I was driving to work and noticed my oil light flashing but I had just put 5 quarts of oil a month ago so I wanted some immediate diagnosis on my engine. I know my car has been having oil leaks since a faulty oil change from a pretty popular oil changing place but I didn't know the extent of how bad it was. The same morning, I called Automedic to give Matt (one of the mechanics) a rundown of whats happening. He gave me his honest opinion and told me to bring it is so he could do a quick preemptive check on it. In twenty minutes, He looked at the engine with his flashlight and topped off my oil along with a special dye to track where the leaks were coming from. I was able to bring it home for that night and made an appointment the next day to drop it off for a thorough diagnosis. I also requested to be dropped off and picked up from work while they work on my car which was so convenient for me (the extra mile truly!). I was accompanied by Robert, the shop owner, and he was lovely to talk to. They also gave me a time frame for which they would have the diagnosis ready for me. Now here is the reason why I really recommend them! They gave me a list of what needs to be repaired and how much it would cost (a pretty pretty penny). They also looked up the value of my car per Kelly Blue Book to see if the cost was even worth fixing my car. They let me know that the cost to fix my car and the value of my car was almost the same dollar amount. Their professional recommendation was that it might be better to put my money towards a newer used car and not the repair. But of course they would still do the repair if i chose to go forward with it, they just wanted to be honest about what my options were. Did you read that? Did you hear that? THEY WERE HONEST WITH ME AND DIDN'T TAKE ADVANTAGE OF ME OR MY MONEY!!!!!! They also explored all of the options possible and didn't rush my diagnosis. To put the cherry on top they even told me if or when I find a new car to buy, they would look up the amount and severity of any recalls on that particular car to consult with me if its worth buying. They are so awesome!!! I only ended up paying for my diagnosis (around $60) but left with a DEEP RESPECT AND POSITIVE IMPRESSION of the shop and the integrity they stand by. Please go see them. They're hard working and honest. Their repairs are at a great value. They deserve to have business and I will be a loyal customer whenever my car needs a look at.

Part 1 of 2:
I really didn't want to write out a negative review for this shop, but after finding out the truth about my experience, I find it wrong not to let others know.
I've brought several of my vehicles to this shop in the past and trusted that I was doing business with a shop built on integrity. There is even a framed Daily Republic review on their wall that talks about their honesty. And like another reviewer stated, the owner represents his business as a Christian one. I'm not judging him, but I only make that statement because it was one of the factors as to why I started taking my vehicles here. Being a single mother of five children, it's incredibly important that I am not being taken advantage of and I trusted this place not to.
Because of the fact that I trusted this place, I have given high recommendations of this shop to friends and family. One person that I recommended this place to was my daughter. She finally had enough money to purchase a car from her friend and didn't realize all of the work that needed to be done to it because it was poorly maintained.
We took it in and was told that it would be looked at no later than the next morning. Because of my past history of having some of my vehicles held captive for weeks in this shop, I encouraged my daughter to check in with them often.
After being in the shop for a few days, we received a call about the estimate. After simply asking about what was the cause of one of the issues, the phone was handed to their mechanic who condescendingly spoke to my daughter and I about how his diagnosis was correct and if we had a problem about it, we can come into the shop so that he could show us and we could choose to go somewhere else if we wanted to. He proceeded to talk to us about the poor upkeep of the car without knowing the situation and it felt as though he was blaming us. I just let that go and gave them permission to move forward because I trusted that the quote was a fair one. Which is my bad because I was told by a friend that I was overcharged and I should have called around first.
We came back yesterday to pick up the vehicle. My daughter paid $800 for replacing the rear brake shoes and getting the 150,000 mile service done. I'm not sure if that's the going rate but it does seem pricey.
The mechanics, Victor and Matt, then stated that they could not find the keys to my daughter's car because the owner moved the car to the back. Matt told me that he would call the owner, Robert, and then he came back to tell me that Robert locked the keys inside of his toolbox and was out getting parts. He said that he would be back in an hour. My daughter had to wait because her shop's keys were also on the key ring with her car keys and she was unable to go to work. After telling Matt, he went to the garage and I heard laughter. I can now assume that it was at our expense that they were laughing.
During our wait, Matt kept coming to the front office and made comments that he was confused as to why the owner would lock the keys in the toolbox. We patiently waited for an hour and then we decided to leave to get something to eat and then come back.
When we were about to make a turn onto the main road, the owner of the shop sped around the corner (illegally, I might add) with my daughter's car! We turned around and caught him as he was walking to the shop. When he saw that it was us, he apologized that he just woke up. Then he told us that he didn't have a way to get home the night before so he drove my daughter's car.
Just realizing that we were being lied to, I took the keys and played it off so that my daughter wouldn't be embarrassed. And to be honest, I didn't want to act out of character in front of her. That took place in the front office and Matt went to the garage as I walked in. Once again I heard laughter.
Later on in the day, my daughter told me that her front windshield was chipped in several places. I had planned to call the owner about the situation but decided to come into the shop the next day to confront him face to face.
So I came in this morning and waited for a long time before anyone noticed that I was in the front office. As I was waiting, another gentleman walked in and out a few times. Victor finally came from the garage and saw me sitting there. He looked extremely uncomfortable as he approached me and asked if I needed help. I told him that I was there to talk to Robert about what happened the day before. He proceeded to apologize and took full responsibility for lying to me about the keys being locked in the tool box. As he spoke, Matt came in and walked by without saying a word to me.
He told me, "I just work here. Your car was not here and we thought that the owner was coming in soon. But we didn't plan on you waiting. We thought that you would leave."
Seriously!
Did he really think that it was okay if I left and never found out what was really going on?

