I was recently rear ended on 2/29/2016. I decided to take it to Bell's AutoSport because of the quality of their work.
When I went there I was well received and well taken care of. They answered all of my questions and did impeccable work. My car looks brand new. They also fixed a few other things outside of the rear bumper. Thank you Bells!

Fair warning to all, do not fall for Gail Bell's friendly manor. First, they tried to return my brand new 2016 vehicle with absolutely awful paint, for which her entire family apologized (two sons and her husband who told me he painted the car himself). Being the victim of another driver's damages, the other driver's insurance company would not pay for the additional rental charges for overdue and inadequate repairs. I fully expected this as it's not the insurance company's fault that I chose Bell's Auto. So, no problem up to this point, I was very understanding, stuff happens, and logically Gail Bell offered to pay for my extended car rental so I could still have transportation while they corrected their awful paint work. Nobody's perfect - right? Our email threads regarding all this is documented.
And, that's all well and good, EXCEPT... she DID NOT pay the extended rental charges due! Didn't even tell me as I learned via my VISA statement. The 3rd Party Insurance Co. confirmed that they only authorized 7 days payment. When I immediately called Gail Bell regarding the $905.00 charged to my credit card by Enterprise, she said " sorry..." and will pay me back next week. Needless to say, she never did, so now (months later) VISA is going after Bell's Auto for reimbursement of damages. Based on that result, I may have no choice but eat the $905 + interest, or sue them both in Small Claims Court. How fun!
When I called today to ask her politely one last time for my money, she actually told me that it was really my fault! Yeah, all of us who's parked car gets hit is really the one at fault. Apparently, Gail's a real thinker as well as a businesswoman.
So, ask yourself... Do you feel lucky? Well, do ya?? Because you better be, or you could end up like me too.

I loved the customer service of this shop, Ralph, Gail and their Son were extremely nice and homely.
I put my bike down in a parking lot a few days after i bought it and i took it to Bells. Insurance covered everything, and the best part about it, is Ralph was able to swing getting custom parts put on everything the insurance company was gonna replace, so i only payed $350 in my deductible for well over $2000 in parts and labor.
the only bad thing i would say, is they had the bike longer than ive owned it. it took them over a month to change the handlebars, exhaust, put a passenger seat/sissy bars/ passenger pegs, as well as a few other miniscule things. it was so frustratiting waiting, mostly becuase i just wanted to ride again.
so be ready to wait, although itll be worth it

Been coming to this place for over a decade and always had good service but sadly after this last experience, I will NEVER go back there again. Took almost a week to remove my aftermarket bumper and they damaged my stock bumper in the process, lost parts needed for it and asked me to pay for them to fix the damage they caused
. Didn't want to have any issues so paid them anyway. I figured it was only money and this will be the last time I ever pay them for services. Do yourself a favor and take your business somewhere else.

My conversation starts as such. Friendly lady on the phone I proceed to tell her I had my daughters car fixed there less than 2 years ago. Friendly on the phone still. I then tell her that one of my daughters tire had a flat on the freeway and had to be taken to the tire shop. I tell her that my husband was informed that All her tires had to be replaced as they were all bald and which of course one already flat. I told her that the tire guy said with less than 20k miles put on car within 2 years of having all the tires replaced with new tires on a luxury car seemed odd. Again I was only relaying information. I didn't think she was a tire expert nor did I think it was her fault!!! Before I even get to ask what tire company was used for her tires she FLIPS out and starts to yell at me on the phone!!! I had to hold the receiver away from my which then my co workers heard her yell. I asked her why she was yelling and her reply was how I was talking to her. I told her to stop yelling that I was relaying what my husband was told because he wanted to know what tire company they had used. She keeps yelling and says "we use a couple of them and I would have to look at our records from 2 years ago to find out!"
Um okay. But why are you yelling at me for telling you what had happened and because I wanted to find out what company they had used. She keeps yelling at me on the phone and was verbally aggressive and cynical. Her reaction was simple... DEFENSIVE. But why??? Finally after listening to her yell at me I told her this is great customer service. She replied by saying "well your upsetting me!" Not sure how letting her know what had happened and trying to find out what tire company was used is upsetting. If anything what would of happened if bad tires were placed by this company they used and something horrible happened to my daughter or any of their future clients?!?!
My coworker had to grab the receiver from my hand and hung up on her. She said why are you on the phone getting yelled at by this woman!
Speaking of customer service she says I remember your daughter we took very good care of her... Really because you can't remember 2 companies you might of used for replacing my daughters tires but you remember her?!?! Yeah no you actually gave us horrible customer service then too.
Getting an estimate and such was easy... Only reason I took my daughters car to you was because years and years ago I had taken my car to you. And at that time you knew who had referred me... A company my family owns. Oh you were so sweet and kind. Not so much when I didn't drop that name again. Nope my daughters car SAT there for weeks and not a single thing was worked on. You said it was my insurance company who already went and saw the car and cut the check. It sat until I called to find out what the update was on the car. Oh it's moving along. We drove by and yeah we saw the car still looking exactly how we left it.
After bumps along the way I get a call from HER telling me it was all fixed!!! So I leave work early to get the car so that my daughter wouldn't have to take the bus to school. I get there and OOPS she made a mistake and the car was not even ready!!! Bumper was still on the ground. I told her I left work! She apologized over and over again. She said it'll be ready in 3 days... No call to tell me it was ready at all!!! I call and guess what still not ready.
Another week later after poor communication over and over agin she sends me an email telling me it's ready. After many disappointments and non communication I had to call to make sure it was actually ready.
So I'm not sure how she treated my daughter every well.... Hard to get updates, estimated fix time turned into weeks and weeks.
So maybe your great customer service comes in waves. HORRIBLE!!!!

