I have been taking my car to Save Time for routine maintenance for a few years now. They have always been extremely honest and up front about any repairs that my car may need. Recently, my car needed a major repair that ended up costing more than the price originally quoted. When Gregg called me, he offered me the opportunity to make payments on the price difference since it's not what we originally agreed on. What a great option since money is tight! Great customer service!

My biggest concern about auto repair shops is if I can trust them. I've been going to Save Time for over 15 yrs because I do trust them. They have always done great quality work, been helpful in their advice and I never have had 'extra' stuff recommended that wasn't needed! Great place to help keep your car going.

If you choose to take your car here, it will probably get fixed correctly. The prices quoted are almost always what you actually get charged. If you double check that they are charging a reasonable price, you should be fine. That being said, here is my experience: For many years Save Time gave great service at a good price. They always fixed exactly what was broken and never broke anything else. Sometimes I would come in and the repair would be less drastic than expected, or they would tell me what things I could wait to repair if I couldn't afford to make all the repairs. I trusted them to do good work and stand behind the work they did, and for nearly twenty years that is exactly what happened. Then, one day I took my car in and they overcharged me $50 for the parts they were putting on my car. I had come into the waiting room quietly and heard one of the bosses in the back area ask the other about what they had quoted me and he said "fifty extra." I thought maybe I had misheard or misunderstood or something so when I left, I did some research. The receipt had the part number on it and I googled the costthey had charged me $50 extra. I called the dealership and the repair would have cost less there because the parts would have been cheaper. I called Save-Time and told them that I had discovered that they had overcharged me. Greg first tried to talk me out of thinking that I had been overcharged by saying that sometimes they use part that are "better than the dealer's parts" and when I told him that that was not the case because I googled the part number, he conceded that maybe his parts dealer had overcharged him. He offered to make it right by refunding the overcharge or giving me two free oil changes. I agreed to the oil changes and hung up. I did go get one of the oil changes when my car needed it, but I couldnt bring myself to go back for the second one. I felt sick to my stomach and angry and betrayedthe trust was completely shattered. I had been going there for almost twenty years, since I was a teenager bringing in my mom's cars, and Greg had, I thought, always dealt fairly with me and with my family. I dont know why an otherwise honest mechanic would jeopardize his reputation and his relationship with a customer who was always recommending his shop to others, but that is what happened. I have no idea how often, if ever, I had been previously overcharged. I will likely never go back and I have told my entire family that if they choose to go there that they need to be careful that they arent getting ripped off.

I thought I would SAVE time and get an oil change at this establishment. Unfortunately, they caused my truck to leak and blamed me for it. WOW amazing how I brought a truck to them with no leak and got it back with a leak...Humm this all makes no sense on top of that they charged me for the bolt that they stripped. Now I have to order a new oil pan and replace it. If you would like a company that cannot own up to their mistakes this is the place to go. If not DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE!!!!!!

I took my car into Save Time on Tuesday, Feb. 8th, for overheating. I mentioned I thought it was the fan based on the "symptoms" of the car. You called me later that morning to tell me my car had a blown head gasket and would cost anywhere between $1,200 and $2,000. As a single mom I cannot afford to lose my car or pay for that expensive of a repair. Needless to say, I was devastated and fearful of losing my sole means of transportation. After describing the behavior of my car to Tom he thought it didn't sound anything like a blown head gasket. He recommended another auto mechanic in San Bernardino. After a thorough evaluation, it was discovered that all my car needed was a new FAN CONTROL MODULE at a total cost of $250! I thought it important to let you know you might want to keep a closer eye on your mechanics.
