THANK YOU SO MUCH DAVID!
There's so much positive points I can make but I'm going to try and keep this short and straight to the point.
David was very professional and was timely when it came to getting back to me with all my questions. I work 12 hour days from Tuesday through Saturday so I appreciated how respectful he was of my schedule and how there was clear communication throughout the whole process. David made sure it all went stress-free and the car was in pristine condition when I got it back. They did such an amazing job and I would highly recommend everyone to come see David if they ever need anything fixed on their vehicle. Hopefully I won't have to go back but it's definitely good to know I have somewhere I can trust to come back to if needed.

This is the first time my car go into a body shop. The good thing is that as soon as I chose them as my body shop, they went pick up my car from the towing center. They order the parts very fast, and update my the repair status every week. Now I've been driving my car for 2 weeks, everything seems good.
However, there are three things I'm not satisfied.
1. Different staff have different opinion about when my car will be available for pickup. My first adviser is David, who told me that my car should be available before May. Then he left his job, and then Joseph called me saying that my car should be done on May 9th. In fact, the real ready to pickup date was another day.
2. After a test run after picking up my car, I found that the driver seat and front seat are shaking when brake, and can be shaken by hand. I drove my car back to the body shop, and they said THIS IS NORMAL THIS IS THE WAY IT WAS! I left. I went to MINI service the following day and asked the technician to check up my seat. The technician immediately told me that a part in the seat need to be replaced, and they fixed the car.
3. Even though Pan American say that they will wash your car, but in fact the car was still dirty. The front of my car still have mud, and the back seat has mud too.

I can't comment on the quality of work done here as I decided to take my business elsewhere.
I had a better experience at the other Pan American location in San Jose but this was closer to me so I decided to take an appointment here instead assuming it was same quality. I just had a poor experience dealing with the manager here when I decided to get a quote for a minor repair. He was borderline confrontational when I asked questions about the repair to get his more 'experienced' thoughts about it and he insinuated that I was just doing this whole 'get-the-quote' to get money out of the party which hit my car. I was actually alarmed and called him out saying I didn't like the way things were going here and being spoken to like this.
He did his job, gave me the quote but by then I had a bad taste in my mouth and convinced I wasn't coming back here. Whatever it was, I didn't like his aggressive tone, there was nothing friendly or polite about it and I was happy to walk out of there and take my business elsewhere.

I so agree with a previous review about the attitude of the manager at the Cupertino location, David Keiser. He is helpful until all the paperwork is signed and then it is like a switch is turned. He is agressive, disrespectful, and argumentative. Unfortunately, unlike S.G. I had already signed ALL the paperwork. Also, the location in Cupertino is deceptive. It is almost like a bait and switch since nothing is done at that location. All the work is done in San Jose.
I cannot believe AAA is recommending this shop. I am planning to file a complaint and will post another review when and if there is some kind of resolution. However, should you be advised to take your car to this location, ask for another recommendation!

Repair: 8/10 Their work is not the cleanest. yes the dent in my rear bumper was fixed however some scratches were still visible and there were couple visible paint bubbles. When I brought it back in they were really nice about repairing it. After the second repair my bumper looks flawless except I found some paint residue hanging off of the edge of the bumper ( underneath the car ) it's not a big deal but it could of been cleaner.
Customer service: 9/10 the customer service and timeliness is decent considering the amount of customers they have. I dropped my car for repair on Wednesday morning but didn't hear back until Friday late afternoon. I tried calling the whole day on Friday but the person responsible for my case was untraceable and no one else could assist me.

I had a wonderful experience with David and Ashley. They dealt with my insurance company to make sure all the work would be covered. David was very professional and a very nice guy! He kept me updated on the progress of my car, and it was even done several days early. I would definitely work with them again if my car needed body work. The repairs look great!

