My check engine light came on last week and I was avoiding getting it checked out. I called one shop and they said they could make an appt next week and I'd have to pay for 30 min of "work" to evaluate it. I just spent $1200 in 2-3 months on my 2002 Honda that is hardly worth the costs of those repairs so I was little stressed. I called Acur It today and they said come in anytime and it'd be no problem to just scan the code.
Mitch was so kind, efficient and thorough. All we did today was check and clear the code. It wasn't in need of immediate repair but I feel better knowing the issue and being aware. Mitch explained it to us in terms that a 25 yr old girl with no car experience fully understood. That was so appreciated. At some shops I feel dismissed and taken advantage of. This was not the case with Mitch at Acur It. I will definitely return when I am in need of further service to my car!

I reached out to Mitch early morning yesterday with an urgent request to do a pre-car purchase inspection. He responded quickly, even going so far as to drop the owner back at their home. This was incredibly useful because I was calling from out of town and didn't want to buy a car without a thorough inspection.

I have been coming here for over 20 years. In 1995 I had a non Honda service guy work on my car and it took him forever just to find where the computer was! That's when I found Acur-it Honda they have been great to work with. They kept my 1991 Honda Station wagon going 383,000 miles. And we were one of many pictures on the wall of cars with over 250,000! When my sister was looking for her next car, she wanted it to be a one that Acur-it serviced because we felt so confident in their service. Never taken advantage of, always explained well and always felt like they had my back. Love this shop. They now service our prius. So happy to have business that know me, know my car, and know their business!

I've been going to Acur It for years now and I appreciate their stellar customer service and workmanship. My car is no spring chicken but they keep it well maintained and are honest about any potential repairs. The loaner cars are a plus and help me out when the repair requires the car stay there. In the past I took my car to the Acura dealer only to see my car sit all day with no repair..not here. You drop your car off and they give you a pretty accurate timeframe as to when you might get it back.

These guys have been working on our Toyota Tercel for many years and we have always been impressed with the quality of work and knowledge. Ken and Stewart always go beyond the call of duty. Recently we had new shocks and struts put in, as well as some clutch work done. When we got the car back everything was as good as new. In addition, the passenger window, which hadn't fully rolled down in over 10 years now works! We did not ask for this to be looked at and were not charged for the labor, they also changed out a bunch of bad bulbs at no extra charge. The attention that they put towards a car to make sure everything is tip top is very impressive. I wish more business's had such high quality of service and care!!

Always great service!
Professional, efficient, really honest! They will tell you if you really need to have this or that fixed, once they even gave me directions to do it myself ^^ I was in a pretty bad situation with a car I should never have bought in the first place.. they were really helpful and understanding. I have taken my car there each time I needed something, even if just a checkup for a car that I bought recently.
You can count on a honest diagnostic, and they'll never take advantage of the fact that they know way more than you about your own car.. some shops do take an insane advantage of it, and I've been there too. Once you have found a good place, you should stick to it. One of the reasons I got another Honda was that I already knew where to take it =)

AVOID!!!!! pricey and tbh i don't think the guy was completely honest with me, he said he had to fix my starter to tell me what was wrong with the front end due to the fact that the car couldn't be started...im not convinced that with a little inspecting he couldn't have figured it out...anyways here i am 350 later 275 for the starter coil and 75 to tell me i needed strut mounts. what a crock of shit! i wouldn't have fixed the damned starter had i known it needs 1300 worth of suspension work...AVOID

Acur-it was recommended to me by someone in the auto repair business when the place I was taking my car let their ethics slide. He said they did great work and were really nice guys. I've only been there twice so far, but I'll be back. They've taken great care of my car, which has 238,000 miles on it. When I left recently, I almost wanted to get out to make sure I was driving my own car, because it felt like a new car, and that was after just a routine service! They're really nice guys, they use manufacturer parts and not after-market parts, it doesn't take too long to get in, which is great since I'm on the road a lot with a crazy schedule, and they don't try to talk me into services that don't need to be done. Even though they're 40 minutes away from me, I'll keep going back because it's so worth it to find people you can trust to do a good job, and who're so pleasant to do business with.

Honest car shop, that's the reason I keep coming back. I used to always have my oil changed at a different place and each time something came up that I had to replace or get charged ridiculous labor cost so I eventually ended up coming here after I exhausted every other option. I come here and know that I don't have to empty my wallet and I have the piece of mind that my car is worked on by professionals that know what they are doing because they are always willing to explain and show me what needs to be replaced and why. Never in the five years that I have been coming here have I had an issue and they are always happy to squeeze you in last minute for an appointment. Mitch in the front desk always treats me like a valued customer even if I am just coming for an oil change and I never feel like he is trying to sell me a new engine. This is why I am never taking my car anywhere else and happy to recommend family and friends.

Wow, these guys were awesome. My car broke down during a weekend seminar I was attending, away from home. Triple A recommended Acur-it because I happened to be in the vicinity. I called a tow truck, had it towed over and left my keys overnight in their drop box, while I found a hotel and anxiously awaited the morning.
I had no idea whether I could trust these guys and was pretty much at their mercy. Let me tell you, the minute I called they recognized my phone number (I had left it on the sheet with my keys) and they called me by name along with a boisterous hello and good humor. Really took the dent out of my apprehension. What a lovely bunch of people. They fixed my car in no time while I helped myself to an expresso in the waiting room and the bill was surprisingly affordable.
They were totally honest with me, really knew what they were doing, and just darn good people.
I honestly felt like a guardian angel had led me to them that day. Hallelujah!

