I was desperate to get the ball joints changed on my car for a cross country trip to start a new job. He knew I wouldn't be return business for him, and he knew he was the only mechanic that would do it on Sunday. He charged me a very fair price and had it ready for me Monday morning for me to make it to my job. I was VERY pleased.

This place stole my jack and tire. I had my car delivered to this place for fuel pump. I went back to address the issue the owner said I don't need your business!! I'm furious.

This place is very shady. I decided to not have work done on my car he threatned to damage my car if it was not taken off the lot. He then proceded to charge me a $40 a day storage fee, a daily storage fee is fine, but $40 are you kidding me? When I called back he actually increased the fee. When I questioned it he yelled at me.

I want to start out by saying, the owner of this place threatened to physically come after me (leaving it at that for legal purposes) after calling to discuss an unfair bill.
That being said, I called around to several places nearby to get an estimate of how much it would cost to get my headlights replaced, tire patched and oil changed--all pretty standard repairs/services. I trusted the good review and estimate I was given over the phone, and to my regret, all three services were either double or TRIPLE the cost of the estimate. When I called, politely, to ask why such a difference is cost, the "manager" on the phone told me I should have called to confirm my estimate while my car was being serviced to make sure the cost had not gone up (didn't know the cost of an oil change could go up), and it was my fault for not getting a second estimation. I apologized for trusting their first estimate and when I then asked to speak to the person who gave the estimate/another manager, I was told I couldn't. I asked for the man's name and he told me it was "John Smith" /: |... Oddly enough, every time I called or stopped in the office, there is no John Smith who works there, nor anyone who would even talk to me. Until the last call I made which resulted in me being threatened, followed by the owner calling the corporate number from my business card to threatened my place of work. ?? Absolute lunatic.

I had an issue with my car. Called them and discussed it. I too was quoted a different price over the phone versus when I went to pick up the vehicle. I refused to pay more. They should be more consistent.

My car was towed here. When they called the estimated cost was $ 250. When I arrived to pick up the car the actual cost was much higher. I sure wish there were more reviews here!

I am very happy with the service I received from Foreign Car Clinic. My car would not start and the tow service came in less than 15 minutes. They quoted the price for a bad fuel pump which was a very fair price and the final charge was not higher than the quote. They explained that they use the best parts which are exact OEM replacement parts. My car was finished in one day. They were very knowledgeable about my VW and I have no complaints.

i have a 1992 buick lesabre i aquired from my girlfriend when she bought her new car (chevy hhr) anyways shes a girly girl and never kept up with it needless to say it was a problem. constant shaking turning off on highway and street and very rough idle. i was anticipating a tune-up when i got some extra cash but the car gave on me before i could get there some i (being the novice mechanic) though it was the ignition coils so i left the car park and the gas station it died on me at, and walked to oreilly's (murrays before) and bought all three ignition coils yes i said THREE and pugs and wires, walked back put the coils in and it didnt start... i went online and found that pep-boys will tow up to 20 miles for 40$ so i called tow truck came and said he would give me same price as tow i i took it to thier shop i agreed and two days and $292 later the buick was back smooth sailing..... the crank case position sensor was bad, mind you i had taken the car to reputable mechanic in carol steam (dupage auto or somthing like that) and he kept saying there was a loose connection and it would cost 500 to find it (i wasnt ignorant enough to beleive him) so i kept driving it until it died) auto clinic was very clean and orderly i, the conversations with the owner werent as delightful as i would have liked but he did what he had to do, i would just as for a little more explaination and customer caring other than that it was a pleasant expeirience

Worst nightmare ever is getting a flat on the Tri-State when you live out of town and have an appointment to keep. Lucky for us, Brady was cruising by in his tow truck and stopped to help us out. By the time we got back to his shop in Arlington Heights, a replacement tire that fit our car was in the bay waiting for us. What could have been a total train wreck of a day turned out like a pit stop at the Indy 500. If we lived in the neighborhood, Brady would difintely be taking care of our cars.

I have been servicing my cars here in the past 3+ years. Iliyan is an outstanding mechanic with exceptional knowledge and great work ethic. I am not sure about the owner, but i have never had any, any issues with them. I have had my 2 Acura's , VW and BMW serviced here. And am continuing and regular customer. Going there next week for an oil change. I have done all kinds of repairs and modifications here, you name it, breaks, oil changes, belts, tune ups, tires, wheel, exhaust, electronics, engine upgrades...need i say more. Go for it. I send everybody that ask me here. I hear the owner is a bit off, but anyway, he is not the one doing the work on your car is he! Talk to the mechanic, Iliyan, he will take care of you. Best in the area, hands down.

Service is prompt and diagnosis is accurate, however, I just took my car in for an oil change and, after, for a car wash. I immediately saw a prominent scratch in the paint along the driver side quarter panel where you would typically lean over to access the engine bay. Obviously a buckle from a belt that was not removed or tool that was carelessly handled. Nevertheless, it was not brought to my attention nor an offer to compensate. I'm a "car guy" and delight in taking proper care of my car and am vigilant in even the slightest cosmetic blemish. At this point, making the case in small claims court is not worth the hassle. I will however be talking my business to another; I understand A&L Autobody to provide excellent service and the owners/techs are BMW enthusiasts that I might trust to take basic care and prudence.

This place is great! Brady seems to know foreign vehicles and their needs. Very speedy, very reasonable and fairly priced. I'd definitely recommend.
