I am AMAZED at the professionalism, skill and customer service of this business! My insurance company recommended them, and exceeded all of my expectations!
My initial estimate went smoothly- they were busy every time I was there but were true to our appointment time and I was out of there in 20 minutes. Dropped my van off and they delivered everything promised in the amount of time promised and not only did they detail the outside of the van, they cleaned the inside too!! They even made the wheels shine! All of this with a smile!
They turned an unfortunate event into a positive experience! Scott is amazing and I would recommend them to anyone in need of auto body repair.

I was referred by AAA insurance to bring my husband truck for estimate after getting rear ended by uninsured motorist. I walked in and never got greeted nor acknowledge by the front desk lady. However someone right behind me whom just walked in a few minutes after I've been standing in front the receptionist gets helped and acknowledge and assisted first.
Then eventually someone else comes up asking if I needed assistant. I informed them that I was referred and need estimate and was told I need an appointment. So I asked how come the guy after me got assisted and got estimate as a walk up, he too didn't have an appointment and was helped before me. I literally watch that guy park his car come in and was immediately assisted. This place is a joke!!!
So there next reason was that there system is down and can't give any estimates. So I was asked to leave my information and someone will get in contact with me on there next business day which would be Monday. Well I didn't want to be contacted just to be informed that there system is back on. So I requested to have my car pictured and just contact me with the estimate. So another guys comes out just to take the pictures.
Then Monday comes.... Tuesday comes and I never got a call nor email. So I finally call them on Wednesday just to be told that they haven't got to my file yet because they've been busy with customers coming in physically to get estimates. That's bizarre because I too went in on a Friday and never got contacted until the following Friday. This place is truly a JOKE!!!
Don't bring your car in this facility!!! This place caters to the Insurance Company not to the customer service.
You have choices to bring your car at a shop that will take care of you and your car!!!
Don't waste your time coming here!!! Service is crappy!!!

My insurance company referred me to this auto body shop after my parked car was hit in the parking lot, at work, the other week. The staff here are extremely friendly and helpful. Mike even agreed to come in, prior to the shop opening, so I could make it work on time. I greatly appreciated that!
They did an excellent job fixing my car. My front bumper had to be replaced, so my car was in the shop for about 6 days (which included the weekend). My car looked brand new after I picked it up! I haven't had any issues since having my car back.
Overall, I'm very pleased with their work and customer service. I highly recommend taking your car or truck to this body shop if your car needs work!

By far this business has stellar customer service, does excellent work and the estimators ae honest and have the higest integrity. I already had an estimate from another body shop that I had used in the past but when I called AAA to start a claim they recommended American Autobody Specialists and told me they have rental cars on the premises and that they had 4.5 star rating so just for the convenience of the rental car I said I would take my car to them. I was greeted the minute I walked in the door by the receptionist and she immediately called an estimator to help me, while I was waiting for him I noticed how clean and inviting the waiting area was and that they had refreshments for their customers. The estimator introduced himself and then we walked outside to check the damage to my car. After he checked things out and took several pictures Bob, my estimator, went in to his office to look up what it needed as far as reairs go and told me it would be an easy repair, after all it was just a few scratches, a scrape and a minor dent. When he gave me the price I was shocked...in a good way. His estimate was 70% less that the first one I got then he gave me the details of what needed to be done. Bob prepared the necessary paperwork and the receptionist helped me fill out the rental car agreement, gave me the keys and away I went. Three days later I picked up my car and it looked just like it did when bought it new...beautiful. I am so happy to see that there are still honest businesses out there that don't beef up the estimates just to make an extra buck and provide excellent reapir service. If you ever need body work done this is the place to go, you won't be disappointed. Oh, one more thing when I picked up my car I was given a bouquet of fresh flowers as a thank you for choosing them...it doesn't get any better than that.

