Strictly business Smog checks.
The service is fast, the process is straight forward, and you get in and out with little hassle. I don't think you can do any better than that, as far as places like these go.
I can't comment on the other services offered, but for Smog only service, this place is great.

I came here Friday morning at 9:15, the process was quick!
This was my first time getting smogged since I bought my car (BMW) so I had a little bit of nerves. The guy that did it was very friendly! He plugged it in took 10 minutes and that was it! He never revved it either or ran it at a fast speed which was great! I always heard when you get your car smogged they do that. Nope!
After the 10 minutes he told me I passed! Such a relief, the service was excellent he was great. Friendly and in and out super fast. Definitely recommend!

**PREFERS CASH ONLY**
Came here at 5:00p.m. on Thursday evening. There was no wait. It was located in an automotive repair center with about four other businesses including a car wash. It is in the plaza immediately after the Burger King (don't turn too soon or you will end up in the exit of the Burger King drive thru).
All Autos Smog is in the back of the center. I wasn't sure where to park my car, but I probably could have pulled it into the driveway leading into the garage. There is only one small garage so it appears they could only do one car at a time. I walked into the front office and exchanged about three words with the man who was working there. He took my registration and my car key and left and did the smog check.
With the coupon I found on their website, my total was $40 even. I paid with my debit card and realized they had a sign posted saying they prefer cash (I don't carry cash).
Total time here was less than 10 minutes. They handle all the DMV transactions associated with it and gave me all the print outs as well. It was a painless experience and I would recommend using them. Only con was the lack of communication from the employee, but I wasn't there to make friends I suppose.

I was at the DMV for hours just to get my registration and was told that I needed a smog before receiving registration stickers. Knew that I would have to make some time to bring my car in to a smog station and wait again in line at the DMV (appointments online quoted 14 days until the next available time slot). It was 530 PM and felt that all smog stations would be closed, until I found All Autos Smog. They were open until 6 that day and I quickly made my way and arrived 10 min before closing. Thought I would be turned away, but Andy was more than accommodating. I was in and out in 20 min and bonus points...they even issue registration stickers! My experience at Andy's shop was fantastic and I will be going there for future smogs.

Came in here today to get my smog done. Such a fast and easy process. I was in and out in about 20 minutes. My car passed with flying colors. The guy was very nice, and kind towards me and my 4 month old. $40 bucks is what I paid which was an amazing price, with the coupon you can print from their website. I also loved the fact that their was a bunch of wedding magazines in their since I'm engaged, haha random. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone I know who needs a smog! Only downside is that there is barely any parking since there's so many businesses in this area. Other than that, all went well :)

Older cars are more complex to test. All Autos Smog agent does not have the knowledge to perform these tests on older cars. After the car failed. He gave me bad information on the remedy with an attitude which lead to added expense of repairs.

I saw this place off the freeway at 5:30pm. Without knowing what time they closed I decided to check it out. There was 4 people ahead of me and closing time was 6pm. The guy working there said he would smog my car but I just needed to wait a bit. I figure I just got lucky but after he pulled my car in, another person showed up and he did not turned the person away.
The place was clean and the guy was very professional. Great prices and he even accepted a $10 off coupon. I left at 6:30pm extremely satisfied with his work.
I will recommend this place to all my friends.

I was thinking with their 20% off yelp check in offer, it would help in the cost of getting my car smog check complete but after going in, the mechanic plugged in his hand device to my car to read and after it wouldn't turn on, he told me that I had a problem with my fuse and that he'd be able to fix it for me.
After looking at my fuses located near my engine, he said everything is good here in these fuses so it must be the ones located by my feet on the driver side. He then told me to go to my mechanic to get it fixed after telling me that he'd be able to fix the fuse. I guess he just doesn't do the fuses where he'd have to do some work, maybe rather fix the fuse where he can just bend over and look at my car than get down and actually look at it and figure it out and take my money, but oh well....
He was going to charger me $40 for a flat fee for everything but I found a cheap place in the same shopping center as my mechanic and they have a $29.95 check in offer which is less and more of a money saver for the trendy yelpper. Also they offer you a free soda if you write and show your yelp review while you are waiting. I don't know about you but I like to write my reviews once I know my service is done, complete and everything is working ok. After this situation today, I can pretty much say that our customer service transactions are done and complete.

