Herson was amazing, and the job everyone did at falcon was incredible. My car was unfortuitously scraped up by some power lines. I brought my car into Falcon and Herson said that they could get the car looking great again for an amount that was significantly less than most estimates. He wasn't lying, Falcon got the job done. Now my Car looks brand new again and i can't see any of the dents or scrapes that were once all over.

All of that sounds good and glad it only too you all a few months to draft your response. Facts are Falcon did in fact receive violations and the Bureau of automotive repair did have to come down there and teach you guys how to run your business and your paperwork was being done incorrectly. All the rust was seen and the pictures I have of the car before the work began shows it. All parts were provided prior to any work being done. The car looks significantly worse after Falcon worked on it than before it went into your shop. Again anyone thinking of going to Falcon if you have a old school classic car BEWARE of the butchers.
The deal was $4,000. And after they got some free Christmas spending cash (my money $3,000) they tried to change the deal.
Stay away from Falcon Auto Collision in Berkeley.
If I could leave a zero rating I would.

Herson lives and breathes customer service! He owns the shop, a family owned business, and he makes sure you feel like his most valuable customer.
Amazingly helpful with the entire process. Took care of insurance paperwork for me, ordered a rental car for me, and kept me updated throughout the entire process.
Fixed my bumper dents and scratches from a rearend accident and even cleaned the interior of my car for me! Talk about above and beyond!
Right when I first walked into the shop, he made sure I understood everything from the extent of the damage to the quote. I knew he knew what he was doing. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to make the headaches of car accidents that much easier on yourself!

In the past two years I've taken 2 cars, a 9-year old Toyota and a 2-year old Honda, to Falcon for very minor body work prior to selling them. The work done on each car was as promised - the paint was matched nicely, the curb rash was miraculously gone and the interior was nicely shampooed and vacuumed. My only complaint is that they needed more time with the Honda and I had to call to find out it wouldn't be ready until the next morning. The Toyota looked great and was sold in less than a day. The Honda looks great too and goes up for sale tomorrow...fingers crossed!

Couldn't recommend this place more. Brought my jeep in to get checked out- thought something was wrong with the starter. They not only searched for the best possible price but they realized they could fix the starter I already had and saved me the cost all together.
People are often worried about shady mechanics- you don't have to worry about this place!! Honest, friendly, and fast. I was not expecting the level of customer service I received from Falcon.
Herson was the man who helped me out. This place will be my go to mechanic from now on.

I desperately needed my Porsche detailed since it was being constantly assaulted by the rain and random bird poop. I called various places in Berkeley and couldn't believe how outrageously expensive their quotes were.
Herson, the owner, was not only VERY reasonable with his price but also really customer-service oriented. You can tell he is really invested in his business, which I always appreciate from an independently-owned business. The detail on my car was excellent - no errant wax stains and no visible swirls. My car is black so that's no small feat. I even received a free, new microfiber cloth to wipe down my car with later.
I highly recommend Falcon, and will definitely be returning.

Have my car repaired at Falcon Collision Repair is great experience. Herson, one of the brothers who own this shop is helpful and patient.
My car was severe damaged in an accident, and I was so worried cause I really didn't know anything about how to get it repaired. I searched on yelp for a shop and got Falcon Collision Repair, so I went there. After a quick estimate, I got a detailed information about how to recover my car. Surely I had a lot question cause I did't now much about cars, so Herson explained to my time after time about all the details. And he also tried his best to lower the price, which I really appreciated. The repair is fast as well. For my severe damage, it took less than a week for them to finish, with the damages totally gone.
I will be going there again to do a paint for my car. Really enjoy my experience at Falcon Collision Repair. Thanks to Herson and his brothers.

As someone who is always unfortunate to be a victim of hit and run, or someone bumping my car while it is parked in a lot I have used Falcon Collision many times. Herson and his brothers have been very accommodating every time I need their services. They will tow your car if needed if it is unsafe to drive. They will help you talk to your insurance to get your car repaired and even coordinate with a rental car company if your car needs to be in the shop longer than expected.
Their shop in Berkeley is really nice. There is a clean and comforatable lounge/waiting room for you to wait for your car. My car always looks amazing when Falcon Collision fixes it. It looks brand new. They went the extra mile by checking my brakes, the fluids, they even repaired my automatic window which was not working. You really get excellent service and work at this shop! Definitely recommend this place!

Falcon Collision Repair was an A++ experience for me. Herson, one of the brothers that owns the shop, was one of the most informative and honest body shop guys I came across during my shopping around the east bay. He took the time to explain to me all my options and gave me honest and thorough advice about everything.
I had to get 4 panels of the right side of my car repaired from a parking pole that hit me, and Herson not only gave me an estimate that was hundreds less than all others, he had it fixed in just 3 days when others were quoting me a week. And he took the time to repair some extra blemishes and my baby came out brand spanking new. He kept me fully updated on the whole process and his repair team is incredible and super efficient. Will be going back in the future for any body work.
Herson and his team also have a beautiful and extremely large space with state of the art machinery and equipment. I was well taken care of and highly recommend their services!

