There are times when we just know it is mandantory to write a review for a business establishment. I am new to the Inland Empire. On May 31, 2016, my vehicle became disabled in Chino. I called AAA roadside assistance. They timely dispatched 2 technicians over to me. The techs worked very hard in trying to get my vehicle started to no avail. A tow truck from Pacifica Towing was dispatched and I selected "Roy's Auto Repair" at 687 N. Benson in Upland. I rode over with the tow truck driver to Roy's Auto Repair. I was greeted by the most professional office Manager (Victor) It was near the end of the working day so I expected the mechanics would run the diagnostics the following day. Victor offered me a ride in his personal vehicle back to my home in Chino. Definitely an act of kindness. Roy at the auto repair went the extra mile and notified me that my vehicle was running properly and could be picked up. I am giving this business 10 Stars!!!!!!!!!! Best, R Hughes

There's a reason Roy has exclusively 5 star reviews and it's not because he's paying fake profiles to speak highly of him like some establishments. If you want an honest hard working mechanic this is your guy.
Came to Roy for a standard oil change ($30) and asked him to replace my brakes because my boyfriend and I thought something was up since I just bought my car off someone. He told me that he would do a full inspection of my car for free.
He calls me to let me know my brakes are in great condition and have a few more miles on them. He could have easily made an extra $200 off me, but that's not what he's about!
This guy will go the extra mile (no pun intended) to make sure that your car gets all the attention it needs. He's respectful to his female customers too and lord knows that can be hard to find in this industry.

Roy is amazing he has been the best mechanic I have ever had. I appreciate his honesty even if it hurts. He is above the 5 stars that yelp has. Roy's Auto Repair in Upland has worked on our Generation 1 Prius and Honda Accord. Example: The accord has to be towed in due to a brake issue. No matter the age and mileage his staff always treats each repair the same with good communication and fair prices. If something does not go as expected Roy will try hard to make it right! He's not a mind reader so you do have to speak to him if you have any issues.

Finding Roy's Auto Repair has been a blessing. Not only is Roy a respectful gentleman but he is honest, dependable, doesn't overcharge, and is extremely knowledgable about cars. As a woman customer, I've had a lot of mechanics who have tried to take advantage of me. He's not like this. Is he the best mechanic I've ever had? Yes, he is! I highly recommend Roy's Auto Repair!!

I went here for an oil change on a recommendation from my co worker who spoke very highly of Roy's auto. I went after work at 5.30 ( they close at 6). I spoke to Roy and got in and out by 6 pm and paid less than Jiffy Lube with half the wait and wasn't told I needed all kinds of other stuff. Roy is super nice and personable. I found my new mechanic/auto shop. I will come here from now on! Thanks to my co worker Carmen.....and thank you Roy's Auto Center.....happy customer here!!

I discovered Roy's Auto Repair on the recommendation of a friend and brought my Lexus RX in for the 60K service. The quote I was given was spot on and in fact Roy threw in a couple of extras that I hadn't expected - like an oil and filter change!
The shop is clean and organized. At the appointment time I drove right into one of the repair bays. The service took a few minutes less than the time that I was told to expect. As I waited I watched as Roy fielded questions from other customers professionally and left me with the feeling that he was genuinely trying to solve problems in a fair and efficient manner.
I'll be bringing my wife's car and my own here for all further problems and services. I'm glad that I found this business.

I called Roys on friends recommendation. My car needed an alternator and had to be towed to his shop. I got to the shop about 2:00 pm ( he asked me be there by 1:00 because he closed at 3). this was a Saturday aftern [n. He took my car in and replaced the alternator staying past his closing time. I have never met a business owner willng to stay past closing time. I actually paid less that what he quoted. Waiting roon was clean. Roy was very courteous and professional. THANK YOU Roy! I will go there again and highly recommend this shop.

My family and I have been coming to roys and his team for years now... most trusted business man I have met in this auto industry. He is very pleasent. Goes above and beyond for cilent urgency. He works with you the best he can with Timing and never recommend work you don't need. This is where alot of my trust has been put into him...and he is fair in pricing. Parking isn't bad, just pull right up and they take care of the rest! :) forever cilent and i recommended so many people to him and will continue!!

