Bobby is the best! He is the most honest mechanic in the country. My car had a very bad steering wheel fluid liquid leak and two other mechanics after looking at it gave me almost a thousand dollars estimate.
When I brought Bobby the car, he tightened a couple of bolts and the problem was fixed. Another time I wanted to change my brakes and he drove my car and told me that they were still pretty good and I could wait.
He is really honest and good in his job.
He won't make you spend money for some repairs, unless is something absolutely necessary that needs to be fixed.

I paid for an inspection (remotely from Canada) before I bought a 1979 super Beetle Convertible. This place gave it a perfect rating except low brakes.
I even called again to make sure everything was fine with the car before I bought it.
Turns out the car has a 1973 non fuel injection engine. Not the original engine. No heater. Bottom full of rust. Master cylinder shot. We are talking over 9900 dollars plus labour to get it in correct shape. Wish they had done their job correctly so I would not have bought the car.

I have brought my complicated 1967 mustang to Bobby and his team at 5 star twice now and each time my car has been returned to me in better shape than I could possibly imagine. Being a young female owner of a classic car in a town I am not familiar with its especially complicated to find someone to work on my car that is honest, patient and respectful. 5 star has gone above and beyond my expectations, with their reasonable prices and attention to detail, I highly recommend this one of a kind shop.

Got my starter replaced here. 240$ for the starter, plus 160$ for labor and taxes/fees. So 400$ total... you be the judge.
The mechanics are great.
But for future reference, if u already know what's was wrong with the car, I suggest calling each shop you can find on yelp and ask for their labor charges. You might get it cheaper.

Bobby and his crew are amazing. A friend referred me to 5* because I was concerned about a noise my car was making. I had just driven for three days from Sonoma to my new home in Las Vegas. I had hundreds of dollars worth of work done on my 12 year old Mustang before I left so I could drive down here carefree. However the noise was still there after having brought it in three times to be fixed. Held my breath all the way here, worried that my car would break down. My friend suggested I take it over to Bobby's. Called there. He took me right away. Went over my car with a fine-toothed comb, determined the work I had done was not done correctly, that the car was fine to drive and whatever it was could be tweaked at the next major service visit. He didn't charge me a thing.
That is not all. Last week I was rushing to my doc appt, went to turn the key and my car was dead as a door nail. I couldn't believe it as I just had a new battery installed before I left CA. Called 5*, had it towed right over and was told there were three things I could do. Bobby explained each option in detail. Bottom line, car's fixed, runs like new and didn't cost an arm and a leg. I am thankful I have found the best, most honest repair guy in Las Vegas on my first try.

Let me start by saying -- if you are looking for a trustworthy, fair, reliable mechanic -- Look no more. I could not be more please. After getting nickeled and dimed from the dealership - I finally found a mechanic I could actually trust. Bobby ( the owner ) took the time to evaluate what I actually needed. ( asked me if I was sure I wanted to put the $$ Into it, as it was a lot of work on a 14 year old vehicle ) He gave me a huge discount and threw in little extras for free- since I was having sooo much done. After getting my vehicle back in less than 2 days-I was a little hesitant to see how it would run. It has never run better or sounded better!
Why should you trust him you ask? So, I bring my vehicle back in because a belt was loose ( squeaking ) I dropped it off- a few hours later Bobby calls me up and says- Your going to need a new Radiator - Me: Oh shoot, I know it was old, your probably right - ugg how much is it? He said free-- What?? He said when unscrewing the cap it broke off in his hand- and since he was the one who broke it-- he'd cover it. What? You are joking right ?? Nope! When I arrived to pick it up ( that same day) he showed me my radiator and how it was so rotted, it became brittle. Now I know not everyone would be so honest and fair! He could have easily told me another story and made me pay- and to be honest, I would have. Nice to have a great mechanic with heart! Bobby I will be referring you to all my friends! Great Service!!!
We took our '94 Cadillac here on the recommendation of a friend. We had tried to get our car repaired at Ted Wiens Firestone on Rainbow twice without success and at the cost of over $500. When we took it into 5 Star Auto Repair, Bobby diagnosed the problem within 2 minutes. He had to have a hose assembly made special to replace the old one that had a huge tear in it (they must have blind mechanics at Ted Wiens). We took it back in when the part came in and Bobby had it fixed in no time at a reasonable price and we were treated with respect. Wish we had known about 5 Star Auto Repair earlier. We are thankful to have finally found a business we can feel safe taking our cars to for repair. Thanks Bobby!

My buddy and I were in Vegas on business and had a leak going on in the truck. We were on a tight schedule and the mechanic took us in quickly and even gave us a short car ride down the road in his personal car. When we got back, the truck was on the lift and they were checking things out. After a few minutes, the truck was truck down. The level of professional service was outstanding and I will definitely return when I'm in the area and need car help.

I brought my 1969 Olds Cutlass here to get a tune up after I bought it off my grandfather, who had it for 20 years, 47k original miles. It was dieseling when I turned it off and a little off all around. When I got my baby back, she ran like a brand new car. The best part of the whole experience was really feeling like the people I interacted with cared as much about my car as much as I did. All in all it was a great experience.

5 star did me better than good. 2 thumbs up. 1st Bobby ,the owner, came to me when I had an emergency severe fuel leak, and was quick, thorough, honest & appreciative and completely fixed it. THIS however was astonishing! 4 mechanics, buku $$$$, several parts, and numerous hours couldn't solve my 86 ranger engine stalling problem. Bobby and his crew @ 5 star solved it right away. It has never run this good. They are honest, nice; and the owner is the top mechanic AND HE'S THERE! I like that!