He works well with the insurance companies, good communication, doesn't take too long with the vehicle and the work is spot on. I can sum up my experience with Falcon in two words..."Nothing Compares"! I've had my Mazda 6 Sport worked in the shop from upgrading the LED lights, to a new coat of paint from bumper to bumper, and recently upgraded my wheels and tires. Herson, the owner, always found the time to help me (no matter how busy he was) with a pricing that was within my budget without sacrificing good, quality parts and service. George, Sal, Jonathan and the rest of Herson's crew are great mechanics/technicians who always made sure that everything was beyond satisfaction before giving me the green light to drive out of the shop. They are everything rolled into one package...great customer service and advice, and equally great technical and mechanical skills! I highly recommend Falcon and as you can see i always go back to them and will continue to be returning because they are absolutely GREAT!

I was involved in a hit and run and Herson at Falcon Auto Collision made my life so much easier. He dealt with the insurance company and car rentals agency for me. I didn't have to do a thing but file a claim. Herson called me with updates that i didn't even receive from the insurance company. He went above and beyond to help me. I'v never felt such at ease after my car being in such bad condition. Falson Auto repaired my car very quickly so i could have my car back and continue on without any set backs. Very bad experience don't ever take your car there. Claimed insurance but never replace parts, instead trying to fix it but insurance already paid for it. Went back and still didn't fix it, unmatched parts.

Five star auto body shop! Best in Berkeley area, highly recommended!
My car has a deep dent with paint scratch on the rear bumper, it's a gorgeous car so I have to take it to the auto body shop to fix it. The five star reviews on yelp brought me to Falcon, and it has been an perfect decision. The manager Herson is super friendly and honest, together with his stuff members, gave me a flawless experience. The body work was done perfectly that such a deep dent with paint scratch was completely gone. I request an auto detailing for exterior and interior as well, the car looked amazingly flawless and shinny after the job. I am completely amazed by the quality of the whole work. Plus, the bumper fix and car detailing work was done around 800$, which is a completely fair price. Highly recommend this shop for service, it's the best in Berkeley area!

Came to Herson and his crew here at Falcon to get an insurance claim fixed (someone hit me on my rear bumper). Honest about pricing upfront and looked to help me out. His quote was cheaper than another body shop in Berkeley so it was a no-brainer. It was my first experience with someone hitting my car and I was able to email him pictures to get the claim handled. He even set up a rental for me.
Communication was great throughout and he was very accommodating with my school/work schedule. Work was done by the time he had stated and my car looked brand new. He even got the car detailed; inside and out. He had someone return the rental for me and everything was well.

I had a mixed experience here. Herson was very personable and friendly, and gave the impression of really caring about his work and wanting to be honest with customers.
However, after Falcon's work on my car has been "finished," I'm a little dissatisfied.
My car was rear-ended so I took it to a few places for a quote on body repairs as well as trunk re-alignment (the trunk was not closing). Falcon's quote actually was significantly higher than another that I received, but I had gotten a good impression from Herson so I called to ask if he could match the quote--and he agreed, so Falcon it was.
During the repair, there were a series of delays because a part that Herson ordered apparently was not the correct one--multiple times. Eventually I was in a bit of a time crunch because I needed my car for a trip out of town, so at the last second Herson managed to get it finished and kindly offered to come in late one night after hours (when I returned from my work) to give me the car.
Upon picking it up, things seemed to be in okay order at first--except that the trunk is still not functioning properly. It will close now, but there is a problem with the latch or sensor; now it will not open with the switch, only the key, and the display constantly indicates it is open. Not a big deal, and I had to leave, so Herson said to just come drop it back by sometime and he would get that last part taken care of, no worries.
Well... When I did bring it back, he then explained that he would need another $300 to fix the remaining part. In addition, the alignment that was done on my trunk is off (I can no longer properly attach my bike rack to the trunk for this reason). I understand that the trunk sensor situation was perhaps "unforeseen," but overall I got the impression that the quality of the work done on my car was lowered in order to meet the lower quote. Herson casually and vaguely referenced doing some things differently in order to lower the price (not when I called to ask if he could match the quote, but once I had already made the appointment and brought the car in), so I suppose I should have expected something similar--but it doesn't feel like good business practices to me.
Overall I have decided to get the remaining repairs on my trunk done elsewhere.

Selecting an auto body shop is a bit like needing a lawyer, circumstances make it so that you are hoping for any outcome that makes the situation less unpleasant.
When my 17 year old son smashed his 2007 Maxima into a tree on Good Friday, I was facing an undrivable car, extensive body and suspension damage and liability only insurance coverage. Since every dollar spent would be my own, I called multiple body shops to explore who would best partner with my situation.
I contacted Falcon and their commitment to helping my predicament was exceptional. Herson came to the crash scene and provided an on site estimate. Since I was paying the full tab out of my pocket, we discussed how to control costs, where we were stuck with dealer parts (damn HID headlights) and a timeline for getting the car back in service.
The damage was extensive and the repair took a little longer than initially expected, but the car came back looking better than ever. Since the suspension was affected, the guys at Falcon had multiple test drives and did not release the car until it passed their standard of flawless driving.
While I hope not to do business again (accidents suck), I would heartily recommend Falcon to anyone in need of a auto repair partner and have found my preferred body shop.
To summarize my experience: pro-active, forthright, professional, collaborative, cost aware and excellent work.

