It's a race shop so don't be surprised when you get here. Came in to have StopTech rotors and brake pads installed on my car. I called earlier in the day, and they were able to fit me in the afternoon.
I was greeted by two suuuuuuuuper nice guys that are probably the employee/owners. Easy to miss the place - The garage is towards the back of the car lot. The labor prices are very competitive, and they are quick with the work.
I'd highly recommend it based on customer service, price, and technical ability.
Definitively coming back here next time for other installs that I may need in the future.

First off, all of the gentlemen that work here are absolute sweethearts! Even if they had ruined my car, I would give 5 stars for the amazing customer service and the conversations that we had with them! They were all great!
On top of the customer service, our oil change was done quickly and efficiently. we were in and out in 20 minutes! They also went out of their way to set us up with the tire shop down the street and got us a great deal!

Don't you love it when you find a great mechanic?! I do!
These guys were phenomenal. I called on a Thursday and told them about my car troubles, and they were able to fit me in for a free diagnostic session that afternoon. When I drove up and parked on the lot, the people in the office were extremely friendly and listened carefully to what was wrong with my car. They took it back to have a look, and came back within 30 minutes with a diagnosis. 30 minutes!
They then ordered the part for my car (a new muffler) and we set up a time for the following Wednesday for it to be installed. They quoted me a number, and sent me on my way.
Come Wednesday, I gave them a call to confirm the appointment, and then dropped by with my car. Barely 40 minutes later they were finished, and I had a smooth running vehicle again. The end amount I was charged was exactly what they quoted me, AND they gave me homemade madeleines while I waited.
Friendly, honest service with free food and smiles, AND a working car? I will definitely be returning if I need more maintenance!

These guys are great, can't recommend them enough!! We just bought a 2008 forester from top spec and the whole process was so easy and everyone we worked with was knowledgable and ready to help. Before we purchased our forester we knew that the head gaskets were leaking and they gave us a great deal to have them fixed. When we brought the forester in to have them done it was so hassle free and they remembered and honored the deal they had promised us when we bought the car. We are moving out of state in a couple of weeks and they were very accommodating to get the head gaskets done and make sure we were ready for the long drive. I'm sad we'll be far away and unable to have them maintain our car!!

I didn't actually bring my car here, so I can't comment or review their repair work or quality. I did get the best and honest quote from them for a repair I was going to do. I could tell they are very honest/reasonable on their price for parts and labor. Before I have a mechanic do a repair I like to research and understand what needs to be done. I could tell the owner was very honest with me. My cars are older now and I need a good honest shop. This place will for sure be one of my go to places for future repairs.

These guys are awesome. So easy to work with, friendly, knowledgeable, and reasonable prices. The location is pretty crowded and they are fairly busy (which makes sense!), but they gave a great office and team. They took care of my broken side view mirror the same week I called them, and were thorough on the phone as well in person. They gave me a few things that also need to be looked at, but no pressure, no gimmicks, no disingenuous information. I really appreciate how easy they were to work with and the ease of the transaction. I will definitely be taking my vehicle to them from now on.

I really love this workshop. Recently, I am looking a good shop to have brake rotors and pads replacement for my TSX. I gave a try for this shop because the highly recommendation from some of my friends. I am really satisfied for the service that they had done for my car, especially that they found out my brake light bulb was burn out and helped me to replace during the service without any additional charge. I really appreciate for that. There are two nice guys over there that I want to point out is Raymond and Chris. I like their friendly attitude & professional. They are very patient with customer such like me and would like provide detail answers for all my questions.

Visiting from out of town and needed an oil change. Saw all the great reviews on Yelp and the great price on the oil change. Dropped my car off first thing in the morning and the mechanic confirmed that my "maintenance req'd" light referred to the oil change.
Service was fast. I went to get breakfast and they were finished with my car before I got back.
Communication wasn't so great, though. The mechanic didn't tell me that my oil change would be MUCH more expensive - nearly 3 time the advertised price! - because my car only takes synthetic oil. Thankfully, the shop honored my original expectations. I also didn't receive a report on other items indicated in the advertisement - free tire rotation, suspension check, light check, radiator and coolant check. I wasn't having any problems with the car (other than the maint req'd light) beforehand, and I needed to go. So after the pricing issue, I didn't want to deal with asking and waiting for an answer.

