Amazing customer service! My partner uses them for the company he works for, for their work vans. He called them ahead of time to let them know I was coming by. Our Nissan Versa was making a really annoying rattling noise. The front desk lady was super sweet and they got me in right away and fixed the problem. I wish I got their names because everyone working was super friendly, attentive, and professional! I went in on Monday 7-25-16 at 11am. I hope this gets back to them! I am a forever customer!

First let me say the reason why 2 stars number 1 is the front office woman who ever answers the phone not only is she rude but clueless,My daughter took her car there to get repaired and she got a phone call at noon stating that her 4 runner would be ready at 2 pm to come by and pick it up.
So we drive over to pick her car up and then told it was not even worked on yet. Mind you this car came in for an oil change and a battery and was towed in by one of their tow trucks at 7 am. So we leave and called at 4 pm that the vehicle was ready. back again to pick it up. My daughter gets 4 blocks from their shop and the car starts to sputter so back to golden state. So my daughter goes in and explains to the lady what had happened and she tells her there was no one to look at her car, Hello we just left 3 min ago. So i go in and i ask the lady at front office what's going on and she stares at me with a dumbfounded look on her face. No answer after a 1 min stare down so i ask with a tone what the hell was going on. And she still looks at me dumbfounded by this time i am pissed off. There is a man behind the counter that raises his voice at me and says he has no idea what's going on. and tells me that i need to tone it down and starts to get in my face that i do not need to yell. well the man happened to be the owner now i see where his employees get their quality from he has no idea what goes on in his shop. and we are told no one is available to look at her car, yet there are all these people walking around doing nothing.
For an owner to not know what is going on in his shop is pretty dang sad and to have someone answer the phones and return calls to customers that their vehicle is ready when not even touched yet sounds to me like ol jeff only cares about the ol mighty dollar.I will go some place else from now on and never refer anyone to this place again.

Golden State Car Care is the ONLY place I'll take my vehicles to be worked on they do quality work at fair prices. They never make you come out of pocket if you don't need to. They are honest and stand behind their work. AAA approved shop as well as a NAPA auto part retailer.

I own a small body shop directly behind Golden State auto care. I started using them by sheer convenience, being so close. And after the first car, and now 10 to 15 cars later I use them by necessity. Working once with Jeff and the crew, I knew that myself and any of my customers friends and family would be well taken care of in the most honest and ethical way. They will give it to you straight and you know it is an honest and fair of evaluation of your vehicles condition and needs. They most definitely break the mold when it comes to past experiences with a mechanical shop. In addition their towing service follows the same outstanding professionalism that Jeff has set. I'd recommend them to anyone.

Thank Heavens for Golden State Towing, fast, professional, ok to take home to mom.
Service call for a dead battery, with the car in not so accessible spot. Fast response, (less than 25 minutes late at nite) and they had a brand new battery for the car. Priced competitively with a great Consumers Report (battery had been giving a spot of trouble, so research had been ongoing but it died before the transplant could be done). Bert was the technician, and he maintained all settings in the car (sirius, am/fm, etc) during the exchange, in addition to having a pleasant demeanor and great personality. With a 6 year warranty, (3 yrs straight exchange, plus additional 3 more prorated) guaranteed anywhere in the US, we're happy.
On a personal note, having been raised by mechanics and folks in the trades we notice the condition and presentation of the tools, truck, and providers.( Working outdoors, with industrial fluids, can get you pretty dirty. We're intimately familiar with laundry generated by these jobs, so we don't necessarily downgrade for presentation) All three were ship shape and Bristol fashion. Absolutely beautiful people! Very kind, caring, and comforting from the Kayla at the front desk to EVERY mechanic even to the owner! I had a mishap with prior work done to my car, they were understanding (even about my lack of car knowledge) and assured me that they would take care of everything and even documented the damage due to another companies negligence. I'm new to the area and will not take my car anywhere else!