First off I would like to say that this shop has been the worst out of many I have had work on my vehicles. I took my vehicle in for a $900 water pump repair and not only did they take a very long time to finish the job... a little over a year later im having a coolant leak all over again. I called to ask about warranty and was told that it only covered the part which sucks because the part costs less than 50 bucks. My car had about a hundred and twenty-five Thousand Miles when I took it in for a water pump replacement and the new one should have lasted at least another hundred thousand miles. Not only did they not warranty their work the other shop I took it to told me they did a really bad job replacing the water-pump and that's why we had to do it all over again. I've never given anybody a bad review like this but this shop deserves it. I don't want this to happen to anybody else so I suggest anybody looking to get repairs done from this shop turn away because they will not warranty their work.

I came here to get a diagnosis of the ticking noise my breaks were making. Within a few minutes they figured it out. This same noise elluded Firestone when I went back to them for a diagnosis after my breaks were replaced. Firestone couldn't replicate the noise and couldn't figure it out. Plain and simple, it is a piece of hardware on both breaks, a spring, that hadn't been replaced when my knew breaks were installed by Firestone. I like them, but that's a pretty significant miss on their part. (I'm not knocking them though.)
You can trust Automed! Quality technicians. Professional service. Fun to work with. I'll certainly be a repeat customers from now on. Great job guys!

My beautiful BMW X5 refused to start and left me stranded the day before New Years Eve. I happen to live 120 miles away from this shop. Matt was referred to me by another place that was too busy to help. It could not have worked out better! Matt kept his shop open to receive the tow and park my car inside overnight. Other shops were closing early for the long holiday. He promised to look at it the next day (New Years Eve). By 11:00 the next morning he had diagnosed the problem and prepared two estimates. I was happily surprised. By 3pm the vehicle was ready for pickup. I am not easy to impress, but this time I am wowed. Matt and the team at Automedic went the extra mile to get an out of town customer back on the road. The price was fair and I give them the highest recommendation. They earned it. Happy New Year!

Auto medic is awesome! They always are happy to help and will answer any questions you have. I went in with my Infiniti i35 which had a compilation of problems and they were willing to explain to me every procedure they were doing and even showed me certain parts of my car to show me what's working, what isn't, what they will do, etc. Patrick is a great person and takes pride in his work. Automedic is my go to car shop and I trust them completely!

I have nothing but great things to say about these guys. We take both our truck and station wagon to them for any issues, both minor and major, and they fix us up every time. I absolutely trust them 100% and appreciate their excellent customer service. If you are looking for a trustworthy mechanic at a great value, I definitely recommend this shop. The owner Robert is very hands-on, their mechanics Matt and Nelly are top notch, and they're overall just an awesome group. Thanks for everything guys!

The guys at Automedic saved me! My car BLEW UP (overheated) and I was stranded in the middle of nowhere around 6pm at night. All other repair shops and car rental places were closed, but I called Automedic and they were willing to meet me where my car broke down off the highway. Thankfully my car insurance was able to tow my car to them instead.
They looked at my car the next day and quickly gave me several options for repairing my poor car. The repair was done quickly and my car is running better than before I took it to their shop. Everything under the hood was detailed and shiny just like a brand new car. I am very happy with the repair work done at Automedic. The staff was very friendly, patient, and incredibly helpful during the entire process. Ask for Greg or Percy - they are the best!

Incredible service! Very friendly and flexible. I scheduled my appointment thinking it would take them a few days for all the repairs needed. I was surprised when they told me they would have it ready for me by the end of the day. I was even more pleansantly surprised when I walked in to pick up my car I could see it in the garage and it was very clean. I commented to my husband, "Did they wax it? It looks really clean!" He told me that they not only did they fix my car, but also detailed the engine area for me and gave it an oil change (my oil had just been done 6 months prior and wasn't due for another few months, but I had oil leaks of which was part of the repairs). Overall we were very impressed. Thanks!

