me tell Rick that I would be back the next morning between 8 and 9AM was that Rick to me seemed genuine.
I got at his service bay around 8:25AM and he stated that my Honda cermet (metal ceramic OEM) brake pads arrived and everything is set to go. My wife and I took off to eat breakfast and do some chores. I get a call from Rick and everything is completed. Great.
When I get there, Rick shows me that the oil that was put in by the car was 5-20W not 0-20 weight synthetic.That the people who replaced the air filter lost the bracket that secures the air filter. He had a new one delivered. Stated that my window washing fluid was near empty and I needed to top off my anti-freeze fluid because the reservoir was empty and would I mind if he filled them. He filled them for free. The air filter clip was at cost at $5. The new air filter clip was in a shrink wrap. Just a simple look at the clip area, I knew that it was at least 5 months from the debris and dust. This is why I needed to find a place again that can do an honest job.
I have paid for brake repairs that ended up costing me more in repairs for a job that was not done right by mechanics who couldn't care less and owners of businesses taking short cuts with inferior off brand parts that fell apart. I don't want to be that person nor my wife or son that stands next to a car or truck on the side of the freeway or worse, a collision or accident that was due to the disregard to quality service. As I go on in age, I want to not have regrets.
I believe that I found a person that take interest in a job well done. Well Rick, I will take my beautiful wife's SUV and my college student son's car that never gets washed nor respect for you to care for because that is one less thing that I can rest and be assured that their motorcars are well cared for.

Left disappointed after discovering out how shitty my usual mechanics were!! Rick was such a lifesaver, though. Was in the area when my car started making a weird noise, so I yelp-ed a nearby place that could deal with my 91' Toyota Corolla, and A-Plus did the trick.
After a few diagnostic tests, we figured out that a piece of protective plastic underneath my car got loose...snip snip, GONE. What really surprised me the most was how thorough of a job he did! Rick noticed a lot of errors that my other mechanics made, including, but not only a fake brake pedal bushing that was previously installed in my car.
In terms of service, I was especially appreciative of the care that was given, since Rick would even check and solve some of the more obvious issues like a semi-flat tire or un-tightened oil cap. When it comes to pricing, you're given a clear understanding of the kind of service and/or part you're requesting, so I'm definitely coming back here again!!

First moved to Riverside 5 years ago and went to Rick's shop. Told him I'm looking for new mechanic. Im very happy with his work and refer my friends to him and they all happy with him too. Usually gets work done in 1 day 2 max. Very good mechanics and my '99 ES 300 with 240k is still running good and happy :)

Ricky is very honest person and his work is awesome, and he use Genuine parts to do the replacement. I am first time come his store, take my toyota camry to change the engine oil, transmission fluid, cabin filter, clean the throttle plate, replace the barke pads and resurface the brake rotor. Rick and his partner check my car and do the works very carefully, Thank you very much!!! My car runs very good right now. I will come back to do the service next time.

We have been coming to A Plus Nissan Honda Toyota since about 2001. Rick is an awesome mechanic, super friendly and very honest and fair. Jose works with Rick and is also a great mechanic. I have referred friends and family members here and every single person I referred here has been very happy.

I've been coming here for over 15 years now so I guess it's about time I took the time to leave a review lol
I brought my '91 Acura Legend back when Rick's older brother Steve ran this place. Steve 'retired' but I still have my Acura! Rick has since been looking after both my Acura & Honda. I used to take my cars to the dealers but no longer need to since I've found someone who I trust & would recommend 100%. That's saying a lot for me. Give Rick a call & tell him I sent you! :-)

This is based on an inquiry I had made on my vehicle over the phone. Rick was very helpful in trying to answer my questions, so he does seem very knowledgeable when it comes to auto repairs. I would have loved to bring my car in and possibly get a diagnose, quote, or anything that would help solve my car issues. Unfortunately, I was told that he did not want to get involved with my car. Based on all the things I had explained that was happening to my car, he just decided he was not willing to work on it.
I am a bit thrown off by it, but all in all he was helpful on answering whatever questions I had.

Thanks to Yelp - I found this place. The reviewers are right! The guys are honest and really nice!!
I had a light come on this morning... forgot about it, then remembered at 2:00 - called them up - they said come on by.
I thought I read in the owner's manual it was the brake fluid light... no lady its a tire pressure light. They moved a car out and put my car in - and filled up the tires, drove it around until the light turned off and then handed me a business card (no charge!)
I told them I'd write a nice review on them on Yelp. Well, next time I need an oil change or any other maintenance I will be heading here. My old mechanic is a little to far for me to drive to. A bonus- Yelp directions showed me the 'back roads' way so I didn't have to sit on the fwy in the horrible traffic! Whoot Whoot!

Rick is very honest and straight forward . He's very easy to work with and friendly and provides you with knowledge you need to make a proper decision. He has a great shop and gets the job done the first time the right way. He doesn't mess around and waste time. He's very professional. I've been taking my cars to him for the past 10 years and my family has been taking there cars to him longer then that. He's very nice and he does great work for the price! He does not over price.

I came in on a Wednesday morning as a walk-in. I was helped right away and told the price would be 56 dollars and some change. I agreed to have the oil change done (synthetic). As I was waiting Rick wanted to show me a couple things he was concerned about. Instead of recommending all these miscellaneous things I needed done like most retail service centers, he he just showed me a bit of a leak and that I might have hit something near my right back tire because the plastic around the tire was coming loose. I was thankful that he wasn't trying to sell me something because I hate having to put up with that. The oil change took 30 minutes, I got a 15 dollar mail-in rebate, and a sweet calendar. The service center is so close to my home too. My oil change experience is how all other experience should be for automobile owners who get their car serviced. I'll be coming back for my next service.

Reliable and professional service! Have been a loyal customer ever since I started driving (since 1999) Rick and Jose are both professional and are very friendly. They give you an honest quote and does the job in a timely manner! If you go in with a problem he may or may not tell you that you have other problems; if you do he can tell you aprox. when you should get it done by (another 3k miles depending on severity of the problem) my car is now well over 300k miles. Thank you a+! I look forward in seeing you guys soon; we'll work the hour+ drive

I looked all over Riverside and Corona for an honest Toyota repair shop. I settled on A-Plus and am I glad I did. I experience a first. I was told that my power steering rack, my power steering pump and hoses would need to be replace by a dealership mechanic. I bought the parts and took my car to A-Plus. I received a call after about 20 minutes after I took the car in. I though, here it goes, the add on's and increased expenses. Rick called to advise me that the Power Steering Pump and hoses were completely unnecessary so he reduced the bill and just replaced the steering rack that was needed. I had never experienced in my 59 years my old dealership calling me to say my bill was lower. This was a first. The job done was great. The price was way better than the dealership and he now has myself as well as my family and friends as new customers.

Rick is such a honest and reliable man. My car broke down in Corona at a friends house, and he recommended this place since his parents have been coming here for years; I am thankful I took my car here. After Rick found the problem to my car, he explained and showed me the problem. After a couple of hours he called me when it was done. When I got there, he also explained my radiator was cracked and some pipes were leaking. I guess when I got my oil change the shop didn't check it or they did a sloppy job and missed it. Thankfully he caught the problem. He was very informative/explained everything that was wrong and showed me. I live in Monterey Park, but I am going to drive to Corona to have them fix my car tomorrow; just because I trust their service, and great work. Thank you for having such a reliable shop I can trust!!! Definitely recommend this place!

These guys are awesome! They did a great job replacing the fuel pump on my Ramcharger. Honest, straight forward, & great rates. Dropped my truck off around noon and they finished the job the same day! I highly recommend this shop!