Hey this guy was very hardworking and efficient! He and his wife also sells nice furniture! (They look well-made from the catalog and the prices are reasonable too.)
It's a one man show at this place, so if you're lucky without anyone ahead of you on at a not-so-busy time, then you'll probably be in and out in 20 mins. But if he's with a customer, then you gotta wait a little.
Best thing is, he also gives out stickers for a fee of $25 (I believe or something like that.) So, it's really a one-stop shop. Just remember to bring your registration and money and you can walk out with a sticker in your hand. No DMV hassle, don't even have to look up what time AAA closes.
The location is prime - next a car wash, a tire shop and I believe an auto body shop. You got everything in this little auto care plaza!
He's polite and nice, but I understand how he might appear as too "chop chop get this done" to some people that he doesn't have enough time to chit chat and socialize with you, but you're there for getting the sticker so you can go to places without risking being pulled over; it's best if you can get out of there as quick as possible!
I'd recommend this smog check to other people.
It's still kinda interesting that he sells furniture there which is totally random. But I must say it's a smart business advertising strategy because you're stuck there reading their catalogs while you wait and they make you wanna buy furniture...

I made an appointment at All Autos and arrived on time. There were two people ahead of me. The time dragged on, and other cars were being smogged. He explained that these people had walked in and he was busy! I said I had an appointment and it was already 30 minutes later. Then a young woman walked in and he took her before me. He explained that I had an old car, and her car was newer so it would take less time. By that time I had been waiting an hour. I said that is not how one should do business. I took my keys and left.

Would have been 1 star but I received a refund. My 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 diesel failed the monitor checks - because the tech put the "Certification Type" as CA & not Federal. This resulted in me spending over $100 at the Dodge dealer for unnecessary computer "updates", driving over 1000 miles (because I was told to, "just drive to reset the monitors"), going back to the smog station about once a week for 2 months to see if my monitor had reset, then going to the CA referee near Miramar College where I had to plead my case - but ultimately passed my truck's smog insp. All this hassle because the tech claims he "didn't see" the specs on the engine block that tells him to run either the CA system or Federal check. He was somewhat reluctant to give me the refund, but did. Posting this for other folks that are having trouble getting their diesel to pass the CA smog check. Good luck

I would have given a 5 stars but the guy attending here its a joke. I arrived on a weekday afternoon and there was no waiting line. So I came inside the business and I noticed the guy is playing on the PC but I did not give it to much attention. He told me to bring may car inside the garage and leave it on, I did so. Then he started the computer on the garage and went to the computer desk saying he needed to set something, after 5 minutes waiting I walked to the office door and I can see the guy playing on the PC again. I waited another 3 minutes then I slammed my car door then he came out and started the test. The test was done fast and once he was done I asked him if I should turn off the car, he said no leave it on, then he went to the restroom and I noticed he didn't wash her hands after that because he left the door open and I just heard the WC flushed as he came outside, immediately after that he went to the PC and continued playing for another couple of minutes until he came out and told me the car passed the test. After that I just paid with cash and left the place. He spent more time playing PC than actually testing my car which was very annoying. This guy needs to be more serious about his job.

Horrible customer service! This guy was playing a video game on the computer when I came in. Do you think he jumped to his feet to tend to me? Not at all! I literally sat there and waited for him to clear a level before he would help me. So once I presented him the coupon for the smog he began to do the work. (Hooking up his little machine to my car.) But get this...he was still playing his video game running back and forth from the car to his computer! Then he comes back and tells me my car failed! Everything passes except the catalytic converter. And the reason for that was because I had just changed my battery just prior to going to his shop. Doing this resets everything in the car. He then tells me all I need to do is drive 50 miles. I do that and bring my car back the next morning in which his sign says open at 8:00 am. Well it's 8:30 and no one is there. Once he finally shows up my car passes with flying colors. Then he has the nerve to charge me a retest fee! Never again! To the tech...Customer service goes a long way...you have NONE!!!