I had a problem with a stuck bolt on my battery terminal and was dreading taking it to a mechanic expecting overpriced labor and hassle. Automedic has changed the way I view Auto Shops. They quoted me at $50-$100 over the phone which I thought immediately was reasonable and in my price range. When I got there the technicians were very friendly and started working on it right away. I was out the door in 30 minutes and was only charged $35 dollars. Fair, Honest, Fast and friendly. I would defiantly recommend this to friends and family and Im a picky person! Thanks again Automedic!!

The owner contacted me to explain the circumstances that led to my bad experience and subsequent bad review. He offered me a gift card for a free oil change and apologized for the experience that i had that day. I have since purchased a new car that comes with a full warranty so I don't need an oil change any time soon, but I definitely appreciate the fact that he took the time to contact me to smooth things over. I stand by the fact that things were handled quite poorly that day from a customer service standpoint, but if I still had the Jetta I would have used the gift card to give them a chance to prove me wrong. Thank you to the owner for contacting me to set things right. Best of luck to you and your crew.

I had the most terrible experience/service done on my car at automedic, took my car in to get my timing chain fixed and they basically broke my car instead of fixing it. I was told it was an eight hour job but it turned into a week then a month. Then it came to the point I had to take my car else where to get it fixed! I will never ever take any of my vehicles there ever again!!!!!!!

To those who are local, please come to Automedic! They have done such a great job with my car, that even when one of my new serpentine belts were loose (since new belts do get loose after installed, because they tend to stretch), I was able to come back and get them adjusted with no charge. So all in all, they've gotten my business & I'll WILL have my car done at Automedic from here on out...oh yes, they were so nice and respectful, such good energy from them, thank you so much! <3

Wow. Not sure even where to begin. These guys blew me away! I was driving my beloved 2000 Toyota 4Runner from Sacramento back to my home in Oakland when all of the sudden on the I-80 I lost all power, (this was on a Sunday afternoon). I figured I should just pull over and take the punch for a huge charge and have my truck towed back to Oakland. Thinking quickly, I asked Siri for a "recommended Toyota mechanic - near me". She pulled up Automedic - within 5 miles, and I read through the Yelp reviews. Loved what Yelpers had to say and figured I could limp over to the shop, leave a note and the key and cross my fingers. When I got to the lot, I was pleased to see a similar vehicle in the lot waiting for service, I was good to go. Just as I was placing my key and a note in the mail slot I heard a tap on the window. It was Robert! He was there working on a Sunday! I told him the situation, let him know I expected nothing right away, just to know that my vehicle was safe and that he could, in fact, check it out. I heard back from Robert (actually Matt would be in charge of servicing my "baby") on that Tuesday. They gave me a quick (and ultimately very accurate) diagnosis of my problem. Seems I needed a new catalytic converter. Long story short. They got right to it, quoted me an exceptionally fair price and quickly took care of the repair. I have been lucky enough not to need much in the sense of car repair, but wow, I really felt I got great value here. I have several friends with 4Runners, and while this is not the advertised specialty of Automedic, I can say that I will be seeking them out for all future repair and maintenance. Great experience. I will be recommending these guys to all of my friends. Thanks Robert and Matt, - A very satisfied customer.

First and foremost, Id like to thank Robert and Matt for the GREAT service. I took my Buick Lucerne to Automedics for repair, because it was leaking an excessive amount of coolant. In addition, the car was overheating. Matt fixed the seal/ gasket and O ring, which was causing the leak. I drove the car for about 100 miles and it started leaking again in a different area. Robert had me bring the car back in immediately. Matt tested the car and my water pump had started leaking. Approximately, 12/2014, Automedics had replaced my water pump, thermostat and coolant elbows. My part was under warranty and Matt ordered it immediately. More importantly, he replaced the water pump immediately. NO CHARGE!! After having a major repair, I was extremely grateful. Well, the next day, my coolant was disappearing, but there wasnt any fluid on my garage floor. I called Automedics and was told to bring the car back. Matt explained that if I was continuing to lose fluid, then that would mean I had blown a head gasket. OMG!!! Nooooo! Matt was patient and pressure tested the car. The pressure was fine. It has been a day and a half and the coolant is holding steady. I love my Buick, but it is a little leaky. I am going to take it on a long drive today and hopefully the coolant remains steady. I am totally not interested in a head gasket repair. I would like to thank Robert and Matt for the excellent customer service, their honesty and integrity. It is really hard to find a dependable, honest mechanic. If you want a mechanic, who you can trust and that cares about the customers, then Automedics is the place!
