While traveling to Montana, my transmission went out about 20 miles South of Salmon, Idaho. I had the car towed to Good News because they were the only mechanics in town that had been reviewed. I'm so glad I did ! Jeff took very good care of me and my car. He took a look at it right away, in spite of his busy schedule, and then personally drove me around town with my baggage to choose a motel. It took 3 days to complete the repair, because the rebuilt transmission had to be ordered from Salt Lake City, but once it arrived, Jeff spent every spare moment working to get me back on the road. He even worked on his day off, since he knew I was eager to be on my way after 3 days in a small town with no car.

Went in to get a problem fixed that was diagnosed in California. Talked to Jeff & he verified the problem. However the estimate in CA was much much higher because they wanted to change parts that were still good. I asked Jeff if he thought I should replace all the other parts and he said, "if it was my car, I wouldn't, they look fine ". It's so nice to deal with a very honest repair shop. This shop's prices are very fair, they do the work quickly, and they have another customer for life. I'm impressed. J. Silva

My boyfriend and I are visiting family up here in Salmon and as I was driving around town, the car started to drive really rough and the check engine light came on. I gave Jeff Olson a call and asked if they had a moment to check my diagnostic computer with their code reader. Jeff was very nice and was able to check it out right away. When I arrived at the garage, he plugged the machine in and tinkered under the hood of the car for a minute. Within minutes he was able to figure out the problem and locate a parts shop in town that had a replacement part. I'm sitting on the couch in the air conditioned office and they are fixing the car as I type this. He just came in and said it was almost done. Very nice, professional, and ethical with reasonable and fair prices! Highly recommend these guys! Integrity in the auto repair business is hard to find...these guys are the epitome of integrity and customer service!!
