OUTSTANDING SERVICE at a fair price.
Everyone must have a good mechanic.
Guillermo and his staff definitely serve this need. Brought in my '98 Honda Accord (yeah the one your teenage son is embarrassed to be seen in) for major transmission repair. Guillermo was fair, honest gave me the run-down on what was needed. This kind of old school treatment is refreshing. I will Rx my friends & family. As for my son, his aunt gave him a car he's just not driving it.....yet!
MASSIVE RE-SPECT GUILLERMO!!

Awesome Service and very quick work. They told me exactly what was wrong and didn't try selling anything that was unnecessary. Best of all, my car was finished the same day and it runs as good as new! I'll definitely be using them again.

Family owned and ran business that gets the job done right and on time. No upselling or BS. They tell you what's wrong with the car and that's that. Been going to them for years and would suggest you look no further. Great people.

My last experience left me dumbfounded. I'm not sure if I was ripped off or just overcharged.
I needed a radiator and Willy's was convenient.
My car was taken apart a bit at a time to reveal more costly repairs instead of performing a diagnostic to let me decide what I wanted to do with the car.
There was other work needed-my first quote was $1,700 the next day it was $3,400. After charging my credit card $1,000 for parts I got a call to say my engine needs to be pulled to see what else was needed.
At this point, saying no would mean losing out on almost $3,000 of work.
Instead of replacing my radiator as I requested, Willy convinced me to go with another type-it would cost a little less.
Willy installed a noisey radiator fan without asking doubling the cost of the radiator to $1,100.
I smelled leaking fluid and discovered they used an old radiator cap.
Willy told me he needs to clean up my carburetor and it was a good one-but without asking, they replaced it with one costing $575.
One month later I picked up the car and was presented with a bill totalling $7,500.
On top of all that, I took my car in clean with half a tank of gas (good for at least 100 miles) and picked it up filthy inside and out with an empty gas tank.
Willy never puts the odometer reading on the invoice.
The car drove excellent for 20 minutes. Then would not start -had to call Auto Club.
The battery was leaking and the cables were covered in acid.
When I called Willy about it he said he knows a good battery but it's expensive-no way I was going to give him any more money. He was ordering me a window-never heard back after my no money comment.
My previous experience with Willy's was for a broken window, a rear view mirror, an unsecured rear side window and a tune up.
The window came out of its track in a month, the rear view mirror fell off in 3 days and the side window fell out and shattered to pieces on the freeway. The tune up was decent but pricey.
I would not recommend them unless you don't care how much work is being done without approval or what the cost will be. They don't try to correct their mistakes unless you pay again.

My 1969 Mustang broke down on it's way back from LA and I called Willy's out of the blue. They said it would be fine to tow it to their shop and discuss the repairs. Turns out the cause of the problem was with the previous engine builder - apparently the worst in the United States. Willy and Willy Jr. were very patient as I made a claim against the previous engine builder. My 69 was in their shop for about a year while I did this.
What mechanic would let you basically store your car while you gather a case against another engine builder for a year? I doubt many. When all was said and done, the insurance paid out and willy's got a check to build a new engine.
I could not be happier. The people at this shop are a joy to deal with. My Mustang now runs like a champ.
I wouldn't take it anywhere else.

My car broke down just after I exited the Bay Bridge. Needed it by early the next day. Another shop recommended Willy's and I dropped it off as they were closing. Guillermo (Father and Son business) gave me a great price...and had the car ready first thing in the morning. Great work and great people! Definitely recommend!

I don't like to write long reviews so I will get straight to the point. Willy is an amazing mechanic and very trustworthy repair guy. My 1969 Camaro Z28 is working much better then before thanks to great advice and upgrades that we did to the ignition and carburator.
I will recommend Willy and his crew to anyone looking to get work done on their car whether it's an old classic or a new car!
Thank you Willy!!

