Jerrys replaced my daughters starter on car in September. This week her starter went out. We took it to the BMW dealer where we live and they worked with Jerry's on replacing it, due to it being under the parts warranty. Picked up her car and the service manager told me he was very impressed with Jerry's he said it was very unusual to have a warranty offered that payed for a new part and all most all the labor my bill was minimal. He also said he had a mechanic that was saying his son goes WSU and Jerry's definitely will be where he will be sending his son while he's in Pullman. Thank you Jerry's for standing behind your work and being so easy to deal with! When you have impressed a service department at a dealership I think that says a lot about your business.

Jerry's Auto is well organized and they stick to a schedule. They are friendly, pay attention to details and stand behind their work. Are they the cheapest in town? No, but "cheap" means poor quality. Jerry's is not - neither is Nikon but their optics? Top shelf. Jerry's categorizes their maintenance so you can find a level you can afford which suits your needs. It's a good place.

Please do not take your car to Jerry's. I recently took my car there for two repairs. The heater was not working and the car was periodically stalling in traffic. I made an appointment for 7:30 am to have the car dropped off and looked at. They never called me to let me know how it was going that day. I called them at 4:58pm to see if I could pick up my car and they had not even looked at it yet. I reluctantly agreed to let them keep the car another day. Again the next day they never called me to let me know how it was going. I called them at 3 pm, apparently they had finished checking it - 30 seconds to read the engine light code and do no diagnostics, and then they saw the coolant levels were low and decided that was the cause of the heating problem (another 30 seconds). He said it would take time to get together an estimate because these repairs would be very complicated. He never called again, so I showed up in person at 4:40pm because I needed my car to get home (in the snowstorm). They did not have the estimate completed so I sat and waited for over 40 minutes while they watched youtube videos, chitchatted, listened to music, mopped the floor, etc. Finally he had the estimate ready, and they charged me $180 for said estimate and only scanned the codes and noted the coolant was low - did not fix anything. They did not explain the results well and did not even give me a useable description that I can take to another mechanic. He told me he could get the part ordered for the check engine code tonight and fix the car the next day (this was at 5:28 pm). I took literally 1-2 minutes to think about it, came back and he told me I was 57 seconds too late to order the part and it would take another week to fix the car - after I waited two days without my car for them to even look at it, and then 40 minutes in person for the estimate!!! I am providing an update to my earlier review. As readers can see, Jerry responded to my original review by admitting that "he blew it." However, when I contacted him to ask if he could refund my money or provide credit for the visit mentioned in my review, where he did not provided service but charged me $100, he did not respond at all to my request. I think it is admirable that he admitted his error online to the public, but what is really essential in customer service is how he treats the customer.

I have taken my car at Jerry's Auto Repair several times and every time I brought my car for repair, I have very positive experience. I have brought my car here for minor and slightly major repair. I am very impressed with Jerry's professionalism, honesty, and he is a man of integrity. He never tried to screw me over because I am a woman and he looks out for my best interest. He never pressured me to buy his products or the repair he was offering and he was always hands off, allowing the customer decide what they want to do. This is the very reason why I keep coming back to Jerry's Auto Repair and even if another mechanic may offer the same repair for a lower price, I'll still come back to have my car repair at Jerry's because he was good to my car and to me. I trust Jerry with taking care of my car. It's the customer service he provides, and he follows-up, by calling, sending e-mail, and sends you reminders of when you need to get oil change for instance and sends you coupon in the mail to help save money.
It is very hard to find a reliable, professional and honest mechanic anywhere . I trust Jerry with my vehicle and know that the repair is a tip-top quality. He will at least do the best he can if he can repair the issue with your vehicle. If he cannot, he or someone in his business will refer you to a mechanic who can.

I don't know why this place has such horrible reviews. I went here for an engine light problem after an oil change at Jiffy Lube. They successfully identified the problem as a vent control solenoid going out, and once identified fixed it within 5 hours. While it cost me 278$ for an inspection, a run through of my engine light system to identify the error code, and a full vent solenoid replacement, it was worth it. I found the service great, the shuttle service man Greg and I had wonderful conversations, and they gave no indication of attempting to rip me off.

The prices for most services are WAY too high (often 25% higher prices than other area mechanics), but their oil changes are reasonable (around $30). Watch out for shady dealings like trying to upsell you to fancier products to pad their profits. One good benefit is their shuttle service. Try ProTech for better prices and service (they even gave me a shuttle ride, even though it isn't advertised).

After a couple local shops turned down doing a timing belt on my Volvo Jerry's stepped up and agreed to do it. There was a small issue with the timing being slightly off after it was completed which resulted in a check engine light right after I picked the car up (newer Volvo are very finicky when it comes to that, no engine damage occurred). They stood behind their work and corrected the issue promptly and even gave me a ride out of their normal local, all with no additional cost. The only thing I would like to have been done differently was to have been approached that they did not have the have the specific cam locking tool...I would have gladly split the cost of the tool ($65 dollar tool from a Volvo specialty shop) with them to avoid having to set the timing again, it's not a small job...especially having to do it twice. I would certainly let them work on my vehicle again based on their warranty and willingness to make things right.
