Great service and great people! If you're looking for a reliable, HONEST mechanic, look no further.
Phil and his team are dependable and reliable, and I know that when I need to have my son's car or mine serviced, I'll be dealt with honestly and in a forthright manner.
My first repair experience with these fine folks was in December of last year when my son's car (purchased used/that he only had for 7 months) had to be serviced. Phil noticed an issue with the gasket cover/leaking and advised me that this is something that the dealer would handle as it was under warranty. He had even called the dealership and explained to them what was happening and advised me as what to do next/where to go
As a woman who is not well versed in the world of auto repair, I appreciated Phil's knowledge and help.
I wouldn't trust my vehicles to anyone else but Phil and his team at Made In America/Made In Japan!

I took my Acura Integra here for work back in May and I need to talk about the excellent work that Phil and his crew did for my car. I had some oil leaks that I was concerned about and I talked to Phil and went over. They eventually decided to change the gaskets on my oil pan and valve cover. They mentioned that I also need rear control arms ,a power steering pump , and gasket for my distributor. The price was more than I wanted to pay, but necessary and prudent maintenance work that needed to be done. I'm happy to say, my car is running great , no leaks, and it handles great. I'm so happy for their professional work done on my 16 year old car. The great thing about their business is that they suggest and will do only what is necessary to keep your car running safe and smoothly. They focus on the problem and solve it. For that, I'm grateful.

I took my car here because I saw good reviews online. First impressions were that it is very professional. I spoke with Phil and I went over what was wrong with my car. He was very upfront with the cost and time of repair. This was the first time I had to take my car in for repairs since I purchased it last year. Needless to say I didn't really know the whole process with the extended warranty I purchased.
The reason I am giving this place 5 stars is because Phil offered to look at my contract and do the leg work of calling the dealership of where I bought it and negotiating coverage. After just a couple hours Phil calls me saying that he got most of the labor and the part covered by my warranty. He didn't have to do that. But I'm grateful he did because after all was said and done I paid under 20 for the labor and part. All in All they took care of my car and my wallet. I highly recommend them for any auto repairs you may have.

Just brilliant!!!!! My VW Gti had a somewhat common issue according to the forums on line and also said common fault is said to be commonly misdiagnosed by dealers and private shops alike. The forums often had stories of owners paying upwards of $3k for a $1500'ish repair.
How did Phil and his team do?
Phil's team nailed the issue first time and even listened to me explain the symptoms, most shops just look through you and nod their heads while you talk. Not these guys. They came in at just over $1500 and went over the whole car just "to look" and found I needed a brake fluid flush.
Highly highly recommend these guys, oh and Daisy too!

Phil was the best!! I called because my multi-function display unit in my Prius was on the fritz. He said they could replace it and ordered the part. The same day, I heard back from a company that can repair them at a fraction of the cost. Phil happily cancelled the order, and refunded my deposit. I truly appreciate his understanding about me not wanting to spend $1000 more than I needed to. And he also learned about a service he can recommend to other customers in the same predicament. It's obvious these guys have ethics and are not just out to screw people to make a buck.

I thought this place was absolutley awesome! I own an older 95 lexus LS400, and can sense the slightest difference in performance with my car. Some would think its a curse, but i think its a blessing ;).
I made the mistake of not having a certified pro fix my car, which led to my now old mechanic basically trying to convince me to sell my car immediatley because it was a "ticking bomb". But after letting these guys look over my car, they not only fixed all the wrongs the previous mechanic did, but explained what had happened, and how. They even made the car run back to specs, if not better.
All of this on my very first, very short notice visit to their shop!... if only you knew how many attempts and trips it took to try and explain all of my symptoms to the old mechanic!.. this was definetly a 100% opposite, positive experience.
I would recommend this place to anyone, simply because they proved themselves with their genuine, honest, and professional personalities, and with their obvious extensive knowledge of my car. It was worth every penny, and I am very greatful. I will definetly be back. Thanks guys!

