Ken went out of his way to be helpful. I mentioned that the temperature light had gone on and Ken spent a lot of extra time making sure that everything was ok. I was just in for an oil change, but he was determined to make sure that there was nothing else wrong. He even took it for a test drive to make sure the light did not come back on. I plan to keep coming back. He moved to a new location at the end of my street and I am delighted that I have a great new resourse this close to home!

I Tooke my BMW for brakes repair to Concord auto service, MR. ken the owner was not there, his helper said that he will come back soon. I waited 30 minutes and the owner never show up. I returned the next day because I want to use a coupon that was given to me. Finally they worked in my car, when I pick up my car the steering wheel was so dirty, my drivers side floor mat was had dark colored marks, and the charges were off by $80 from original estimate. There was a noise when braking from the wheels that scare me when I drove my car the next mooring. so I Tooke my car to the BMW dealer, and they found out that concord auto service has installed after market brakes, and very inferior quality. the dealer replaced my brakes with less money that I pay to MR. ken. I do not recommend this shop.

Ken has serviced my cars over the years and has always done a great job. I told him I was due for my 90,000 mile checkup. But since he said he just did an oil change in the last couple of months, he didn't think I needed the checkup yet. I told him I was going on a long trip soon and asked if he could just check out my car to make sure everthing's ok. I brought it in and he checked it over. My car was making a squeaking noise when I would break and drive around. So you know what that means. Break pads and maybe rotors need replacing. Found Concord Auto Service on Yelp and called to make an appointment. Spoke to Ken and made an appointment for a Friday morning. Ended up that I had to reschedule for the following Monday. Ken was very accommodating to the schedule change. Brought it in and turns out it was just the rear brake pads and rotors. He even showed me what needed to be done and told me that my front pads are good for another 20,000 miles. He was even able to pick me up from my house when the car was ready. Would I go back to him for other repairs? Yes! Would I recommend him? Yes! Thanks Ken for being an honest mechanic and not ripping me off!

Absolutely a wonderful business!!! I brought my Highlander in for a 100,000 mile service on the recommendation of a good friend who has had Ken work on their Highlander.
The service I received was extremely professional, prompt, and friendly. Ken explained all of the things he was going to check for, said he'd call over to Toyota to double check what they recommend for 100,000 miles and then called me later in the day with recommendations.
The price was way better than the dealership and you can't beat quality service these days. I will not be taking my car anywhere else other than Concord Auto Service from now on!!

I had my coil-over suspension system installed here. When I arrived to chat with Ken to get things started we had a look over at everything to make sure we knew what the job would be. Ken asked me various questions about how I wanted these installed. On hearing my answers he came up with a clear picture of what he thought I actually wanted and we discussed a bit. I put full trust in him to get things right and he hit the nail right on the head.
Additionally, they give rides to and from bart and Ken noticed a noise coming from the front left of my car. He called me and let me know that he took a look and couldn't find the cause of this noise and that I could take a gamble and replace two parts to see if that helps. How many people would tell you that they don't know what the problem is for sure?
Ken and his team are a genuine bunch of people. During our various exchanges while he was trying to understand the settings I wanted he said, "I just want you to be happy". That really made it clear to me that he cares about his work and making sure his customers are happy. I highly recommend these guys, I'll be coming here for other work I need done on my car.

Got my oil changed here. Right when i arrived he immediately started working on it. Made sure tire pressure was good and quickly scanned everything under the hood just to make sure everything was in order.

Ken is easily one of the most trustworthy guys in the industry.
You can count on him to be fair, honest and tell you how it is. My 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse GTS has sat collecting dust for the past year. My clutch was fried, I knew Iit had some considerable damage from all those years and miles. She was long overdue for some major TLC.
Man, did he treat her like it was his baby. He did her right. She hasn't been better. My car purrs, still has great pick up for a car with well over 220k miles. The suspension and steering is tighter and really handles well. As always I am impressed with the work they have done with my car, especially for a project such as this!!
I had worked with Ken on a couple of other occasions and I have always been impressed with his demeanor and forthright discussion. He also has a fine staff working with him, always helpful and friendly! I trust him 100% with my cars!!

It's been a while since I wrote a review for anyone, but this had to be done!
With the new car, (well.... new/used) there's really no one else i absolutely trust to touch this car but Ken! Especially for big things like tune-ups including the more recent thing my clutch. It FINALLY went out. I tried to baby it for as long as I could, but it just didn't want to work for me anymore. I've gone to Ken plenty of times before for my oil changes so when my clutch went out, he was the only one I thought of bringing my car to.
Ken is VERY knowledgeable, honest and his prices are better than anyone else's to boot! So, if that doesn't entice you to go to his shop and use his services for you auto's needs then I don't know what to tell you.
If you want GREAT work and an HONEST opinion from someone about your vehicle, give Ken a call! I guarantee you will not be disappointed!!! :D

Wow! I just had my car treated to the best spa day every and its working so well for me know. I love it thanks to Ken and his caring experts at Concord Auto Service.
Ken was exceptional, and he took me home from the shop to drop off , and picked me up from Bart to go back . I only had to have my partner take me to bart once the whole time my car was in the shop. How convenient is that. Talk about putting the customer first. Ken is top notch! he really deserves 5 stars with a Triple AAA on the end. Thank you Ken. Happy New Year . Service 12/28/12. This was not an easy location to find. The parking lot is small and shared with another shop. We were charged a diagnosis fee even with a referral. It's hard finding a mechanic/auto shop that you can depend on but I guess they are not in the market of earning your business. I ended up going elsewhere and so glad I did because I saved a ton of money, with a shop in WC.