High quality work done on time, impressive communication, great work guarantee. I would recommend this business and would definitely come back.
I was a drop-in and David made time to look at my car and write up an estimate. He took time to explain the whole process to me and gave approximate time frame. My insurance company was not that organized, but David made it work and insurance adjuster successfully met me. For some reason, my insurance adjuster did not feel the need to communicate to me his findings. So, David thoroughly explained to me the differences between his estimate and what insurance had approved.
The process of fixing my car was quick and completely painless. I got a rental (easy process with David's help) and had my car back in a couple of days.
I very much appreciated the clear and frequent communication throughout the process. I did not need to call or email asking questions. Next steps were clear. My expectations were set and the result exceeded them.

Some idiot rear ended my 2012 car and my car dealer recommended them. David knows everything, the service was Good, I got updated on the repairs and they took care of the insurance and car rental.
The inside bumper bars were replaced and the outside bumper was only repaired. They will use non oem part or whichever was cheaper. Check your insurance for this.
I got better service from the other shop I went to, At least they touched up some rock chips on my front bumper for FREE even without telling them. Maybe PanAm don't do that because they're a huge shop and they're very busy.
Oh and I still have some pink residue on my front bumper. AND somebody RIPPED an insulation and didn't even bother to put it back. I will POST some pictures. I also lost MPG after the repair.

Numerous issues with these guys all negative - first, I don't think any repair work is done in Cupertino - my job was relatively minor (front bumper replacement & dented hood) and my car was sent to their San Jose faciltiy. It became obvious the communication between Cupertino & San Jose is not good so I won't ever be back - 4 of my issues; there were more: asked them to check the alignment twice before & during the repair - they agreed to check it, but decided not to fix it. When my wife picked up the car, they told my wife it's not covered because it didn't happen from the accident. Great communication (not) and my car is not right, so I took it somewhere else for alignment. Called my insurance company & they were happy to reimburse me for the alignment - my insurance company was never asked by PA & gladly covered the complete repair of my car. PA said they'd touch up my back bumper scratches when they repainted my front bumper (didn't happen). Another big issue was the huge hassle when I dropped my car off 45 minutes early so I could meet the guy from Hertz (picking up another customer) - worst customer service experience I've ever had. Finally my quoted 4 day job took 2 weeks.

I backed my Mother-in-law's flawless Infiniti into a concrete column and scratched (badly) the bumper. I was returning to Southern California so I had to find a shop, get the car there, and hope they did a good job.
I dealt with David at Pan American via email and phone and had the car dropped off at their shop. I had already returned home but when the car was picked up a few days later it was described to me as "Looks like new!".
From first contact all the way through the customer service was efficient and direct. The car was returned as promised and my Mother-in-law was thrilled. We all know how difficult that can be to accomplish.
These guys really seem to take pride in what they do. Hard to go wrong with a shop that tries this hard and returns results like this.

The one thing I want to emphasize about Pan American Body Shop is that their customer service and communication is absolutely phenomenal. They are a body shop that is endorsed and affiliated with AAA, so after I filed my claim, AAA set me up to do my body work at this shop, automatically sending over my insurance information. David at Pan American gave me a call that very evening and set up an appointment to bring in the car the next morning at 7am.
When I got there, the sun was barely up and the shared parking lot was still empty. I walked to the front door and saw their posted hours of 9am to 6pm. Uh oh! Well, David came to the front door and explained that they had just changed their hours to open at 7am to better serve customers who have to get to work and cannot wait until 9am. Yay! He quickly gathered the information he needed from me and we got to looking at the car. He walked around all sides and took pictures, then I waited in the lobby while he worked up what the initial estimate would be. He explained to me that he expected it would take a few days (Thursday and Friday) to order and receive the required parts, then there was the weekend, and then it would take a few days to actually install the parts and repaint the bumper to match my car (Monday and Tuesday). He estimated that I would be able to pick up the car on Tuesday. I appreciated how clear and forthright he was with everything he was telling me.
One added touch that I really appreciated was that David then also called up Hertz rental car agency, so I could get a pick up to get a rental car at the Hertz office!
I got two more calls from him with an update on the estimate after that. And then imagine my surprise when I get a call the very next day around noon from David again telling me that my car was finished! I could come pick it up at 4:30pm after they moved it back from their actual shop location where the work was done. I was really pleased with the overall experience. Not only did it only take 2 days to get the work done, but they kept me super updated regarding the progress and cost. Yes, it is expensive, but the work was top notch. I got my car back completely cleaned inside and out, and the body work was spotless. They even detailed my car interior!