Today is a sad day. It is the last time my truck will be visiting Phil and his crew. I will be moving soon and wanted to make sure the truck was good for a long distance drive in the snow. The crew at this shop have always been completely professional and done top notch work. If I were to make a list of things I will miss most about Sacramento, this shop would make definitely be on it.

Once again, the talented team at Made in America Made in Japan delivered top-notch service with a smile and got my car back to peak operating performance. After several return visits to an unnamed auto care establishment (rhymes with "irestone"), who were unable to eliminate the constant squealing from my front brakes (telling me that "they're ceramic brakes so they're supposed to squeak for the first month or so"), I decided enough was enough and it was time to bring my car to Made in America Made in Japan.
And I'm so glad I did - it turns out there was a service bulletin out for my car explaining that specific new rotors, calipers and brake pads were required to address this awful, ear-splitting squeaking noise that was emanating from my car (definitely not just "squeaky ceramic brake pads.") While it's never fun to find out one has to pay several hundred dollars for repair work, I actually felt relieved when Brian told me what needed to be done, as I knew that my car would be repaired correctly the first time and all problems would be addressed.
And they were. Brian and the entire team at Made in America Made in Japan hit a home run yet again, and they've earned all of my business going forward. No more visiting big-name chains for brake service or oil changes - my car is only going to one place and one place only going forward.
Thank you very much.

I've been taking my 10 year old Acura and a 10 year old Ford expedition to this shop for a number of years now. The staff have always been upfront and honest with me. They've been very good at telling me which repair recommendations are "essential" and which are things that I could safely put off without causing me a big expense down the line. I'm not very mechanical, but they are patient while explaining what is going on with my car in terms I can understand. Even my suspicious husband is impressed and is confident that I get a fair deal at this repair shop.

Took my truck here because the check engine light was on and I needed that fixed before I could take it to a test center to pass smog. I had run into this same issue before and taken it to someone else who had misdiagnosed the problem as an oxygen sensor. These guys found the real problem--a bad gasket--and fixed it the same day. I liked the fact that they contacted me afterwards to make sure I was satisfied with the repair.

I tried this place out because it is on my way to work. What was my problem? My check engine light came on. OK. I also need an oil change. Let's do this guys. We can do this.
What did they do? First drop-off: Code-reading machine number one cannot read a code on a Toyota Corolla. Second drop-off: Code-reading machine number two cannot read a code on a Toyota Corolla. Third drop-off. Code-reading machine number three cannot read a code on a Toyota Corolla. Therefore, I must have a bad computer in my Corolla.
$120.00. They did not even bother to offer a refund. True story. Will not return.

Just wanted to post an update. The original A/C has been fixed, but unfortunately today my father's Totoya has a new issue that may involve a recall. Brian at the shop is actually the one who made us aware of this recall ahd he is contacting Toyota to find out if the recall has been done to this car! Thanks Brian for going the extra mile!

I've been meaning to write this review for a long time because this shop deserves it, so today when I read a couple of unfavorable reviews I was compelled to finally pull the trigger.
I took my truck to these guys a few years ago for a 90K mile maintenance. I'm not an idiot so I know what is involved and I know what a fair price is and I was not disappointed.
The experience was an A+. So much so that I have recommended them to friends who don't know anything about cars.
The last friend I sent over there came away from the experience a little more educated and a lot happy. She thanked me for the recommendation and she'll be a repeat customer. As will I.
Since that time I've taken my car to another shop, not because I wanted to, but because my other half has a family friend who owns a shop, where I was persuaded into thinking I'd be getting good work for the family/friend price. I've been kicking myself ever since. Not only have I been unhappy with the work, but I have no recourse because of the whole dynamic. Just thinking about it makes me mad.
Bottom line is, I can't wait for the next time I get to take my truck to Made in America/Made in Japan on I St. again, where I know I'll be happy with the work, I can live with the price, and as the owner told me the last time I left - I'll be good to go another 90K miles!