It's so hard to find an honest mechanic. When my clutch went out I took it to a place closer to my home. They quoted me over $1000 more than what people on google had said it'd be. When I balked, I was told, "oh it's negotiable". But, they were so out of the ball park, I left in disgust.
I then took my car in to Ken at Concord Auto, and he was initially hesitant, since I have a hybrid. But, after doing some research, he said no problem. He was upfront about the costs, and once he received all the parts, he had it fixed immediately. And, it was still $1000 less than the first quote I had gotten. Ken and his mechanics are great at what they do. They're honest and reliable, which is so rare these days. Now that I've found him, I won't go anywhere else.

I brought in my Dodge Stratus after the ABS light had been on for a couple weeks. Ken had it up on the rack and diagnosed in an hour or two. Apparently, when I drove with chains on the tires up in Mammoth the chains had torn the wire to the ABS sensor. Oof.
On top of that, the brake pads on the front tires were worn down to an eighth of an inch, and the brake pads in the back were completely gone, so it was just metal on metal. OOF!
Ken was frank with me, not just offering the best brake pads, but also the cheaper ones. He was clear that they weren't as good, and wouldn't last as long, but he understood that times weren't so easy. I was ready to go for the cheaper ones, but my dad rolled in like a knight in shining armor and bailed me out.
Even though he had to specially order the ABS cable, I was still able to drive my car out of there the next day. Next time I go to Mammoth, I'm renting a car!

My husband normally fixes my car, but he won't touch ac issues with a ten foot pole. I know that ac can cost an arm and a leg to fix so I was not excited about having to find a professional mechanic to make my car cool again - but Yelp came to the rescue!
I chose Concord Auto Service based on the amazing reviews, its proximity to my home & job, and the fact that Ken gave me the best quote for a diagnostic out of 7 mechanics (everyone else was about $50 more).
I found every positive thing that other people mentioned here to be true. Ken was extremely professional, communicative, and easy to deal with. He really does give A+++ service at a reasonable price.

5 stars, I take all my vehicles to Ken at Concord Auto Service. In fact, last week my water pump went out in my Buick. At first i thought it was the radiator but i found out it was the water pump, pow the next day i was back on the road driving with a new water pump in place. Ken and his staff at Concord Auto Service are great.
I just wish they had more than 2 racks, since you have got to get in where you fit it..... first come first served.
Ken is upfront about cost of parts and services. Ken recommends items needing attention, now, and what to expect over time. This allows us to better budget our auto care needs.
Ken will take the time necessary to provide real information to work with, and even take a call if you are in a pinch during non office hours (results may vary).
I feel confident in every dollar I have spent with Ken, and Concord Auto Service.

I've been going to Ken for my car and my husband's cars' needs for several months now and I just have to say that he's the only one I trust when it comes to car repairs or regular maintenance. He tells you exactly what you need to get done and doesn't overcharge you for them. He also offers to pick up your car if you don't have anyone to drive with you and your service will take a long time.
It's difficult to find trusted mechanics these days but you can be sure that Ken will do a great job for you no matter how big or small it is!

Ken is a true gem in the world of auto repair. I was looking to purchase a used car in Pleasant Hill and wanted to have the the car checked out before I pulled the trigger. I found Concord Auto Service through YELP and they certainly lived up to their 5 star rating.
Ken was helpful, kind, trustworthy and honest. The price was fantastic and Ken fit us right in. He gave us an honest detailed report about the condition of the car. Thank goodness we took the car to Ken before purchasing it! He found and noticed many things that we did not, which would have caused lots of stress and money to fix down the road.
The only bad part about Ken and Concord Auto Service team is that he doesn't have a shop in San Francisco, close to my house!

Ken and Concord Auto Service is a wonderful shop I am glad I am acquainted. Not only does Ken provide quality service at an incredibly reasonable price, but he goes above and beyond. I had received a quote for brakes for my 2006 Mini from an alternate shop, and they were just going to put cheap pads on my car. When I called Ken, I knew that he would give me an honest evaluation. Not only did Ken give me an honest evaluation, but he got me BMW parts for a price at a fraction of the cost, was able to get my car in relatively quickly, and had my car finished before the promise time. We were so glad to find this place. They got us in on a Friday, with a phone call only the night before. We were have some brake issues with our car and needed an oil change and some other minor repairs, too. Thankfully there was a special deal for a free oil change with a brake repair (good timing, right?) and things ended up being reasonably priced for a day's worth of work on the car.
Additionally, they found another problem that needed to be fixed, but didn't push the repair on us. Their service was quality, inexpensive, and most importantly: not stressful!
The cherry on top: they drove me back home so I could go about my day in the meantime, instead of waiting at the auto repair place all day, or walking somewhere.

