These guys are the best! Honest, friendly, fair, and fast. Everything that an auto shop should be but most aren't. I came in on the recommendation of someone from Marshall's in Scottsdale for an issue I was having with my exhaust. They were fast to diagnose and even brought me out to the car to show me exactly what they had found. They explained all the parts and pieces in a way I could easily understand.
They also found a couple other issues of which I wasn't aware. They showed me the issues from under the car and explained that they would be happy to fix them for x-amount-of-dollars, but that it isn't urgent. They explained what I could expect if I didn't choose to repair the other things that day. I chose to wait and just have them repair the main issue at hand.
After they completed the repairs they brought me under the car again and showed me what they did. They charged a very fair price and were transparent in the whole process.
I can say that I will most definitely be coming back here once the other small issues they discovered become urgent. This is how every auto shop should be!

I had a friend who cherishes his bmw z3 tell me about this place. I took in my 2011 mark 6 Jetta to have it straight piped from the cat. I was astounded by the level of professionalism and curtesy that I saw in the staff I interacted with. Not to mention how great of a job they did and how quick they performed it. One major thing that stood out to me was Chris's sheer honestly. I as originally quoted $250 for the service over the phone, but once he saw underneath my car, he immediately let me know that it was an easier job than expected and readjusted my price accordingly. Normal shops would not have done that.
If you are looking for a quality shop, astounding service, honesty, and just an overall great experience, please give this shop some serious consideration.

The guys are pretty straight up and honest.
Had a rattle on the muffler, gave them a call and I was close enough that they got me in and diagnosed the problem. They fixed it for a very reasonable price and I was out the door. I would say I was in and out in less than 25 min. I will be a repeat customer.

I don't write many reviews unless they're warranted and when it comes to mechanics I feel they are hard to come by especially for someone like me who doesn't know much about cars. When I came here I dealt with Chris, who I believe is the owner, and let me tell you he was EXTREMELY honest, fair and friendly and seeing that Im not knowledgeable about cars, this is ALL I can ask for in a mechanic. I will definitely keep this place as my go to in the future.

Glad these guys are still around and just moved around the corner, this is my review from 9/11/2013,
Stopped in to get a resonator removed from my vehicle. Quoted me $70 and asked me to come back next day @ 11 am. Got there @ 11 am, they took my car by 11:02, I was done and leaving at 11:30. Actual cost was $70, he even remembered what he had quoted me. I watched them do the work and it was very high quality, good attention to detail, good welding, good fit and finish. I will definitely use in the future.

Say you are a blithering moron who can't tell the muffler from tail pipe or something or the other and would not want to be ripped off for no other reason than that you are outside your realm of existing expertise then you want to go here. They are not rude condescending or stand off-ish abd they do not sell you services you just do not need. Not only is their service excellent and swift their rates can't just be beat.
Now a word of caution, they are busy so do call ahead and make an appointment or be prepared to wait a long time. Superlative service by honest men. Definitely going back when I decide to replace the exhaust system on my truck

Great customer service. Good price for having most of my whole exhaust replaced. I'm impressed with the quality of work too. I had Friday morning scheduled for 9 am and day before at 330pm I changed my mind on the mufflers I wanted installed. I called to see if the other type were in stock. He called me back in 3 minutes and stated he would have them delivered last minute for me no problem. I didn't expect this, I was planning on rescheduling if they were not in stock. It's not often you see customer service this good in this business.

If you are in the market for a new exhaust, Scottsdale Muffler is THE ONLY place to take your prized automobile/motorcycle! I have used them twice. Once for a 2006 Nissan Titan (3" custom pipes into a Flowmaster muffler). Once for my 2011 Chevy Camaro (Welded a MRT v1 into existing pipes).
Scottsdale Muffler completed my 2011 Camaro on 3/12/15. I have added a photo of the tremendous work they did. Chris and his team are professional, accommodating, and competitively priced! When I first called for a quote, Chris gave me a reasonable quote and an appointment time. We even chatted about Chevy's for awhile on the phone. When I arrived for my appointment, I was greeted like I was family. Chris and his team would have me walk into their bays to look at my car throughout the entire install. I like how they keep their customer involved in the entire process! Shortly thereafter, I heard my beast rumble to life from inside the shop. They carefully drove my Camaro right to where I was waiting, outside. The whole install only took one hour. To end this story, Chris and his team ended up charging me approximately $40 less than I was originally quoted on the phone! That was primarily due to a miscommunication about the size of the MRT v1 exhaust. Either way, it was nice to keep the money in my wallet!
My car grumbles like it should now; and if anyone is on the fence about where to take their beast, you cannot go wrong with Scottsdale Muffler.

Had a great experience here! The staff are friendly and professional. They installed flowmaster in my 2016 Dodge Challenger and it works well. I dropped my car off 8 am, two guys worked on it, and they finished less then one hour, wow! The labor charge is acceptable. I recommend anyone to here.

There's reviews on several sites that list this shop as 5 stars. I'm here to tell you it's all true. I took my motorcycle down there (a vehicle they don't specialize in or work on), and I needed some ideas and help with an improv fix. I brought them a problem that was definitely outside of their job description... but they never said anything about it. Instead it was, "Well, let's go look at it and see what we can do!" The whole experience showed the attitude of this shop: an attitude that said, "Can do!" They did, my bike runs great, and the pricing was incredible.
Will I be back? I'd be a fool not to. These guys are great!

Very pleased with my service! I visited these mechanics based on a recommendation by 25th Street Automotive (thanks, 25th Street!). Scottsdale Muffler & Automotive fixed my car issue effectively, quickly, and under budget. They're honest, too (since it took them less time to fix the issue than they had estimated, they deducted a few dollars from my total - a very pleasant surprise). I would definitely use them again.

I've spent years trying to find a good shop to bring my car to and I finally found it. Only place I've been that seems truly honest, and if they charge very fair rates. I brought my car in not knowing what was wrong. They checked it out. Tightened the part in question. Checked my brake pads. Didn't charge me a thing. They could have charged me an hour service and sold me brake pads, but they didn't. Will absolutely be heading back here.

Place was AWESOME. Scheduled an appointment for a quote to do and exhaust setup, price was awesome they quoted me. They did the exhaust right after and finished super quick! Quicker than was expected so they even knocked some of the labor time off to save me a couple bucks!! Awesome awesome place. Highly recommended. Even let you sit in the shop and watch while they work on your car!

This is an amazing place. Took my mustang here twice; once for an H-pipe and once to swap out the mufflers. Both times the work was done while I waited and was very fairly priced. Awesome service and my car sounds incredible now. Thanks, you guys, for all your work. Highly recommended!