They moved in right across the street from me. I got to say, I am satisfied. They seem honest to me and nice. When they say they cannot do any cheaper they mean it. Some work they quoted me reasonable, some cheap, and some more pricier... Transmission flush for example they couldn't do cheaper so I went to the shop next door. Not a big deal.
Radiator replacement - good job! Other things, also very reasonable.
They work hard, I can see them pretty often. Long hours and care about their clients and customer service is good.
Not bad!!

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND WILLY'S TO ANYONE
I needed a new engine for my explorer so i went with the highest rated place on yelp. Big time mistake.
I asked if they could acquire and install a rebuilt engine. They said they could and quoted me at $4200. They said they needed half upfront. I agreed on the condition it would be finished within a week. They said no problem.
$2200 and about 5 weeks later still no engine. Week after week with excuses why they didn't have a suitable engine.
I had no option but to take my car from this incompetent "auto shop" to a shop that could actually get the job done.
So after about a half hour on the phone explaining to them that "No I won't wait, and no I don't care that they have yet another engine coming in from out of state in the next couple days. At this point all I wanted was my car and my money back.
When I arrived at the shop they told me it wasn't ready and they needed to put the engine back in the car... o and they were going to charge me the man hours it took to take the engine out.(and the man hours to put the engine back in)
My question why would you take my engine out of the car if you had nothing to put in its place? Why would i pay for your miscalculations? They performed a "service" so I was to be charged. They charged $800
I brought it to another shop where the job was done cheaper and within a week.
Feel free to message me I will give FULL details of this horrendous experience.
DO NOT GO HERE... YOU WILL REGRET IT.

From my experience, Willy doesn't really deserve any stars, but I can see why he gets rated highly. Willy is a really nice man. And, his son and daughter, who also work there, are also really nice. Heck, I even liked their dog, Zeus. But, Willy continually let me down by not fixing things right the first time and constantly missing due dates.
My story starts with a bad transmission in my Jeep Grand Cherokee. Willy said he would replace it and be done in a week. Well, at the end of the week, a few excuses came rolling in. No worries, I thought, as replacing the transmission required a few other repairs to make sure I didn't have any future problems. So, at the end of week two, I get my car back, transmission replaced. Yay. But, wait, it's not quite that easy:
1. Willy says I had to replace your battery, but I didn't have the right one in stock, so I put a different one in there but still charged you for the correct one. Just bring your car back in a couple weeks and I'll put the right one in.
2. The car stalled everytime I pulled out of a stoplight. I called Willy and he says, no problem, that's a simple idle adjustment, happens a lot when you replace a transmission. I think, so if it's that simple and so common, why didn't you fix it? I don't consider a car that stalls at every stoplight done!
3. The transmission wouldn't shift into overdrive. That's right, 65 on the freeway was about 3500 RPM when it should have been 2250. Can you say 8 MPG? WIlly says bring it in, it's probably just a throttle cable adjustment. That doesn't make sense to me, but, hey, he's the mechanic.
So, I drop my car off again. WIlly says these simple repairs will only take a couple days. Great. THREE WEEKS LATER I got my car back. This time:
1. Still wrong battery
2. Still no overdrive
Willy says "Aw shucks, I forgot the battery. And, I tested the overdrive, are you sure it's not working?" Yes, Willy, I'm sure, That 3500RPM on the freeway is pretty freakin' noticeable.
So, I take it back again. Should be only a few days, right. EIGHT WEEKS LATER I get my car back. To be fair to Willy, I did ask him to do some other services, but nothing that would extend the service time beyond a few days. And, it's not like I just abandoned my car. I CALLED EVERY WEEK and VISITED HIS SHOP IN PERSON several times. If my car wasn't buried in the back of his shop, I'd have driven/towed it out and taken it someplace else, but Willy's nice and I don't need my car often, so I just put up with it and resolved to never go back. But, here's the kicker, after EIGHT WEEKS, I get the car back and, you guessed it,
1. STILL NO OVERDRIVE!
So, I threaten to sue Willy. Willy says please, no, give me one more chance. As you've heard, Willy's nice and I even liked his dog, so I capitulated. The deal is he's going to have my car for max 3 days and he's going to rip out the old transmission and put in another one "just to be safe". Sure. TWO WEEKS LATER, I get my car back. And, this time, yes,
OVERDRIVE FINALLY WORKS, BUT
My transmission leaks fluid almost as fast as I can put it in. Instead of using a real transmission gasket, Willy used a squeeze-tube gasket maker (RTV for tthose of you in the know), which the transmission fluid ate through in no time. And, the shifter doesn't work right. Drive really isn't drive, but if you jiggle the shifter a bit, it will settle into gear, but if you don't get it right you figure it out because it won't shift out of second gear.
But, hey, Willy's a nice guy.