I've known Ken for quite some time, If there's ever any problems with my vehicles, I will definitely call Ken first. I took in my Acura not knowing what was wrong with it, he drove it for 20 seconds and knew what the problem was instantly. Ordered the part, changed my wheel bearing, and the it was smooth sailing after that. If you have any problems with your vehicle, I would strongly recommend that you bring it in to Concord Auto Service and have Ken check it out. Keep it up bro.

Just like the stars read, "As good as it gets!" The service that Ken and his crew provide is as good as it gets here in the local area. I take both my cars here every time I need... ANYTHING. I bring in my cars for regular oil changes and scheduled maintenance. I also bring in my car for other major repairs and problems. I even call Ken some times to ask him for advice. For example, I needed a new sun roof glass, he was honest with me and told me that he didn't do glass work and that he sublets that out. I can just imagine other shops, just to get your business and take you for your money, they would tell you they could do it and not do a good job. Ken was direct and told me that he didn't do glass work. He recommended me to a business associate of his that specialized in glass work. They got me all taken care of.
Ken is very professional, knowledgeable and helpful. TOP NOTCH!

I had a 90,000 mile maintenance done on my Durango and was completely satisfied with Ken and Concord Auto. I had the vehicle analyzed by another repair shop prior to brining it to Ken and his prices and approach to the job were much more sensible. He even suggested that I look at the parts that were removed during the maintenance to make sure that I had full disclosure on what was done. I will definitely be taking my cars to him in the future.

My husband found this place on Yelp and we have been recommending it to everyone we know. Just last week we sent my mother's caregiver over there. She had a radiator leak. but asked if she also needed any hoses replaced. She was told not at this time. They do great work for reasonable prices. The owner Ken is very friendly and honest, a quality not always found in the automotive industry with employees on commission. He will tell you straight out if you don't need to have something worked on. My brother was told by his dealership that his car needed $3,000 of repair. Ken did the necessary work for a fifth of the price. That was over a year ago and the car is doing just fine. I also appreciate how he deals with women. He explains things calmly and clearly and doesn't try any intimidating tactics. When I called the other day to make an appointment, I explained to him that my husband highly recommended his shop so I wanted to take my mother's car there too. He couldn't find my name in his system so he asked if my husband had a different last name. Ken explained he wanted to be sure I was indeed calling the place we wanted!

I was on my way to work one morning and my car started "overheating" AKA in the red. I pulled over and did a quick search for a mechanic near where I was since the car seemed to be acting normally other than the temp gauge. I got to CAS before they opened and waited. Ken showed up and was GREAT! He spent a lot of time trying to determine the cause of the issue. I thought I still had a warranty on my car, so he recommended that I go to the dealership as the testing he had done had shown no temp issues. He didn't even take money for his time. I was seriously impressed as most places will take money just to look....ahem...dealerships! It ended up being the entire dash system, but I cannot thank Ken enough for checking it out and being so honest! I recommend him to anyone remotely close to his place of business!! I will definitely be back!!

I've always been a do it yourselfer when it comes to my cars but after quite sometime I just could not fix the latest problem. I took my jeep to Ken, he found the problem within an hour and fixed it entirely within my deadline. It was a big project and he had to order parts but it was still done in a day. Ken does it right the first time. He's honest and does great work. My jeep is 10,000% better now thanks to him, it's no longer a rolling death trap. Thanks Ken! Car troubles? Call Ken first!

I discovered Concord Auto several years ago, and have been going back since. Ken and his talented assistant do it all. A few years ago they put a replacement engine in my Integra. Ken is a genuine nice guy. I consider him a friend and recommend him whenever anyone is looking for an auto service or repair shop. A little while ago I was talking with my neighbor and it turned out he also takes his cars there. We do not live near by but it is worth the drive to get it done right the first time.

So, this first time I went here, I went with my mom. She needed some major work done to her truck in order for her to pass smog and get the registration tags for the next year. Anyhoot, I went with because I used to work on bikes (motorcycles, not much difference from cars) and wanted to make sure this guy wouldn't try to pull the wool over her eyes. Granted Ken was highly recommended by other family members and friends. I was new and so was my mom. Ken was totally professional and told my mom exactly what was wrong and if my mom needed further detail on something she didn't quite understand, he would go that extra mile. Ken was totally understanding to the "current times" and how money can be tight so when my mom said she could only get a certain amount of work done for now, he understood and didn't try to push my mom in to getting anything she didn't need right this second. Ken has also worked on my sisters car. She liked how he was honest about his work. My mom liked how he was very helpful. I would definitely recommend all my other friends, local family and yelpers to go visit Ken @ Concord Auto Service in Concord. The best service guaranteed!!!

Concord Auto Service is the place to go if you want great honest service at a reasonable price. I've taken my cars to Ken for a number of years and he has always been able to fix them and sometimes even tell me they are not worth fixing.There are not many places that will actually try and save you money instead of taking it.
