Well priced. Good service. Great people. I've had both regular and synthetic oil changes done here. About $30 for a regular and $57 for a synthetic. Finished in 30-40 min.
Last week the started went out on my boyfriend's Hyundai Santa Fe. I called RJM that afternoon and was told to have it at the shop when they opened at 8am. We were given a fair price by 11am and the car was fixed by 5pm! Thanks so much for fixing it asap! We'll continue to bring out cars to RJM!

RJM Auto Repair is by far the BEST auto shop I've been to. The quality of service is very professional, quick, and very affordable!
The first time I came here, it was for a brake change. My husband did some research and found that RJM offered us the cheapest quote for all four brake pads. When we came in, we found that this place was located in a beautiful, quiet, location, right of US 101. Dropped off the car, told the car would be done in a few hours. During the brake change, Rob said that he found something wrong with the brakes. Since he couldn't repair it, he replaced the part for FREE! Also, he told me that he offered a service to clean the headlights which brought my total for brake change, head lamp restoration, and free part all for about $200, RIDICULOUS! Isn't it?! At least I thought it was ridiculously AWESOME.
So now I'm here again, for an oil change. How much do you usually pay for a FULL synthetic oil change? I usually pay around $80-$100, here it's only $60 (with tax! for a 4 cylinder)! Isn't that unbelievable?! My favorite part about this place is that it's run by the owner: Robert J. Merrill. This guy is very knowledgable, he has 24 awards hanging in his office showing his credibility, he's very flexible, and provides great customer service! From now on, this is my place for anything they can repair. RJM ALL THE WAY!

Thought I already submitted a review.
I finally found what I think is rare these days an honest mechanic. he takes pride in his work and quotes a fair price. I was going on vacation and as always I waited till the last minute to get my car serviced he gladly fit me into his schedule which I'm thankful for. He did a curtesy inspection and found what could of turned my vacation into a nightmare. He identified my velocity joint boots were torn which surprised me I thought I had checked not to long ago. So I told him I would think about it and went home to see if I could do it myself (yes I'm one of those back yard mechanic's) I discovered that it was beyond my capability to fix so I called Robert back and asked if he could get it done in time and he said he could ( my wife looked at me and told me we should of left it she was right) again Robert to the rescues. He called about 30 days after the job to check if I had any problems, told him everything was working great. Never have had a follow up on a job this really surprised me. Went to pick it up and he showed me the old velocity joints and yes I don't think the old ones would of made the trip. Yes I recommend him for your mechanical needs I certainly will be taking mine there (awesome guy). Thanks Robert for all your help keeping me out of hot water with my wife! lol

Fantastic. Robert repaired our car when no one else could. For the last two months, while we were living in Kansas, we went to several mechanics including the Lexus Dealership and spent hundreds of dollars for a repair but without results. We moved to Tumwater for a short term temporary job and looked on Yelp as to who was the best. RJM, of course, won that contest. Robert knew exactly what the problem was and repaired it. Incredible. The cost of the repair was very reasonable. We would not go anywhere else for repairs. He is the best! Thank you, Robert!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I almost decided not to give a review with so many 5 star reviews already on here, but I still felt the need because the service here is that fantastic. For the first time ever I am not worried about being over charged or paying for unneeded repaires because I am a woman. I just know I will be taken care of and charged fairly. Stopped in to RJM twice simply to ask questions. Robert was friendly, accommodating, and didn't make me feel silly about my lack of "car" knowledge. This week I had a much larger need, and after contacting 3 different locations for the repair, RJM was not only the most reasonably priced (1/2 of what Firestone and Sears quoted), but also the most quick and efficient. Robert had the job done in no time at all. He didn't try to sell me anything and he didn't surprise me with additional "necessary" work. I'm a fan!

After calling over 10 mechanics in the area and receiving different quotes from each of them I decided to have the work on my vehicle done here.
The price given to me was drastically cheaper than anyone else in the area and that was before Robert threw a 10% military discount on the repairs! All the parts needed were already on hand and he promised to have the car back the same day I dropped it off.
The next time I need work done I will once again bring my car to Robert. He is trustworthy, a hard worker, and he doesn't try to take advantage of a situation to make an extra dollar.

I am so glad that I found RJM!! I have recommended him to all of my friends. He is honest and only repairs what needs to be done. I had Robert do a buyer's inspection on a Tacoma. Robert identified some potential issues that led me to choose not to purchase the vehicle.
I was satisfied with the inspection and the level of detail Robert went to. He acknowledged the areas he thought there could be an issue but could not verify. I doubt other mechanics would have found identified some of the issues.

I made an appointment to get my brakes checked out because they've been squeaking for awhile. I was positive that I needed to get new brake pads, and was expecting to pay several hundred dollars for that. Robert was very honest, and did a free brake inspection beforehand, and let me know that I still had about 80% life left on my brakes, which surprised me since I've had my Camaro for 3 1/2 years. He did, however, let me know that it would be a good idea to replace my rear tires before winter. So we looked at my options, and I decided to get all four tires replaced. Robert had my tires within two days and put them on my car that same day. I will definitely be back for my routine oil changes and tire rotation. Thanks, Robert!

Had a problem with my idler freezing up after a long road trip from Ca. Being new to Olympia I wasn't familiar with any of the auto shops in the area nor do I have an easy time trusting some random mechanic to work on my car. I had my SUV towed to "the other guys" due to needing a quick repair and got an estimate from them that just seemed by all standards, overpriced. I was somewhat worried because I only had a few more tows left on my AAA account and didn't want to have to leave my car someplace I didn't trust. On a whim I called Robert because we happen to coincidentally share the same initials in our name (RJM) and thought "what do I have to lose"? In any regards when I talked to Robert and explained my situation, he reassured me that he could fix it once he assessed the problem. Not only that but he also guaranteed his work and that he could offer as much if not more then 10% less then what "the other guys" were offering. He seemed reasonable and also knowledgable of the make and model of my SUV, so I sent him a few pictures of the idler and he got back to me within the hour offering a modest estimate. He even stayed after hours waiting for the tows guys to deliver the car and was very professional when I talked with him in person. All in all, Robert is one of the most reliable mechanics that I have ever met. He was able to fix the problem within a days time, didn't overcharge for anything and was just a really great guy to meet. I will be recommending him to any friends or family that are seeking help with their car troubles. If you are looking for someone trustworthy, do as I did and take a gamble on Rob, you wont be disappointed!

Thanks Robert for the good job on my F250 2001 front differential overhaul, used to be a line mechanic I knew this was a big job. It was ready to go in one day, drives like new again. This shop is very well organized with quality tools, Robert has a wall full of ASE mechanic certs in the office. So this is way overdue because this business has just been an absolute blessing to me these past few months after I bought my new (used) car and took off the next day on a 5 week road trip with it. Robert is the real deal. He is honest and really walks his talk; he provides top notch service and does it at a price that saves people money, which is his stated goal. I would recommend him to anyone who needs a trustworthy tech (don't we all?) who does great work. I had a major issue with my car and he saved me over $700 from what other shops would have charged me.