Herson went out of his way to make sure the entire process was as easy as possible. Our truck looked as good as new when they were done with it.

Herson and his brothers did an incredible job on my civic after a hit and run left me with an enormous dent behind the driver's side door. Fixing it meant installing a new rear panel. Herson worked with my insurance adjuster to make sure everything was squared away and there would be no surprises. When I came to pick up my car, they'd even had it detailed a bit, free of charge. Recommended them to a friend and they had nothing but good things to say as well.

These guys will take care of your car. I took in my 2011 Honda CR-Z which had front-end damage. I had shopped around a bit with some of the other nearby body shops, but I had a good feeling leaving my car with Falcon. I trusted my instinct, and I was right, they did a fantastic job. The car looks brand spanking new. They were nice and easy to deal with. Herson did all the dealing with my auto insurance (AAA) and I didn't have to hardly do a thing. He even gave me a ride down to the car rental place. I will definitely keep coming back here if I need to.

I was in a car accident near Berkeley that made a mess of my car but falcon collision repair went the extra mile to make sure i came out ok. The manager Herson walked me through the process and towed my car from Hercules, and from haggling with insurance company's to giving me options on their services, they made sure i was taken care of.
I couldn't have found a better place to take it to.. I would definitely recommend these guys, very professional, 5 star service! My car was detailed on delivery and they did a masterful job on my car! A big thanks to Herson and George and everyone else at falcon collision repair.

I drive an East Coast car, a 2004 Chevy Blazer. Having come from the land of snow and salt (Upstate New York), my car has some problems that are rarely seen out here by repair and body shops. In this particular case, my driver's door was rendered useless by rust and corrosion. Initially, a door spring popped out one day. It was a minor inconvenience, but one I was able to get by without fixing for at least a month. Then one Wednesday morning my door simply wouldn't shut. As I was no longer able to shut and lock my vehicle, I had to scramble to find a body shop in a new locale in which I didn't know any good leads--not an ideal situation by any means. But I was helped by the power of Yelp! Falcon Collision had received largely positive reviews and was conveniently close to my location in North Oakland, so I thought I would give it a try.
Herson and his brother George were helpful and direct from the outset. I think they didn't realize exactly what they were getting themselves into right away, as the job ended up lasting much longer than they had initially expected, but they were communicative and honest throughout the process. Herson at first told me that I should be able to pick up my car the following day, that Thursday. As it happened, however, the corrosion of the metal behind the hinges was much more serious than they had at first anticipated, and I didn't get my car back until that Monday. I was extremely worried throughout the process that the additional time would rack up the labor costs, and that I would end up paying hundreds of dollars more than the initial estimate. But when I returned to pick up my car, Herson kindly informed me that he wouldn't charge me any more than what they had initially quoted me, despite what I can only assume was many hours of additional labor. So despite my concerns, my experience with Falcon Collision had a happy ending, and I would certainly recommend them due to their honesty and professionalism.

Falcon Collision is my car's home away from home. Seriously, the car gods frowned upon me for buying a FWD car. They are just not happy with my decision to not fix my Subaru after a bad accident a few years ago. Ever since I bought my new car, it has been a serious headache, because while it requires essentially zero maintenance (besides standard stuff), but it's an accident and break-in MAGNET!
So, Falcon is my body shop of choice. My Scion has visited... hmmm, one time in 2008, two times in 2009, and soon to be the first of 2010.
Herson is really easy to deal with and his team put out quality work. They'll coordinate your towing and everything to help alleviate your headache early on.
My 2006 car might have crap resale value after all the accidents on its Carfax, but at least Falcon makes it look shiny and new, each time.
They also do superb tint work -- be sure to ask about it!

I backed up into a pole at a gas station which left a huge dent in the corner of my bumper. The damage went beyond the bumper and I spoke with a few auto body shops. One shop with amazing reviews was asking a ridiculous amount. I knew I was being way over charged since I did my research and got various estimates. I finally decided to go with Falcon because of their stellar reviews and competitive estimate. I'm super happy I did, not only was my bumper fixed and repainted within 24 hours but it looks brand spanking new! I will for sure be returning and referring everyone I know to Falcon. I love Falcon Collision! Hopefully I won't ever have a reason to return, but if something were to happen to my car again these guys are the only ones that I would fully trust to take care of my baby. They made it as easy and stress-free as possible for me to get my car repaired, and the work was flawless. Way beyond what I was expecting! You would never be able to guess that I ever had a dent in my car. Not to mention, they are SUPER friendly and genuine. They give an honest estimate, and a realistic time frame on returning your car.
Its not too much like a typical body shop, but I have had 2 vehicles worked on, and have reffered a few more people.