I took my car here after it was stolen. It was making a strange knocking sound and some parts in the AC system had been stolen.
The guys there were very nice to me. Some of that may have had something to do with the fact that I speak spanish, but maybe not.
They always called to let me know how much longer it would take for the car to be ready, as opposed to other mechanics who just let you wait. I had just had surgery and couldn't pick my car up immediately and they were very nice about waiting a day or two for me to get down there.
The billing with the insurance company was very smooth.
I was very pleased with my experience at Willy's.

Came in to do some general maintenance on my van. Dropped it off at lunch was on the road by the end of the day. To their credit, if you take the time needed to gather the right information and ask the right questions, they are very reliable and efficient. But if you don't know what the heck you are talking about, don't get expect them, at the drop of a dime, to know either. Two thumbs up for great service and hats off to the Rivera family!

So, I am one of those blessed people in San Francisco who pays an arm and a leg to have her own parking garage in which to park her car. Well, actually, it's a tandem garage, so I share it with a neighbor.
Anywho, my neighbor has a really, really expensive, brand new car. My car - not so much. Pretty much a 1997 pinto-quality gem of a car. So, one morning, I had to move my neighbor's hot car to get my not-so-hot jalopy out of the garage. I move the neighbor's car with the utmost care - I mean, I can't afford to pay for any repairs to a $70,000 car when I'm paying so much every month for parking, you know what I mean?
When I get to moving my car, I bust out of my skinny little garage like a bat out of hell, forgetting, of course, to check my side mirrors. Well, lo and behold, I take one of those babies right off! Driver's side, of course.
So, after moving my neighbor's $70,000 car back into the garage with utmost care, I drive down the road to Willy's Auto Repair Shop. On the way, I make up a story about what to tell them if they ask me what happened. Some other chick took off my mirror in the parking lot of TJ's while I was inside grocery shopping! Brilliant!
But here's the thing - the nice people at Willy's never asked. They just took the car, fixed it in a day or two, and charged me like $100 bucks. Wham, bam, thank you Willy's for such fast, efficient, and cheap service!
The old jalopy looks as good as new! Errr... almost, give or take 11 years.

What can be said about Willy's Auto....Let's see..I took my 1968 Plymouth Valiant in and got the Engine Completely Rebuilt as well as had a full Brake Service job. So far the car has been running good, but considering that the when an engine gets completely overhauled, only time will tell. The owner was very knowledgeable about my type of car as well as making sure that all the necessary parts where installed. The work came with a 2 year 24k warranty, so I know that they stand behind their work. The business is family run and both father and son were up front and made sure to call before any additional work was done.
As for me, since my engine is rebuilt now I am happy camper.

I've tried a lot of mechanics and repair shops in the city and Willy's is by far the best one I've been to and I make a point of recommending them every chance I get and so far everyone I've referred has had nothing but positive . They're always helpful, accommodating, fair and honest. I take both my cars there and will continue to do so. My reasoning for the bad reviews on here? You can't please all the people all the time.