Great service, great results!
After getting vague information from a competitor, I took my Volvo to Pan American (the Bubb Road, Cupertino, office). There, I talked to David K. He was helpful, open, and friendly. He discussed various options, as well as possible problems that could be lurking under the surface. He also made me aware of low-cost car rentals they have available via Hertz. Dave gave me a verbal estimate, and the emailed copy was waiting for me when I got back to my desk. I decided to have Pan Am do the work ... and I'm quite happy with the results (and the process of getting there). David kept me appraised of the car's status and likely finish date, and was readily available when I called.
Although I hope to not use them again ... because that means I need body work :) ... I would certainly not hesitate to go back to Pan American Collision Center!
The only suggestion I have for improvement would be to re-stripe the parking lot using larger (and diagonal) spaces ... but I suspect that was done by the landlord, not Pan Am or the other nearby businesses!
When I dropped my car off, I was given a ride to Hertz ... picked up a nice rental car ($20/day, a great price) with very little red tape at Hertz.
When I picked up my car, I was able to leave the rental car at Pan Am, which was a great timesaver!

I took my car here after an accident as it was on my insurance company's list of affiliated shops. Overall, the service was very good, the people very helpful and professional.
On the downside, they managed to lose a part. They were very professional about everything, and set everything to rights, which I'm actually pretty pleased about. But this shouldn't have ever happened in the first place. Sigh. I hope that my case is the exception, but if I ever have to have more body work (ok, when ;-), I'm going to try someplace else.

I write this review after having used Pan American with David & JoJo at the Cupertino location 2 times!
First off - this is not the cheapest place to get work done. But that is not the point, as it is not the most expensive place either. What Pan American is truly exceptional at is quality of work and quality of service. Honestly speaking beyond exceptionally excellent.
1. David - The responsiveness, attentiveness, professionalism and care of David is amazing. He took care of helping me to get my car fixed which meant helping me to deal with Insurance company problems and rental car problems (don't let Enterprise tell you that you in an insurance claim you are still required to pay taxes - its a lie!). So not only did he do his job well, he did the service side of the jobs of the insurance agent and the rental car provider as well. He really made totally clear to me that he cared about managing my entire experience which meant him helping me deal with all the different parties involved the whole process. This was beyond out of his way, but it was apparently just normal business "done right" for him. Give this man a raise. When a person understands and manages a customers' total experience, then they are managing from a long-term, relationship-based, systems quality of integrity perspective. WOW!!!!! I could go on and on and on with HOW MUCH TIME, MONEY and EFFORT David personally SAVED ME, but then I wouldn't have covered all the other great aspects about bringing your business for auto body work here.
2. JoJo - so nice and helpful and accommodating. Really never once felt like I do at all the other places (intimidated, ignorant, at the accommodation of the auto place, etc.). a score of 11 out of 0-10 range.
3. Waiting room - large, nice magazines, wifi, big club leather chairs, music, TV (well only in the SJ location), new and spotless bathroom. Think Ritz-Carlton in service; and think San Francisco's W Hotel in waiting room style. My only issue is the Motel 6 coffee pot and foam cups - but I have to admit I am extra picky about this as I run a tea business and have set up tea service for waiting rooms before.
4. My Car - it never looked so good since the dealer's lot! They fixed everything and even touched other scrapped areas gratis (my car has a low riding bumper). And they did it exactly in the time frame promised in addition to taking my car even before all the insurance stuff was sorted out first. Cherry on the cake - they even managed to completely save my precious bumper sticker (got it in Japan at a special Shrine and it offer's protection in driving).
Fellow Yelper, this is a very honest review and it was so very well earned - thanks guys for making my day, month and year on being treated so honorably.

