I took my car in for a repair and even though I didn't have an appointment, they squeezed me in and even had time to look at it later that day and called me with a diagnosis. Great customer service,fair prices and great location. I definitely will not hesitate to bring my car back for any future repairs.

I had a very unfortunate experience with them, with Nathan to be specific. We took my daughters car to get the engine fixed because the car was overheating, he only gave us 1month of guarantee but since I live in L.A. and my daughter lives and attends college at Merced I took the risk of getting it fixed with only 1 mo. Of guarantee. 3 months later I'm having the same problem with the car overheating and has no external leaks exactly like last time. We brought the car in again and he said my daughter messed up the car for not checking the water, oil,antifreeze. Bullshit she is always on top of the maintenance. Plus I told him you have the car in front of you is the car missing any of those items and he said no. So now he wants to charge me $1,100 dollars more to repeat the same thing he did three months ago without being sure what the real problem is. It just makes me upset of how people take advantage of young college students that don't know any better and just pay them whatever they ask for. He had no compassion for her in really fixing her car when he knows how bad she needs it to go to school and work. I wish she lived close to us but she has no one back there and these people don't care to take advantage of her. If he just knew her struggles. To top things off he said if I didn't want to fix the car if I could sell it to him for a cheap price. Just remember Nathan God is watching us and what goes around comes around.

Before I sold my civic it needed a couple things fixed and everyone at Martins were extra helpful and got everything taken care of in half the time I expected! Wonderful experience guys, thanks for everything! I will be back for sure.

I've gone to Martin's with all my vehicles. He's always been quick, fair and friendly. I always recommend his shop to anyone I know that needs their cars or trucks smogged. Nice to know customer service is still important to some people.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!!!
Came by on a Friday to get a smog on my car, my car was very close to passing but it failed by a couple points. Martin recommended that i buy a new catalytic converter and referred me to another shop that sells them, he also told me to come back after and "It would pass for sure". The catalytic converter was over $200 and since money is tight i did a tune up on my car myself hoping it would pass. Martin is also closed on Saturday and after doing the tune up I took it to another shop that was open on Saturdays because i needed the car to get to work.
The car did not pass again and i came back to Martin on Tuesday after Memorial Day. He told me to drop it off early on Wednesday morning and it shouldn't be a problem passing after he fixes it. I received a call on Wednesday before closing saying he ran out of time and he was gonna leave the car in the shop but he will get it done tomorrow. Thursday before closing he called again and said he ran out of time again. I went and picked up the car on Thursday and again he said bring it tomorrow morning "I will get it done" Dropped it off early on Friday early like he said and Friday around closing time same old story... "I ran out of time" I find it ironic that cars that cars that were not there the day before were being worked on?? So again he told me Bring it by on Monday morning and "Ill get fixed this time" I asked him "Are you sure you will be able to fix it today?" and he said "Yes i am going to work on it today" I went by and checked in on the car and again other cars were being worked on but mine. So i asked him "Why is it that other cars that were not here the past few days are being worked on?" He stated "Yeah that's how it is sometimes" He then grabbed the keys and told me to go somewhere else. I gladly took my keys and went somewhere else. (Id hate to break it to him but he is not the only one with a smog shop around here.) It does not take a genius to smog a car, however it does take knowledge and experience to repair cars. He is a complete waste a time and has a couple favorite lines... "Bring it by early in the morning, Ill get it done" and "I ran out of time".

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!! This guy is a complete waste of time, i dropped off my car and picked it up 4 different days after he did nothing to my car. Different cars were in n out when i would go pick up my car and after asking him why he worked on other cars and not mine he gave me my keys and told me to go elsewhere. I gladly did and Id hate to break it to him but he is not the only smog shop in town.

My car was at shop (that I will leave nameless) in Atwater for over 6 weeks and no luck... I had it towed to Martins and literally the next day they called me to come pick it up... I have never been so pleased with an auto shop in my life... They are legit!!!!

I"ve often felt taken advantage of when taking my car to be smogged or fixed but not at Martins! Hes honest and reasonable and I would recommend his smog shop to anyone!

I went to get my car smog test...

I went to get my car smog tested so I could get a new inspection sticker. "Service engine" light came on. He had to keep the car for a day and a half to fix a misfiring cylinder and determine by process of elimination the "service engine" light was caused by a dirty fuel injector. He recommended some cleaner ($5) from another auto parts store, and said I could leave and WAIT to PAY until the service engine light went off and I came back for the smog inspection. After running my car with the injector cleaner over the weekend the light went off and hasn't been on since. He also had one of his people give me a ride back to my house when he first took my car. Really great service.

Fast, friendly service they have done the smog tests on my two cars for three or four years! I have made appointments and have gotten right in and back out. The day I didn't have an appointment they were also very efficient! I will always go back there for the smog testing!

Excellent job and honest staff. I and my friend went to the store this morning. I planed to change oils. The boss checked the reason of my engineer light on, and turned off it, and checked the oil and told me no necessary to change . Alex help me add some brake oil. When I asked they how much I should pay, I was told it was free. I like the store, and I will come back here if I need.
