I brought my out of state car here for a SMOG inspection and had a very positive experience. My reason for coming to this shop is because a SMOG for my car is $42 here. I still can't understand why some people will pay more than $50 for a SMOG check. It's just plain stupid. I've heard some people don't like the owner of this shop, but I came on the weekend and a technician named Mark was really friendly and we carried on a good conversation during my whole inspection. He was working on the weekend, so maybe if people don't like the other guy that works here, coming on the weekend and getting Mark to do the SMOG check may be a good idea. I passed, which is always nice. I trust Mark to give me an honest, good, SMOG check for an unbeatable price.

Now called Northbay Automotive. Very creepy place. Guy said would take 2 hours for smog & oil change. Needed me to tell him what type of oil & heard him asking someone to come in to do the oil change. Then said smog machine was a piece of crap and wasn't working. He did give me a good recommendation for 1024 Santa Rosa Avenue Smog test shop.
