I moved to Eagle recently and wanted to find a local place to fix a scrape and small dent on the front bumper of my car. It has specialty paint and I wanted to make sure it would come out perfect.
I like to always give my local business a first try, so I took it to Nick at Eagle Auto repair to see if his shop could do it. He said Yes, I left it for the day, got it back, and it's 100% perfect bodywork, and the paint matches perfectly! Yay!
Thank You Nick! and your team, you did great, and I'll be back.

Could not fix my car

I spent $500 at this establishment to fix my 1998 Honda Accord. I had a problem that the car would not start on hot days. I took my car in 2 different times to fix the problem. Both times, they told me they couldn't find the problem, but they thought they had fixed it. Sure enough, on the next hot day, the car would not start. I took the car to another mechanic that did a proper inspection. He said the intake value was full of dirty. He fixed that for $85. The car has run fine since then.

Not a good mechanic

I have not had a good experience with this mechanic. I had my transmission replaced in my 2003 Chrysler Town and Country van. I spend $3000 for the repairs. The transmission went out after only 10,000 miles in less than a year. They would not warranty the work. I had to take it to another shop. I do not recommend this place for any transmission work.

Eagle Auto mis-diagonised my vehicle that could have cost me thousands of dollars and I lost the sale of the vehicle. Eagle Auto did an inspection of a vehicle I had for sale. The truck is 15 years old with 157,000 miles. Eagle Auto claimed the engine had a blown head gasket and was rusted out underneath. A blown head gasket is a very serious engine problem that could cost $1500 or more to repair. I checked out a professionally done informative video on youtube and did many of the tests myself. None of the tests showed there was a problem with the head gasket. After I was nearly positive the head gasket was fine, I took the vehicle to a reputable shop in Meridian. The shop in Meridian concluded the head gasket was fine. In addition they lifted the truck and inspected underneath. There was a minor amount of surface rust on the frame in a few places and on the bottom of the truck bed. No flaking or significant pitting on the body or the frame. The only place that had rust of any concern was on the exhaust system. Which are uncoated parts that naturally rust. The exhaust system was not leaking. The Meridian shop felt the rust on the truck was typical of 15 year old vehicle from Idaho. Prior to Eagle Auto's inspection the vehicle did have loose valve covers that leaked some oil. I tightened the covers but had not cleaned up the entire engine area prior to Eagle Auto's inspection. Eagle Auto did none of the tests shown in the Youtube video. They said they saw oil on the block and concluded the head gasket was blown. They tried to convince me using a mirror that oil was in a location that only could be from a leaking head gasket. Neither a rag wipe or the mirror showed fresh oil. Eagle Auto said they were trying to protect the buyer from a bad purchase. How about protecting me (a resident of Eagle of 24 years) from unnecessary repairs? I think to give a serious diagnosis as a blown head gasket based on engine oil found on a 15 year old vehicle is irresponsible. I had a previous bad experience with Eagle Auto about 5 years ago. When I discussed this experience with other co-workers I heard an outpour of similar problems with this shop.

I went to Eagle Auto Repair because I use local small businesses as much as possible, and their on-line reviews with new ownership were positive. I needed an electrical problem fixed. They gave me a free estimate and called me before proceeding with any work. They also gave me two options of fixing it- one was more expensive and probably the better way to go, but they also gave me a second option that worked as well. I went with the cheaper option and all is fine. They could have easily gone with the more expensive route and not even told me about option 2 at all. I was very impressed by their service, being on time (same day service as my appointment), and honesty.

We just got our Toyota back! We were a little put off at first because it was taking a lot longer than anticipated, but they were relying on contract work, and the coordination of that took extra time. In lieu of the time, Nick personally drove all the way out to Middleton to deliver it to us when finished and comped a few "extras". The clock in the dash is even working again! Yah! It's always pricey for repairs, no matter where you go, but they really do go above and beyond to make us happy and satisfied, plus they guarantee all of the work! I have no doubt that if I go back in a couple of days because of something they just fixed, that they will do whatever they can to make me happy! Thanks Eagle!

I didn't have a mechanic that I routinely used because I generally do work myself. But when my pickup needed a new AC unit I decided to let someone else deal with that. I called around to some different shops for quotes and looked up reviews for them. Although Eagle Auto had some bad reviews I was impressed that the owner took the time to respond to the folks complaining on google, so I decided to give them a shot. I was very satisfied, they got the job done ahead of schedule, done well with high quality parts for a fair price. It was a bit higher than some of the other places that I called but I like to support local. For vehicle repairs that I don't want to tackle myself, Eagle Auto will be my first call.

Nick and his mechanics are great. It is hard to find an affordable mechanic that you can trust. These guys are honest and affordable. I highly recommend them!
