I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS FACILITY TO ANYONE FOR ANYTHING.
If you only need a smog check maybe this shop can manage to get you one done, but don't count on them to send the results to the DMV. I needed more than just a simple test, I needed a complete emissions rebuild from the CARB approved headers through both catalatyc converters. It didn't start out well, they needed to keep my vehicle for a week while they evaluated what was required. Everytime I went buy my vehicle was across the street and Mark (looks like a strung out biker) said that he'd get right on it. AFTER A week, I was given an exorbitant bill but I needed to register my vehicle. Before they started I was asked to put a $1000 deposit to order parts, I complied. It took 2 weeks for the parts to come in and another week to put them on. I took my vehicle and said I'd be back in a couple weeks so they could finish. I came back and was asked for another $500 deposit to order the remaining parts, again I complied. I called 2 weeks later to see if the parts came in and was told yes. I dropped off my vehicle and was told it would be ready in 2 days. I came by 2 days later and was told they had to order another part. Bottom line it took another week before it was ready. It passed smog but it's obvious that I'm missing vacuum lines smog pump filter and numerous other parts.
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS FACILITY TO ANYONE FOR ANYTHING.

Normally I wouldn't come here to take a shit, but they're the only mechanics around that open before 9am, and I badly needed an oil change.
As soon as I drive into the bay, Mohammed starts prepping the car for a smog check, I hadn't even told him what I was there for. He then tells me he can't change my oil. Another mechanic standing behind him speaks up and says they only have synthetic. Mohammed failed to mention this for some reason.
After the oil change, my radiator reservoir starts steaming, no leaks were found, the douche bag Mohammed loosened my rad cap to fuck with me for giving him lip.

So a day after my car's radiator hose broke and my coolant was spilled on my way to OC. The engine was over heated and i almost lost control of the steering wheel on the freeway due to their lack of attention when they fix my car. I almost died! They suppose to check for everything when they open the hood. When i first talk to the owner, he denied the responsibility by saying that they have nothing to do with it. After I made it clear that if they don't come up with a proper solution I will take legal actions against them and report them to the BAR, they agreed to tow my car back to the rialto shop and to replace my engine with no charge.
After I got my car back, I took my car to the mechanic that i trust and they told me that 7to7 did not even finish the job. I was furious! Bolts on the engine frame were very loose, they did not reset the car system, and did not do an alignment after they removed the rack and pinion (to replace the engine), etc.... luckily, my mechanics did not charge me to finished "their" jobs. seriously, they do not deserve to be called as mechanics. I would call them "MALCHANICS" since all they do is DAMAGE YOUR VEHICLES.
I don't understand how this place has a 4.5 star, they are probably rated by family member, friend or people they paid to write good reviews. But i am a real customer and it was definitely the worst experience ever!

Rip off artist....I took my car to them to find out about a check engine light. They called me a hour or two later claiming they fixed it and the cost was $550. I thought that seemed strange so I asked for the broke part.....could show me. than I threaten to call the bural of transportation. Then the guy gave my car back and claimed he put my old parts back. Than 30 minutes later my car light came back ON. Liars!

This place is pretty amazing. I went to get my a/c fixed because of the Riverside heat was killer. My dad had previously got the a/c done and spent hundreds of dollars only for it to still not be working. So I was expecting this job to be a couple hundred.
So first of all its pretty small and was sort of awkward getting their attention. But I just went up to them and asked and just had to wait for about ten mins for them to get started.
First they thought it was my a/c compressor and they gave me a price and then some sort of fee to diagnose what was going on. So I'm just thinking that my estimate was spot on and was a bit sad that car troubles are so expensive!
Well they kept me informed the whole way through and found out it was the relay and let me know they were out getting parts. Still had that estimate in my head...
Once they got everything finished they took me to my car and showed me the a/c works and the light is no longer blinking. Hurray!
So I go inside to pay thinking it would be expensive and nope was only ~ $100. Not bad for an a/c job.
BTW I AM NOT FAMILY/FRIENDS OF THE OWNERS. I JUST CAME ACROSS THIS PLACE THROUGH MY FELLOW YELPERS!

Ok, so I took my car to these guys and they said my timing belt broke and I needed a new one. They charged $350. They also said that a valve might have been damaged in the process and that they would have to remove the head to replace the valve and that would be $1200.They said that If I continue to drive the car it will misfire and my car is basically running on 3 cylinders. I took it to my mechanic and he said I blew a spark plug when the timing belt broke. $160.
I don't see why they are so highly rated. I felt like they were trying to get one over on me and I was right.

