Frank at automotive classics came highly recommended by a friend of mine and I see why. Took my first classic truck a 65' Chevy c10 here and frank and his team were great. Very helpful and knowledgeable very professional. Converted drum breaks to disk, converted to power steering and did a GREAT job at dressing up my engine. The shop made me feel so welcome I picked up a new project that I will be bringing in as soon as possible. I Highly recommend automotive classics if you've got a classic car.

I adopted a 67 chevy truck that was dying on me on the freeway, in intersections, and while turning. I knew I'd be dead soon if I didn't get it fixed.
Frank rebuilt the carburetor, gave her a general tuneup, and did everything necessary to keep me alive. Months later, the truck starts immediately, without the need to fiddle with the choke or gas, and runs with absolutely no problems.
I'll be taking the truck back as soon as I have the money to get new disc brakes. Once again, to keep me alive.

If you have a classic car we have found the perfect mechanic! Frank let us know up front what our '61 Ford Falcon would need to be up and running reliably. He gave us updates as he did the work so nothing on our final bill was a surprise. We've had the car back for over a month now and it has been running beautifully. He is now our go to guy as we continue to beautify and restore this classic.

Very happy with Frank & team's work on my 1968 Mustang. I had some major work done here, such as an engine rebuild, and dash area overhaul. I also took it back when I needed a new carburetor and distributor. I can trust Frank to recommend the best parts/repair job, for what is needed, instead of what is the most expensive or the cheapest route to take.

The most kind considerate and honest man mechanic I have ever met. Frank is the owner of this shop of whom I was referred to him & he is the only mechanic who is direct no chasing and honest with me. After my warranty had worn out we have never found someone like Frank. My experience in the past has always been the cash first because you drive a very expensive luxury car so the advice it's always to maintain it it'll cost you specially at the dealership, always been the advice we get. And honestly the previous mechanics had taken advantage of us for a long time.
So I am so relieved to have found Frank, just thru word of mouth, you found truly of someone whom you can rely on and trust.

I can go on and on about automotive classics but seriously. If you own a vehicle you truly love and envision it's potential do yourself a favor and bring it here. Frank really goes out of his way to put that grin on your face that states you drive one bad mofo. He is the only mechanic that will go out of his way to make you the client happy. I can list 1000 things he's done for me that I know scrub dealership mechanics would write off or disregard.
Do yourself and your ride a favor and drop it off at classic automotive!!!

Found this place through a good friend of mine. This shop is definitely the best one I've ever been to. Customer service is outstanding. Frank and his team worked on my car and got it back to perfect condition the next day. I definitely recommend this shop to everyone. They are very honest and told me everything that needed to be done and which ones are still in perfect condition and I gotta say nobody can beat their prices here. Thank you Frank and the whole team for the awesome work. I'll definitely send people here and I'll be coming back anytime I need work done.

Best experience I've had with a shop ever!!!
I took my 73 mach 1 here and wow frank and his team fixed my brakes which were in danger of failing me, tuned my carburator, changed my oil, and washed my car i only expected my brakes but he hooked up the rest since it was a big job he really helped me out definitely coming back here for the rest of the work my car needs.

I have been taking my 1963 Ford Falcon to Automotive Classics for the past 11 years. When I call I say, "hey Frank it's Heather with the Falcon" and he knows who I am. I have gotten to know him and his family and this shop is the ultimate family business you can trust. All the work I've ever had done is excellent and guaranteed.
Today I dropped by, without a call, because multiple people said my tail lights weren't working. Frank stopped everything he was doing, fixed my tail lights, rear shock, oil change, pulled out a screw in my tire that was causing me stress and listed to my sad tragic life story about how I've neglected my car cause I'm financially broke.
I handed him my credit card when he was done, which I have done many times over the years since this is my only car, to which he said don't worry about it, "you've been a good customer all these years".
There aren't enough stars on Yelp to say how wonderful Frank is as businessman or person. I could never repay his kindness and this is only one story out of many times he has kept my little Falcon on the roads of Los Angeles. So long as I have my Falcon, the only place I will take it to is Frank at Automotive Classics.

Frank, Johnny & Jaquelyn are a family & that's how you feel when you go to Automotive Classics. I have a '71 Camaro that needed a bunch of work & Frank has been there every step of the way gradually turning a POS into a great ride. He is so fair & honest, I don't ever see taking my ride/s anywhere else. They go the extra mile for you & if some work fails or needs adjustment, Frank admits it & takes care of it at no extra charge. Frank is just a damn good guy.

I couldn't agree with the other two reviewers more. The prior owner was great, Frank stepped it up a notch.
First, he took my 1957 thunderbird and did a significant amount of work on it. The price was really fair, but he did it with love and care and the motor looks like an amazing classic now. He really beautified this car under the hood and that was above and beyond service. By the way I drove it from his shop to San Francisco and it ran flawlessly! 53 years old and absolutely the coolest car on the road we were driving on.
Next I brought in my daughter's Scion. It had a bad squeak when the AC was running. Long story short it was not easy but it was Man vs Machine and Frank was committed to getting it right. It took a couple extra days but my daughter is driving to Colorado and now I am worry free.

We just got my sons '64 T-Bird back from Frank at Automotive Classics and I couldn't be more pleased. They did a wonderful job and their prices were very fair. Everyone there was friendly and professional, including calling me during the process to "fill me in" and let me know they were still working on the car and what stage they were in. I will definetly be back for anything that may need to be done in the future.

This place was amazing. The best customer service bar none! I went for a basic oil change and he serviced me better than i had expected. Frank showed me exactly what he was doing without me having to ask. He showed me a couple things my Dodge Durango needed and he gave a very reasonable price. Definitely would recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

Under new ownership since about 4/2010. Previous owner was great. He was trustworthy, charged reasonable prices, car was ready on time. I could not ask for more.
But the new owner, Frank, manages to improve upon the previous owner's reputation !! I have a 2001 CRV Honda needing a 90,000 mile tune up, timing belt, etc. He not only did the job well, but detected other belts which were cracked. He charged me reasonable rates for the additional stuff too. He kept all of my parts so he could show me what was replaced. He also had my car washed (which was no small task since my car was filthy on the outside!) . But the icing was he also cleaned everything under the hood!! The engine area looked new ! Frank shows pride in his work .

Frank was smart to keep the same business name and phone number of the previous owner. He clearly wants to convince the same customers to come back for repeat business. He has convinced me !

Frank and his crew are top notch car guys. They worked on my '68 Dodge as if it were there own. I'm thrilled that they did the work needed to get me on the road, and I've had zero issues since. They always reached out to keep me updated on progress and budget. Unlike other shops, they understood I love my car and want it on the road even if it's not a numbers matching show car.

Many thanks to Frank and his awesome help in getting my car repaired in just the same day. He's very accommodating in dealing with customers that need a ride back to work or home. I dropped it off and when it was ready they called me and picked me up. Great service. And great work on the car. I was so happy with Frank et al. at Automotive Classics. We bought an old VW Eurovan Camper as total newbies. Took it into him and he made it road-ready and safe for our summer trip. Was willing to scout for parts and also does body/fittings (an awning). Fair prices, too.
