This place exceeded my expectations. Not only were they helpful, but extremely nice. I have finally found a place that is trustworthy, honest, and most importantly cares about me.
They quoted me for my car repair at below anywhere else. Not to mention, didn't try to add extra things. This is a must go if you are looking for honest people who know a thing or two about cars. Thanks again for the help guys!

I brought in my 2000 Jetta for a suspension issue. They diagnosed the main issue quickly and spent more time looking for other issues. We put together a fix now / fix later plan and went after the biggest problem first to help me spread out the repairs over time. I'm extremely impressed with their deep knowledge of Volkswagens and their highly organized computer system. I was also impressed that they gave me a loaner car so I wouldn't have to get a cab ride. But more importantly, these guys are pros. They are nice, and they know their stuff. Honestly I've never seen a shop like this one. I will definitely be back to fix the other issues as my budget allows. Thanks guys!

Okay so this is one of the nicest auto shops I have ever been in! If I lived in Anaheim this would be my go to shop!
First: The guys behind the counter are super friendly and well groomed. They are some of the nicest customer service reps I have encountered in any field. They listened to all my concerns and thoughts and kept me updated on the status of my vehicle regularly. On top of that they even shared some local places to hit since we were on vacation. Furthermore, their lobby area was very clean and classy, more like an office space than a mechanic shop.
Secondly: Their work was timely, priced fairly (especially considering they do it right the first time and don't try and nickel and dime you), and done exceptionally well. I came in on an emergency after driving 500+ miles on a timing belt that another shop had messed up. These guys fit me in and fixed the problem as well as go over my vehicle in detail to make sure there was no other damage before sending me on my way. Seriously, if I lived in Anaheim this would be my go to shop!

We've owned our Jaguar for a bit over 6 years, and it has been a very reliable car---this was it's first trip to the Doctor! Not an emergency, so we had time to check out some options, for example--we have Mercedes and Jaguar/Land Rover dealers next to each other and within walking distance from our home. Those guys compete with each other to provide excellent service--good benchmarks and we considered that option. Jaguar Anaheim Hills is hard to beat.
We selected Import Auto Clinic for a lot reasons, all quality related and because they easily exceed any standard Jaguar or Mercedes could hope to match. They are, hands down, the best there is.

I took my Toyota Tacoma in for routine maintenance. They found a lot more things to fix. Showed me the broken part. Found a replacement. And fixed my truck as good as new.
Loaner car was a big plus! Very friendly staff and more importantly, trustworthy. I won't take my truck anywhere else.

I work across the street from this place and was having some issues with my 2009 Tahoe. I selected this shop to take my truck in because logistically it made sense, however, I'll be coming back for other reasons; the customer service was excellent and they know what they're doing. Andy, the shop owner, was super accommodating and available to take a look right away. They diagnosed the issue within an hour and called me back. This is a good, honest shop. Awesome job on my BMW. The "clicking/ thud sound" from underneath is gone. I like the fact that when I called for an estimate, David offered me to come in and get my car lifted and checked for FREE. I only waited for about 5 minutes and then my car was taken in. Soon after that, David offered me again if I want to see the car. He showed me what's going on and with NO pressure gave me the cost to get the car done. I love the fact that shop is letting you see what's wrong with the car compared to others where you take their word with what needs to be done. Two thumbs up for that. The shop also has a clean restroom and comfortable lobby. Water, coffee, TV and wifi are available too.

My name is Joe,
I just wanted to say that the guys at Import Auto Clinic are the BEST! It is so hard today to find
honest auto repair. My son just bought a 2000 Lexus ES300 that seemed like a good buy, until
we go it home. It had white smoke coming from the exhaust and that could not be good news.
Well it turned out to be new valve covers that remedied our problem, the guys at Import Auto Clinic saved me a lot of money by making a on spot diagnosis. What a great experience. Also
My wife's 2012 Passat was having tire issues and I was able to get solid info from them over
the phone that helped me make a sound tire investment.

Definitely not the most economical place to take your vehicle.
For an under engine splash guard with labor the quoted cost was $300, same as the Infiniti dealer. Paid $50 less at a another shop (which bought the part from Infiniti) in Irvine with similar reviews.
I'm not sure why or what the 'lax culture is here with everyone calling me "bud" when talking to me or other customers. Maybe it's the military background in me that expects professionalism from people doing business with one another.
Anyhow, they seem knowledgable and experienced, just prefer other shops instead.

My family has been customers of Import Auto Clinic for more than 20 years. We have always found them to be upfront and honest. True, they have made a few mistakes, but each time they have done their absolute best to make things right.
Recently, I took a BMW to them for a pre-purchase inspection, and they waved the standard $80 computer fee! The inspection told me that the car needed around $3000-4000 worth of work. If they were dishonest, they could have kept the issues under wraps, then brought them up later when the car came back for service. Instead, they told me that this was not the car to buy.
They have earned a second-generation customer!

Attempted to get a simple oil change and tire rotation done here. Made an appointment and came into the shop with my own oil and filter (full synthetic, factory recommended weight). The mechanic minding the front desk was obviously uncomfortable that I had brought a cardboard box from Amazon when he asked what it was. I told him it was my oil and filter. He curtly replied, "we don't do that" without any further explanation. I can't imagine they would have a liability concern with using, sealed name brand oil of the correct weight and specification, so I have to assume they don't feel the profit on the labor alone is worth their time. Essentially, unless you want to help them maximize profit by charging you a substantial markup on parts, find another mechanic.