I highly recommend Pan American. I took my 2011 Honda CRV following AAA's recommendation and I am very pleased with the work they have done!!! The work was completed in two days and everything looks great! Mel was friendly, professional, and efficient ! I love that they called me with updates about my car to reassure me and answer ALL of my car questions!!! Brought my Honda in for front end damage in December. Went to both Pan American and House of Miracles to see what was the difference. Since my insurance was farmers, Pan American had the edge since it was a preferred vendor.
I met Dave and he went over every negative Yelp review posted here and why they posted the way they did. He explained circle of dependability, refund on rental and how it works. I asked him why I should use him vs. the competitors and he said he would be faster, quality was the same and give me a check reimbursement for not using a rental car. Faster and cheaper for same quality sold me.
Turned in on a Monday afternoon, back Saturday at 530pm. Easy, convenient.
My only issue is that I wish he told me to pick up at a time when there was more daylight to be able to see the car before I took it home. When I picked up, it was so dark and he told me I had to take the car. So had the wife drive back w/ flashlight to see the repair and did not make me feel good that I was looking at the repairs w/ bad lighting, etc, didn't offer flashlight - he could've been more flexible on this.
Dave is a good guy, but gruff; meaning he has a big personality and says a lot of things in absolutes. For example, "You can't do that!", "It has to be done this way." And when I picked up the car at 530pm and the light was bad to see the body work, he say, "You HAVE TO take it." That is the only reason I put 4 stars - he needs to work on the "service" aspect - just fine tune your tone of voice and choice of words and you'll get to 5 stars.
Other than that fine tuning, I am happy. Dave follows up and works real hard - I've seen him walking in early in the a.m. and he leaves late. I think he called me back at 630pm 2 times and does call back quickly also. He sets expectations as far as timing well also. I would recommend and use again.

If you have a nice-ass car that you want treated right especially when its in pain and dis-figured. Go here.
My car, sadly, was hit pretty bad and the damages were, to my surprise, huge! It took a while to get the repairs done, 30 days to be precise. My insurance wouldn't cover the rental for the entire period, so David even made sure he covered the rental from PAN-Ams pocket for a bit. David and Aimee are really sweet. Spoke to me through the repairs and were flat out honest and straight-forward about everything.
I know a lot of people say this and it never seems possible, but my car REALLY is BETTER than ever. Great job on the car, it looks perfect and the post repair detailing job done on the car was brilliant too. Really done down to minutest detail.
I was frustrated about the time it took to get the job done, but I'm guessing that is mostly because of the type of damages and BMW imposed standards for performing fixes.
Bottom-line, Car looks great. Drives Great.

I gave my Lexus GS for body work to Pan American. I was referred to them based on them being a part of my insurance company preferred provider network. My experience with them was outstanding. From the outset in reaching out to me, scheduling the meeting, professionalism in conducting themselves, being on top of little details, regular communication, and good attitude was all terrific. What really delighted me were 2 things where they went above and beyond - (1) The gave me a week of free rental incremental to my insurance company rental and (2) They planned well and returned my car 4-5 days early. While I expected some buffer in the time they quoted this was better than what I had in mind.
Great service and great end result. Mel from Pan American was my contact and I want to thank him from taking the stress off me while my car was getting repaired.

The work they did was fine. The representatives demeanor was cloyingly sweet and a sham. Not open to questions, in a rush to get you to sign up. and in a rush to get you to sign off on the delivery. Even wrote this ratings of 10 and wanted me to sign it which I refused. I knew the moment I left the car with them that they would "discover" something else underneath and come back with a higher quote which they did.