This is one the best and most efficient smog shops I've been to. This particular spot has a registration business attached. Seeing as how there's only one DMV on this side of the county, and the average waiting time is well over two hours. I would highly recommend using the services here to anyone who values their time as much as I do. There is an occasional waiting time of about 30-45 minutes. Definitely worth it though. So far I've brought three cars here this year, and have never left unimpressed. Andy the owner operator is extremely helpful when it comes to getting you back on your way quickly. He also stocks a cooler of ice cold drinks wich are fairly priced.. well, gotta go. My car is ready. Thanks for reading.

I suppose it's not a bad place to go as long as you don't mind a lack of customer service eventhough he doesn't seem busy . No small talk , lack of communication I suppose since his English might be limited which I don't mind, but friendlyness tracends language.
Cheap smog and I appreciate not being offered services I didn't need. Didn't take long and the coupon made the smog even cheaper.

Just wanted to say how happy I am with All Autos Smog and its proprietor, Tuan. My 2005 Scion xb had been having intermittent MIL problems, (the dreaded p0012 code) which is a known issue with my VIN for that years model. Wow.... This wasn't as painful and time consuming as I thought it would be. There was only one car ahead of mine. As soon as the owner took my car in it was out just like that. It took less than 10 minutes for the actual smog test. FANTASTIC!
Since I used my handy dandy Yelp app to check in I saved 20% of the fee! Yeahhhh, buddy!!
This spot does it all. If you're in a crunch and will do whatever it takes to avoid going to the DMV- they will do the smog test, register your car and give you your stickers right there and then (for a nominal fee)!!! What more can you ask for?!

I knew I would be in North County and I needed to get smog checked and registered so I found something local. You can make an appointment online but it's not totally necessary because they take walk-ins. Andy handled a large number of customers that day but still got everyone done in a very timely manner. I had put off my smog check til basically the last moment possible. It is usually such a hassle. However, I knew I had to get it done. A quick google search and this place came up with great reviews. Tucked away in a small auto specific section of San Marcos I found it. Walked in, and was helped immediately. No appointment or anything. They took my car in right away and at a cheaper price than most other places I looked.
There was only one gentleman here but he was helpful and quick at the same time. He took my Mustang in, and had it out in less than 15 minutes. I had even forgotten my papers like an idiot but that wasn't a problem. Very helpful. Very fast. Very easy. That's all I wanted. I will be going here from now on.

After spending much time looking for "Star" Smog place on Yelp & other reviews (this "Star" smog check was required by the DMV) I finally found one that not only had over-all good reviews and that they were honest and did the job. What I gathered from most reviews was that they were good but lacked in customer service, I wanted someone to do the job and honest work not trying to sell us on getting work done so I was willing to sacrifice the customer service. We got everything, good customer service and the job done quickly. My nephews car needed to get a smog and so did my husbands car so we all went this morning, I called and asked if we could show him the coupon from our phone that they have on their website, he said that was fine. When we got there we reminded him we had the coupon ready to show it to him from our phone, he didn't even look just noted that we had a coupon, quickly took care of us. He wasn't chatty or anything but I thought he was professional and friendly as he went through and showed us this amazing melon he had grown in his backyard. The total was $50 for each of the cars and it was quickly finished, both are older cars and we were concerned they might not pass (both 99's). I highly recommend this place, I checked so many in Escondido and San Marcos, the only one I found that seemed to have a good reputation in Escondido didn't have the "star" smog that I needed but it seemed like the more I looked at reviews they were full of people complaining of getting ripped off, owners bashing clients, some I looked at the BBB and they had the lowest scoring of "F"...I've done all the work for you...this one is a safe bet.

I believe this smog station is really good. The lobby is very nice and the job is done in no time at all. And it's also a plus that you don't smell any fumes from any of the cars while you are waiting because I have been to other smogs where it was like that. This place is great and so is the customer service. I will come back again for sure. And it's also cool they do some registration services also.