I used to live about 10 minutes away, and now I live in Long Beach, but I'm glad I made the choice to go here, because they really took care of me and my truck. I was in dire need of help and this place came through for me in spades! They were nice enough to loan me an awesome Camry, which I'm grateful for. (I would have had to hitchhike to work!..kidding..kinda) Dave is SO incredibly helpful (and hilarious) and they really took their time and were honest with me. My check engine light came on and I took my car here. It was tricky to diagnose the exact problem, but they were really quick about it. They told me what the problem was, and offered to fix it. However, they told me it might be covered under warranty, so they actually looked it up FOR me. It turns out it was. They could have easily taken advantage of my situation, since I wouldn't have known any better or looked into it myself.
They had my car for 3 days (over the weekend), and they didn't charge me a dime! They really just diagnosed it, and even though they could have charged me for labor/time, they didn't. They sent me off to the dealership since the problem was under warranty, and I got it fixed for FREE!
In addition, the waiting room is really nice, the staff is friendly, and the bathrooms are clean and tidy. Yes!

It's been a while since I've had an update, but better late than never!
Indeed they have tried contacting me, but I have since found another auto shop. In response to the owner's comment, thank you for the professionalism in your input, but I am referencing Import Auto Clinic, and I purposely use my middle name on yelp. I understand that import shops tend to run on the costly side and have no problems paying the fees. However, when I pay for comprehensive service, I expect comprehensive service.
To sum it up: My car is my baby, so I found another place that will treat my car the same as I do.

This is a business which spends time to ridicule its dissatisfied customers. I'm sure your car is in great hands.
Second Edit: Now they have changed their response, but the damage has been done. I'm a networker, and I've already informed thousands of people about how this place treats their customers.

Probably one of the nicest shops around my area. I been here for about two years now and still have not got the chance to write a review. I've had my car come in about twice for major fixes, but a regular just for oil changes since i don't have the proper tools and time to do so myself.

My parents and I have been coming to IAC for as long as we have had cars. I used to take my Jetta here all the time when I was younger, and when I bought my Lexus IS250, I started taking it to the dealer. Huge mistake! The dealer charged me double what IAC had been charging me! I am so glad I went back to them. Great location, great guys with all the knowledge you need about cars, exceptional service, and top notch mechanical skills. I always trust that Andy and co. have got my car covered. Oh, and to the other reviews that state that they charge too much, I have cut the cost from my oil changes down to a third of what Tustin Lexus was charging me.

These guys rank A+++ for customer service! I went to this shop quite by accident. On the 91 close to rush hour on my way home from a long day in the high desert, the check engine light goes on and the car starts hesitating to the point of nearly stalling. I was able to get off the fwy and literally pulled into the first shop I found. Greeted by Dave - who immediately took his hand held computer to run some diag; then by Bobby, the service manager. Folks, this guy spent more time getting 'a history' on the car than most doctors do when they're diagnosing their patients. Still not getting a clear answer - they ran it on the big computer. As it turns out, it was nothing more than a neurotic chrysler computer system gliching out - but once re-set... ran beautifully. I was there for at least an hour.... and how much, do you suppose this excellent customer service cost? I have no idea - they didn't charge me! Seriously?!?... who does that anymore? I guess in all fairness I can't really speak to their "car repair", but when trying to diagnose the problem; it was very apparent Bobby had excellent knowledge of the car itself.
I live about about 20 miles from IAC - but if I had a scheduled repair - I would most definately drive the distance to have them do it... Great place, Excellent service.

I started using these guys a few years ago, because they work on import cars and they're very close to my job (so I can drop the car off in the morning and pick it up in the evening).
These guys are the best mechanics I've encountered. Always courteous, kind, and up-front about parts & labor costs.
I use them for basic maintenance to heavy work. My wife's car goes through scheduled maintenance here, as does my out-of warranty vehicle.
I've had some heavy work done here too. After my transaxle broke on my Matrix, they offered my guaranteed repair at a reasonable price. They got the car fixed just in time for my impending road trip up to the Bay Area, and haven't had a problem with it since.
I also had an unfortunate problem with the catalytic converter going bad. They priced it for me but recommended I go to the dealer to see if I could have it fixed under a recall notice in order to try and save me money. How cool is that? After the dealer not only told me that it would't be covered and gave me a higher estimate for repair, I went back to IAC, who, although disappointed (but not surprised) by the dealer, fixed my car at the original estimate with new parts.
Their service is generally timely. You can wait for your repair (they'll give it higher priority) or just drop it off for the day and pick it up before they close.
If you're in the Anaheim Canyon area, have a foreign car, and are looking for a great mechanic, IAC should be at the top of your list. It's great service for the right price.

Moving from Virginia to California, I was worried about finding a good mechanic I could trust. Luckily, I was referred to Import Auto Clinic and I have been very impressed with service that always goes above and beyond my expectations. It is a very friendly and welcoming shop. I have had many minor and major repairs on my Honda and the prices have always been fair and the work completed when promised. IAC helped me research issues related to a recall that saved me money. Got his flyer in the mail. When we showed up it was the same man you see in the picture. That was surprising, I was honored to have an experienced professional who really knows what he is talking about work on my truck. I wasted my money going to the economy brake shop because they put on the wrong brakes. IAC found the error while changing my oil and put on the proper brakes for me the same day. The truck is running great on the new synthetic oil and the brakes do not squeak any more. Thank you IAC. I will be back with my BMW next.
