Take your vehicles here. Don't even bother looking for another shop, you won't be disappointed.
This is the best auto shop I think I have ever dealt with (and I REALLY like my local mechanic). My kids and I were on vacation when we had car troubles. After basically being turned away by the dealership we wound up at O'reilly's to replace some parts and hopefully fix it myself. When that didn't work the guy at O'reilly's suggested Ron's. Since I was in a bad way I decided to risk it, and it was AMAZING. When I first pulled up and explained my problem Ron told me what to try to fix it myself and then bring it back if that didn't work. Well that didn't work so it was back to Ron's. They spent half the day diagnosing my problem, to include replacing parts until they figured out my problem. Then they let me decide how to proceed, since it's about 4x as expensive to fix in California compared to going to a state with sane emissions standards. They didn't sugar coat it, they didn't force me to spend $2400 to fix my problem when I can get it cheaper elsewhere, and I couldn't be happier.
Ron worked for Ford for years, and is a wealth of knowledge and information. He gave me such a good deal for the amount of time and work they did that I still can't believe it. I actually tried to pay him more than he charged just to thank them for their help and support and he wouldn't take it. I almost wish I lived here so I could take all my cars to them. Everyone there felt like family, that can give you honest advice and fix anything. I could go on and on, but I'd rather stop and say that you need to take your cars to Ron's. Stop reading this and go get your car fixed at Ron's.

I never ever write reviews but this situation bothered me enough to do so. I was quoted $1000 to fix my breaks.... Supposedly my break pads were so metal to metal it was unsafe to even drive it off the lot. The individual I spoke with on the phone said he would not let me drive it off the lot and that I would have to call a tow truck if they didn't do the work. When I decided against paying such an absurd price and went in to get my car he just handed me my keys, so he was trying to scare me into paying the $1000 to fix my car. I did the job my self and only spent $200. The reason im writing this review is because my supposed break pads that were dangerous to drive on were barely metal to metal. My father, being a master certified mechanic for 20 years, warned me about shops like this. They want to charge you for work that isn't necessary because its a quick and easy job.

I have been a customer of Ron's Quality Auto for years. As a young female at the time, now much older...
I had been taken to the cleaners by other local spots. If your not mechanically inclined you are at the mercy of scam artist posed as professionals.
What don't I love about Ron's. They are straight forward, they don't over charge you, and you pay for what you get. They are so knowledgeable and friendly. They go above and beyond for you.
They are not just mechanics they are community members that care about customers like they are neighbors.
I remember taking my old Lincoln into them and they said please dont make us take your money. This car is getting worse and worse. We know you love it but its not worth financially repairing it.
I couldnt believe it. They could of easily taken my money and sent me on my way. I would not of been the wiser.
I have now become somewhat of a DIY mechanic and do a lot myself. But when I am in over my head I come here.
I tell everyone GO TO RONS!!! everyone.
You wont regret it. They are fast, competent, and fair.

Disappointed. Based on reviews I sent my son to this shop for a safety check/test drive as he will be making a round trip to So Cal and I wanted to make sure his car was good to go. Although over the phone I was quoted $50 for the safety check my son left there with a "No Charge" for the check however he was given a $900 estimate for the front suspension.I Had a conversation with the owner and trusted him that this really needed to get done so I approved the work. At one point during a conversation, I asked about the tires and stated that I was surprised they were good, and at that point I learned that the tires had not even been looked at! WHAT?! So I had my son take the car back for a tire check. Ended up I am being told that we need at least two new tires. So now I am extremely concerned about this entire "safety check". Were the hoses checked? Fluids? I called a 3rd time and spoke to the guy who runs the shop and he told me that if I had wanted a "thorough" check that would have cost me $50 while the, I guess, "not thorough" check was FREE. Hmm, they obviously put the car on the rack to tell me the front suspension needed to get done. Now I am questioning EVERYTHING they have told me and will need to have the car checked elsewhere so I will feel comfortable with my son making that long drive. Very, Very disappointed.

If only I had polled my friends before losing money at other auto shops in town, I would have known that Ron's is the right spot for me. I will be using this place from here on for my repair needs. The staff is friendly, and the prices are honest and fair.

My mom had been going to Ron's since forever. so when the time came for my car to be safety checked of course we went to Ron's. Wonderful service and great pricing. This is the most honest auto shop I've ever been to. Due to some miscommunication I had thought Ron had said I needed a new battery when I didn't. So this made me apprehensive to go there again but Ron values his customers so much he gave me a call to fix this misunderstanding. I was reassured and reaffirmed about this auto shop's honesty and integrity. Best auto shop in Eureka and I extremely recommend his service. Ron and his whole staff were nothing but kind and understanding. Ron's auto repair is amazing and you'll always get the truth there.

These guys will quote you a fair price for quality work. The owner is a straight shooter and takes care of his customers. The work is also warrantied for 2 years thanks to NAPA Auto Parts. I will be going back when the inevitable happens.

This business was recommended to me by the housekeeper of our hotel. She said they were reputable, honest and was reasonably priced! I had a mild issue with one of my brakes & it was repaired in minutes! This place has integrity and didn't take advantage of me for being an out-of-towner!

Took my Pontiac Vibe in for brake pads and they didn't try to sell me anything else. In fact they told me the last brake job didn't lube my calipers, so he did and said they should be good. (which Les Schwabs told me I needed calipers) I was told I needed rotors by another place and I didnt. I have found my forever mechanic! Thank you Ron's. Fast, Quality work at a good price.

Saved my Dad a $500 bill, had a lite come on and everybody wanted big $$ to analyze the truck, one mechanic said 2 sensors with a total of over $500 and $75.00 just for hooking it up to the analyzer, After 2 ripoffs we heard of Rons ,brought it in and presto !, Simple fix, no charge for anything, we were on the road in minutes, this is probably not typical but I've heard from a few folks that the guys there are incredibly honest, and up front about everything they do, and being straight up as you first business standard of practice is my kind of place, they've got my business for life, I got a feeling there gonna get a lot busier very soon, check them out if you need mechanic help , they are the best in town all-around and i've been going to mechanic shops in Humboldt for over 25 years, and it's a relief to find a safe place you can trust !! this review comes from the experience of 7 of there customers stories of there time at Rons and not one I talked to was disappointed, even the bad news they sometimes have to give is followed with options which give you hope, anyway, Great Place, try them out and you'll see, and then post you experience good or bad, lets help all of us with used cars and having to trust a strangers advice Rons is worth the trip!!!

I have been going to Ron's Quality auto for about 15 years now. I love how honest and straight forward they are. Ron is great and so is Jason. In a industry where you can be taken for every last penny Ron's is a breath of fresh air. I recommend all my friends to Ron's because he is trust worth. He doe not do necessary repairs. He will tell you honestly if the repair is worth fixing or not. Great local shop with integrity.

I have been dealing with Ron for over 30 years. He is by far the best and most honest mechanic I have ever dealt with. I am constantly referring friends to Ron. He's a heck of a fisherman, too.
