I am very happy I with the service I received from Robert's Complete Automotive! My son's car had a blown tire and the check engine light on. Because of that the car would not pass emissions. Being fairly new to the area, we did not have a mechanic. So I do what I normally do which is decide where I'm going by reading reviews. Robert's Complete Automotive was one of the first auto repair shops to show on my google search. It had 4 stars so I gave them a call. Whoever answered the phone made me feel reassured that I wasn't going to be put through the ringer so I scheduled an appointment that afternoon.
We brought the car in and he hooked it up to the computer that tests why the check engine light is on and about four codes popped up, same codes as when we took it to Auto Zone. So instead of quoting me on what it would cost to repair each code, he said, "Let me keep the car for the night, condition it, clear the codes, drive it and as soon as the light goes on I will test it again and we can fix that code which may fix the remaining codes" (something to that effect). So we kept it there overnight, he found the initial issue, fixed it and one more issue and replaced the tires in s VERY timely manner at a VERY reasonable price.
Before I agreed to all the fixes and changes I called a good friend of ours who owns a transmission shop in San Diego and had him talk directly to Robert. Our friend said he was right on and his pricing was good and to go for it.
It has been a few weeks since the repair and the check engine light has yet to come on again which makes me very happy!

My dad's van was overheating today & he had the radiator replaced at Robert's Automotive when Robert still operated the business. The radiator was still under warranty so my dad & uncle took the van back to Robert's.
My dad told Leonard (the new guy) that it was overheating & asked if they could test it out to find the problem. Leonard told one of the mechanics to do a pressure test. My uncle drove my dad home & then Leonard called some time later to tell him that it was not the radiator but it was the hoses that were leaking.
He gave my dad a quote of around $350 to fix it. We didn't have the money to fix it right now so my dad told Leonard that he was just gonna come pick up the van & limp it home.
At that point, Leonard informed my dad that the pressure test would cost $60.00 & my dad would have to pay that before his van would be released back to him.
My dad was NEVER told that the pressure test would cost anything before he handed over his car key. On the phone my dad argued that he was never told there would be a charge. The response he was given: "Well you don't expect us to do something & not charge you! Any other mechanic shop would do the same!"
Not true. Garcia's Auto Repair (on Broadway & Mesa Drive, operated by Luis Garcia) has given us free inspections in the past & great prices.
We would have taken it there but my dad thought to was the radiator & Robert's is who the warranty was with.
If I could give it zero stars, I would. It is just really bad business practice to not inform the customer of the charges BEFORE the work is done. If it was me & my car (instead of my dad & his van), you can be sure as the sky is blue that I would have raised hell & threatened to sue (which is what the nice police officer suggested when we called the non-emergency to find out if the police could get involved but said it was a civil matter & to pay the $60 but then it would be well within our right to sue).
too long;didn't read: my dad was never told that the pressure test would cost anything until after the fact. If he had known it would cost, he would have said not to do it.
Next time we're going to Garcia's Auto Repair at 429 E Broadway Rd. Mesa AZ.

I was impressed with the number of cars there for service. One of the guys came out and greeted me. My question was complex re major service so said guy went right to Robert for a consult. ALL these things are a good sign as y'all know. My instinct was right...GOOD PLACE. Needed some work done on short notice- it was closing time. Robert gave me an honest price way lower than I expected. I left my van overnight and Robert delivered it the next day. I am so happy to have found a reliable, affordable mechanic close to home!

Robert recently closed his shop in Apache Junction so that he could focus on his Mesa shop. I live way out in Queen Creek, but I still take all of my vehicles to Robert. Robert is friendly, respectful, will not overcharge, or charge you for things that you simply do not need. He will pick your car up at your house, take you home or help you however he can. I have never found a shop owner that is more focused on customer service.
I recently had my oil changed out in Queen Creek. The shop that I visited said that I needed to have all 4 Struts replaced. I then took my truck to Robert to do the work and when I went to pay the bill he told me that my truck did not need new struts.
Not only is Robert a great Mechanic but he is great with Paint and Body work. I have had him work on my restored 57' Chevy Stepside Truck and he has done some amazing work.
Try Robert's complete one time and you will be a customer for life!

We recently took our vehicle there for repair. A short time later we called and asked them not to perform the service. When we got to the shop to pick up the car, they still charged us almost a hundred dollars because we had signed a paper. The work had not yet been performed, but we were apparently still liable for what they quoted us.

Our AC compressor went out last night. After calling 8-10 other shops who had no availability Robert agreed to get us taken care of even if he had to stay open late to do it. Then not only did he do a great job at a great price but he fixed several other things on our van at no charge! We'll definitely be returning again to Roberts next time we have auto maintenance needs.

I was just having the hardest time getting my tires to inflate. After literally spending thirty minutes and six dollars in quarters trying at a gas station I got fed up and on my way home stumbled on this place. Wonderful customer service and the nicest man who didn't make me feel dumb for not being able to get it done myself. I will be using them from now on and I highly recommend it.

I went to them to restore power in my car, another shop had run a diagnosis and said it was the cat converter that was clogged. Then took to them where I meant the go in the first place and they test drove and diagnosed and found that it was the spark plugs and other stuff, way cheaper fix then the cat, drove away after they did the work and problem fixed. Recommend these guys to anyone, they are all super nice and explain in full detail to you what is wrong, what causes it and how much it is, going no where else, found the mechanics for my car!!!!

Robert the owner and master mechanic will always shoot you in the right direction on repairs to your car or truck and unlike some mechanics is not interested in a fast buck or unnecessary repairs. A few months ago my car was acting up all the lights on the dash were going crazy and going off, I took it to numerous places and had diagnostics done and they all told me it was my alternator. I called up Robert's complete automotive and they told me to bring it in that same day and would get it fixed for me. They ran tests on it and it came back that it was just my battery was bad. Thank goodness for them because some shops would have probably taken advantage of the fact that I was set on it being the alternator and would have charged me more! Great place to take your car if you want great honest mechanics!!! Thank you for saving me money!!!
