I'm the owner of a replica Mystery Machine and needed some work done before a car show. My neighbor recommended Lentz Automotive, that he'd been coming here for years.
They were STOKED to have the Mystery Machine in their garage! Even more excited to work on a vehicle without computers. Real mechanical work. A real carburetor to tinker with.
These guys know their stuff, offer fair prices, and are honest. Seriously, what more do you want from a mechanic? They have a customer for life!

These guys are the best! I won't take my vehicles anywhere else.
They are honest and kind. They always do their best to find out what's wrong, and they always do a great job fixing it. They keep in contact and always let me know how much and how long before they start fixing.
I've been taking my vehicles there for years, and they never disappoint. I have my car there now, and they're doing their very best to find out what's wrong with it.

I warn anyone who plans to take their vehicle to Lentz Automotive Repair. Their associacates were very unorganized and extrememly unprofessional when conducting business with me. Not once or even twice but three different times I was told a date in which my vehicle would be ready for pick up not one of those dates were even close to acurrate. I understand that things happen and a job may take more time. It's also my understanding that when the completion of a job is delayed typically the business informs the customer. Not only was I never informed of any one of the three times the job was delayed. After finally receiving my vehicle back I noticed the leather on my driver seat was slightly ripped and dirty with grease as if there was no seat protector put over the when the mechanic was working on my vehicle. I urge anyone planning on going to Lentz to go else where . Other than the issues listed above their was an old man that handled my payment who was one most unpleasant and had no business dealing with customers. The man who was said to be the owner did apologize for the lack of communication following the second delay but then turned around and failed to communicate the third time it was delayed. Hope who ever does go to Lentz has better luck than I did.

DONT GO!!!!!!!!!!! We went there for them to replace a powersteering pump.. they said they warrenty labor just not the part. 2 weeks later are car was making a ticking noise my husband checked it out but couldnt find the reason. 1 weeks after that we lost complete power steering with the exact same problem there was the first time. Same noises, same problem. The only difference was now are power steering was leaking fluid(and it didnt before) When my husband took it to them (only being a month max since they "repaired" it) the manager said We had to prove they didnt replace it correctly. That isnt what they said when we brought it to them. So now were stuck with no power steering.. They charged us 200 dollars for something that only worked 3 weeks!!! Also are neighbor took there car to them for a power steering replacement only 1 week went by and theres went out again.. but when they took it back they repaired it again for free. One paying customer isnt any different then the next so why are they wanting to charge us but not them.. It makes no sense. Don't go you'll never know if they actually repaired something correctly and when it goes out 1-2-3 weeks later your screwed..

So glad I tried Lentz.... My car broke down last week in the middle of a busy street. I had it towed to Lentz because it is pretty close to where I live. While I was there, they showed me that the timing belt had broken, by turning over the engine and seeing that the distributor wasn't turning. Since it is a zero clearance engine, it is very common to do a lot of valve damage when this belt breaks. I was told it would takd 3 to 4 days and cost somewhere between 1,200 and 1,600 dollars. After they had it one day, I got a call from Dave, the owner. He said that I was very lucky in the fact that there was no valve damage and that the heads would not need to be removed. They replaced the belt, the idler pully, the water pump and fixed a problem I had with an electric window. The entire charge, parts and labor was about 750.00! I know that there are shops out there that would have replaced those valves just to make the money off of the labor or worse yet, not replace them at all and charge me anyway. How would you know? All this to say, these guys did a great job for me at a great price. Their honesty and integrity have earned them all of my automotive business. I would glady recommend them to anyone who is looking for good old fashioned business practices.... Thanks Lentz!