I live in San Diego but have a daughter at Sonoma State who has an older Nissan Sentra. The engine light had come on and she took it in. It was late in the day and Mitch (who I believe is the owner) stayed after hours to help her. He did a quick diagnosis and found there was nothing wrong with the car. He reset the light and had her on her way. He didn't charge her anything.
Today my other college-aged daughter was in Rohnert Park, about to leave on a long trip. She took the car to Acur-It to have the tires and fluids checked. Mitch checked everything out, and charged her nothing.
Now that's customer service, with an emphasis on honesty. When the time comes for repairs or maintenance, I won't hesitate to send my daughter there.

I have used Acur-It ever since I bought my Integra over 7 years ago and have never been disappointed with them. Recently my parents bought a 2008 Honda Accord and they also go here now because they are knowledgeable, honest and have great customer service. Have a question about your Honda? They should be able to answer it. Trust worthy mechanics are hard to find so if you are looking for a Honda specialist...GO TO ACUR-IT AUTO!!

I have been a customer of Acur-it for my auto repairs and maintenance for about 15 years. They have seen me through past junkers and new/used cars, from a beater Toyota with 200k+ miles back in the'90's to now an '06 Prius, with stops in between at a Mazda, and a Saturn for 9 years. They have always been honest, specific about what is necessary and what is not, and reasonable on the rates. Most recently on my Prius, I had to take it into the dealer for a recall. They spent 2 hours replacing a single bolt and then going over the car with fine-tooth comb looking for every possible little thing that could be deemed repairable and gave me an estimate of over $1000 to fix it all! In a panic I went to Acur-it. One of the most glaring items was that the dealer has told me twice that I need to replace a water pump for $400+. But Acur-it has shown me that according to Toyota's own specs (downloaded image) on the pump my car is functioning weel within their safety guidelines and does not need this repair. They have also replaced a headlight for $30 under the dealer estimate and oil changes about $30 under what everyone else wants to charge for this car. They operate with integrity and concern for their customer and cars. Dealers seem to operate only for their own exorbitant profit. Go to Acur-it Auto Repair for peace-of mind and reasonable repair bills.

I went in today around 1:30 with the issue that my car wouldn't pass smog because the computer wasn't testing the car correctly. I had my car back by closing time (5:30), and felt the fee was more than reasonable, with a 10% discount for students. Hands down the nicest employees I've talked virtually ANYWHERE, not just car repair places. An added bonus was the cool waiting room with the nice Krugs coffee maker.

I went to Acur-It because I needed new front end brakes on my Toyota. They took care of me right away, showed me WHY I needed new brakes, took the time to educate me, used OEM parts (instead of cheaper, not as high quality after-market parts), and told and showed me what I'll need later - and what I don't need (that others had told me I do). They did what really needed to be done, in the way it needed to be done - and only that. I found them to be honest, VERY knowledgeable, professional and customer-service focused. Go to Acur-It - you won't do better!

These guys are hit and miss.
I went to them because I kept seeing their license plate frames on Honda's and Acura's in town. So I took my 2004 Acura TL to their shop to figure out why check engine light was going on at idle. They did a valve adjustment and could not find out the reason for the check engine light. It cost me $700 for a valve adjustment and for them to tell me they could not find out the reason. They wanted to pull off the head and inspect the valves but wanted to charge me an additional $1000 to do so. I ended up not having them pull the head. That was a disappointing experience with them. I would rate that as a 1 star rating due to the fact they could not diagnose the problem and still charged me an arm and a leg.
I inquired about changing the timing belt, water pump, cam seal and do a valve adjustment on a 1994 Honda Civic. They were asking $700 + to do the timing belt plus another $100 for the valve job. I ended up asking around, and got this same service done at Honda for $600. I would rate this experience a 3.
I recently gave them one last chance to earn my business and took my Honda to their shop to replace the rear trail arm bushings. They did a great job at this. I took the car in at 830 and I had it back by 1230. Their price was $300 less than the dealership on this service. I would rate this a 5 star for the price is resonable and the time it took them was great.
Like I said they are hit and miss. I will consider them only for non motor related services.

I just had my car repaired at Acur-it for the first time, and the experience was nothing less than wonderful. The staff was very friendly, and Laird who was working at the front desk took time to go over everything they were going to do to my car and made sure that I understood (I'm a girl... car stuff can go way over my head). I never felt like they were trying to trick me into paying more for stuff I didn't need. They even talked me out of a few things that I thought may need to be done! I was very pleased with the quality of work, the level of professionalism and the quick turnaround time. I will definitely bring my car here again in the future.

I was in California from out of town and my car was being sluggish when I went to start it in the mornings. It was making me nervous so I took it in to Acur It. Mitch and the rest of the staff I met were very friendly and helpful. They worked me into the schedule even though they were obviously very busy. It can be especially scary going to a car repair place when you're not from the area. Anyhow, they were terrific. They tested my battery and found it was fine. The issue was something else altogether and they were super honest and good folks and confirmed I'd probably be fine for my return trip back home. Thank you guys for your great customer service and the peace of mind - I appreciate it!!!

I was driving to LA for vacation with my daughter when my car began to sputter and lost a lot of power. I called Acur-it and the guy said they were booked solid today but to bring the car by and he'd take a look at it to see if it was something simple. I limped the car in and the guy behind the counter came out and checked a couple of things and determined that the spark plugs were the issue. Well, I can change spark plugs! So I thanked him, went down the auto parts store, bought new spark plugs and the car ran like a champ. Thank you for the quick advice which saved my vacation and some $$'s as I was able to do the work myself.