I've been meaning to write THIS review too...
I took my Infiniti J30 here on like 3 or 4 separate occasions a couple of years ago. This shop was fine then. I felt confided reccommending their services and I felt confident taking my vehicle back there. I knew they were pricing me fairly. My then-boyfriend even had the tranny on his civic replaced there because they were so honest. I also thought it was really cool that they were honest with a young woman. I never felt like I was being taken advantage of.
HOWEVER, about a year ago, I took my Isuzu Trooper here when the engine was clicking (dried up, out of oil, needed a new motor). I didn't know what was wrong with it when I first took it in. They told me it was going to be $2XX to take it apart to look at the oil pan. I hesitantly agreed to move forward with the inspection.
The next morning they called back and said "our mistake, the motor's so large it has 2 oil pans. a top oil pan and a bottom oil pan. we need to take the bottom oil pan apart and it's $8XX." I told them not to bother with that and that they must be smokin'. After I said I wasn't going to pay for that because it's too expensive, he then offered to just drain the oil to see if there were metal shards in it that may have come through the engine. That would be a definitive way of knowing if we were going to need a new motor. The price? $32.
Screw this place. They ARE SHADY! They're swindlers. OR they like to play people a little and see how much they can get away with. By the way- the $32 job DID, in fact, give me the answer I needed. Why wouldn't they just start by doing that? Because they're a completely shady operation. Needless to say, I towed it to another shop to make the repair.
Don't go here unless you already know what's wrong with your car or what exactly you want done. I will never go here again. And that's really sad because I actually used recommend them and say that I wouldn't go anywhere else... lame.

Last spring, I had a problem with my car. The fan wasn't turning off when I turned the car off. Because my Jeep dealership had closed a year or so earlier, I took the car to Made in Japan Made in America which is very close to my office. I dealt with Brian and he seemed very knowledgeable. They ended replacing the radiator fan relay. I also paid for a service that was supposed to include them checking the all the light bulbs. A short time later I discovered I had a tail light out that they had missed. It seems they didn't check the lights after all because they were too busy with the relay repair. They replaced the light bulbs for me for free to make it up to me.
A few weeks later, my check engine light came on. I again took the car to Made in Japan Made in America. Brian advised me that the computer check they ran was returning a code that indicated I had a fume leak somewhere. He stated the mechanic had checked everything and had discovered that a sensor on my gas tank was probably faulty. He told me that because the sensor was permanently mounted to the top of the gas tank, I would need to replace the whole gas tank. It was a pricey repair. I had to pay for the gas tank in advance, not refundable, because they had to have it shipped.
About a month after they replaced the gas tank, my check engine light came on again. One morning on my way to work, I was driving on the freeway and was right in front of the new Jeep dealership which had just opened. I suddenly got a dashboard warning that I had no oil pressure, and my oil gauge dropped to zero. I quickly did a U-turn and went back to the Jeep dealership.
What the Jeep dealership found was that the new relay had been installed improperly. Only one of the relay retaining screws had been installed which caused the relay to not be fully seated against the body. The Jeep dealership also found exposed wires. Consequently, the relay was failing, causing the other dashboard warnings to come on. There was nothing wrong with the engine or the oil pressure. Those warnings were coming on because of the improperly installed, now faulty, relay. They had to replace the relay again.
I now question whether I needed a new gas tank at all. I can't help but believe that the reason the check engine light came on was because they had installed the relay improperly. I now believe I bought a new gas tank that I didn't need to buy.
I am not at all happy with this company, and will never take my car back there.