I recently became a cliche.
It went down like this. I was running late and begged McV to borrow his car for the day. My friend Janet drove it back with me in the evening so we could both go to some alum bar night thing in Palo Alto.
If you've ever tried to park in Palo Alto on a Friday, you will be amazed to discover that it is much harder than parking in all neighborhoods in San Francisco with the possible exception of the Mission.
Me: There is no parking! I can just drop you off and take the car back or something.
Janet: Look! A garage!
...
Me: Okay. There is no parking even in the garage! Except for small cars. Do you think a Camry counts as a small car?
Janet: No.
Me: I can do it!
(This may be a good time to note that I failed all of the parking challenges when taking my driver's test and passed only because I had the horny old man tester and I giggled a lot. I soon moved to Boston and never drove a car again.)
Me (after 5 minutes of clumsy maneuvering): Jannnnnet! The car won't move forwards or backwards!
Janet: Let me get out of the car and direct.
...
Janet: You may not want to look now, but you are a lot closer to that pole than you think you are.
Me: Is it really bad?
Janet: How much does McV like his car?
Me: Ohhhhhh shit.
And that's how I became The Girlfriend Who Begs To Use Your Car And Subsequently Destroys It.
Okay, destroy is an exaggeration. In trying to squeeze into a way-too-small space, I had managed to scrape and dent most of the driver's side door. So technically, the car was still moving, but it looked nasty.
(Here is where I need to give McV five MILLION stars because he didn't get angry AND he let me borrow the car again when I overslept the very next day. So he is either the best guy ever or really dumb.)
I offered to scratch the other doors to match. I offered to cover the scraped areas with a big NASCAR magnet like I had given my sister one Christmas. I even offered to put a big sign over the scraped area that said "Liz G. banged my car up". But McV didn't go for any of my ideas, so then I offered to get it fixed.
Having never owned a car before, I had no idea what such an operation would involve. The first few estimates I got at places recommended by Yelpers were all around $1000 and expected to take about 4 days.
Then I asked Ben Y. for recommendations. He suggested a place in Pac Heights, so I headed up there. Because I'm not a very good driver (as has already been established) I missed the turn into the shop and had to go around the block. In my superfluous trip around the block, I passed by Willy's and figured it couldn't hurt to get another estimate.
Everyone I talked to at the shop was extremely nice and helpful. As soon as the guy I talked to saw the car he said, "The parking spots around here are so small," before I even told him the story! More to the point, his estimate was HALF my previous lowest estimate AND he expected he could fix the car in one day.
I admit, I was a little suspicious of what a half-price one-day job would look like. I was also worried that it was too good to be true. But as promised, the repair was finished in one day, I paid exactly what he quoted, and the car absolutely looked good as new.
I hope I never have to go to Willy's again, especially since I don't even own a car. But every Girlfriend Who Begs To Use Your Car And Subsequently Destroys It should have a good auto body shop in her cell just in case.

We took our car here twice now... The first time for a minor problem (oil change and uncooperative wipers) and second time for a more complicated and expensive problem - suspension and alignment (lingering problems from an old accident). I liked Willy. He takes the time to talk to you and explain what's going on, and he had the car ready on time and at a reasonable price. Labor rate was $99/hr. Perhaps not as friendly of a shop as John's Union Street Garage, but John gets like 12 stars in friendliness... no one can compete with him. And his shop is too darn busy lately...

Willy's moved Jan. 6 to Harrison Street but before the whole gang packed up I took my l3 year-old Infiniti in to resolve a problem that 6 (count 'em: 6) other garages couldn't or wouldn't deal with. Episodic engine light that showed weird codes and I need shocks. After keeping the car overnight and using what must have been a fine-toothed comb, they found the problem, installed the shocks and performed an oil change--all for a fair price, about $10-20. below other garage labor rates. I can find my way to Harrison Street and will from now on.

