I've been coming here for a few years now. They've helped me out tremendously the first time when I needed a new battery. I trust them with everything they do with my car. From the first phone call to inquire about their prices Dennis was very professional and clear. I really liked how they stayed opened for be because I got off work near their closing time. They managed to stay after hours to help me fix my car, I ended up needing a new coil and spark plug. They were very fast and the price i was quoted from the beginning was the price I paid. I literally spent less than 30minutes getting my car fixed and they even explained everything they were doing.

Dennis is fair and honest, and he is an extremely knowledgeable auto repair professional. I highly recommend him for your auto service needs whether it be repair, maintenance or emergency service. This place is really great. My college daughter's car broke down and it was towed to this place we had never been to before. My mommy senses were skeptical n(worried about ripoff and taking advantage possibly of a new driver) from the start. However, they treated her with respect and kindness. They explained what they would do, and how much it would cost quickly without a three hour wait just to get a quote. They communicated through the process. The price was very reasonable, the work was done fast, and they were really, really, really nice.
We are big fans of this place. She had to take the car there again for a small unrelated issue a month later and they did a diagnostic, took care of the issue, ordered the part, and called when it was available. They are a stand up place and have terrific customer service!

Add me as another satisfied customer of Dennis and Enjoying Mechanics! After recently moving from Orange to Fountain Valley, I was looking for a mechanic close to home. I found Enjoying Mechanics right here on Yelp, and figured I would give this place a shot since there hadn't been any bad reviews yet. (Even the "not recommended" reviews are good!)
My brakes were squeaking something awful, so I called up Enjoying Mechanics and spoke with Dennis to get a rough estimate on how much it would be to change out the brakes. The prices Dennis gave me weren't necessarily the cheapest, but they definitely were competitive with other quotes I had received. I figured that I'd never know if this place lived up to its reviews unless I tried it out for myself, so I dropped off my car and waiting for the phone call from Dennis to see what needed replacing.
Turns out my brakes weren't the issue, but something closely related. On top of that, Dennis showed me some broken parts that were barely hanging together, and had advised some additional repairs to make sure my car would continue to run safely. Normally I would pass up anything additional than what I originally came in for, however after seeing the broken parts and having Dennis explain that I would save on labor (vs. doing it another day) seeing as the part of my car that he would need to get to was already disassembled, I gave him the green light to go ahead with the additions.
Walked out satisfied. Not only did Dennis fix my issue, but also wanted to make sure that I'd be safe driving on the road. Recommended Dennis to my parents and they've taken their car to him as well, and also had excellent results.
If you're looking for an honest mechanic with good prices, go see Dennis. The shop is also AAA rated, so you can either mention Yelp or show your AAA card and get a nice discount.

Took my 2002 Ford Explorer for an electrical diagnose. Had it towed there without me being present. Spoke to Jordan who quoted me a reasonable diagnostic fee. When they found the problem and called me with what had caused a no crank engine, I was relieved it turned out to be an alarm switch. They order the part and fixed it and was ready the next day.

Watch your invoice when ready to pay with this place. They charged me for diagnostic even when I end up doing the repair there. When questioned about it he said it was part of the repair. I then told him i have never had to pay for diagnostic when the work is done at the same place. He was stumped and told me to remind him to give me a credit when i come back the next time?? I don't want a credit! I want my refund...Never going here again. I was excited about the good reviews and had even had my wife came here for brakes, but to see this kind of shady practice was completely unacceptable. Word of advise to the owner - keep it honest.

My wife's Mitzubishi Montaro's engine gave up the ghost and was sitting at a shop by my house that also sells tires and they said they could put in a used engine. Well it sat there for 3 weeks and I guess it's a rare breed so one was not available.
Then I asked Dennis, who is in my network lunch group, about it and he said he will look into it and call me later that day. He called me as promised and had an answer for me, and that was, since this engine isn't readily available, he would rebuild my existing engine. I thought oh great I bet thats gonna really be expensive because of the labor hours. But it was in my budget and I was thrilled because we love the car.
We got it back a week and a half later and it runs soooo smooth. They didn't get grease all over the arm rests or seats like I've had happen from other shops. I strongly recommend Enjoying Mechanics, they saved the day for me.

My favorite mechanic is in Alisio Viejo and that's just to far to drive when my car needs some help. So I asked around and my mother in law suggested I come here because she's been following this place for years. It changed hands once while she's been coming, but she assured me the new guy is every bit as wonderful as the old one. So I gave him a shot.
I've come to this gentleman for a couple of car emergencies now and he's always swift, professional and honest. I have only been here twice now, but both times I've gone away with a better car and I was never over charged.
I am really cautious about mecahnics because my dad was in the business for may years and he knows a lot of them are crooks. I'll never go to a Pep Boys again because they were dumb enough to try to sell me a new engine even after I told them exactly what was wrong with my car. So I keep a close watch on my mechanics. I didn't get any bad vibe off this guy and I think all his diagnosis's were right on the mark! I highly recommend this place!

My car was leaking and overheating on Friday evening as I drove home. I took it to Enjoying Mechanics, hoping to leave it there over the weekend. I got there around 5:15 p. I knew the shop closed at 5, and that there was an after hours number on the door so I called it, again, hoping that Dennis would let me leave it there over the weekend. Turns out he had gotten held up and was still there. Instead of telling me that the shop was closed, he came out, checked my car, changed his shirt and fixed it on the spot for me so that I could have a car for the weekend.

An honest mechanic who knows what he's doing! When my Check Engine light came on several months ago, I wasted a bunch of time getting bad service at Pep Boys, and being told it would cost $75 just to get an appointment at my dealership (that I didn't have time to schedule anyway); so I finally took my car to Enjoying Mechanics, which is right down the street from my office. Dennis checked the code (within minutes of my pulling up) and explained the couple of things it could be. Rather than jumping to the most expensive fix, which other mechanics are happy to do, Dennis recommended that we start with the least expensive part, and if it came back, then to go to the next solution. Sure enough, the $100 part did the trick, and when I picked up my car the price was what he had told me-- no tricks or extras. Months later, my car is still running perfectly with no Check Engine light drama. Dennis will be the first person I call next time Syundai the Hyundai needs any help!

They are very straight forward mechanics - they check-out your car and let you know what work is needed and then it's fixed promptly at a fair price - instead of presenting a long list of should do's, probably needed's, etc. I have been to them twice and the car always seems to run better even after just an oil change.