As good as it gets! Went here today after my car suddenly stopped starting up, it wasn't my battery so I went in and got it diagnosed. This is one of the best places in Riverside to get your car fixed! Jimmy is a real bro and deserves this 5 star review. I was panicking and looking for places to get my car fixed, and stumbled upon this one which had the most 5 star reviews and was closest to my school. He fixed my car within an hour and charged me only $100 bucks.. 100% honest business and people, they could have charged me for a bunch of random stuff which I didn't need, but he knew I was tight on money being in college and all.
Definitely going to take my car here for any repairs/smog whenever I'm in Riverside no doubt about it. Jimmy saved my life today I wouldn't have known what else to do if I didn't take my car to his shop.

I trusted yelp reviews with this business, however, my own experience with this repair shop was quite bad. I needed an oil change and my front brakes replaced, pretty easy repairs. While I was there I asked if they could give me a quote to fix my heater, it was busted. Since I live pretty close to this shop they gave a ride home and picked me up, great service so far.
The service they did and the price was good. The real issue I had with them was that when I got back in my car the glove box was busted! They needed to access the heater through the glove box. I pointed this out to them, fingers where pointed and the 'mechanic' who actually broke it tried to deny that he broke it, I said it wasn't that way before I brought it in, finally the manager said he would replace it for free, I said fine, let's do it. He looked at the glove box, figured out which part he needed to match the one I had and said he would give me a call when the replacement came in, a week passed and I never received a call, so I went there to find out why, turns out the manager was 'no longer with them', the new manager had no idea what was going on, said he would replace it, never heard from him either.

These guys are super cool. I've taken my Sentra in twice for smog tests. The first time they were busy and the mechanic mentioned that the Mexican restaurant next door was bomb. It was. He seemed so chill that I showed him a $900 quote for the work my car "needed" from another place to get a second opinion. He just laughed and told me that my car was fine and that as long as I kept it maintained it should stay fine for at least 10 more years. 2 years later, with no car problems, I returned for another smog test and it took all of maybe 10 minutes. They seem honest, and that goes along way in this field.

Horrible! I don't know why this is a highly rated place. I went there because my service engine soon light went on, they said if they do a diagnosis then they would charge 75 but if I decide to get the work done then it would be 35 for the diagnosis and the repair cost. They checked the obd code and it came out to be 335 and 725, which indicates an issue with the crankshaft sensor. Then they wanted to check what is causing the problem. I asked them to go ahead. The mechanic seem to be short on knowledge because, he was checking something and was coming back to check the internet, I suppose. After a while, he came up and said I need 2 sensors for the 725 code (both camshaft and crank shaft) and all of a sudden he said the other code is 35 not 335 and said it might be the transmission module. They would fix the 725 code and if the problem persists then the transmission module might need a replacement which is around a thousand bucks. I was suspicious as they already said the code is 335 and 725 (which makes sense because these two are interrelated) but now they are saying its 35, while in original there is no such code. I just paid the 75 dollars and went to Burke's auto repair, they checked it and said its 335 and 725 and the sensor( only the crankshaft one, not both crankshaft and camshaft as suggested by the 7 to 7 mechanic) needs a replacement. I changed the crankshaft sensor from Burke's and the car was fine again. Kevin, the owner was saying this is a pretty common problem for Nissans, and how 7 to 7 made a complete mess of such a simple problem. If you are unsure just leave it there, don't make faulty judgements and try to convince for costly repairs. Maybe they were good previously or they are a good smog station, but I really do not know how this place is so highly rated. I am giving it a 2 star because I changed battery and oil from here, and the service was close to reasonable in that case. Otherwise I would have given it a zero, if I could.

To be honest, when I pulled up to 7 to 7 this afternoon I had to wonder why it was the best and most reviewed place on Yelp in the Riverside/Moreno Valley area. It looked like any other small auto shop to me. I hoped I hadn't made the wrong choice going there.
I didn't.
I had a check engine light on for my EGR valve and I got an honest estimate up front. They also were kind enough to check my battery and alternator for me because I mentioned I'd had trouble starting my car this morning.
Since I had no ride and it was such a small shop, I'd planned on walking down the street to wait at Baker's but I'm glad I stuck around and waited at the shop. All the guys were friendly and they let me hang out in the office with the AC on while they ordered the necessary part and swapped it out. They even got me a drink when some of the guys went to get lunch!
Super nice staff, decent price, and efficient and honest work. I'd happily come back here again.