Brian is a first-rate service writer. He was honest, forthright, and never tried to sell me anything I didn't need. In fact, quite the opposite: His strategy is to save the customer money without compromising needed services, and to apprise the customer of options where there are some. As a first-time customer, I am already impressed. To press the point a bit: my issue had to do with air conditioning. These are systems on most cars that offer repair shops opportunities to milk the hell out of customers who don't know any better (particularly in July and August around here!). Brian insisted that the diagnostic phase would reveal most of what we needed, but perhaps not all, and that he would call to discuss before proceeding. As it turned out, the solution to my issue was surprisingly simple, and did NOT warrant a bunch of expensive diagnostics and remediation. They simply fixed the issue, advised me what we needed to do next to ensure that we'd made the right choices, and recommended some upcoming maintenance that could turn out to be important depending on future tests. THAT, my fellow vehicle-dependent citizens, is the MODEL of an honest repair shop. For my money, I have found my "guys" for the maintenance of my Toyota 4 Runner. In a crap-shoot industry (for the customer), MIA-MIJ is the kind of honest-broker that will continue to be successful because they're competent and honest.

I read yelp reviews on the AWESOME REVIEWS for Made in America/Made in Japan so I promptly printed out 25% off coupon for service I found online. Unfortunately the amazing reviews were for the freakin one in Arden (different city). My dumbass didn't realize it until I got home.
Well there was a bit of a grinding noise so I took my car to get my brake pads and rotors to get changed out. Dropped off my car in the morning with a mechanic named Brian and walked to work thinking that it should be only about 300-500 MAX and that it was ready to go when I finished with my day.
I get a call about 2 hours later from Brian saying that the rotor and the brake pads are severely worn down and that I need to change them (duh). I asked for a price quote but then he cuts me off to mention that my lug nuts can not be tighten by hand and only by air gun and suggests I change all of my lug nuts out at 15 dollars a piece. And he recommended I change all of them. So, he quotes $2,000. yep you read that right, TWO THOUSAND. My 1990 car is worth about 2k. Are you freakin kidding me.
So I asked how much it was to replace the severely worn down ones in the front 2 only, $700. I asked what the costs of rotors and brake pads were and he quoted that they were approx 80-90 and 50-60 dollars each.
Basically let me break it down,
1 set of brake pads - $50- 60
2 rotor - $160 - 180
Cost of overpriced parts? $210 - $240
Labor for 30 minute job? ~$500
They charge more than ER doctors in Beverly Hills.
Oh and even after I refused service, I got a nice $60 bill for the "brake diagnosis". BUT i had a coupon for 25% off service so it was only $45. Do not go here. Ever.

When I first went in with my girlfriend, I was blown away with how nice and helpful they were, thinking "I think I would rather take my car here then my usual shop". Little did I know what was going to happen upon the pickup...
1. They wanted to charge $600 for a 4 wheel brake job... $600? pads are 40 each, and I doubt that the rotors needed to be resurfaced.. even with max charge... $600??? when the dealership is 250 less, you tell me thats not a rip off
2. They charged $200 to FIX an electronic key which costs $110 to replace completely, after quoting over the phone that a NEW key would be $400... once again a brand NEW key from the dealer would have been $110... you tell me thats not a rip off
3. After OPENLY belittling my girlfriend's mother and misconstruing her words to make her sound like she was stupid, and literally quoting "This is how business works," Gary KICKED ME OUT of the shop. (I am a man) Why you ask? because he could tell I knew what I was talking about and was trying to single out the gf's mom because she is a woman, and "didnt know any better"... you tell me thats not RIDICULOUS
4. After noticing our obvious discontent in the overall business taking place, he retracted his offer to lower the price through lowering his warranty because he could tell we wouldnt be coming back to do business with him again. "I'm not going to give you $100 off to never see you again, no thanks"-Gary of MIA/MIJ...
This guy is VERY rude when confronted for the blatant over charge and misrepresentation of their business and services. My family, my gilfriend's family, all of my friends and her friends will be taking our business elsewhere, AND we will be contacting the BBB.