Bell's Auto is the absolute best and my only option ever. I have taken all of my cars there in the last few years, the level of perfection of the work and their professionalism is way above the rest. My most recent experience was 3 weeks ago, I had the front bumper, front plastic support, all trim, and lower spoiler redone as it had road damage as well some scratches and other imperfections from the previous owner. The results are stunning, the car looks absolutely perfect, the quality is something else.
If you want the highest quality of work from the nicest and most professional team, Bell's Auto is the only place.

After wrecking my 06 Boulevard, it was sent to Bell's for repair. Right off the bat, I loved that Bell's was a friendly, family owned business (not usually 2 things you can get in one place anymore). I had some contact with Gail, and once I was able to move around a bit I went in and met everybody. Both Gail and Ralph, their sons, and all the other staff I had contact with were great, and Ralph would always take a few minutes (often more than a few) to talk to me and make sure that everything was being handled correctly and all my questions were answered.
Even though I was a bit pesky, calling and checking in, Gail was always happy to take my call and answer my questions, and answered e-mails very promptly. In addition to the work that had to be done to make it rideable again, I also had Ralph paint my forks, tank instrument panel, and spedo cover. There was even a part confusion at one point and Gail got it handled.
Overall, it was a very nice experience, and with it being such a friendly atmosphere I am looking forward to continuing service there.
10/10, 5 stars, whatever. This place is great.

Awesome service and great people. I have had tl3 cars and one motorcycle repaired here. They bend over backwards to make sure your vehicle is repaired correctly with the insurance company. A+ work, wouldn't take my toys anywhere else.

(Turns out there's more than one Bell's Automotive in the area, so this review from two years ago is for how they were two years ago. Here it is in its original form.)
We took hubby's motorcycle here on an insurance claim repair. We live in Long Beach, and the insurance company gave us the option of this place or a shop all the way up in Van Nuys. (As if!)
We will never take anything here for a repair ever again.
It's not that the quality of repair work is bad. Good repair work actually saves these guys from a one star review.
But wow, do these guys need a crash course in efficiency, clear communication, managing expectations, and not wasting their customers' time. I haven't had this much runaround, this many excuses, or this much needless delay from an auto shop in years.
Nearly every deadline they gave us for when the bike would be ready - over the course of the five weeks they had it - was wrong, wrong, wrong, right up to and including when we arrived - at exactly the time they asked us to for our pickup - and no one who knew anything about either taking our money or the actual bike repairs could be found. That was kind of the cherry on top.
We lost count of the times that they said they would call us for an update and didn't. We lost count of the times that - when pressed for an actual timeline that the bike would be fixed in - they shrugged and told us they had no way to predict when the parts would be in, it was totally out of their hands. Of course, by the time they are ACTUALLY honest with us about having no real clue when the parts would come in, and that they are at the mercy of one single OEM supplier for all of it, hubby's motorcycle was in pieces on their shop floor, and they'd thrown away some of the parts already (we didn't find this out until later), so no putting it back together to take somewhere else until the new parts arrive, sorry! So we had to waste an additional 3 weeks without a key commuting vehicle when any other shop in the city could have had these relatively minor repairs turned around in a week, two week tops.
It's a family operation, which should seem heart-warming during this time of mega corporate callousness, until we arrived to pick up the bike. The ONLY person who was there to greet customers - at a time that they themselves scheduled to arrive and knew we were coming - looks like she's dressed for junior high school in a tube top, stretch velvet pants and - I kid you not - flip flops, and doesn't know how to do anything but smile and answer the phone. I'd have forgiven that if the service was good in all other respects. But it so wasn't. After hanging out for a while eventually the patriarch of the operation arrived (I think he's the backbone of the shop, and he seems knowledgeable about car repair). But even he could not find most of our old parts, which during previous phone conversations he indicated he'd be saving for us.
I may, once my annoyance has cooled off, upgrade it to a three star review, for the sole reason that the work itself was good.
This is Southern California. If you're going to keep your customer's vehicle longer than a week, two at the most, they should know the score going in instead of having to wait until they are on the hook with no way to turn back.