I brought my car here after I hit a deer driving up the 280. AAA recommended this place. everything about this place said professional. There customer service and communication is absolutely perfect. they told me what they were going to do, how long it would take them to do it and what it will cost. they kept me updated with the progress of my cars repairs and actually finished everything ahead of schedule. Due to my work schedule, I was unable to pick up my car the day it was repaired. Just to put my mind at ease, Mel ( my service rep ) texted me a picture of my car. that's what I call service. I've had my car back now for about 3 weeks and it's as pretty as the day I bought it. Thank you AAA for recommending this place and thank you Pan America for making an unpleasant situation a whole lot less unpleasant. If you love your car and want it repaired right, take it to Pan America....ask for Mel.

I had a small damage on my Acura TSX while driving on freeway 880. I was driving back home at night. I was hit by a stray object on the 2nd lane on freeway. My car got damage in the front. I call AAA insurance and they referred me to Pan American Body Shop at Bubb Rd, Cupertino, CA. Monday I took my car to Pan American Body Shop. David Keiser came forward and talked to me. He looked at the damaged area, took picture and asked me to bring the car next Thursday. He told me in between he will make all paper work ready with my insurance company and will call me. I got a call next day from David indicating all is ready. Thursday, I took the car to Pan American in the morning, David did all the paper work and double checked to make sure, he has taken care of all the damaged areas. He also gave me a ride back to home which was extremely helpful. He call me next day to let me know about few more things to be done as a part of the fix. On next Wednesday , he call me and told me that the car is ready and I can pick up on that day or next morning. I went to pick up the car, it was absolutely fabulous. My car looked as it was before the incident.
Yes, one more thing, I need to mention, David came and gave a ride from my home to Pan American Body Shop. I really appreciate his help. About the service Pan American Body Shop provided, it is really great. David really handled the entire process extremely well and I will remember him for his service.

Unfortunately, this is the 2nd time I've had to go to Pan American to repair body damage to my car, what can I say... people love to run into my car! As soon as I got into my last accident I gave them a call and they sent a tow truck to pick up my car and offered to give me a ride home! When you're in a stressful situation like a car accident, it's a relief that you don't have to worry about finding a ride!
Louis has helped me with both of my accidents and goes above and beyond to make sure you have "no worries!" (lol he says that a lot) He answered my many questions and kept me updated on everything they were doing with my car. I hardly had to talk to insurance because Louis was so on top of things. I'd recommend this body shop to anyone in need of repairs. Everyone at the shop is totally friendly and helpful. Louis helped take the stress out of my stressful situation ($9,000 worth of damage) and my car looked brand new again when I picked it up, I couldn't have been happier with the work!

First time getting into a car accident, and my first time at a body shop. Heard my horror stories about body shops about how they don't get things done, use the wrong paint, and etc. My car being a Kia Soul has a special color "white blue" referred to the Ghost. My worries about my car skyrocketed, but after reading the reviews on yelp I decided to give Pan American a try. I am so glad I did. David was super nice and helpful in getting me to understand the processes and everything. When my car was ready it was back to its original shape or even better! Also when I dropped off my car I was below Empty for my gas, but when I started my engine they put in gas for me, lol. Thank you Pan American it was the best experience I had!

Definitely wouldn't recommend if you want to be treated with respect. I'd called a week ahead to schedule a time to come in, as I needed to be sure I'd have transportation while my car was repaired, and somehow the assistant at the shop wrote the appointment for the wrong time. When I spoke with David, he actually became angry and in as much words told me it was a waste of his time for me to help accommodate me. 'Come back when it's convenient for me or go somewhere else'. I went somewhere else.