This is a follow up to a review I posted earlier regarding a broken shifter cable diagnosis. On 06/24/13, Phillip, the owner, called my cell phone directly to follow up on the bad review that I posted. He was most concerned with my assessment of his shop being dishonest. He told me that he wished he would have read my review sooner, so that he could have done something about it (such as refunding my diagnosis fee). He indicated that he's been looking at yelp reviews more frequently and trying to follow up on them, because he realizes the potential impact it could have on his business. Specific to the shifter cable diagnosis, Phillip offered several justifications that he may not have been aware of: an incompetent tech, possibly the wrong part was looked up, or the dealer selling only the entire shifter assembly instead of the aftermarket (non-warrantee) part that I purchased. He indicated that he would be irate at his staff if a dishonest quote had actually occurred.
I explained my position to Phil, indicating that I understand they couldn't have done the repair for the mere $20 I spent on the part - as a business owner I understand all about overhead. However, I still felt that the quote was way too high for the work that needed to be performed.
I am upgrading my rating not because of the work that was performed, but for the effort that Phil put forth as a business owner. It is the first time I receive a follow up on one of my yelp reviews, and it's nice to see a business owner take pride in his operation and try to reach out to his customers and make the situation right. After our phone call, I stopped by the shop to shake Phil's hand so that he knew there are no hard feelings. My intent was not to cause unnecessary harm to his business, but rather give my full and honest review of the incident. Phil offered a "hook up" (he did not specify what that means) if I'm ever having a problem with my car again and I choose to bring it in. If he's able to give me a discount diagnosis, I may bring my car in for an A/C diagnosis to give them another chance at gaining my business. In the meantime, Phil's efforts to reach out have gone a long way towards putting some of my faith back into repair shops.

I took my car here one day because i needed a tire rotation and it was close to where i live. I unfortunately did not read the Yelp reviews before i came.
While i was there i asked them to look at my brakes because i felt a pulsing sensation when i travel down steep inclines. I suggested it may be warped rotors because that is what i read may be the cause.
After a few hours waiting they told me the rotors were warped and the cause was some braking instrument that was getting to hot. They recommended replacing the rotors along with the pads because they were worn and a complete clean of the braking system. They had quoted me $600 for the fix. I paid them $50 for the tire rotation and decided to get a second opinion.
I took my vehicle to two more places and both said my brakes looked fine and the pulsation was because i have bigger tires, (which is true). Also, the car did not drive straight after the tire rotation because they were rotated in the wrong direction.
A few days after i had left i realized they had placed license plate covers advertising there name on both the front and back, without even asking me. This really upset me and compelled me to write this review.
I would not recommend this place to anybody looking for a car repair.

I took my car here yesterday on the recommendation of a coworker. I dealt with Brian and I was very impressed! My 2000 Toyota Corolla had been having a strong smell of exhaust inside the car and I was worried it was something serious (and expensive) and I'd have to junk the car. An hour or so after I dropped it off, Brian called and said the exhaust smell was due to the oil cap having been left off and oil was sloshing all over the engine (OMG! WTF! Whoops!) Thank god it was an easy fix. The car also needed a new battery (which I suspected) and it also needed an oil change. They cleaned the oil up, did the oil change and replaced the battery for $251 out the door.
They also did a 47 (or 49?) point standard inspection and found about 6 other things which are not dire but need to be taken care of. Brian ranked them by matter of importance for me and gave me the cost for each. So now I can plan ahead to get those taken care of.
I have no complaints about the customer service and technical work of this shop! I'll be back and will recommend this place to others!
By the way, YELP, I notice that you filtered almost all the highly positive reviews of this shop and the non-filtered reviews are mostly the negative ones. That's really dishonest and that sort of thing is the reason Yelp is not trusted much anymore. Nearly all this place's reviews on google are positive, which I think is far more representational than Yelp.