Okay, I have NO idea why this place is a 5. I feel like most of these reviews are by family or just friends.
I am a real customer and I'm pissed.
Took my car in for a smog and the people working there did not acknowledge me. When I went there, I asked if my smog would pass or not and after waiting for about 30 minutes, they said I needed a sticker on my intake for it to pass. Fair enough, I leave and thanked them.
I came back with a brand new intake with the sticker about 4 days later. They KNEW it was a brand new intake because we told them...and they remembered us. They do the smog and it failed. They said it was because the monitors weren't ready because it was a new intake. OKAY, well, how long have you been opened for? Can you at least be honest with the customer and let me know that if its a new intake, then it would fail anyway? Before you charged me 50 bucks? Assholes. They told me to drive about 200 miles and it should pass. SO, I leave and thanked them anyway. They
250 miles later, I came back, and apparently, the monitors still weren't ready. I leave once again.
600 miles later, I came back, and apparently, the monitors STILL weren't ready. Mind you, there was no check engine light or any sort of maintenance that needed to be done. It was perfectly fine.
Here I am, at 800 miles, and I'm about to go out of my mind. This place is not friendly, not helpful, and just wants your money. ALSO, it looks fucken ghetto. So yeah, I came here because of all the GOOOODD and perfect ratings. They are either friends or family, or they got bribed somehow to change the review.

So when he left I took my truck to jimmy for brakes and the charged me 250 but didn't replace my caliper or anything else and I was totally ripped off.... My friend recommended this place to me. I came here on a Monday (I think) a few weeks ago, in the early afternoon to get my car checked because it was making weird screeching noises. The guy who helped talk me through the issues of my car and how I needed to replace my brake pads and a few other parts. He explained the charges and the bill, gave me a discount too, which was extremely nice of him. The guy said my car would be fixed in an hour, so my friends came to pick me up to grab some lunch and when we got back an hour later, my car was already finished and waiting for pick up. Their timing was on the dot and I'd definitely continue the recommendations to others.

I read all the yelp reviews so I went, by myself as a young female. Truth be told I've had mechanics take advantage of me before thinking I don't know anything, and trying to overcharge me. These guys were totally fair - standard price with no games. However they did take 3 hours to do a routine transmission fluid change after they had told me it would only be an hour. They got flooded with people so I think I was put on the back burner. They told me it was because my Kia Soul was a difficult car to change the transmission fluid but I don't buy that. But can't complain if they're busy because they're just that good!

I came to "7 to 7 Smog" out of desperation and needing to sell my vehicle to make my rent. I was extremely scared that my truck wouldn't pass smog and that I would be spending $40 dollars that I didn't have just to fail.
They were both very polite and helpful and the whole time I was there the man reassured me and was positive telling me things like "I truly hope that it passes". Now it may not seem like a big deal, but in my state it stood out, especially at an automotive shop none the less. Thankfully my truck passed and I can hopefully sell this thing. They have earned a customer for life!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!! Hubby's car failed smog and they said they knew what the diagnostic code was and what needed to be fixed. We trusted them. That was our big mistake. They charged us $350 in repairs and the check engine light went on again the day after we got it back. Took it there again they said they didn't have time to look at it. Took it to another mechanic who diagnosed the problem in less than an hour and proved it had NOTHING to do with the parts they put in!! Hubby went back, talked to the owner and they offered to give us our money back, but only after they were threatened with a report to the Bureau of Automotive Repair for not diagnosing properly and not fixing the problem after promising us they did (and taking an extra 2
days for the repair)!! Also called to tell us the car was ready and then said "Oh, we actually didn't do this other part yet..." There's some shady crap going on here...maybe if you only need a smog check you're ok but DO NOT get your repairs done here!!!! Customer service is awful, too - you show up to get your car and they ignore you to buy ice cream from the ice cream man instead. Literally happened to us in front of my eyes. I have no idea where all of these great reviews came from, but nobody else should ever get screwed again like we did.

I went for a Smog Check. Wasn't expecting much. But, the guys that work there are super friendly! They did it super quick and I was on my way. Same price as they quoted over the phone. In fact I joked with the guy who was writing me up. He said and you were quoted.... I cut him off and said ya the guy said $90. He said WHAT? NO!!! Then I just joked with him and said naw he said $40.... the look on his face was disbelief... hahaha then he started laughing. So, good to know he wasn't just going to go along with his co-worker.... They are honest guys didn't try to sell me nothing to do to my car. I will always go there!!!!! THANKS GUYS!!