I was looking to have my Ferrari Challenge Stradale 360 bumper and sideskirts painted and began asking around to see who to go to.
I found out about Bell's Autosport from my close friends at BBI Autosport. The guys at BBI specialized in very high end Porsches and had nothing but great things to say about them, so I decided to stop by to check it out.
I was so impressed by their customer service and Ryan's personal knowledge about Ferrari's. He knew more about these cars than the body shop techs at Ferrari of NB.
They were willing to work with me and did an excellent job on the paintwork. The Rosso Corsa Red matches perfectly and I will definitely be taking my other cars here and referring others.

I brought in my 2013 Hyundai (I know, not as fancy as some of the other cars listed in the reviews) because I was rear ended. I brought it in on a Monday and picked it up on Friday. Not only was the repair above and beyond my expectations, but it's perfect! AND, they detailed my car too! Gail was one of the nicest people I've ever met. She was SO kind, so sweet, and worked directly with my insurance as much as she could (I'm a busy Mom of 2!) Honestly, because of her niceness, I wouldn't go anywhere else. Such thorough, detailed customer service! Her husband and son were both there as well and they were so nice also! If you want a company who genuinely cares about your car, like you care about your car, then come here! Reasonable prices and honest thorough work.

Bell's Autosport did an amazing job on my Vulcan Custom. Gail was a delight to deal with! This is how a family business should be run. Communication was excellent, and I was kept in the loop every step of the way. After my first call with Gail, I knew that they would take excellent care of my baby. I got her back last week-end, and she looks just as good as the day I brought her from the dealership. Their motorcycle knowledge was amazing, and that's how you know they know what they are doing. The passion can be felt. I can't wait to take my bike on a long ride now!

Bell Autosport took for ever to fix my car. This place messed up my car more then they fixed the body work.
1 They scratch my front bumper and then they charged me to fix the scratch that they did.
2 Someone at that shop put nixs under my door handle and when I took it back they said wasn't them and car has been out to long it was only out a weekend
Btw my car sat in my garage that weekend because I was out of town.
3 they left a lot of overspray on my car.
I had to take it to another body fix the nixs and the Over spray.

I crashed my 04 Z06 at an autocross event and did not know where to take it. For those who don't know corvettes have fiberglass bodies and are very hard to repair. The car is also my daily driver so I needed it back ASAP. A buddy of mine had a fender bender in his civic and told me about Bells. Not only did they have me back on the road in no time, I talked them in to welding me an aluminum roll cage. This is a family run business and you can tell everyone in the family has a passion for cars on one level or another. I guess the eldest son (Ryan) has gone to Italy and/or France and has very specialized training for working on Ferraris and Lamborghinis. Since crashing my car I have been back for a wide body kit and a custom paint job. I would recommend this shop to everyone I know.

Not a fan - poor customer service; not very professional or timely with returning phone calls or responding to questions. We felt like they gave us the run-around just to milk us and our insurance company for more money. Also, when we got our car back, we noticed imperfections in alignment of doors, chipped paint very soon afterward, radio no longer working, certain pieces missing for the convertible top, e.g. the seal to keep the cover on tightly was missing from one side. It took them WAY too long to do the job, and it wasn't even done right. Never taking my expensive car, or any car, there again!
