We've taken two of our cars to Ron's. Although the prices here are not "backyard" mechanic prices they are much lower than a dealer service center.
The work has always been done well, although wait times are sometimes a bit long. I recommend dropping off and picking up later rather than waiting.
My most recent service was for a repair that I checked with the dealer on as well. Ron's was $115 less than the dealer cost for the same repair.
I recommend for any work on a European model car.
The waiting area could use a remodel but otherwise a good shop with personal service.

Not only are some of their services overpriced but when I brought in my car to get serviced I was told that my new brakes were 80% worn and needed to be replaced but when I took my car to my dealership they told me they were only 20% worn.

Awesome 1st experience. We are a military family that just moved here to Melbourne I went looking for a European Specialty shop that would do the same work but for less then the dealer. I found John to be honest, like taking my car to my dad to work on so I scheduled an appointment. The cost was half what the dealer wanted, he didn't recommend any additional services and he advised on when I should come back. Totally great experience. I was there about 2 hours for a fuel filter replacement and cabin air filter replacement. It;'s not fancy like the dealer but it's honest and his prices are fair.

Sure your car will be fixed but at a HUGE price tag. Honestly there are no deals at this place. Compared to the work I had done with my car when I lived in Toronto this place charges an arm and a leg.
Toronto to get my door fixed was $100 (at Ron's on Merritt Island $300 YIKES)
Toronto to get my brakes fixed was $700 (at Ron's over $1000 YIKES again)
ALSO THE HALF-TRUTH (LIES)...we were told they had our parts for the brakes, then told John was working on putting the brakes on....then afterwards when car was not ready, we were told John was waiting for the parts to actually come-in. So between this and the back-and-forth pricing of the "job"...... it really indicated a lack of ethics or a lack of organization (or perhaps both).
I wish I asked around as I certainly felt that it is two steps forward and three steps backwards in regards to pricing.
I say try another mechanic and ask around for some decent suggestions (I don't recommend this place)
ADDING TO MY REVIEW: +++ also note the 1 review person Michele S is John' girlfriend (owner of Ron's European Auto)+++ after posting my review this person sent me several Emails to my YELP so I had to block them. I am just telling it as it was for me Michelle - note I have been YELPING for a while and very honest in my opinion of how service/s have been....... I found your store a RIP OFF on price - sure the work was done ....but not at a cost that is effective. I RECOMMENDED PEOPLE SHOP AROUND ....
MICHELE BELOW WORKS THERE - AND SHE ONLY GAVE IT A 3 STAR...hmmmm...if someone who works there gives it 3 stars and also pretends not to be an unbiased Yelper (with one review no less)....it's really speaking for itself in regards to ethics (or lack there of)

I highly recommend them, amazing customer service! I came to him first with my Saab that he saved me from purchasing and earned my trust. I now own a dodge magnum, not the typical manufacturer that they work with, but they agreed to look at my car. They found the problem but we're unable to fix it because it was computer related, and they ( being a European car shop) did not have the program. Even tho they could not fix the problem they did suggest places to take it. They were able to figure out the problem when the dodge dealer next door couldn't. I highly recommend them.

This is written in defense of John Bell and to correct the statement by glenn johnson posted earlier. There's a few things wrong with this story and since my name was brought into it I need to correct them. I know NOBODY named glenn johnson so I cannot be his "good friend". When this comment was first posted I was 80 yrs old, not 82. (A"good friend" would have known that.) What actually transpired that day was this: I dropped my car off and walked to the nearest bus stop because I had intended to do so all along.The ONE truth in glenn johnson's comment is that the mechanic who worked on my car, Don, did give me a ride home. That same mechanic mis-diagnosed a battery drain problem and replaced a battery cut-off master switch, which didn't fix the problem, which cost quite a bit. Since John Bell moved Ron's European to his new location on SR520 I've taken that car to him for service and repairs a number of times and have been VERY PLEASED WITH HIS GREAT SERVICE. BTW, his mechanic there found the cause of the battery drain problem in about an hour, but John didn't charge me because of my previous experience at the former location. I STRONGLY recommend Ron's European!

I was on vacation in Cocoa Beach and needed service on my Porsche Boxster due to failed power steering... It was a Sunday morning when I noticed that the steering had gotten very stiff. I searched my Iphone for Porsche Service and Rons came up. I called the number and got a voice mail saying they were closed, after realizing it was a Sunday I felt like an idiot and hung up. 10 minutes later my phone rang and it was the Manager Jon asking if I need assistance... I told him my problem and he said he would come in and help me out. He meet me at the shop in about an hour... fixed the problem and I was back on my way. If that's not service I have no idea what is! I live in Orlando and used to use German Excellence for all my services... my car now goes to Ron's.. and as a matter of fact it is there now getting the oil changed while he finds out why it's pulling amps while shut down. For some reason the battery goes dead after 2-3 days of sitting idle in the garage. I have had nothing but good things to say about Jon and his new employees especially the tech named GW...a good ole christian man! Feel free to contact me any time for references

a good friend of mine 82 year old robert gotcher told me about his dealings with rons european after droping off his rolls royce and agreeing to an 8000.00 repair the owner john bell jr could not give him a ride home because he was late for a hair cut appointment so robert walked to the transit bus stop in the rain and waited on the bus until one of the mechanics heard about this and went and picked robert up in his personal vehicle and drove him home I DO NOT CALL THAT GOOD SERVICE and by the way if you found rons european on the internet and have never been there how did you know the employee,s were new ?
