Brought my civic in today at 8am for an exhaust rattle. Jerry pulled the car in and identified the problem very fast. He called me with the fix and expecting to wait atleast a few hours, they had my car done by 930!!! They are awesome! Thanks again guys I will be back

I went in for a smog check today and I was in and out in less than 30 mins. The lady who was at the front desk was very nice. The price was one of the lowest compared to other local shops. I would definitely go back to these guys.

Had a minor repair done on my exhaust header for my Harley. First of all, the woman behind the counter was extremely friendly and made you feel at home there. I don't know if it was the owner, but he immediately fixed my problem I will then a cracked bracket and had me out of there within five minutes. he understood that I needed to leave the next day for a trip on my bike. I have not had any other dealings with this shop, but based on my experience I would highly recommend it.

Brought my car in today to get a new exhaust installed. Everyone was great! I brought the car in the morning, and Jerry told me he was backed up with cars today. I was pleasantly surprised when I got a call the same afternoon telling me everything was ready. If that's how they work when backed up, I can only imagine how quick things go on a slow day, haha.
The price was right, Jerry was a fun guy to talk to, the work was excellent, and I left a happy customer. I'm definitely going to be getting my h pipe from here!

The bottom line is that these guys are awesome. I brought my car in because there was some rattling underneath it. They could have easily charged me a couple of hundred dollars to repair it and I would not have known the difference. They were totally honest and more than fair. They charged me nothing to put it up on the rack and give me a quote. And only $20 to weld a broken heat shield. This is the second time that I've used them. The first time was for a catalytic converter and they were more than fair on that so I returned for this repair. It's hard to find shops like this nowadays. I'll be back for any repairs I need in the future and will certainly direct all my friends and family here.

I arrived on time and was helped in a courteous fashion.
Had a nice visit while my car was being tested.
Passed smog, paid a fair price, got the paperwork and I was on my way.

This was my first visit to this place and I was impressed.
I brought my truck in for a smog and they told me it would take about 45 minutes. It ended up taking a little over an hour, so they knocked $10 off the already reasonable price. The staff was very helpful and courteous. During the time I was waiting I was able to observe the staff and who I think might be the owner, or at least some sort of manager and I was very impressed with the way she handled the other customers in the shop and on the phone. She seemed to run the place the way a local small business should be run - very nice, reasonable, not trying to screw you or charge you for work that you don't need. The facility was fine. The transaction was quick and painless. I wish everything was this quick and easy, and will definitely be back the next time one of my vehicles needs anything.

I had a great experience with them. Everyone was friendly and respectful. The check engine light was on so I had to get that checked out before I could smog for DMV. I called and made an appointment, had me in within the week, turns out the catalytic converter needed to be replaced. They diagnosed and replaced the part faster then the amount of time they suggested it would take. Best part is it cost me a few hundred dollars less than what my research and their estimated price was.

Love this place! I stopped in since it's close to my work to give them a try just for an oil change. While servicing my car, they found a leak and fixed it for just the cost of the part ... about $4. Definitely won my service after that! I then took my car in for a battery problem. They asked if it was still under warranty, which I had no clue and told them just to replace it because there's no way I'd be able to find out. Well they found out that it wasn't only still warrantied, it didn't cost me anything for a new one!

First visit to Brentwood Muffler, can't have been any better experience. Simple is easy though.
Called at 11:50am to inquire about a smog appt, was told to bring in vehicle at 1pm. Showed up 5 minutes early, dropped off the car, was told it would be about a half an hour, but let them know I would leave it for a few hours before I returned. Came back at 2:45pm, ready to go. Car is well maintained and passes smog easily, so I had no expectation of it turning out any other way. I would have been highly suspicious of any other outcome.
Based on this first experience, I'll come back again. Thanks for taking care of my car!

They are such a nice shop! a few weeks ago, I was hearing a noise which I thought was associated to a hole in the muffler. The mechanic took at look at it that same day...and I don't think they were honestly going to charge me for that. Well they seemed to find another issue not related to the muffler and they fixed that for me (of course I paid for the repair)
I was really impressed with the fact that i wanted someone to check something out and not be charged every single time that I ask someone which usually is the case for me ALWAYS! This is my second visit here first time was for a hole in some exhaust thingy..