I have had a lot of experience in dealing with mechanics and shops. This is by far the worst experience I have had. They overpromise and underdeliver. In an effort to cut corners the work is subpar. I brought them a diamond. I got back a piece of junk. Here is the story. I bought a car from a friend of the shop. 1986 Pontiac Sunbird. Excellent condition inside and out. The car looked and drove like it was new.The car was running perfect when I bought it, but I noticed that the cooling fan had not turned on after about ten minutes of Idling. The first repair they attempted was a fan relay. I was assured that was all that was needed. My wife has a 5 minute commute. The problem did not start until the car was driven at freeway speed.The car overheated and I blew a head gasket. I took the car back to them for the repair.I was told by Jimmy that the price would be $1,200, I told him I would be ok with $1000 we agreed. There is an interesting relationship between Jimmy and Mohammad. They have a tendency to contradict each other. I called to see how the work was coming along after a few days, Mohammad told me I would probably need a head. After I called again I got Jimmy on the phone. He told me not to listen to Mohammad ," you know he doesn't speak english well" I guess Jimmy got mad at Mohammad They took a few more days than their estimated time of completion. I figured that by giving them more time they would do the right job. Oh by the way I was asked to find a new head online and get it to them as soon as possible. The head was damaged after all OOKAY... here comes the fun (not). They told me then that they were having problems with the exhaust manifold. They told me that the previous owner had welded it on. I find that hard to believe. They said that the car was ready to be picked up. The car was finally given back to me after spending 1000.00 for the labor and a few hundred for the part. The car was dirty and had trash inside with grease stains on the panels. The car sounded bad. there was an exhaust leak. They told me that that was the best they could do. I was handed a broken bolt for what I was told was the exhaust manifold. I took the car and figured we could deal with the noise. After about a week and a half my wife had to go to a hair appointment in Orange County. Car on the freeway overheats again. She limps the car in to her appointment. Stopping and starting so as to not let it overheat. She gets to her appointment one hour late. I call the shop and tell them what is going on . They send some guys over to see if it could be driven back safely. They were also going to drive her back home. They waited 20 minutes so she could finish her haircut. They brought her back home thankfully, the car reeked of marijuana (Unprofessional ?).They had the car towed the next day. I called the next day to see what they had to say. They told me that the exhaust system was causing the overheating that the pipes were turning red. Jimmy said that the exhaust leak could damage the engine and it should be replaced. I asked for an estimate he told me a price. I tried to negotiate with him a little. Jimmy lost his temper. He screamed and cursed at me,complained about how much money he is making, then he hung up the phone. I called back and he said he won't deal with me again, and to talk to Mohammad. I must note that at no time did I ever raise my voice or curse at anyone at this shop. I found and bought an exhaust manifold. I was told that the car needed a maps sensor and an oxygen sensor. I found and bought them too. I picked up the car a few days later. there was still an exhaust leak. (At This point maybe I should be angry?) On the way home the car stalled I told my wife to take it back to them. They drove it and of course it did not stall. She drove it home and it stalled some more. After about a week the car was making a clunking sound from the engine. I opened the hood. The first thing I noticed was that there was a hose that was disconnected on top of the engine. I hooked it back up . I called Mohammad and told him what was going on.He was a little upset. To his credit he came to my home to see the car. We had it towed in the next day. Mr Mohammad has been a joy to deal with I truly believe that he is honest and knowledgeable. Apparently there was a problem with a water pump bearings that were loose? Mohammad came through and fixed the exhaust leak for me and I got the car back for the last time. For some reason the heater does not work. It stalls at Idle. The WORST is that there was an oil stain on the hood of my car that was not there before. A Large Stain. won't come out not even with rubbing compound.In summary, I think that if Mohammad ran the shop, most of these problems would have not happened. If the maps sensor and oxygen sensor were fixed first maybe this would not have happened. If you need any major work done go somewhere else,

So I am in from out of town and needed to get a smog check asap. I searched yelp and found 7 to 7, based upon all of the good reviews I decided to come here. I have to say, they are by far the best! They are very friendly and make you feel right at home. They offered me fresh donuts and milk (I went around 7:15 am). They gave me a great deal, which was way cheaper than the other places I quoted. After going to 3 different places to get my brakes "fixed," yes 3, they finally were able to tell me that 1) my brakes were in good shape, 2) what the squeaking noise actually was, and 3) what they could fix (that it didn't need) to stop the sound. These are actually solid guys who want to fix your car, not rip you off and as a 23 year old female, I can tell you a lot of places just want your money. I will be back in a few months when my car actually is in need of repair.

