I found Alliance via AAA, and checked the reviews on Yelp before calling. I left a message and Dean called me back within an hour, was able to squeeze us in on my requested day, so I brought my newly purchased son's used car in to get work done that another mechanic recommended from a used car inspection. That original estimate totaled about $1600, but when Dean looked at the car, he told me NONE of the work actually needed to be done and the original estimate was quite exaggerated (I guess that other mechanic thought we'd bring the car to him for the repairs...). And he didn't charge me a dime. Wow! We have found our family's mechanic for ALL our cars now.

I came here today to get my wheels aligned, as a walk-in, I wasn't sure if they can finish it in 2 hours (I had another appt), the owner asked the tech if he can do it, and they took my keys and got it done in about a hour.
The waiting area is very clean and the couch is very comfortable. They have Keurig machine for coffee.
Overall, the best auto mechanic experience I EVER had. As much as I hate waiting, I didn't mind waiting here.
Parking is kind tricky, but no big deal.
Highly recommend place and I will be a regular here, hopefully only for maintenance.

Dean is a genuine, knowledgeable and trustworthy guy!!
I am moving x-country and needed a once-over for my car, including an oil change, tire rotation, fluid top-off, and brake check. I called two days before and Dean fit me in. This was the first time I have been to Alliance Auto and I wish I had found them earlier!
Unlike other mechanics I have used, Dean did not try to push me into any unnecessary repairs etc. And the rate was very reasonable. All in all, it was a great experience and I would recommend him and his employees to anyone!

Dean is really nice and friendly. He has been taking care of my car for oil changes and tire rotations for about a year now. He is happy to check the transmission fluid to see if it needs to be changed. He gives me car maintenance tips.
And the coffee/tea machine in the lobby is really yummy!

My husband and i have used been going to Alliance Automotive for almost 10 years. Dean gives us great service at a good price. And i know that i can depend on him. Dean and his employees are good people. I had a really strange noise coming from my engine and they were able to diagnose the issue and tell me what part I needed to be replaced. I am still deciding whether or not to just repair it myself, but I'm very happy they were able to diagnose it and tell me what I needed to do. Turned out to be the bearings of the alternator. To top things off, they diagnosed this for free regardless if I had them do the repair service or not. Will continue to go back here for services that I need from a shop even though it is out of my area.

Dean and his crew are great! They are honest which is very rare with mechanics nowadays! They are friendly and offer tips to keep my vehicle running better and when it does need repairs they do a thorough job. Because of this they are very busy but I will wait to have Alliance service my vehicle before I take it anywhere else!

Dean has been working on my cars since I was 16. No matter what the issue was he was always able to diagnose it and insight me on what needed to be done. My father has also been taking his vehicles here for longer then I can remember. Alliance has the most reasonable prices in the valley and the BEST service. I currently have a 1997 Ford Escort and the struts were rusted and about to fall off. Dean sourced some used parts for this repair to save some $$$. Now that's what I call service. I would not take my cars anywhere else.

I love this place. I have a 2001 Honda civic and I was way overdue for a timing belt change. when I called to get a quote it was a great deal better than any of the other places that I called. They are very friendly and honest about what you need and what you can get away with. I love it because I felt like they were trying to sell me parts that I really didn't need for my car. if you're looking for a mechanic I highly recommend this place

I took my vehicle over to Alliance Automotive because I was referred to him by another customer. Dean is honest, friendly and doesn't take advantage of those of us who 'REALLY DON'T KNOW SQUAT' about their vehicles. He was upfront and extremely professional when it comes to his business and trade. My check engine light came on and Dean knew what was wrong immediately. I had previously taken my vehicle to the dealership and they quoted me over $1,200 to fix my vehicle. Dean accomplished the same thing for only $198.00
I have since sent 3 or 4 others over to Dean's shop and he has done the same for each person. I will continue to take my vehicles over to Dean's place of business even though I live in MT View and work in San Mateo. It is totally worth the time and drive.

Yeay! I was towed here after my car was stolen, and I called this morning to find out how bad the damage was. Dean was WONDERFUL! He was so nice and helpful, and he looked at the car and had it fixed within 3 hours! He was also so generous with the pricing, saying that he didn't want me to have to pay too much since it was stolen. I will definitely be back! Thanks so much guys.

The guy I bought my truck from used to get it serviced here so I took it back for a check up. They put some new smog sensors in and it passed smog. The next time it needed smogged, I took it back again but this time things were not so good. Dean said he diagnosed the problem but was unable to fix it this time. He said it needed some cam timing gear that FUCKING FORD did'nt make anymore and that it would not pass smog. He spent a lot of time and effort to find this part including going to the junkyard to look for the it. He put the truck back together for me and did'nt charge me a thing since he could'nt fix it. Thats a good mechanic and I highly recommend this place. I hand out their cards to everyone who needs a mechanic.

In search for a dealer alternative I found Alliance Automotive! Dean runs a great shop, I took my WRX for service and no complaints. I tend to be picky when it comes to this stuff. He is very knowledgable about engines and how they should be cared for. My favorite thing about this place is that they will not hesitate to use OEM parts which is a plus! I'll be coming back here for future services.

These boys have been taking care of my family's cars for over a decade - seven different cars both foreign and domestic. There are not many people I trust to work on my cars but I am always confident leaving my cars here.
They are very friendly, prompt, and call with any questions or if there is going to be a small variation in price for whatever reason. They are excellent at communicating what is going on.
There is nothing shady about this place. I wholeheartedly recommend them.

Apart from being a mechanical genius, Dean is one of the most honest guys in the car business and his prices are more than reasonable. Wonderful service. Dean knows what he's doing and goes the extra mile to give great customer service. I am no expert and had taken my vehicle into another highly Yelp rated place which specialized in what I thought was the problem. This other place took a long time to inspect the vehicle but did tell me what was wrong which was not its specialty. I was uncomfortable with the proposed solution. When I called Dean he said to come by and he'd use a scanner to confirm the diagnosis, which he did, then took a real short time to make the repair. I believe the other guy was honest (did not charge me) but his solution would have cost at least four times more because he did not have the knowledge that Dean has. I will bringing this vehicle back to Dean from now on.
