I've been going to Skyline for all my cars Honda, Toyota, Hundai, Mazda for a couple years now. Glenn and Tony and knowledgeable, honest and fair. I completely trust what they tell me my car needs. Most times I've been shocked at the price as compared to what the dealer would charge me. Also was shocked to learn all the unnecessary work that dealers recommend! I brought my Mazda to Skyline after the dealer had recommended $500 plus in maintenance work on the transmission & throttle body. I was told by Skyline that the recommended work was unnecessary, not really even good for the car and Skyline performed an alternative maintenance for about $24!!!!! When Glenn or Tony tell you that your car does need some major work, you can trust that it is true and that you'll get the best price and quality work in town! If you want to keep throwing your money away at the dealer, that's your choice, but if you want to pay reasonable maintenance costs for all your cars and have confidence in your repair shop, go see Tony & Glenn at Skyline -- Good People!!
P.S. To Scott C. -- Sorry about your civic, but I don't see what motivation Skyline would have to make something up!!

Skyline Auto is great. Tony and Glenn are smart and great at diagnosing auto problems and identifying cost-effective solutions. They have serviced my Hondas and Acura for a fraction of what the Honda dealers wanted for the same service. They rarely say no -- they almost always squeeze me in. And more than a few times, they have done repairs without even charging me. I am happy to recommend Tony and Glenn.

Shady mechanic. I was selling my car and the interested party brought my civic to them to check it out. Mechanic took it for a test drive and said it needs a Transmission solely on a normal sound. The car runs great. I just took it on a 300 mile trip. After hearing that the potential buyer then lowballs my price in half. Something was fishy there. I declined that offer. After the decline i left. I drive home and noticed a coolant leak. I saw that the small overflow hose was taken off.
The mechanic sabotaged my car because I didn't sell it for half my asking price

I don't normally write reviews, but feel compelled to after reading Scott's earlier review. My family and I were interested in buying Scott's Honda Civic and after checking it out ourselves set up an appointment to get it checked at Skyline. Tony took it for a short drive and when he came back told us the transmission was almost shot. Based on that Tony simply advised us, in Scott's hearing, that the car wasn't worth the price it was going for due to the necessary repairs. After hearing this we offered to buy the car for a price that would allow us to pay for the repairs, an offer which was refused. There was no time or reason for Tony to mess with the car as Scott suggested. Tony and the other mechanics at Skyline have always been honest and fair in all their dealings with us and we trust them to continue to give us their honest opinion about any car we may bring in.

I was referred to Glenn and Tony through the Barone's and they have been AWESOME! I have taken my car to them for the last 2 years for oil changes, and a break job. The job gets done quickly, and they always have very reasonable prices. They do quality work, and a shop I trust. :D

These guys are awesome! I wanted to have my Acura looked at after I had a couple diagnostics from the dealership. I knew I wasn't going to have any work done at the dealership, so a friend recommended this place. I stopped by and Tony was amazing, he gave my car a good once over and test drive before I made my decision about putting in the money to have the work done. They are trustworthy and honest guys, they make you feel like you are right at home.

Thanks to Yelp I found my 'to-go' place to have my Honda serviced in Thousand Oaks. Admittedly, I'd drive much farther just to have my vehicle serviced here.
Tony and Glenn are spectacular. I always feel like I'm informed about what's happening to my vehicle and why, the pricing is uber-competitive, the service is fantastic (I have been having my 2002 Honda serviced here for almost 4 years and I've never had one issue), and frankly, they're just nice people who know what they're doing.
I feel comfortable milking this car as far as it will go because I know I have a great place to go should I need anything. It makes me feel like a much more confident driver knowing my vehicle is cared for and running at it's best thanks to the way it's serviced.

Came to Skyline again after shopping around for brake pricing. These guys gave me the best estimate over 3 other places. I scheduled an appointment and asked that they do an oil change too & call me with an quote on the brakes before any work was completed.
Tony gave me a call and told me that my brakes still had plenty of life on them, and that it wasn't absolutely necessary to replace the pads or resurface the rotors.
I was very impressed & humbled that they didn't take advantage of my naivety.
Glenn and Tony are friendly, honest, and they run a well established, professional business.
My second visit to Skyline has confirmed it. I found my forever mechanic! :)

Needed brake service and dealer was charging too much. My BF called around and found this place in TO. The two mechanics, Glen and Tony are awesome! They worked on my van right away and took about a couple hours to finish with my brakes. They took the time in answering any questions. They were very informative. I trust these guys. I would definitely go back!

