While staying in Arnold, one day our vehicle wouldn't start in Murphys. We got a jump from AAA and limped back to Arnold. On the way I called Arnold Automotive to see if we could drop it off since it was near to closing time. He said he would wait for us and greeted us like old customers, said he would look at it that evening, and get back to us in the morning. At 9:30 the next morning we received a call saying our truck was ready -- despite the lateness of the hour, no appointment and a full shop.

Recently while driving through Arnold, a bear ran right in front of my car and was hit by my front bumper. The shield under my car was torn loose and was dragging on the road. I was only able to drive far enough to get to Arnold Automotive. The people at Arnold Automotive very nicely removed the shield and refused to let me pay them for their services. I was back on the road and got back to work on time. These are very good people with good small town values. Please send lots of good karma their way!

This place was great - we were out of town for a long weekend and a problem developed in the car's cooling system. The car needed a repair over Easter weekend, and Tom ordered the part and installed/tested it on his day-off! Tom and his wife were super nice and incredibly helpful - they treated us like favorite long-time customers even though it was our first time in his shop. I wish I had this excellent service in my home town of Santa Cruz!

I had my 70' Pontiac GTO lose its left control arm. Had it towed to Tom and he had it replaced by the next day including overnighting the part. Appreciate the quick help and honest insight into what needs to be repaired down the road.

My husband & I had to have our truck towed from Calaveras (we were on our way to a campground). Tom, the mechanic was able to detect the problem immediately. Since this was late afternoon he said he should be able to repair it the next morning. Luckily the part was available at a local parts shop. We
showed up after spending the night at a local lodge & we were on our way by 10am!

I have gone here to replace my brake pads and rotors and more recently to replace my u joints on my truck. I get parts tax free from oreilly because my dad has an account with them but as I live far away so he cannot work on my vehicle for me very often. So I can bring the parts and just pay for labor. They don't try to tell me that I need to get this or that fixed like many other auto shops I have dealt with. I can walk to my work if absolutely necessary and the woman at the front desk has even offered to drive me to work so I could leave my truck there and pick it up when I got off. They are friendly people and all in all great service!

Shop Local....why shouldn't we? When you have someone like Tom Weaver who goes the extra mile to make sure your vehicle is in good shape to get you where you are going. Arnold Automotive has a clean facility, excellent customer service and an easy to find location.

Tom has done work on my cars for years. He is a truly honest mechanic that won't steer you wrong. He is fair and trustworthy along with being very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend him as a mechanic.