Dropped off both of our cars here yesterday for the smog testing. It was $45 + $8.75 for the certificate. They told us it would be 30 mins per car so we walked around and found a great new local place to eat. They were prompt, courteous and even fixed a muffler problem that my husband had made an appt for the following day at no additonal charge. They gave us receipts and the certs and then called us 10-15mins later to say that we had accidentally received the originals and needed to bring them back. Other than the inconvenience of having to drive all the way back there I thought it was a great place to do business with.

Ok--I need to revise my review. I wrote the last review when I was really angry and I should be more fair.
I brought my leaky car to several other shops and each shop diagnosed a different problem. According to two of three shops there is nothing visibly wrong with the transmission coolant hoses...there was a problem with a fitting that was leaking. I brought my car back to Brentwood muffler, because the radiator was still under warranty and they fixed it right away. They were very apologetic and gave me two free oil changes to make it up to me. They really seemed sorry that they didn't catch it and that I had a transmission disaster.
As for all the other alleged problems they found, I don't doubt that I could stand to replace a few cables and such--but it is an old car. The various other shops have pointed out other problems here and there and I appreciate them letting me know what they have found. It is their job to sell auto repair services...I can't blame them for doing their job.
So, in the light of day, a few weeks later with a less broken-down car, I would say that Brentwood Muffler has very nice, courteous people, they complete their work quickly and have the most reasonable prices in town. They are not perfect, but they stand behind their work if there is a problem--and I appreciate that. They have integrity. They are just not as good or as thorough as my old mechanic--who is my dad.

Muffler,bad and rusty, pipe broke loose on the way out of town. Called Oakley Muffler and Brakes and spoke to Javier. He was able to get me in right after lunch. I was quite impressed by the professionalism and speediness in their service. In and out of there in an hour and even had a nice little tip put on. Great prices for the labor these gentlemen do. I WILL BE GOING BACK !! My truck has lots of work to be done on it and NOW I have found my place!!!

Took a while to find someone to help me when I first got there. They told me my car would be looked at within an hour and I'd receive a call. It turned into 4 hours until I heard from them. The phone call was split into several calls because my questions had to be answered by mechanics, not the receptionist. I felt rushed on the phone. After diagnosing the problem, it cost $45 which was reasonable.

Jerry took great care of me. I installed a slip on muffler delete pipe a few years back. With only two U bolts the pipe held pretty good, until I heard it scraping across the pavement after leaving work.
I took it into Jerry and he welded the pipe in place for $45! Can't beat that ... great weld job and had me in and out within an hour. Would definitely recommend this shop to anyone needing exhaust repairs.

My vehicle problem was discovered Friday driving home from work. Typically car problems are not planned, and I was grateful that this place was open on a Saturday. There are not many places open on Saturday in the area.
Regardless, I called up and described my car issue. I was told they could take a look at it. There were no guarantees it could be fixed that day, but they certainly would try. Try they did...my car got fixed,and I'm off to commuting once again.
Courteous, efficient, and quick. No not cheap...but no mechanics are.

Great guys. Jim was extremely helpful when I took my motor home in. We were leaving town for SoCal and he quickly put us on the road with a temp repair to our genset muffler that was leaking. Since gensets are not something they normally do, I was very happy. Ordered a new muffler and returned for an install two weeks later and again was taken care of immediately. They have my business.

I have to say I had the best service here. Coming from a mechanics daughter (dad is to old to do the work anymore) who never had to take my vehicles anywhere else this is really hard for me as alot of places take advantage of a women not knowing what we are talking about. They did not try to sell me stuff that may go bad in the future they were a matter of fact and left the decisions up to me. When I showed my dad the invoice he said "You should take all your work to them they did you right" Customer service was awesome!! Thank you very much Brentwood Muffler you have a new customer in me!!

Stuck to the quoted price but told me they should have charged me more! Then told me to not tell anyone where I had the work done there, when I got my ride home I could see why! The welds on the pipes looked like peanut butter, was some of the worst workmanship I have ever seen. They will never get anymore of my business on any of my 5 cars/trucks and all my business now goes to Oakley Muffler and Brake down the street.

Jerry is very knowledgeable and has been VERY helpful with information to help me decide on how to mod my new 2015 V6 Mustang convertible's exhaust to get a deeper sound w/o the rasp and drone that is common for modified V6's. Going with the Magnaflow 11365 mufflers and 35136 tips. Thanks Jerry. I'll update after I get the parts and they do the install.