Ive gone to Roy since I had my first car in High school and I wouldnt go anywhere else. He's always fair with his prices, doesn't reccomend work I don't need, and is does great work. I had to bring my car in before a long road trip and he fixed my brake pads in less than half an hour just so I could get on the road. I always reccomend friends with car problems here.

I have been taking my cars here for years. I always get great service, always get an honest opinion and am charged more than fairly and only ever for the work that is actually needing to be done. I don't trust mechanics as a general rule so the fact that this place is so trustworthy makes it the only place I will ever consider taking my cars to.

Honest, fast, friendly...the BEST mechanic ever!! I took my first car to him about 9 yrs ago. My kids take their cars to him, I have referred him to friends numerous times. he is absolutely THE best! I have been burnt and cheated by way too many mechanics but Roy never over charges and does the job right! I will continue to refer everyone I know to him.

I bought AAA plus so I can get my car to Roy's from San Diego!
As many of us have found out, good honest auto mechanics are hard to come by and this is why I continue to take my car to Roy's. Roy is extremely honest and has never tried to over sell me on parts or labor. He openly communicates when he foreshadows problems that may come up and gives me the options on how to handle them without making me feel like my car is going to explode if I don't spend the money right then. I could write a lot of positive points that Roy does right, but the best thing I can say is I live in San Diego, my parents live in Huntington Beach and we all drive (or tow) our cars to Roy's when we need his services! Been doing it for over 10 years.

I have been looking for a trust worthy, reliable mechanic for a long time for mine and my wife's car. It seems like mechanics are always just salesmen that try to sell you services you don't need. They are always so pushy...I hate that.
I am a local firefighter and I heard about Roy's, because he is the mechanic that a lot of the other guys at the fire station recommended. So I decided to give him a try. It was a little further of a drive for me, but very glad I took it there. You can tell right off the bat, that Roy is a very personable and honest guy. Not one of those pushy salesmen. I had great experience with him and he did excellent work at a good price. I will continue to come back and I will recommend Roy's to everyone I talk to.

I found Roy's Auto years ago by a referral and I'm happy to find this place!
Roy is one of the most helpful and honest mechanics you'll meet. I have taken all my maintenance and repairs here for the last 7 years, and all my cars run beautifully. Each time I come, he would let me know when I need to replace a part. He's genuinely honest, I'll check my brake pads, spark plugs, and oil knowing that I won't have to replace them for several months and he'll confirm what I thought when I ask him if it needs changing. He's not a salesman that tries to offer services you don't need. Some other auto shops always trying to offer me alignment every time go. At Roy's, it's none of that. Here, I feel like I'm getting the best bang for the buck!
I have referred all my friends and they are all pleased with Roy's work. I highly recommend this place.

I have been coming to Roy's for 5 years. He was recommended to me and I have never gone anywhere else. I have since recommended him to least 5 other people. He is as honest as they come and never pushy. He tells me what I need to fix right away and what I have a few months on and what really does not need fixing. Most important to me is that he does not bait and switch me , what he tells me is what I pay at the end. No nervous butterflies as I wait for my car to be done. If I moved 30 miles away I would still make the drive to Roy.

Its hard to find an honest mechanic out there but Roy is definitely one of them. My Suburban was having loss of power and missing really bad. I took it to the dealer and I was told it needed sensors and would cost me $1300. So I then took it to another mechanic for a second opinion and they told me it was the lifters and his price was $1900 but they would give me a discount bringing it down to $1600. I then drove it over to Roy he turned it on and right away told me it was not the lifters. He fixed it and got it running like new for $400. My dad has been bringing his cars to Roy for years now he is the only guy I will let touch my cars. There is a reason he has his shop packed every time I have been there. Thanks Roy

I was referred to Roy by one of the mother's at my church, I liked Roy the first day I met him and I have been going to him close to 15 years. Roy is in deed trustworthy and an honest mechanic thus far I have never had a problem with him or his staff who as well are always professionals. My family has taken all of our cars to him and I always refer him to others and I haven't heard a complaint at all. Roy has always been honest with me in reference to cars I thought I wanted, he always given me the Pros and Cons . I went against his advise once on a car I thought was my Dream Car (won't mention the make) but it was a high-end car and that so call dream car turned out to be such a Nightmare I should have listened to Roy would have saved me so much money, Roy never said 'I told you so". I would recommend Roy to anyone, he's mild mannered, easy to talk to, honest and very trustworthy I will remain with him forever.
