EXCELLENT EXCELLENT.. Finding an honest mechanic these days is like trying to collect money door to door- for the "bring back knightrider to tv" fund, damn near impossible, BUT even knightrider would take his car to Pro-Tech Automotive. This is because the discussions are honest, to the point and provide you with what has to be done vs what needs to be done information.
That is worth going for in the first place. Quality repair and affordable prices are the second reasons for bringing your business here.

I recently found out i had an oil leak, and my A/C belt was squealing. It took a few days but Lance got me in, found the problem, and repaired my vehicle. It now runs better than ever for an old car, and the A/C is blowing really cold. I would give them 5 stars, but the price seemed high, but then again maybe it was fair

Being new to Jacksonville, I wasn't sure where to take my car for honest service. Recently I had work done on my 2008 Ford Focus and was thrilled with the work that this shop did. Pro-Tech automotive employees were very nice and professional. I felt very comfortable with their diagnosis on my car. They had to order parts but, they fixed my car and it was ready the very next day! This was the second place I'd taken my car to for a diagnosis. Their prices were just slightly higher (the reason for 4 stars instead of 5). However, because of their professionalism, friendliness, speed of service, and quality of repair I will continue to take my car there for any repairs.

These guys stand behind their work. If it's not right, they will make it right. I tried taking my elderly father's F250 Super Duty to them, but they don't work on diesel engines. I've had great service, fair prices (and the price they quote is the price you pay!), and I would recommend them to my mother. Like another review said, they don't try to fix what is not broken. I really think this is a shop that is doing things the right way. Fair prices. Great service. They are my mechanic shop of choice. I have a 2002 Toyota Tundra. My wife has a 2000 Honda Accord. My son has a 1998 Nissan pickup. We run older vehicles and Pro-tech has helped us save a lot of money doing so. I would suggest that anyone in the Mandarin/Baymeadows areas should give a try. Due to the fact I did not want charge such an amount on my credit card, with a vacation coming up at that time, Pro Tech Automotive help me out a great deal. For over $1400.00 of work: Air Conditioning, overhaul of breaks, and entire new muffler for my 1996 Ford Ranger they allowed me to set up a payment plan to pay the amount in full, while having my Air conditioning, non-squealing breaks, noise free muffler truck. And I would like to add that they had the work done within 2 days after setting up payments. saj

Just left the store and knew I had to leave a review for them. This was the friendliest auto-repair shop that I have ever been to! Lance was really great to work with, understanding of the problem, upfront about the costs, and really great to talk to in person and over the phone. My car needed a new engine mount and Lance was really fast at getting the part to the shop and had it replaced in 3 hours. Outstanding service, recommending to all my friends.