Ok so I have what some would call a "heavy foot" and I have run the hell out of my car since I bought it (Honda accord 2002). I use my car for work, on any given day I can drive around 100 miles stop and go with some freeway time all over the county I work in, well it caught up to me. One day I got in my car and began my day to go off to my home visits, but as soon as I began to drive, my car started to slip while transitioning between gears; I thought great! I don't know any mechanics that I would trust with having to do work on my car on a problem (replacing transmission) I feel I will most certainly get screwed on (little PTSD) haha. Well I'm the kind of person who was raised with family and trusted friend's recommendations; you know like back in the day where for example my Grandfather would call up his trusted "cement pro" friends and they would lay down a whole patio and my grandfather would pay with a BBQ and plenty of beer; so I started asking my family and friends for any suggestions. A couple of friends who live in the bay suggested Willy's Auto Repair in SF, I live in Patterson...about 90 miles away from Willy's but, I trust the word of my close friends and decided to drive my car to the city, while it could still be driven. I get there and I am welcomed by a family owned business, PERFECT in my eyes because well like I said before that's my background and I feel that a business that has been family owned and ran is the type of business I can trust. I explained what was going on and they immediately began to run scenarios for me on possible problems and took my car for a spin. They gave me a fair quote (not the same as Honda who wanted to charge me just to slap the CPU to check what was wrong with my car to tell me the problem is no longer covered under the warranty, I bought the car used). Willy's called me with regular check ins and got the job done within a reasonable amount of time, which is great because like I said before I drive for a living and I NEED my car. Well after everything was said and done, I got a great deal, great customer service and my car was back to its old self, with a little advice from Willy...take it easy on flooring it from signal light to signal light haha I have tried to do so since. By the way, like I said before, I live about 90 miles away from the city; but even so I feel it is worth the drive to take my car to a business I can trust; any work needed I take a trip out to the city (I love SF! I get work done from a trusted business and after I go get myself some great clam chowder down at the pier, I'm a big guy it's a win win situation for me haha). So far I have taken my car back to Willy for tune up, timing belt, fan belts, replacing all breaks and rotors, body work (not my fault on this one) well hell pretty much anything except oil change...I don't mind paying Honda Dealership for that; and that's all I'm going to pay Honda on top of my monthly statement. I didn't know anything about Yelp, but if I would have known about this site earlier I would have posted this a while back; so, if anyone needs work done, lives in the city, or likes driving to SF; take your car to Willy and pick up some clam chowder on the way home! :)
P.S. they have moved to off of 5th street so its even easier to get to know, just get off the freeway take a left and about half a block down your there!

I have brought my 2003 Nissan Murano for repairs at Willy's three times and have always been pleased. Since there is no Nissan dealer in San Francisco and Willy's is just down the hill it's very convenient. This past weekend while driving in circles trying to park in the Haight, the car stalled and would not start for a couple of minutes. I brought it into Willy's and described the problem and was given a preliminary diagnosis. A couple of hours later I was called and told that I needed a part for $86, it was available that day, and the labor would be about 1.5 hours. The car feels brand new again.

Guillermo Father and Son are some of the nicest mechanics I've ever met. I took my 1995 Nissan Maxima in because my clutch pressure died and I figured a hose, master cylinder or slave cylinder had failed.
They were friendly, professional and very reasonable in cost, do great work and best of all they are a family owned business and spent time getting to know me and my interests in cars.
In the age of impersonal big chain army of mechanics, this place was a welcome, indeed pleasurable experience. 2 thumbs up. I'd recommend my mom go there!

**UPDATE**
I had to update my review to give yet another 5 STARS for the folks at Willy's. I had a cracked windshield on my Toyota Prius. Toyota told me for the Toyota glass it would be $1000 plus $200 for the service. I went back to the good people at Willy's and they got me an estimate for $250. Dropped it off on Friday at 8:30AM - got it back at 11:30AM same day!!! How AWESOME is that???!!
GREAT Service, Great Job!! Check them out!

Original Review:
Over the holiday week I had my car hit as I was passing Lombard on Fillmore st. I went to another place and they said it would take over a week to do the work.
The damage: dent and scratched paint the entire left side of the vehicle (left doors and rear bumper) and I just brought a this Hybrid. I took it to this place and they where professional but most important I turned my car in on a Wednesday afternoon and picked it up on Saturday at noon!! It looked like new when I got it!!! Very good work...can't tell at all that I was hit! I would recommend them for sure!! Fast turn around and the work is all guaranteed!!
Family run place...been there for quite some time. Friendly and professional!