We needed our car smog done A.S.A.P. we went here on recommendation from the Rialto shop. We pulled up across the street and they called us to pull in right away. As im getting my purse and paperwork together the gentleman walks over and opens my door for me. I was impressed, then he was nice to my husband and I the whole time laughing and joking, and explaining everything in detail. It was quick and easy and the cheapest smog around. To sum things up I was extremely impressed, and so was my husband since it can be hard to find businesses that still treat you like humans instead of dollar signs.

I have a 2006 Mercury Mariner; being an American car, it breaks down constantly. Usually I fix things as they come, but I've had a particular problem for a long time with the way my breaks worked. I had a few different places check it out but none of them fixed the right thing and the problem continued. Finally I brought my car to 7 to 7 Smog & Auto Repair to fix a sensor. Everyone was very nice and helpful, and Jimmy, the owner, was very respectful and knowledgeable. They drove it around for a bit and told me my Ti Rods were bad and that is what's been causing the break problem. They waived the diagnosis fee and gave me a great price on both the sensor and the ti rods. My car was scheduled to be fixed the next day, at a time that worked with my class schedule. During the time they were fixing it I was able to sit in the office and do my homework because there was access to internet. They fixed my car in under 2 hours and now it works perfectly. These guys were professional, caring, and really nice. I went to get my starter changed (which they didn't have available in the shop)--the guy ordered the starter pronto, someone went and picked it up, they installed it--I was out of there in an hour. I would totally go back here if I ever have additional car problems.

This was the first official time I have used Seven and seven Smog and Auto Repair. Previously I knew them through good friends who had used them before. Also one time Mohammad helped me he noticed I knew about cars so he told me what was wrong at not charge. Recently I found out it was time for a timing belt change so I knew where to go. The price was fair plus I got to deal with good people. If you have a problem DON'T STRESS about being treated fairly . They will take care of you and you will be back on the road in no time.

Just moved to Riverside from the midwest and needed to get a smog check on my car and my husbands. We were able to get in right away, even on a holiday! In and out in under a half hour. We loved the service we received! The employees were all very friendly and knowledgeable, and gave us a great price for both cars! We will definitely continue going here from now on for all car-related problems! I highly recommend 7 to 7!

Very pleased with the service. I needed a smog check and couldn't bring myself to pay 50 bucks. I did searches around the area and found a coupon in the pennysaver. Got my smog for less than 25. I showed up and was in and out in 20 minutes. I will be going back for further services. Very friendly people.

I found an ad in the Moreno Va...

I found an ad in the Moreno Valley Penny Saver for $8.75 Smog. I thought it sounded fishy and so I called. The guy on the phone said that there is an extra $8.00 certificiate charge but only if I pass. He seemed nice so I thought that I would give it a try and I am happy that I did. The waiting room is small so the guy told me about a taco shop around the corner that had air conditioning. I came back about 30 minutes later and my car was done. I could not believe that I paid $17.00 out the door! I don't know about the other services, but I do recommend this place for Smog.

After I had already taken my van there eveyone kept telling me I made a big mistake. Well they were all wrong I not only had the best service I have ever experienced but the were quick clean and very reasonable. This place is a rip off. Sent my girlfriend to get a smog done. She had no check engine lights on the vehicle until she got there. One of the guys unplugged the connector that goes to a exhaust and told her she would have to pay 330 to get it to pass smog. I told her to get home so that I could look at it with my scanner. I found the code and when i went to check the sensor it had clearly recently been disconnected. I could tell the plug had been handled, the top and bottom of the plug was clean from where they had to unplug it. Took it to another smog only station and passed everything with flying colors. BEWARE!!

Absolutely great service and a level of honestly you rarely find in auto mechanics. Friendly, Honest and absolutely awesome mechanics. Took my 1992 Suburban for brakes, shocks, alternator and a tune up. Also asked for a full inspection. They only charged me for work done, pointed out that the front pads and discs were good so only needed drum pads replaces and tightened down my steering wheel as a courtesy. I recommend this shop to everyone who is looking for an honest mechanic.