Not only did Pan American do a stellar job in repairing my car, they went out of their way to give me that "warm fuzzy" feeling all throughout the process.
It started with a 30-45 minute appointment just to get a quote to me (by the way, their office is pretty aesthetically pleasing and spacious...I felt at times I was at a corporate office rather than a body shop). David explained, in detail, the entire set of repairs to my car, down to the specific parts that would be removed and installed. He even let me watch as he input each service into his pricing program on his computer, so I was able to see exactly what and how I would be charged. To go even further, he then worked with me to remove or alter certain services to bring down the quote to a price significantly cheaper than other body shops in the area.
Even as I returned to sign the agreement to initiate the repairs, David called the parts supplier, the company scheduler, and the rental car company right in front of me to confirm that all phases of the repair would go as smooth as possible. Furthermore, the day I actually dropped off the car, the rental car company tried to pull a bait and switch with a higher priced rental. In response, David immediately set me up with another rental car company that was able to give me the original rate I was looking for.
The repairs took a day less than planned, and I couldn't be more satisfied with finished product, especially considering that I chose to alter some services in order to get a cheaper price. They even detailed the interior, and re-inflated a tire that had been quite low the day I dropped it off.
So all in all, I had the best price, detailed and attentive service, and minimal intrusion to my daily schedule. 5 stars, and I would recommend to anyone without hesitation.

Once you go in there is a guy called David, he will assist you with everything starting from the estimate to getting you a rental car. They are also pretty quick and they know what they are doing. My Lexus was recently hit by someone insured by Farmers. Farmers gave me a few options of shops and I selected Pan American based on the reviews. I was not disappointed. First, the service was fantastic. David and Joseph both did a great job explaining to me all of my options, how long my car would take to get repaired and setting me up with a rental car at Hertz. They made the process of getting my car fixed as smooth as possible. Second, when I did get my car back (on time!) it looked fantastic. The team at Pan American made my car look better than it did before I got hit. Finally, David and Joseph both went out of their way to keep me informed about where my car was in the process and even let me leave my rental at Pan American and drive my own car home. This saved me a tremendous amount of time and hassle. If I ever have damage to my car in the future, I will definitely be headed back to Pan American because I know I can trust them and will get great service.

I thought I was in for a nightmare when my van got rear-ended. This is a great auto body shop. The support and care is top-notch. I chose this location since it is close to my work. When my car was rear-ended a few months ago, they brought it back to beautiful perfect condition, with a lot of attention given to customer service - friendly updates and information. I recently needed an adjustment to the trunk, and they took it in and fixed it pronto. I was in an accident about four weeks ago and needed a place to send my car to. Juggling multiple calls between the insurance company and the towing dispatchers during rush hour, I was panicking. I have a fairly new Mercedes and was not comfortable going to the first place the insurance suggested. I called the dealer where I get my maintenance done and asked for referral. They said Pan American in a heartbeat and I'm so glad I asked. Kimberly who took my call was so helpful - she asked where I was and quickly pointed me to the closest office (they have multiple locations). The car was drivable but they asked me to call them back at any sign of trouble so they would send out the tow truck. I got to the Cupertino location and Louis took over. He worked with my insurance company, updated me periodically about the status (of both the car and the paperwork), sent me pictures of the car in the state that they based the estimate on and explained everything and answered all my question when I went to pick it up. I was a bit impatient and frustrated toward the end due to the insurance company not coming through as quickly as I hoped but Louis remained professional and courteous throughout the interactions. My calls and emails were either answered immediately or within a couple of hours at the latest. It's been a week since I got my car back and it looks better than ever with absolutely no issue. I would never wish an accident upon anyone but if you had one and need a body shop that you can trust, I would definitely recommend Pan American. I am one very happy customer.

We didn't start off on the right foot due to some communication issues, but I am not about to let that stand in the way of the first shop who has EVER treated me with respect. I may be a woman, but I know about cars, and every other dealership or shop that I have been to has tried to take advantage of me, but not The Driving Machine. They were late and did damage to a car that's 21 years old. Replacement parts (interior) are hard to find and expensive. But they also left the clutch pedal with a clicking 'they couldn't figure out'. I've tried to work with them over the years and I've never been impressed and they charge a fortune. It is obvious from the damage done by the mechanics that they are not happy working there.
