I am so pleased to be writing this review! Today was a very good day :-). Andy and Everyday Smog Check have a very nice little place at the 76 station to have a vehicle smogged. The service area is very clean and clutter free. The waiting area is cool, breezy, has a couple nice little chairs to sit in and as I walked up the previous customer was just leaving, very pleased and with a smile on his face.
Andy was friendly, genuine and I immediately felt at ease that there would be no shenanigans...His assistant Coo-Key was delightful and in just a few minutes I was all set to go, details sent to DMV and certificate in hand.
Even if my truck had failed it still would have been a pleasure to make his acquaintance and discover a great local business! I will recommend him to anyone I know who needs a smog certificate from now on :-) Thank You So Much !

He charges 50 dollars for my old van which requires a star certified station. Another star certified station (at de anza and prospect intersection) wanted 20 dollars more because my dmv paper said star certified station required.

So the local DMV wouldn't issue my F150's registration sticker unless I got it smogged, even though it's a 1997 diesel engine and those are not suppose to require a smog test, but that's a bunch of BS for another time.
After getting the run around from a couple different auto shops I finally got in touch with Francis who offered the smog check at a much more reasonable price. It was the easiest part of the whole registration process by far. Couldn't have taken more than 15 minutes for him to complete the check and I was out of there. Just wanna say thank you for making my life just a tad bit easier. I'll probably be doing all my smog checks here from now on.

This is my go to smog place for three main reasons. 1) Francis is super nice and personable. It's nice to have someone to talk to while my car is being smogged. 2) The prices here are competitive to just about everywhere. 3) They're literally open everyday, so this is convenient for busy people such as myself who need to get a smog done on some random Sunday.

Got my smog check done here this past weekend. I called ahead and Francis let me know when was a good time to stop by.
I drove there within the hour, dropped off my car, walked to Jack in the Box across the street, came back and it was all done.
Everything was on point and I literally did not have to do a thing besides leave my car there and fill out the half page form.

I brought my truck to Quick Smog in Mountain View and was told that it failed the Evap test. The Quick Smog technician said that if I brought my truck back for a retest after getting it repaired, they would charge me $20 if it passed or $70 if it didn't. I got the sense I was being lied to so they could get more money out of me, so I looked around for another Star certified smog station. Thanks to Yelp, I found out about Campbell Everyday Smog Check. I was greeted by an employee who was helpful and professional - someone I felt I could trust. Sure enough, my truck passed, confirming that Quick Smog lied or has faulty equipment. Even if my truck didn't pass at Campbell Everyday Smog Check, I would have rated them with 5-stars just for the professionalism. They even apologized for my experience at Quick Smog!
Note to Mountain View residents, go here for smog checks. It's worth the drive.

Called ahead at around 8:15 a.m., was told I could stop by in around 15-20 minutes. Arrived 15-20 minutes later, and my smog check was done within 10-15 minutes. So easy!
Prices were reasonable and the owner was friendly. That's all you really need when you have to get a smog check for your car!
There's a bench inside the (small) shop for you to sit on while you wait.

So glad I found this spot and would highly recommend to anyone who requires a STAR certified smog test.
There were 2 people in front of me in line yesterday (Saturday morning). I was still in and out of there in less than 45 minutes.
Spot is clean and has a bench to wait on. Convenient as well, if you want a quick bite across the street or at Los Pericos on the same side (yum). Pricing is very reasonable and Francis is friendly, honest, and very professional.

Francis helped to do my car smog check here last weekend since his business is STAR-certified. It may be a bit difficult to find but it's located in the garage portion of the 76 gas station on the corner of Campbell and San Tomas Aquino. He got me in and out pretty quick since the smog tests nowadays no longer sticking something up your car's tailpipe.
Their pricing also is pretty fair too and it's right next to a gas station so you can fuel up too.
When my car's ready for another smog check, I'll probably be coming back here.