I'm not sure where their 5 star rating comes from unless their employees are doing their own reviews. Their rating was under 4 stars when i brought my car in two months ago.
I came here because of Farmers Insurance. Twice Farmer's has misled me in their own quest to reduce costs. I will not use a Farmer's inbred (preferred) shop again.
I had sideswipe damage. After the repairs you could see waves in the door panels and quarter panels. You could also see bondo and sanding marks under the paint!
American Auto Body proposed to buff them out!!!!, and then Farmers backed them without looking at the crappy work!. It wasn't until the owner of the company looked at the shoddy repair work along with one of their better body shop people that they agreed to repair the vehicle properly. This was not a pleasant experience. I am not a difficult customer and would like to have not had to deal with this bs.

Awesome experience! I'm really happy that my insurance company sent me to this auto shop. At first I was extremely upset because of the damage on my car, but as soon as I got there Brian was welcoming and took great care of my dad and I. Service was amazing along with their patience, and I really appreciated that. Brian was so kind during the whole process not only to me but also to his other customers! Although the rental car process took awhile, Brian made it clear that it was not their fault and they were in no control of the situation. Also! On top of that my car looks absolutely amazing..and he gave us 2 t shirts and a mug! thank you Brian!

I hope I never need a body shop again, but if I do I will definitely go here again. The employees r great and my car looks new again. We had our car towed this morning by the worst tow driver. He was so rude during an already stressful situation. As our car got towed he said give me your keys so it easier when we sell it. I can't believe you would have people working for your company that are so disrespectful. He also said I know where you live!! So if any damage happens you'll see that I wrote this review as proof as well as my cameras on property! I think as humans we should have kindness and compassion towards each other. I am very disappointed! I had an appointment there for a repair also and I will be taking my business else where!

Have used them before, was impressed then... Second time, consistently AWESOME!
First time, was a small bump in the side of the van door.
The second time, Nate was rear-ended, and there was quite a bit of damage to the back of his blazer. These guys were so easy to work with, quick, efficient, and most of all thorough.
Not only did they fix the damage, but they helped us get a couple tweaks out.
The staff is super friendly, they make you feel welcome and they are all about customer service!
It's always fun to get little trinkets, but they don't skimp... Nate came away with a T-shirt and I got a whole bouquet of flowers!
I know from experience, they will even send me a follow-up note and make a phone call. Over-the-top!

I recently was in a minor accident (me vs. parking curb) and needed some work done. All of the staff here were very professional. The estimator (Mr. Kuntz) walked me through everything visually and then quoted me a very workable rate. I filed it through insurance and received calls throughout the week with my status. I was also able to get a great car rental through them and the rental was on site. When I got my car back, I was very pleased because they did an amazing job on the front bumper. I will most definitely go through them for any work needed on my honda. They also handed me flowers on the way out :)

Customer Service is great!!! Didn't have services performed here but they helped so much with transferring my wrecked car to the dealership. Not sure if she spells her name Krista or Christa but she works the front desk and was so helpful and explained everything to me about the insurance claim process. she's busy but able to stay pleasant and smiling and didn't seem bothered by my need for explanation, very grateful for that. The waiting room is great, fish tank for entertaining kids, tv with seating and candy all employees were welcoming and smiling. If we have any car issues we will go to AAS. You get what you pay for at other places.

They've worked on my car twice and always go above and beyond. They email and call me before making any changes and they do a phenomenal job with providing timely updates. The office is nice and the receptionist is always sweet. I lost my wallet at a gas station a block away, and several members of the staff immediately helped me, even walking down the street to retrace my steps. My car was recently rear-ended. Unfortunately. this is not the first time i have been hit. I have been to 3 auto body shops in my life and this is by far the best service! They were on top of things and the services they provide are excellent:
- You can receive emails regarding the status of your vehicle
- They take care of getting you a rental car, sometimes they have them available to drive off right away
- They detailed my car
- They gave me flowers when i picked up my car
- Staff is friendly