Top spec is really the best mechanic shop that I ever worked with. They explain every single details and try to educate me that what my car is going thu. I am suprise their price is so cheap for their super quality work. In the past on other mechanic shop, I always need to go back for the same problem. I would like to thank Firestone in Mill Creek for the opportunity to work with TC at Top Spec Auto. I went to them first on Sunday for brake Pads and rotors because mine were worn down to the rivets. My bad I know.
FS told me over the phone the price to replace the pads and machine the rotors was about 350. But Firestones attempt to charge $1,000 for rear brakes on my 2010 suburban was based on charging for caliper replacement, brake fluid and an oil change I did not ask for. They told me my calipers needed to be replaced for damage. I asked them to price match Les Schwab's estimate and they said they could not do it as it was about half of their estimate. I said no thanks and while they were putting my truck back together we called Top Spec. I spoke to TC (owner) and he was happy to have us go by.
Chris the mechanic working there that day greeted us and we told him that FS wanted to replace our calipers. He asked if they were frozen. We told him about our earlier misadventure with FS and he explained that the calipers may not be broken. He took it for a drive immediately.
TC was super courteous and explained what extras Firestone was trying to charge us. He went out into the garage and when he came back in he office he explained that the rotors and brake pads could be replaced in 1 hour and the calipers were not damaged at all. This was done very quickly and professionally and at half the cost of Firestone and even less than les schwab's initial estimate. Great experience overall. TC also was kind enough to show us the old parts and old us to call if there were any questions or if there was something wrong guys there were real pros. I was glad that they were there to help us on Sunday. Thanks TC and Chris at Top Spec!!!

Update... Chris the mechanic is amazing. I had some braking troubles and the Honda dealer (I have a Civic) said I needed all new brake pads. I took the car afterwards to Top Spec and Chris actually took the time to figure out the problem (it was a spot of rust). He sent me on my way in twenty minutes after filing off the rust. Top Spec for the win again!

I made a suboptimal deal on a used car off of craigslist and Top Spec Auto has been fantastic helping me get my car back on the road. The customer service is as fantastic as their mechanics. Raymond went out of his way to help me get my car fixed ASAP.
It's so hard to find a trustworthy mechanic that has your best interests in mind. That is why I'm so happy to have found Top Spec!!

This place may be small but they have excellent knowledge about all sorts of mechanical work no matter what kind of car you bring in. I brought my truck in to have a timing belt kit installed and Raymond, the service rep who works there, was very friendly and pointing out many things that needed to be done which I did not know about during my time there. He also recommended me a particular brand named part I needed to have my car in good standing which in my opinion, why this place is an A+.
It is hard to find a trusted mechanic shop out there, so from my experience at Top Spec I would recommend this place to anyone needs work done. This is not the kind of shop out there that would try to rip you off and rush just to get the job done. These people are very passionate about their work and will do whatever it takes to make their customer happy. With that being said, I'll be bringing my car in again for suspension work soon. cheers!

I've been to Top Spec many times.
I personally have hard time dealing with other auto shops, and it may requires a leap of faith. However, they are kind, patient and trust-worth. Their mechanics are willing to go through the problems that need to be fixed. Additionally, they pay close attention on diagnosing and repairing your car. I'm impressed by their attitude and service, they also give you the honest advice, it really makes me feel safe willing to go again.
I think Top Spec is the shop that is the best car repair shop in the area.

I took my Acura TSX in for some much needed TLC and I'm so happy I picked these guys for the job. Not only were they quick to respond to my inquiry, but they were extremely helpful in doing so. Top Spec Auto was great. I don't usually ever write reviews, but a great experience with an auto repair shop definitely deserves a shoutout. My Subaru needed a 60k service and I called around to the various Subaru dealerships and their quotes were all over the place and way too high. I gave them a call in the morning, and they were able to accommodate my drop off right away! TC with Top Spec was straightforward and honest in the his quote, and even gave me multiple options on they type of parts I wanted to use.
After dropping off my car, I got a text from them regarding my brake pads being worn down and needed to be swapped out, along with pictures showing that this was indeed the case. Over the experience was quick and painless, with very reasonable prices. Give Top Spec a shot, you won't be sorry!

Chris the mechanic promptly diagnosed the problem with my vehicle and recommended an oil pan change. I called several other garages for an estimate to change the oil pan, but they were pricier than Top Spec Auto. So I brought my Civic to the garage and Chris quickly change the oil filter, engine oil, and oil pan. Chris the mechanic has great expertise and he was honest about what was wrong with my vehicle. Review is for car shopping and not for servicing.
The folks here are pretty nice. They don't push a sale on you and they'll let you test drive without any hassle.
But, the prices are a little steep, and it's apparent because a handful of the cars have been there since summer (~4 months now). I understand Subarus are quite popular in the PNW, but asking for $8,000-$9,000 for an early 2000 vehicle nearing 150,000 miles is a bit over the top. This is without head gaskets even being done. Their shop will charge you $1,000 for a head gasket service if you buy the vehicle then, which is a great deal minus the car price tag. They're obviously not going to tell you about the condition of the head gaskets, so it's up to you to judge on that or to take it to a reputable mechanic for assessment.
One of the cars we tested seemed to have a dying or weak engine. A Subaru running like an old Civic with 90HP? But, they were still asking $8,000 for a 150K car with no head gaskets done, audio that didn't work and windows that didn't roll up.
We looked at another car and one of the guys told us there's no rust on it. But compared to the first vehicle we checked, the metal around the engine had signs of rust. And, the brakes were chipping with corrosion. You could literally pick it off like a dry booger.

