Aaron runs a reputable business, which is rare today. If he were closer, I'm confident I'd take all of my vehicles there. In any case, you should rest assured you'll get quality work at a more than fair price. And for smog, he's super quick.

Aaron is a great mechanic. He's honest and he's fair. He doesn't sell you anything you don't need. He tells you what needs to be done now and what can wait in case you're on a tight budget like me. He is a good guy and he works so hard for his customers. He's also super reliable. He does what he says he's going to do and he does it as efficiently as possible. I can't recommend him highly enough. Bring your car(s) here and you will not be disappointed.

Went to see Aaron off YELP Reviews for a SMOG test and he was very fast and efficient. His price was more than fair and I appreciated his honesty about not expecting people to find coupons, that he treated all his customers the same - FAIR. I was in an out in 15 minutes, and will definitely recommend him to friends!

What is there to say?! It is one of the fastest and best priced place to take your car for a smog.
I have not used them for car repair but had them do a smog, and I was surprised at not only how quickly it was done but their price was so up my alley! I paid over $100 for a BMW at a place in WC and paid under $40 at Aaron's Auto, one can't beat that- not only the price but great service!

We will never go anywhere else! I can't say enough about Aaron's Auto. Aaron identified a problem with our vehicle very quickly, after we had already taken it to the dealer TWICE to find out what a mysterious noise and burning smell was. Not only did Aaron figure out what was wrong right away, but he fixed it in no time, and we haven't had a problem with it again. We go to Aarons auto for anything related to our Honda or our Toyota, and we are always treated with kindness, honesty, fairness, and most importantly, Aaron's fixes whatever needs fixing in a timely manner. Highly recommend!

Aaron is the real deal! I brought my Nissan Maxima in for an oil leak and transmission service and was extremely pleased with how well the job was done.
Aaron is honest, hard working and knows what he is doing. He explained the issue with the car and how it would be fixed in a way anyone can understand. He also showed me the failed part as well as the new one he was going to install. He didnt try to sell me on work that didnt need to be done but did advise me of other issues with my car that MIGHT need to be addressed soon. No pressure to do it RIGHT NOW or try to scare me into thinking I needed to fork over more money to get things fixed that werent really a problem yet.
His labor rates are very good and he does the job quickly and right the first time. I will always take my car to Aaron even though he is about a 25 min drive from where I live. Its hard to find a honest mechanic with real integrity anymore but Aaron is just that.

Aaron has definitely been my go to guy. The door on my 1998 Tacoma would not latch. He got that fixed without too much of a hitch. The back hatch on our 2000 Sienna snapped and we couldn't get it open. He actually got it fixed the same day and for a very reasonable amount. He also helped with one of our work trucks, getting the windshield washer to work. He is now "my auto repair guy".

Best service I've had, Roy (guy in the front desk) was kind and funny. Aaron told me it would only take 25 min for my car to be ready, fastest oil change I've had so far. Price is cheap and best of all no pressure on selling you things. They told me all the bad parts on my vehicle, asked me if I needed or wanted anything else and got me on my way. Very satisfied with the service. For sure going to Aaron's for an oil change again.

I went in based on yelp reviews. I needed an honest mechanic to look at my brakes since Midas had told me I needed replacements and I wasn't sure I was ready for an auto expenditure that high. I brought it in to Aaron's for a second opinion and he looked at it and told me I was good for a while but a tire had a nail and he removed and patched it up but I was definitely going to need new tires, which I already knew. So Thank you Aaron for being an honest mechanic. When my brakes are ready for replacement, I'm definitely bringing to him.

A good mechanic is hard to find and Aaron is one of the best in my book. He is a friendly and knowledgeable Master Mechanic with integrity. He treats his customers the way he'd want to be treated: fair and honest. We live in Napa and take our cars to Aaron in Concord to be serviced.
We have had a couple of our cars serviced by him and always in a timely manner. He replaced the transmission in my Honda Odyssey (the Mothership), recommended things to look out for as it gets older and helped get our daughter's commuter car ready for college.
We have recommended Aaron to our friends and anyone who asks for a dependable mechanic. You are getting more than you pay for when you go to Aaron's Auto: quality service and the assurance that the job is being done right.