This place deserves more then the 5 stars that yelp allows. I had my parked car hit and was recommended to bring my car here and I am so glad I did. Everybody there was very courteous and friendly. There are not enough stars for these guys!
We got in an a small accident in our Saturn. The tow truck driver asked us what insurance company we had as we have no idea where to take our car. He suggested AAS And I'm so glad he did. AMAZING customer service! Because Saturn was no longer in business I took a few extra days to get the parts but they communicated very well with us on what was going on. Let me say that the folks at American Auto Body are the real deal. There isn't much I can add that hasn't been said by other reviewers. I was in the insurance industry for more than 25 years and have worked with many body shops. AAS performs top quality repairs and has the best customer service in the business.
I loved that I received daily text messages letting me know the stage of completion and the projected completion date.
During the process, I made three trips (initial estimate, dropping the car off for repairs and picking it up after completion). Everyone at AAS are great people that care about the customer experience. That doesn't happen by accident. It starts with ownership. My two main contacts, Krista and John, were extremely friendly, efficient and respected my time.

I'm very reserved about my fifth star give away. Especially since no one company can be perfect, but American Auto Body Shop really came through for my family and I. Made an appointment at the beginning of the week and had my car back by Friday. Freshly repainted from my hit and run bumper that needed to be replaced. While also sporting a fresh car wash and vacuum clean. They really worked out the details with my insurance to help me pay only what I really needed to, and their inspection was so thorough, I couldn't even add anymore input. And I like to back seat drive. Lol! You're solid with these people. Customer service is superb and service is professional. You'll get your money's worth.

I was recently in a minor fender bender and needed to get my bumper fixed. After reviewing the highest rated body shops in my local area, I decided to take my Mercedes to American Autobody. I dealt with John H. -- who was great!
I had taken my vehicle to 5 other auto body shops in the Sacramento and Vacaville areas to get estimates. American Autobody's estimate was definitely on the lower end in comparison, so I was very pleased.
Long story short, my car was repaired in two days - dropped it off on a Monday, got it back that Wednesday. A job very well done -- it looked like I had a new bumper - they even got out a few other scratches in the process! Quality of work and customer service receives 5-stars!

I love these guys! I have taken a few cars to them to be repaired and have always been 100% satisfied with their work and business. Very kind people. They keep you updated with repairs and length of time that my car will be in the shop. They have rental service on site. One of my cars needed a bumper and they ordered 4 different ones because they kept arriving scratched in shipping and it was not up to their standards to put on my car and I admire that. Exceptional service from start to finish. Our Chrysler 300 had the roof caved in when a kid in our apartment complex decided to jump on it. Luckily a neighbor saw this and notified us. Anywho, we spoke with the boy's mother and she contacted her insurance carrier, Farmers. I found AAS after searching Farmers' list of preferred auto body shops and checking some reviews from Yelp, we decided on this one (also had another quote done by another shop). Boy am I glad we went with AAS. Krista, the receptionist was very friendly and helpful and always with a smile. Clay, was awesome. He explained the process from start to finish and kept my husband updated by phone. The car was completed within the time frame promised, a day earlier even. I was not prepared for the treatment we received upon picking up our car. Flowers, a tote, a T-shirt, key chain, and can coolers. In a time where customer service has gone out the window, these guys got it right. But man, when we saw the car,our jaws dropped. Not only did they repair the car, they cleaned it! Inside and out. I mean this car looked like it just rolled off the assembly line. We our beyond satisfied with the work done by AAS! Especially since this car was given to my husband by his mother before she suddenly passed away last year, from breast cancer and took very good care of her car! Thanks AAS!

We decited to get our car fixed here after getting rear ended because a friend of ours recommended them to us. From then beginning they were super sweet! Christa the pretty lady working the front desk always made us feel so welcomed and was very helpful. She was very clear on everything. They had a rental car there for us the day we dropped off our car. The day we went to pick up our car, they did such a great job that it looked like there had never been an accident! Mike was also very helpful throughout this whole process. And on top of that they even gave us flowers before leaving, how cute is that. I had a problem with my trunk latch. Called a few places most couldn't even fit me in until the next day. Spoke with Clay and he said come on down and he would take a look. Turns out (not sure of the exact jargon) something had clicked on the electric trunk closure circuit which affected the key mechanism. He fixed it in under 5 minutes and didn't even charge! Definitely returned for any major repairs! Thanks for everything Clay!!!