I took my Jeep Grand Cherokee here twice within a 2 month period. The first time, my girlfriend sideswiped someone that opened their door on a narrow street. I got estimates at 4 places, including Willy's. They gave me the best price, as I was coming out of pocket.
There were a few fixes that were needed from internal damage, and they were able to make the necessary fixes without replacing the parts (bumper connector, and headlight). Saved me a bunch on money- and it looks great. The other thing that I appreciated was that it was fixed in just a few days, and they called and emailed to keep me posted. The two guys and gal that work there are all really nice. Way better experience than I have ever had with body shops.

So this is one of those (all too) rare occasions when I wish I could give more than 5 stars.
I apologize for the length of this review but you need the background. If you get impatient, skip to the end--that's where I gush about Willy's.
I moved to SF from DC in May and, after much debating, decided to bring my 11-year old Nissan Pathfinder with me (well, actually, paid out the ass to have it shipped but I digress).
Last summer I had what appeared to be battery problems. Car died, got a new battery, car died again, mechanic assured me it was a "lemon battery" and replaced for free.
All was well until last month.
After not having driven for awhile (say, 1 week--I don't drive it to/from work so it's really more of a weekender car), my car was dead.
So called AAA and the guy they sent out said I needed a new battery. I just wanted my car to run so I sprung for the new battery despite having just gotten a new one last year.
I asked what would happen if my car died again despite the new battery and he said to call AAA if that happened and he would tow me to a shop as something else must be going on.
So Friday morning I drove a "friend" home and all was well.
The next day, when I had a long list of errands to run, lo and behold, my car was dead again. Too frustrated to deal, I waited till Monday to call AAA. Guy (same guy actually) came back out and said I needed to take it in--probably needed a new alternator. He jumped my car and, when I asked for a reference, suggested WIlly's as it is both close (less than 2 blocks from my house) and he knew WIlly's son from grade school. Perfect.
BEGIN GUSHING:
Drive car to Willy's and get it back that night with a new alternator (to the tune of $400). Willy was super nice, professional, and even waited around until I was able to leave work (after 8pm) and come get my car. He also discovered a slew of brake problems but didn't pressure me into fixing them--just wanted to point things out.
Wednesday morning I decide to just start my car for the hell of it...especially b/c I have to drive to Napa on Friday for a wedding I'm in.
Given that this is the first time I know I really NEED my car I was, of course, not at all surprised that it didn't start. I called Willy and he asked if I could bring it in on Thursday. Of course I had no way to get it there, so he just suggested I drop my keys off as I walked to work and he would go get it and bring it back to the shop. AWESOME. And worth 5 stars in and of itself.
Oh yeah, let me also point out that it was his daughter's birthday that day so he wanted to leave work early (like 6pm) but knew I had to have my car that night.
So I don't hear anything all day and am getting nervous. Call him at around 4pm and he says he's still working--that some fuse is shorting out and draining the battery but it's taking him awhile to isolate which fuse. I just tell him to stay in touch. To complicate matters, I have to take a recruit to dinner at 6pm and know I'll be somewhat AWOL. I check my phone during dinner and see that he's called--it's about 7:15pm at this point. I call him back and he is STILL at work waiting for me. When I explain I can't leave he offers to, get this, drive my car back to my parking spot behind my apartment and leave the keys for me so I will have it in the morning and don't have to leave dinner early. Yeah now we're squarely in "Willy is a rockstar" territory. Then he tells me he found the problem (radio) but didn't have time to fix it so just pulled the fuse so it won't keep draining the battery. Oh yeah, and that he won't charge me anything despite having worked on it for a good portion of the day (not to mention being late to his daughter's birthday dinner).
Just to solidify his awesomeness, I get a call in the morning from Willy just to make sure that the car started and that I was able to get to my wedding. Um, who does that?
The car did indeed start and I made it to the wedding in time!
Thank you Willy...I will definitely be coming back.