Went to this shop to have my truck smog and it failed because the computer on board is not ready, it failed because I just replaced the battery about a month ago, I guess the on board computer got rebooted. He charge me $41.00 for the service and told me to drive the truck for at least 80 miles came back and still not ready, he told me to drive another 40 miles and still not ready. I spent the whole Saturday driving around and burning my gas. I came back the following week with additional 120 miles on my truck and he told me that the computer on board is still not ready so he told me to drive the truck some more OR if I want he knows a GUY who would drive it for me for a FEE. So I decided to bring my truck to another station (AUTOGUYS -awesome service) which just on the opposite side of the street less than 500 feet. Told them what happened, he checked my truck and plugged in this handheld device and it says that everything is ready. PASSED MY SMOG TEST with flying colors. It's very stressful to be told that your vehicle did not pass the smog that's why I'm filing a complaint against this shop with BAR.

Needed a smog this morning....found this facility online....got there alittle before they claim to open...7:50am.....waited and waited....their sign says they opens at 8am. Thought I'd give them until 8:15am just in case someone was running alittle late....called at 8:15am and asked if they were open.....the man said they don't open till 8:30am..? I told him his sign said 8am!? He said he had to run errands this morning......SEE YA!

Few businesses rate 5 stars these days. This one does! $40.00 with a coupon for the smog test and certificate and all sent electronically to the DMV. Took 10 minutes. Great guy there - very knowledgeable and efficient. Liked him a lot. Nice waiting area and great location. Will definitely refer others to this shop and will be back myself.

The "Star" in Autohaus is real Jerry and his team are "stars" fixing German cars. I buy and sell German made cars for a hobby, fun and profit too, so every time I buy one it goes to Star Autohaus so Jerry can make it run better than new! He has always come through for me, always honest and fair priced... The strangest man ever! First he made a hell of a presentation and when on the appointed time I took my car for repair; he was too busy to get to my car "can you bring it tomorrow?" he asked. Eventually he attended to my car and charged nearly twice what estimates I had before coming to this area. For almost a year I took my two old Mercedes, sometimes with pleasant result but mostly with unpleasant encounters. The straw that broke the camel's back was when he told me to brig the diesel back for a minor quick adjustment to the engine mount that was a little noisy. I took the car for three times each time he said he is "too busy now" and that was after I made two specific appointments which he blamed on his office boy of whom he said " had said nothing to me" about the appointment and then at the end when I said you don't seem to want my business he just walked away. That was a month ago and I have never contacted him again. I did not write any comment because I wanted to do so when I had completely got over the experience. Over the year for the two cars I paid him over $2500 for various repairs he claimed I needed. He may be a good mechanic (and I don't know); but in my experience he is not a very nice person to deal with. Good luck to anyone taking his car to him.

I have owned my 325Ci for about 4 years now and I've taken my car to Jerry twice. I usually can fix most problems with a DIY manual and the proper parts but sometimes as you know, you just gotta take it to the professionals. Both times Jerry and his team brought my car back to life and at a great price too. I recently just returned from a 7 month deployment overseas leaving my car with a friend, lets just say he couldn't really fix any of the problems he created. So when I returned, I immediately gave Jerry a call and setup a date to drop the car off. He was always polite and professional, actually caring about the car and the work that was needing to be done. The fast turnaround time on the car with the amount of work that needed to be done is a testament to the level of AWESOME dedication Jerry and his team have to their customers. I only trust Jerry and his team with my vehicle and anyone that claims they don't take care of you and your vehicle, must have a bitter attitude about everything. I love Star Autohaus!!!

Almost went up in flames!!!!!! About 5 days after we got our car back from repairs at Star Autohaus, I was driving our car with my kids in the back. All of a sudden the engine started billowing smoke! When my husband looked at the car, he found out that FUEL was being pumped all over THE ENGINE! It's horrible to think what would have happened if that had ignited - thank GOD it didn't! The cause - a fuel line that was damaged by Jerry's work. When we brought it back to Star Autohaus, he even said they should have just replaced that line to begin with...! I will never take our car back to Star Autohaus- EVER.