So glad I took my recently rear-eneded Nissan Armada to AAS to get repaired. They pointed out that the estimate I got at Rudy's Auto Body had been drafted up saying that they were going to be replacing my level 5 trailer hitch with a level 3. Our first experience needing an auto body shop....what luck that we chose American Autobody Specialist. This was a five star experience from start to finish. The SUV looks almost newer than when we bought it and after the accident it was close to being totaled.

Full disclosure: I'm writing this review on my boyfriend's behalf because he does not have a yelp account. Also, my review is long but definitely worth reading!
Words cannot explain how happy we are with AAS's work. Last year my boyfriend bought a brand new 2013 Dodge Challenger, and less than three months after buying the car it was vandalized (there are some awful people in this world). The passenger side mirror was completely broken off and there were scratches and dents all along the right side of the car. There is a crease that goes along the side of the car and there was a dent in it also so we were sure that it would not be able to be fully restored. My boyfriend had to deploy four days after his car was vandalized so he was not able to see his car get fixed. He left his car in the hands of AAS, and they did an absolutely amazing job!! After the car was fixed there were absolutely no signs that there was ever any damage. After my boyfriend came home from deployment and saw his car for the first time, he was ecstatic. Not only is their work amazing, but their customer service is top notch.
Like I said, there are some AWFUL people in this world and recently someone tried to break into my boyfriend's car...yes, the same car. There were obvious signs that someone had tried to pry open the door; the handle was popped out a bit and there were scratches where they used a tool of some short for leverage. Once again my boyfriend took his car to AAS. They took a look at the car and told my boyfriend that it could possibly be as simple as pulling in the handle from the inside, and it was that simple. Because of the fact that it was such a simple repair, they did not even charge him for it. Amazing right? Can't possibly get any better? Oh yes, it can. Not only did they fix his car for free, they detailed the entire car!!!!! Once again, AAS went absolutely above and beyond. Absolutely amazing work, and even better customer service.

Got in a minor car accident and my insurance recommended taking my car here. I couldn't be more pleased! They were professional, kind, and courteous. I was able to watch as Chris prepared the estimate, and he explained everything to me. I decided to go through this shop to get my car repaired. This place is amazing! I came here in 2012 when my brand new Mercedes Benz C250 got rear ended! The Mercedes dealership recommended this place. The lady at the front desk is friendly and all the staff are professional! I worked with John who is awesome!! He had my car fixed in no time and looking better than ever paying close attention to detail it looked brand new again! Just for being a customer I got a bouquet of flowers when picking up my car!! How sweet!! I also received a letter in the mail thanking me for my business! A few months ago I accidentally hit something while backing out which caused a dent in my bumper! Took my car here John was unavailable so i spoke to another gentleman who was just as great as John who helped me! He kicked my dent out and car was back to normal at no charge!! Just this week I was driving on the freeway when a piece of cardboard flew up and hit my car causing one of my LED lights to get dislodged! I went to the dealership and without giving my car an examination told me the light replacement would cost $432 dollars!!!!! Are you kidding me!!! Called up John and he said to bring it in and he would have a look. He took one look at my car and noticed that the light was still attached to my car!! It just wasn't noticeable since it was pushed back! Stupid Mercedes dealership didn't even look at it before quoting me a price! So John took it to the back and in less than 10 minutes had my light popped back into place at no charge!!!! How awesome is that!! I will never go anywhere else with my Mercedes the people here are awesome!!!!