When you schedule an appointment to drop your car off at 8am, you expect someone to be at the shop. This was not the case. Gave them a call, nothing. Sent them an email later. Did I get a response? No. There are plenty of mechanics around that don't give horrible first impressions

My day got off to a horrible start when on the way to work, I found that someone had busted out my back window and broken into my car. I called around the city that morning trying to find a repair shop open. Willy's was the first one that was, and I told them what happened. I was told that they would check to make sure they could locate the window needed to replace the broken one before I brought the car in. I got a call back within a half hour saying that they had the window and I was given a price estimate.
Trying to coordinate my schedule to drop the car off was challenging for me, but Willy's let me know when I needed to get the car there so that the repair would be done the same day. They also stayed open later and I was able to pick the car up after 6pm. When I got the car, I was charged exactly what I had been quoted and the car had been washed. I was so impressed with the speed and quality of the work.
I was intimidated at first b/c it was my first time to have a car repaired in the city, and I had no clue as to who is honest, etc. Willy's is, and I would certainly take my car back, and I recommend them to anyone who needs work done.

I am very dissatisfied with the the quality of service. Several items were not checked that they claimed would be included in the tune up.
Ex: I asked them to check my tires (one was low). All they did was fill it up instead of pulling out the nail, replacing the tires or suggesting I get new ones.
Ex: They installed the wrong valve cover gasket which resulted in more of an oil leak (they did ultimately fix this).
Just two examples. Be careful with these guys...they do a quick and dirty job!

We just moved from Massachusetts and our cars started developing a number of problems. On a whim I drove into Willy's to ask for estimates. I immediately felt comfortable and liked and trusted both father and son. They did such a fine job on our cars. My husband was thinking of selling his Volvo but after Willy finished working on it he changed his mind because it drives so beautifully. My Honda needed some body work and it looks just great now. My mother's Camry needs attention and I'm taking it to Willy's today. We are moving to Cupertino but plan to use Willy for all our service. Also because we have a 16 year old son who just got his license we may need to have Wily on our speed-dial...I highly recommend this family business!

All I can say is that if you are looking the last HONEST shop you need to go to Willy's Auto Repair. I am a car enthusiastic and anything on wheels and a motor gives me a reason to skip work for a good'ol time! I look- up cars for sale even when I am not buying. Needless to say, I own many cars and motorcycles. I was a "dealer only" type of guy. After many times of taking my car back to the dealer for mistakes and experiencing poor customer service I had to find something better! I wanted a shop that didn't make me feel like was "coned" into paying for a rebuilt engine when I only took it in for an oil change--you know that feeling? I wanted a place where I was treated well even when I had little clue of what my compression rate was in my 6th cylinder. In addition, I had to deal with three different shops to get my needs met (my new car's technology, my classic muscle, and auto body shop). I looked around for service, prices and what I sensed to be the "right" fit. When I needed to get 100K tune up on my mustang, upgrade my computer and a few more things I gave Willy's a chance. I did not want to go back to the dealer since they had my car for nearly 40 days for a transmission job. So I took it down to Willy's and up on the ramp I went where I was greeted by Willy (once you go there, you know what I'm talking about). When I met Willy, he told me step by step what it was wrong with my car, what it needed to be done and what I could change in the future. Automatically hitting the target on what I was looking for, better performance using quality parts but not having to loose a limb to pay for it! Best decision I made was to listen to my friend and take it to Willy's! Since than, I have taking my Mustang, my new Dodge Ram truck, my 73 bug (complete restoration), my brother's diesel work truck for a complete rebuilt motor service, Mom's Infinity, my uncles Caravan, my friends BMW 740 il, my co-worker's 911 Carrera, my friend's Work Van for a an entire new frame, my friends Tahoe for a new paint job--his wife's car for brakes, and I am planning into taking my 70's Chevelle (as soon as I buy one) for a complete restoration - They do great work on classic muscle and restoration. I have had custom paint jobs on my mustang, my truck, my bug, my motorcycle, (two other of my friends have taken their bike there). So I have found what I was looking for: an honest shop that treats me with respect and not only explains to me what is wrong with my cars but shows me what they are saying! A family owned business and both of Willy's "grown kids" are great! I know that most car owners may not like cars as much as I do. But at Willy's they take good care of the cars and their customers so even if you are not as passionate about cars, you will be about keeping them tuned up. Hands down you should think of Willy's, I highly recommend it!