I just found my new mechanic !!!!!
After a less than stellar experience with a shop down the street, I had my vehicle towed to Aaron's auto on a late afternoon. I was warmly greeted and I explained my issues about the vehicle. The next morning, I was given an explanation about needed repairs and given an estimate. By the end of the day, the service was completed and I was fully explained what services/repairs were performed on the vehicle and what I needed to look for in the future due to the high mileage of the vehicle.
I could not be more pleased with the service, communication, and cost of the repair. I will definitely be back and I wish I knew about Aaron's Auto many years ago.

A good mechanic is hard to find....
A tale of 2 mechanics.
I had an issue with my Honda Pilot where it made a weird noise and started smoking from under the hood. Not good right?
So naturally I take it to Honda where I am greeted my a friendly staffer holding an ipad. He puts all my info into the ipad and says go inside and enjoy some coffee and a donut. sweet! they could not find the problem and I went home bewildered.
9 months later it happens again this time about a week out from our drive to Disneyland. this time I take it to Aaron's Auto.
He takes my car and I go home and I wait and then he calls me says he got the problem to happen again and has diagnosed and ordered the part and just needs my OK to handle the job. he fixes the problem and I'm thrilled to have a safe car to drive my family to Disneyland in.
Oh and he has pretty decent coffee at his shop too!

I needed to repair my RX-7. Since it's a rotary engine, not many mechanics are willing to look at it. I was blessed to have met Aaron.
He gave an honest diagnostic of the problems with the car and explained them so that a non mechanic could understand. The prices for repair were most reasonable and if you're on a tight budget, he'll recommend a priority list for fixing the more important issues first.
Great location off the freeway with prompt and courteous service, wonderful experience!

Aaron is very good and honest! We took our Nissan to him for a transmission problem and he could have charged us over $1000 for the work. Instead he told us that the repairs would be covered by Nissan under an extended warranty if we took it to the dealer. It was amazing. I've had him do other work for us and he is timely and capable.

Too bad there aren't 10 stars.
There are two services these days where it is nearly impossible to find capable, honest, reliable craftsmen/women, because most of the time you can't be sure you're not being lied to and taken for as much money as they can get their hands on: veterinarians and auto mechanics. When I left San Francisco and moved to Concord I began looking for a vet and an auto mechanic I could trust. Right! I found the vet after 4 years. The mechanic came sooner.
Luckily my next door neighbor introduced me to her mechanic, Aaron Larkin. I felt like I had been touched by an angel. About 4 times when I had him look at my car he told me to stop worrying because it wasn't as bad as we thought., He was able to make an adjustment and no new part was needed. Sometimes he wouldn't charge me because it was such an easy fix. Who is this man? I had never chased an auto mechanic down the street trying to get him to take my money.
When he finally opened his own shop I was first in line. Twice in just the past 4 months Aaron has found a way to fix the car without spending a fortune. The first time he saved me over $1,000 by finding a used part. The second time there were 4 things in a series in the engine that possibly needed to be replaced. He said he thought there was a chance that he could replace the first item and it might fix the whole thing, but it was only about a 25% chance. And if he had to replace everything it was going to be over $1500 just for parts. Guess what? His educated guess worked and it only cost me $167. He could have lied and I never would have known.
Honest. Reliable (he does what he promises and does it when he says he will). On the side of the customer. His business model is to please the customer with the best service possible and hope that the customer will return over and over. He's right about that. I've been coming back for 7 years. And maybe the best part for someone like me on a fixed income is that he doesn't bleed you dry. He charges what is fair, not what everybody else charges and not whatever he can get out of you.
This guy is the best of the best.

Great experience at Aaron's Auto. I went in for an oil change, Aaron and his dad were so pleasant. I had a couple of my children with me, so they put Little House on the Prairie on, then offered hot chocolate. Aaron quickly got started on the car. Once finished, not only did he do an oil change, fill fluids, check EVERYTHING, but he offed to switch my better tires to the front. Once the car had a check-up and got clean oil, Aaron let me know of a few things that are going to need some attention soon. He was not trying to up sell, but clearly making me aware of a few things that will need to be fixed within the next few months. For the first time, my husband agreed with the diagnosis given from a mechanic and trusts him! YAY! We have found a mechanic to stick with and trust.

Aaron has worked on three of our vehicles: a Volvo, a Toyota truck and a Honda. He's the only mechanic we have used for the last two years for scheduled maintenance as well as emergencies and and to diagnose and get recommendations. He's knowledgeable, efficient and reliable. We feel confident when we drop off any of our vehicles that he will complete the work needed, without overcharging us and he keeps the "work will be completed by" time and date. I can highly recommend Aaron's Auto and we intend to continue to utilize him for our car needs in the future.