I rarely give 5 star reviews - but the exceptional service and work that both Tony and Glen do definitely warrants all five stars. As a young Man who doesn't know much about cars, it's hard to find a mechanic I can trust. I was first referred to this shop 10 years ago after a bad experience with another shop and have never had a problem since.
*They are excellent communicators. They always take the time to explain to me the issues and the fixes (I've learned a great deal about cars!)
* They are reasonably priced. A HUGE plus for me is that I've never felt like they are trying to overcharge me for superfluous work. Tony and Glen have worked with me in the past to prioritize fixes for my car (i.e. "this can wait if you want to budget for this").
*They do great work. They've kept my 2005 Honda S2000 running flawlessly the past few years, and I feel confident that they'll catch anything amiss with my car to keep me safe and up and running!
*Generally, just really friendly and very good people. I've received great tips there on how to care for my car and I feel that they genuinely care for their customers.
Honestly, I can't think of any cons. I just recommend that you be sure to call ahead and make an appointment before you take your car in since they are pretty popular (as you can see by all the 5 star reviews) :)

We've been coming here since 2009 and could not be happier. They've done service and repair on four different vehicles for us. We also had them evaluate two used cars before buying. Even with new cars, I will not buy without checking with them first to ask about their experiences servicing that model.
I love being able to talk directly to the mechanics, and the fact that the mechanics are the owners. Rather than replace everything, they suggest replacing certain things and watching others. When I've compared theirs to dealer recommendations, they have saved us between 20% and 70%. (And 100%, in the case of one dealer-recommended $900 repair, which they called "just silly." It's been a year, and they were right!)
Sometimes I wait for the work to be done, and talk with other customers as they drop off their vehicles. In dozens of conversations, I've never heard anything but high praise for Glenn and Tony.
I learned of Skyline from a dealership. I was concerned with some dealer repairs, and one of their employees pulled me aside and said their two best mechanics had left and opened Skyline.
Cool things they've done:
Gave a mini-tutorial on "how to baby an aging transmission." This included proper servicing (less is more!) as well as knowing the signs of both slow failure ("yes you can continue to Texas") and imminent failure.
Phoned me the torque specs for a repair I decided to try at home.
Prepped our van for winter driving. I had mentioned we were heading off on a snowboarding trip--when I picked up the van they had gone beyond the maintenance list to get us ready. (And it paid off when the trip turned out much colder than forecast.)
Guided me to the best parts when I got the idea of picking up an aftermarket AC compressor off eBay.

I have been using this garage to make all of the vehicle repairs since I moved to Thousand Oaks about 6 years ago.
They are professional, hardworking, accommodating and above all else, they are honest. Isn't that what we are usually looking for anyways?? An honest mechanic shop!?
I have two vehicles that are produced by American manufacturers and they do a splendid job on them.
If you have any type of automotive fixes...give them a call and they can help you out.

If you don't want to pay dealer prices, but still want factory trained mechanics, this is the best place I've found to take your Honda in Thousand Oaks. I have had two services from Skyline Auto Repair; a front brake job, and a second time for replacing my starter. I am very satisfied; the prices are great, the service is great, and the people are very nice and helpful. I will be back any time I need my cars serviced. Thanks Tony!!!

Honest, great work. I had my car at another shop ~ and was given an estimate of over 1500.00. I heard about Skyline from a friend and took my car there. they told me what I needed and it was far less. It's been 6 months and my car is runnung great. I bring my car in for it's regular oil changes and they are always so helpful and effecient. I wouldn't bring my car anywhere else.

I've used many mechanics in Thousand Oaks, Westlake, Agoura, the Valley and Ventura. Dealerships, local shops and chains and these guys are the best......Honest, dependable and AMAZING!!! I won't go anywhere else and I will always buy a Honda because when I need service I only want to go here. I have such peace of mind knowing they are working on our cars. Don't take a chance with anyone else.

Brad Rice is the owner of this shop. He is unprofessional, rude, harassing and gave me of the worst experiences I have ever had dealing with someone in business. I would not do business with this person in any capacity. He is also the first person who posted a review of his own business on this Google review. I had Competition Muffler do some work on my new BMW. It was rather detailed and required some work to make sure it looked right and matched. Tim did the work and is a perfectionist. He took great care to do the job right the first time with me looking over his shoulder every minute. Great guy, perfect job and very reasonable prices. What more can you ask for?

Did a great job at repairing our catalytic converter on our 97 Toyota Avalon in order to pass the CA smog test. 1/3 the cost of what the TO Toyota dealer down the street was asking to repair the emission system.
