Just got back my 2009 Cad escalade back from this shop. And I must say there are not enough stars to give. Ive never had such good customer service and great workman ship in a body repair facility. Gerald the manager kept me up to date as parts arrived and work being performed. The staff that I was able to meet also polite good work environment. I hope I never have a accident again but if I do I know where to go without question.

When you have dents, scratches or just been in an accident; you need to give Gerald at Mid Cal Body Shop a call! He will evaluate your vehicle's damage, use quality parts and paint to make your vehicle like new again. Also, he will work on vintage vehicles to bring them back to their glory. This body shop is upfront about your costs/insurance costs and will defend your rights of having the job done right with the insurance companies.

Gerald and his staff fixed my son's car after he was hit by an uninsured driver. Luckily the accident was at a low speed and he was not hurt. Sadly, he was driving a small Nissan Versa and was hit by an old pickup truck and the body damage to his car was pretty bad. Mid Cal Body Shop made the car look PERFECT! They were fast and kept me informed all along the way.

My husband has been working on his three tone 55 Packard Caribbean for 35 years. Originally one of 500, there are currently about 150 left on the road. It's a very special car.
When we decided to get it painted, we got estimates from several shops near our home in the Bay Area. Although we love the car, we didn't love the prices we were getting for the paint job. On the advice of a friend from Stockton, we took the car to Gerald and the crew at Mid Cal, and we were not disappointed. Gerald runs a top notch, professional shop, with a state of the art spray booth. His prices are competitive, and he and his staff took great pains to treat our car with the TLC we thought it deserved. The end result was a terrific paint job that has heads turning. I just picked up my 1994 Buick LeSabre. I got in a little crash which ripped off the bumper and the left side quarter panel. The right side quarter panel was damaged when I had to finish ripping off the bumper so I could drive away. The accident was my fault. I have to tell you, I want to tell you, Mid-Cal auto body did an amazing job. I could not be happier. And what really blows my mind is that the car looks just like it did before I crashed it. Truly amazing, not only did they fix it, but they matched the paint to the rest of the car which is twenty years old! Mid-Cal isn't cheap, however, as the old adage goes "you get what you pay for"... If you need good quality body work, now you know where to take your vehicle...

They ALWAYS do more than is expected, like for instance, dealing with insurance companies to make sure I get factory parts and not knock-offs like so many insurance companies want their customers to use. (How do you think some companies quote unbelievably low rates? They put junk parts in your car!) Mid Cal's rates are more than fair, especially considering the high quality of work they are known for. Not to be corny, and I have not asked them about this, but I believe they run their business along the lines of the "the golden rule": They treat each vehicle like it is their own. This way of doing business should not be extraordinary, but unfortunately, these days it is. So, if you want your vehicle restored to better-than-before at rates that are extremely competitive by a family-owned business whose owners you can trust 100% to do what they say and more, go to Mid Cal Body Shop.

Mid Cal has restored my 1959 MGA 1500. The restoration is off the frame, ground up. It is absolutely beautiful. I have had other work done by Mid Cal and there is no cracking, fading, oxidation etc after 15 years. I do apply a hand wax every 6 months. You cannot go wrong by having Dianne and Gerald do body work on your car.

Excellent work

They did a great job on my Grand Cherokee when I got rear-ended. Paint matched perfectly even though the car was 5 years old, everything lined up and the car drove perfectly when I got it back. (there was some frame damage from the impact)