I considered writing a bad review on yelp many months ago. My car was repaired for a lot more money than I expected and it was poor workmanship and parts left in my car that belonged to the shop (that I had to return). The old saying if you have nothing good to say, don't say it. ..so i didn't.... But today I just received an invitation from this location of Made in Japan and it invited to "help them with yelp". I decided I MUST be honest. I rely on yelp for all of my decisions whether it be restaurants or auto service or any other service". So, ask, and ye shall receive. I think the problem starts at the top at this location..owner(s)...and down to the mechanics.. I love the location..very convenient for state workers but buyer beware..not worth the convenience.

Hey - jackholes - STOP E-MAILING ME YOUR ADVERTISEMENTS! You have been sending me e-mails for 1 year. I have "unsubscribed" 3 times now. I actually forget all about my bad experience at your shop until I see those e-mails. Then it's fresh on my mind and I start complaining about it to anyone who will listen. So what I'm saying, is that if you're leaving me on your mailing list to antagonize me, you can stop. Because every time I see them I discourage more people from going to your shop. And I work near the capitol, so these people I speak of are genuinely potential clients.

After my husband had a great experience with the Made in Japan guys and his Toyota, I took my Saturn to them. My car is 10 years old and has NEVER been to any shop other than the dealer. Ha -- there are no Saturn dealers anymore, so I was taking it to John L. Sullivan Chevrolet in Roseville, who took over Saturn repairs. They are the worst place ever and completely messed up my alignment by just putting new tires ($450 worth) on my car. Negative review for JLS already posted.
Gary at Made in Japan/Made in America, spent the day with my Saturn, rotated the tires and found another problem caused by the JLS people. They fixed everything, road tested the car twice -- which JLS had not bothered to do, and did a safety inspection. I was waiting to hear that I needed a break job, but Gary said the breaks were fine and my baby was in great shape.
I am so happy to have found someone downtown that is honest and a true pleasure to deal with. I would highly recommend them to all car owners.

I went in for a brake inspection. I was told that my infinity g35 front brakes were at a 4mm and my rear were at 2mm. I told them to change the rear since they told me that 2mm was below manufacture specs. About an hour later I received a call asking were my wheel lock was , so they could remove my wheels. I immediately went to the shop to inquire how they could give me such a technical report of 2mm and 4 mm without ever taking my wheels off? These guys are Shady to me.

A couple of years ago I came in with a coupon for a free "check engine" light inspection. They pulled the code that said it was a catalytic converter problem and they said that that was all the coupon would cover, they said it would be $110 to further diagnose because the free check didn't cover any more. So I stupidly agreed to that and they said it was a faulty O2 sensor and that I had to replace the whole catalytic converter which would be $1400.
I asked why they couldn't just replace the O2 sensor and they said that they won't do that because they couldn't guarantee the work.
I later found out at a different auto repair place that the code they pulled said it was a faulty O2 sensor and they didn't charge me anything for it because it took literally 2 minutes to pull the code I got duped and paid Made In America/Made in Japan $110 for a service they they said they would do for free with a coupon but lied to me and said they had to do more diagnosis.
The other auto shop replaced the O2 sensor for $240 bucks compared to the $1400 made in America/Made in Japan was going to charge to replace the whole catalytic converter that didn't need to be replaced.
They defiantly tried to scam me at Made in America/Made in Japan and what makes it worse, they replaced my quality metal license plate covers with their cheep plastic advertisement covers WITHOUT ASKING!!! I noticed that other reviewers had this same issue.
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND Made in America/Made in Japan TO ANYONE!!