Top Spec Auto is a great shop, dealer and honest business. I had my Porsche in their for a brake service. I was able to call ahead and get the brake parts I wanted ordered. The manufacturer unfortunately sent the wrong parts, however I was very impressed at Top Spec's professionalism and still being able to take care of me the same day. I had already planned to drop my vehicle off, and they reached out to their network of contacts to find the right parts I wanted. My car was still completed that same day and earlier than expected!!
In the end, I was well taken care of with new brakes, topped of fluids and even replaced windshield wipers. They went beyond to make my experience great at a very affordable price! Thanks guys!

BJ (the tech) is the best mechanic I've ever had the pleasure of doing business with. I wouldn't take my car anywhere else and would recommend his work to anyone with complete confidence. He took the time to let me know exactly what my BMW needed to be as mechanically sound as possible, he completed the work faster than anticipated, and the work was done perfectly. He is thorough and honest, and will present options and plans of attack to get your car back on the road in top shape.

My car was making weird sounds so I looked up yelp for auto repairs and the one of the better reviewed shop was the Top Spec. I called in to make appointment since I was in the area. Boy it was the best decision i've ever made in my recent times. After the free dignose on my car they told me that my break was worn out so recommended to replace few parts they explained to me in such detail i appreciated very much, they worked on my car and found few problems but instead of trying to add stuff in to raise the prices, they found the way to get it done without charging more.
I appreciated the honesty and truly caring for their customers

Top Spec always does a great job on my WRX. The price is beyond reasonable, it is at least 30% cheaper than what I would pay a Subaru dealer, and the quality of work is even better in my opinion. I brought the car in for suspension, brake, and exhaust upgrade. Everything was done within a day. Chris the mechanic is very knowledgeable on Subaru, you will know once you meet him. TC and Raymond are also very easy to work with, they take the time with their customers, they also helped me to order a few performance parts with very competitive pricing.

Ok, this is my 5th trip to them all different issues with my car its 16 years old. I thought I would have to pay 800 for a new Engine computer module for my car but lucky for me they found the problem it took a lot of investigating but it was just a messed up wire on my Crank Shaft sensor easy fix and cost way less them paying for a new ECM. I am usually wary when I take my car to shops, but there was no scare factor at Top Spec Auto. These guys are honest from the beginning. They told me what repair had to be made, what could wait and so on. They didn't try to scare me into repairs, they made me feel comfortable about dealing with them. I had gone to a few shops about a particular issue, Top Spec quoted me 40% less than everyone else on repairs. Not only that but they didn't try to up sell me on unnecessary related repairs like the other guys. The repair was completed earlier than expected. The technicians here talk to you like you are as knowledgeable as they are. I appreciated not being talked down to, because other shop techs talk to costumers like they are clueless and insult your intelligence. Thanks Chris and the rest at Top Spec. Will recommend!

I took an appointment with TopSpec to get an Engine undercover plastic-shield issue, for my Nissan Altima fixed. When I got there, the mechanic put the car on the lift and had me looked at it and explained the issue. I was told that the fix is trivial and I won't be charged for that. How often do you've that experience in a repair shop?. That is transparency at best... TopSpec will be my go-to place for my future auto repair needs and I whole heartedly recommend these folks to the community.

I am a fan of this shop because of the recent service I received. I originally took my convertible in for to get hydraulic system fixed and really liked the young man who helped me. But he did not put a piece back correctly and that lead to a tear in the soft interior area. He said that he did not do it but it was not there when we took it in. The hydraulics were fixed in a timely fashion. I give it 4 stars for the recent service I got. I called the manager as I just got the car out of the garage from the winter. When I tried to put the top down it would not go in all the way (unbeknownst to me it was because the piece from original service was not in correctly). The manager/ owner? said I could bring it in right away. When I got there the young man who helped was quick to identify the piece was put in incorrectly and he was pleasant and honest with me. Really liked the customer service and the sense of urgency to make sure I was satisfied with my service.