I am very happy to write this review, I just bought a very old Honda with 300k miles on it. It needed a smog check for registration and I was very nervous that I would spend more money because of how old my car is. I didn't really know where to bring my car but a good friend of mine recommended Campbell Every Day Smog. When I got there, there were a few people ahead of me so I waited in my car. Andy, the owner came up to me and asked if I needed help. I told him I needed my car smog checked and he told me to come in and sit in the waiting area where it was cooler, since that day was very hot day. Anyways, I was very nervous that it was not going to pass but to my relied, it passed with no problem. I got lucky to have bought a car that was well maintained by the previous owner. Since Andy used to be a car mechanic, he made some recommendations on what I can do in the future to prolong the life of my car.The price was reasonable and I left the shop feeling very happy and relieved that my very old car is still healthy. The guys at this place are wonderful! Usually not much of a wait and they are so quick and attentive. I took my car in 2 weeks ago and unfortunately it did not pass but they only have you pay like $40 if it doesn't pass and you can bring it back to get a re smog for $11. I took my car in to the shop to get what they told me was wrong and then 3 days later (my dealership told me to drive it for at least 3 days for the computer to reset itself before taking it back) I got the smog redone and it passed no problems. Great service will definetly be back when I need to!

This place is awesome, I mean what can go wrong with a smog check place? Other than the fact that you fail your test :).
I called into the shop to ask for a quote, Francis quoted a price that bested 10 of 100s of other places and could not resist. I live down the street so yay for close range.
I got to the business and there were about 2 others in front of me. One guy was just finishing up and a lady. The smog testing was super fast. I sat down for 10 minutes and it was already my turn!
Francis was super friendly and nice, he performed the smog like a professional and mastermind. Everything was electronically submitted to DMV and Stated, but that's always the case.
It literally took me 25 minutes from beginning, waiting for customers and end of my turn.
This place is great for smog tests, DOES NOT DO REPAIRS if you fail!

Made an appointment for 1:30pm, and parked car on the side of the gas station right next door. The owner Francis was waiting for me and remembered my name (+1)
The place is small but tidy and they respect appointments, I know this because somebody drove up right as I walked in and was asked to wait as I parked my car in their side of the lot.
Francis was really nice, professional and quick! It only took about 15-20 minutes and there are plenty of small shopping options nearby to entertain you while you wait.

I absolutely hate dealing with car maintenance, especially considering the type of people I've had to deal with in the past.
Let's just say, most have been rough around the edges. They don't really explain what they're doing or answer your questions. Sure, the strong and silent bad boy was appealing in high school but not so much when he is working on your car and you want to know what the eff is going on.
Then you have the patronizing, shady ones that try to tack on more services and make you pay for stuff you really just don't need because you're a girl and don't know about this stuff (which is true).
I went in for a smog check with my guard up and it was very refreshing to find that Francis was the complete opposite. He was very personable, honest, and knowledgeable.
Best of all it was cheap, quick and easy, just how I like my men ; )

My car failed the gas cap pressure test. I had it repaired and returned for a re-check .Passed the 2nd time but technician released the cap suddenly and gasoline fumes filled the entire bay . Thankful no spark was present. Why pressure test a cap and then release the fumes into the atmosphere ?The system has a connection to the engine to take the fumes off of the tank . I just don't understand the Bay Area Air resource's policy regarding this.

I went in on a Monday just after 4pm. Drove up and saw Francis and asked if he was available for smog and he told me he'll take care of me right away. I asked if I needed to drive in (as other shops in the past have made me do for smog) and he quickly said 'no, you can get out of your car. I'll take care of you right away and get you out of here fast". Boy, was he serious. Francis finished my smog in about ten minutes or less. Hands down. Cool guy to talk to. Nice and friendly. I went there after reading all the good reviews. The place and the mechanic (Francis) lives up to the reputation. He was friendly and work fast. I was out in less than 30 mins.
My car failed elsewhere before and I got jerked around by the mechanic over there (details in my other review, if you are interested). Francis took care of me and ensured that the fix in place was good.
This will be the go-to place for all my smog checks in the future. Highly recommended! One other thing I learned from this experience is "do your homework on yelp". It pays! Yelp rocks!!

I had my car smogged yesterday by Francis and I can recommend him based upon my experience. He was a straight shooter when I called and gave me a fair price without the need for coupons. There were no surprises or additional costs as I found to be the case with many other smog stations I had called. Francis got me in and out in less than a half hour, was very pleasant to deal with and did a complete smog check very efficiently on my 1989 Toyota truck. We worked with Francis at Everyday Smog and he was great. he gave us all the information and help we needed with a car that was failing smog and helped us to understand what needed changing so that we could get everything taken care of.
We got the changes made and we came back to re-test and everything sailed through perfectly.
He was available for questions on the phone while we were buying parts and checked codes and part numbers for us with the CA database that we were sure we were installing the right parts. I cannot say enough to explain how much of a help this all ways.
I recommend this place without reservation, which is really saying something, coming from me when it comes to auto places. Go visit them and give them your business.