These guys are phenomenal! The service was excellent. My car looked great when it was done. They let me borrow their loaner car, which ended up being a Mercedes (not a bad loaner, right?). Krista brought me flowers when I went to pick up my car, and I was surprised to find my car vacuumed and cleaned up on the inside too. Chris was a great help as well. They made a bad experience a lot less painful, as a matter of fact it is probably the best customer service I've ever had. I would definitely go back to them if ever needed and would recommend them to anyone I know that's in need of their services. I truly just can't say enough good about them!

My 2011 Mercedes Benz C300 was rear ended on I-80! It was not even a year old and I was not happy when it happend. I called Mercedes Benz and they recommended American Autobody Specialists. I met with John Heller and could not be happier! He was very attentive, accomodaing and explained all the work neccessary to restore my car to pre-accident condition. Crashing your car is a stressful experience no matter how minor. I was involved in a accident that required me to replace the bumper on my car. After dealing with the stress of getting into an accident I wanted to get my car fixed. I saw advertisements by American Auto Body in the local newspaper and thought I would give them a shot... and man am I glad I did! They welcomed me into their comforting office that is decorated to give a homie feel and accompanied by an extremely friendly staff - I instantly felt at ease as I entered their shop. I worked with Chris Francis, one of their staff members, who gave me fantastic service. I felt re-ensured that everything was going to be alright. Which is all you really want after experiencing a bad situation. After I received my car I could not be happier. The quality was out standing! Not to mention they sent me home with free flowers for the kitchen table. From here on out American Auto Body will be the only body shop that services my families vehicles.

John helped me with my toyota corrolla a few weeks ago and my car looks amazing.. they had the parts ordered and my entire front bumper replaced in 2 days!! John even told me he helped get a few dings out of the front end of my car just to help polish it up a bit! The receptionist was very nice too and she even offered to have someone pick me up because I didn't have a ride to pick up my car because it was ready so fast! I hope I won't have another accident with my car but I know if I do that I will head straight to them again. They are very professional, and friendly and I highly recommend them!

Worst AutoBody Shop in the World. I was involved in a small fender bender on June 10th. My insurance company told me to go to this shop. The shop said it would take 3 to 4 days to fix my car. I was told 2 times during 3 weeks that my car was complete and ready to pickup. One time I went to pickup the car to found the paint job they did looked rippled, gas cap door not opening correctly and the backup parking assist not connected to the rear bumper. Scott the person incharge of my car said the paint is called "Orange Peel Affect" and that he didn't realize the parking assist wasn't installed in the bumper. I called and asked to talk to the owner of the company, I complained ablout Scott and the service I was getting. I was given a rental car at that time and was told he would look into it and take care of it. Scott called a 3rd time saying my car was ready, I went to pickup the car and the park assist still not installed in the rear bumper and the stearing wheel was about a 30% off alinement. Scott handed me a bouquet of flowers and said "this is for your trouble". If my husband picked up my car, do you think Scott would give him flowers? I just wanted my car fixed. I took my unfixed car and left upset and mad. Then Scott called after the weekend and said he would send someone to pickup my car, to fix the parking assist and the stearing wheel alinement. About 2 hours last they returned my car and guess what, they did'nt fix the steering alinement. The person who delivered my car called Scott and Scott said "he forgot to tell them to fit the stearing alinement". I'm not sure why anyone would hire or keep a person that is so incompetent and as for the owner to this company, you failed to follow throught. I do not recommend this company.

A few months ago I had my car fixed from an accident on my right side. I asked if they could fix my car in two days and they delivered. I've been to one other place before I stopped off here and they kind of laughed at me and gave me the run around. AAS did no such thing. They even drove me home one day to evaluate my car. I don't think I've come across such good service before and I will definitely be returning here again if I need to.

I just recently got in a little fender bender and my insurance company recommended I take my car to AAS. When I dropped off my car, everyone in the office was super friendly and helpful. My car was fixed very fast and they did a beautiful job repairing my vehicle. You can't even tell there had been damage to the car. I would definitely recommend AAS to other people in need of auto body work!!! And I became a fan of them on Facebook and they fixed my headlights for free. They were coludy and they were able to clean them up and make them look brand new. Thanks AAS!