BJ was able to provide me service in a really short notice. Needed my AC verified if it requires repairs due to no cool air was blowing from my AC. I originally had it checked my Jiffy Lube for the whole AC service/refrigerant/leaks but was not technical even to further troubleshoot. Called numerous auto shops and two of the shops suggested to replace my compressor for my AC. Very expensive repair and not seem feasible to what the problem was. I absolutely had to get a third opinion and came across TOP SPEC AUTO. Spoke to BJ and checked me in immediately. He did a A/C diagnosis, inspection and check my fuses. I'm so relieved that he determine the problem. It was such a simple fix, a bad fuse. He replaced my AC relay which only cost $9.31.
TOP SPEC AUTO are knowledgable techs, trusting, and affordable!!! So happy that I was able to find honest auto techs.
This place will not let you down. I HIGHLY recommend it. Thanks again BJ!!!!!

Super props to there guys. Last Friday in running around finding car shopping and I found the car I was really interested in, but I wanted to have it checked out. Unfortunately it was getting on to 5 pm and, for mechanics, that is the start of the weekend. Worse, I was busy all that weekend and next week so I needed it done that day. My brother called these guys and they said if we cups get there shortly they would be happy to help.
We didn't get there so shortly. In fact, we got there 15 mins later than we originally promised. On the easy we're calling up all the shops we can find just in case we need a backup, but no luck. We call them one last time apologizing and ask if we're still alright to swing by? They said yes.
We got there and Bj was super nice, very friendly and pretty thorough in his examination. He ended up talking with my brother about the concerns, but overall okayed the car. The other guy at the shop (Tc?), who was the salesman for their small inventory, came out to greet us, but amazingly never tried pushing a car onto us. Super friendly too!
To beat it all, for writing this review they gave me a discount. Now I'm the proud owner of a pretty smooth ride thanks to these guys.

Very skilled and honest shop. My 2011 Impreza had complex electrical and suspension issues after the car slipped on an ice patch and hit a curb very hard. Chris (the mechanic) took time to pinpoint the problems that other shops overlooked. I was very impressed with his diagnostic skills. Repair was also done very neatly. I use to be a customer here but found out they were just a bunch of scammers or they just don't know what they're doing. They end up getting over $4,000.00 from me in repairs within 6 month and they wanted to do more repairs on my car that was gonna cost me another $2,300.00. That's when I decided to get a second look at a different auto shop they told me that I didn't need to get a water pump replaced as what Top Spec had told me they told me that I needed my radiator flushed because whoever replaced my radiator was supposed to do that and Top Spec had just replaced my radiator within that week. So I will never ever ever come back here again. Oh ya they try to over charge me and on abs module which the next place charge me 60% less for the same part.

Their customer's best interest is always their number one priority so you can always expect them to do what's really needed and you don't even have to expect a big bill for them to do so. I found this shop on a whim during a 5000 mile road trip. What a find! BJ was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. The service was fast and same day. He also checked tires, topped off all fluids and gave me insight on future services. I wish I had a mechanic so reliable where I lived!

The service here is outstanding! I was looking for a Mazda and all the other shops I had visit were overpowering sales representatives that were trying to push me just for the sale. Top spec was not my typical experience, they took care me in a comfortable atmosphere. The technician was very knowledgable and helped me find the best fitting car. I now own a Mazda 6 and couldn't be happier with my new purchase!

The mechanics at Top Spec didn't just give me a quote and expect me to take their word for it. They took me to my car, started it up and showed me exactly what was wrong. While I waited, the owner was the perfect host. He served me tea and some wonderful treats from Asia. The repairs took longer than anticipated due to the age of my car. I tried to give the mechanics each a $20 tip for staying late, and they refused. When did you ever see someone turn down a tip that was well deserved? I'm 57 years old, and I have never experienced this level of customer service and hospitality before.

They treat me really well. They are very patient with me and explain to me the whole diagnostic Procedure. In my past experience, the other mechanic shop just throw me a quote and treat me like an idiot. I love how honest they are and tell me what is necessary and what not. I have the choice to pick which route and make my decision with the the mechanic. I feel like I am being treat right and able to make my own choice on quality parts vs economic parts.

The other shop quoted me $2000 for my car overheating. I came to top spec paid the 1 hour diagnostic, then they found all it need is bleeding the coolant system and only cost me $80. They are very knowledgeable and honest. They could have rip me off like the other mechanic shop, but they didn't do that. I can't appreciate top spec anymore. I saved $1900 for my Christmas and my car run like a champ now. I highly recommended them. They are honest and knowledgeable for real! Don't waste your time and money on any other mechanic shop.

They are mechanics Raymond and Chris are well skilled and friendly. I always have Raymond and Chris to do service and repair on my cars. They are very honest and they know what they are doing. That makes me want to driver all the way from Kent to Everett to have to work on my cars.

Professional and honest is all I can say. Had a sinking brake pedal, other shop quote me $500+ for a master cylinder, but after their diagnostic it turned out to be air in the system, a quick bleed solved the issue.