I was two days past due on my smog and needed done asap. I brought in my car and Francis, the smog tech, had two cars ahead of mine and a 12pm appointment right after that. I ask if he could fit me in and somehow he got it done before his 12pm appointment. He reduced my wait time from one hour to about 35 mins.
Even though he was very busy he was able to get my car done with a great attiude and a happy personality. Thanks Frncis....you are the man.

Francis is your guy when you need that smog check. You don't have to wait forever and what a personality for a hot guy. First smog check that i wished to have it longer because of him. Lolz. I would say 15 minutes max and I was done. Called in for the appointment, and he was there waiting with a smile :) If I can do my smog check again today I would do it over and over. He's that good.

This was a breath of fresh air. I had been to FOUR other stations who had all said they were open on Sundays, and guess what? All closed. Francis did a great job and did his best to get my wife and I out quickly. Even though he said they don't match competitors' coupons, he still gave me a price that was almost as good. Considering those "competitors" have poor reviews here on Yelp, it was more than worth the difference to go to Everyday Smog. The work was done quickly and professionally. They also offer free rechecks within 30 days, something the cheap places won't do.

Agree with all the positive reviews about Francis. I called in to see if I needed an appointment and he said if a drop-in came in earlier than I did, he'd let me go first. Ended up getting in right as a drop-in beat me, and Francis, phone-in-hand was going to call me to let me know. He honored his word and let me go and 15 minutes later everything was done and I was out. Price was good too. Highly recommend Francis and getting smogged here.

I had to get a smog test for my Odyssey and Francis was there. He took my car right away on Thursday morning (4/2) around 10:15am and did the smog test. It took about 15 minutes. While waiting, he told me that my battery had corrosion and that I should get it removed so that the car starts up correctly. He was fast, professional, friendly and quick. It was $50 for the smog test and certificate.

This place is great. Ive been coming here for a few years now and every time I come here the service is great. I usually deal with the older asian guy but this time u came across francis. Francis is a good guy. I told him my car failed a week ago but ive done some changes so hopefully its passes. Well he looked over the parts I put in and said it should be good to go now. And guess what it passed!!! Francis had great customer service. Knew exactly what he was doing and the price was really fair.. fyi ive been to other smog places and even dirt cheap ones but the service was always bad.. its hard to find a business with great customer service and this one right here is it. Found out about this place through Yelp. After reading all the positive reviews about Francis, I decided to go there for a smog certification. I presumed he would be in his 50s, but he's a young guy in his late 20s may be. A very humble & friendly person. Didn't take 10 mins to complete the check & issue the certificate. Would recommend Francis for he's an honest guy, and his station is open 7 days a week.

Car maintenance is one of those things that fall way to the bottom of your to-do list. Usually I put things like getting smog checks and changing my oil until I absolutely have to because lets be real, who really wants to spend their precious time at an auto-shop on their weekends as well as deal with people who try to up sell you or others that aren't as personable as they take your moola. (Especially franchised owned chains) This Smog shop, however, managed by the smog technician Mr. Francis turned a mundane errand into a quick and pleasurable experience! He was courteous, friendly and a genuinely nice guy. The smog check was fast and I was in and out before I knew it with my smog check and paperwork handled immediately like a true professional. I arrived right when they opened but It seems like he's getting more and more busy so you may want to give him a call to make an appointment if you're on a timecrunch. No frills or strings attached -- I was able to continue enjoying my Saturday afternoon in no time! I'll continue going here just because of the added exceptional customer service. (It makes a world of a difference even for simple smog checks) Support your local business folks!

Great experience at Campbell Every Day Smog. Francis got me right in and everything was great until he showed me that my timing was off and the car would fail. But the great thing was that he said just take it to my mechanic and have the timing adjusted and bring it back in for a free re-test. I came back 2 weeks later and again, he quickly got my car back on the dynamometer and 10 - 15 minutes later it was a pass. Francis is really customer service orientated!

This place is great. I called a couple of places on a Sunday afternoon and the person at Campbell Every Day Smog was the only one that picked up the phone and was able to sort me out. He also noticed that the gas tank cap needed to be replaced. He upgraded the cap at no extra cost. Great place, will surely come back again!