Four reasons not to go here:
1. The owner is disrepectful
2. A two day job takes four, with no calls for updates
3. They were drinking on the job when I picked my car up.
4. My car overheated a day later, nice job fixing the cooling system...
UPDATE:
The owner contacted me about this post, but I didn't respond due to another yelper's review (thanks Adrianne). I can however provide some more details if needed...
The alcohol was just beer and it was Corona. It was towards the end of the day and I can understand wanting to have a cold one to relax. However, I don't appreciate being ignored for phone calls and beer when you're supposed to be helping someone who pays your bills. The guys drinking it were both stocky, one was Latin and the other was white. The white guy looked like Jason from the tv show "Ghost Hunters," or Michael Chiklis on "The Shield." After paying too much for a job that took too long, I also had to ask the white guy to help me get my car out of that mess of cars in front of the place, which he did. So technically I can add driving under the influence.
The incident wasn't recent, around a year ago, so the owner can say they don't work there anymore. The owner can say my review is "patently false" because I don't want to respond to him, but the truth is I just don't forget something like this. It obviously made a large enough impression that a year later I still felt like I had to get on yelp to whine about it and warn others. My suggestion is for them to spend a little more time doing a good job and helping the customer, and a little less time hounding people on yelp and attaching "Made in America/Japan" license plate covers on every car that comes in.
ps. The one positive thing about this whole experience is that I no longer need to use mechanics at all. The internet and a Chiltons manual have shown me how easy car repair actually is.

This shop is as good as it gets. I have taken my car in here multiple times and every time it has been take care of well, finished in a short amount of time, and returned fixed. There was one unfavorable thing that happened, where a part they put in a few months before broke, but it was under warranty and they replaced it for free. I've heard of mechanics taking advantage of situations like this before and still charging their customers, so I was impressed with the service. Their service has always been good as well. I would always guarantee their service.

In terms of service and overall work, these guys are some of the best in Sacramento. I have been to 4 or 5 different shops, and they are the only place that I've never had problems with. Adrianne is a right in that they are priced a bit higher than other shops, but if you want your car fixed properly and on time, I wouldn't recommend anyone else.

My advice, never go there.
There's an old saying, "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." I feel like the biggest idiot in the world for having gone back more than once... I'm a sucker for coupons.
I used to work next to this place so I bring my car here on occasion. They are nice people but I've never been happy with the result and it's always significantly more expensive than any other quotes. On some occasions quoted price were very different than final price.
I swear, I wanted to report them on more than one occasion. Do yourself a favor, go anywhere else and put the extra money away for your kid's college.

I've never had such an easy experience taking my car into the shop! The initial diagnostic was free, and when I told them I wanted to wait to get a repair, I was not pressured into getting it from them. After I shopped around, I wound up going back to Made in Japan because the price was right, and the customer service was beyond excellent. There was no runaround, and I didn't feel like I was being cheated out of my money like I have at other places. My only complaint is a lack of magazines or tv. I'll always take my car here for major repairs.

Hands down the best auto shop and ASE certified technicians in the Sacramento area. They are professional, considerate of your time, communicative, reasonably priced for the (high) quality of work you're getting, thorough, and honest. Phil takes the time to go through all of the recommended repairs with me until I am satisfied that I understand what they're for and why they're important, and he doesn't push the issue if I decline a recommendation. My 1997 Toyota Corolla just successfully made the trek from coast to coast with two people and a whole lot of luggage, because Phil and his technicians fixed my AC system and oil leak. If I ever move back to Sacramento, Made in America Made in Japan is the only auto shop I'll use.

I called this business today because I needed to replace the Power Brake Valve Module and battery on my minivan. A guy named Phil answered the phone and as soon as he heard my accent, he hung up on me. I called 5 times right after and every time he would pickup and hung up immediately. Finally, I got a lady on the phone, so I told her I wanted to get a quote for the job I needed done and I also wanted to report Phil for the way he treated me. Well, she transferred me back to Phil, so I confronted him with the way he was behaving and requested to speak to his manager, so he said he is the owner and I could not talk to anybody else. Needless to say I am taking my business elsewhere, not before letting him know that is not the way to conduct a business.

Excellent time management
Everyone was very friendly, which makes everything that much better. You were able to complete the smog test in an hour, instead of the half day you asked in your coupon. Excellent time management.
