A little backstory....I have gone to two lexus dealerships for normal maintenance, asking both of them if they could take a look at my brakes because the front brakes have been squealing quite loudly randomly. Both times i paid a shade over $350 for the maintenance (pretty much an oil change plus an inspection). Both dealerships said they are performance brakes, it's normal. I purchased a rear sway bar from lexus too and asked how much to put it on and they quoted me another $300. I looked online and found out this part normally takes 30 minutes for someone with minimal tool knowledge. So i decided to seek out a better alternative and ran into this garage on yelp.
Communicated with Andre via email and he got me and helped me with both situations. He was very thorough explaining everything he did and saw. He said it looked like the person who installed the brakes didn't put on any brake grease on it and because of it the shims were looking a little worn. He greased them up and also cleaned up my brakes and rotors and said it was a long shot to work but if not he would get me set up with new brake pads. He also installed my sway bar and for all of that he charged me a very nominal fee. BTW it's been two weeks now and no squealing. They definitely could have charged me more or upsold me on a new brake system but instead he found the most effective and cost effective fix. I would easily recommend coming here to get your lexus/toyota repaired.

This is a great place to get your car fixed. I had just arrived in Phoenix. My engine light had started flashing and I knew no one in Phoenix.I found Toyoworks on Yelp. My experience was exactly the same as the other Yelp 5 star reviews. Andre helped me by changing my oil and putting my car on the scope. He was kind and generous. However he is also an expert mechanic. He gave sound advice on what was needed and not needed. The price of getting my car fixed was way below market value.The entire time I trusted him.I reccomend this repair shop.

I recommend this place to friends and family all the time. I first found them a few years back when I needed a new clutch in my Scion. The price was very reasonable. I was getting up sold eery other place I went. I've been going back to Toyoworks ever since. My car had over 170,000 so I had little minor things go wrong and this place was always reliable and their prices were very decent. I recently needed a new car and Andre checked it out very thoroughly before I bought and let me know everything he found that needed repair and how much the repairs would be. I was able to get it a little cheaper than the sticker price and then sent it straight over to him for the repairs. It is really a great thing to have an honest mechanic available to you. It makes for an easier life as regards to car issues.

Went to Toyoworks to have them replace my catalytic converter. Needed to pass my emissions test that week and they worked diligently to make sure it was ready on time, for the most reasonable price. I came in late one afternoon, made them stay a few minutes after quitting time and they were happen to accommodate me. They told me that the parts guy they called was ready to sell $2500 worth of parts. They told me to wait till the next day so they can put in an order for parts that were half that price. Good, honest guys here. They will definitely be seeing my truck again (unfortunately there's just so much that needs to be fixed.)

Wow -- went and had my car serviced yesterday for the first time, and had a TERRIFIC experience from beginning to end. In fact, this is my very first yelp review that I've written because this shop is amazing (and already recommended it to neighbors). Beyond the excellent customer service, the owner talked to me and explained a lot so I could decide on the details of the specific service. I was charged a very fair price (I compared prices online -- so I know this is true).
Additionally -- the shop is very very very clean and that is a reason I felt good about going to the shop in the first place.My husband and I drove by the shop the week before I decided to take my car in, and my husband and I both commented about how absolutely clean and professional the shop looked.
On a side note, it looks like someone might be giving fake yelp reviews and giving only one star -- whoever says this shop isn't highly professional and very clean has never been there ---

Let me start off by saying, I do agree with other reviewers. Andre is a very nice guy and I see nothing but positive reviews, however I feel it is important that my review be posted as well.
I took my car there to have some work done and I asked them while they had it to complete a CONVENTIONAL oil change due to the 2AZFE engine having an oil consumption problem. They said they would have my car done the same day and they would call when it was complete.
They did not call to inform me the status on my car, I had to call (several times to actually speak to someone) and find out the status of my car. They informed me that the technician could not find the problem and that Andre would be taking it out to find the problem. At this point it is 4:30pm and the shop closes at 5 so I knew that getting my car back was not going to be possible. They said they needed to keep it another day to fix the issue, which was not a terrible inconvenience but a little annoying no one called me to inform me, but rather I had to call them.
The next day, again, 4:30pm comes around and no call about my car. I called several times and even left a message asking they return my call to see if my car was ready. Finally someone returned the calls and said it was done but I had to be there before 5pm to pick it up. So I raced over pick up my car before closing.
I was informed that they had put SYNTHETIC oil in my engine because "my engine takes a special oil". I was a little annoyed because I had specifically asked for conventional and I was running conventional oil in my car. Had they called and asked if it was ok to put synthetic I would have more than likely said no. Also, after checking, they had over-filled my oil past the maximum mark on my dipstick.
Other issues occurred, however Andre was very prompt about resolving the issues we had with communication, so I commend them on that and my review is not based on that fact.
Overall, as mentioned in all previous reviews Andre is a good guy and was very prompt about fixing the issues I had not mentioned in this review. However, I think that communication with letting me know the status of my vehicle and deciding to go ahead and put synthetic oil in my car without getting my approval when I specifically stated conventional was not ideal.

Got my tC in and got it fixed and ready the next day! I thought I had a big issue going on with my tC but after having them do a diagnostic everything was fine even got a few other things that needed future repairs done to avoid later.

Previously, my husband and I used most of the Toyota dealerships throughout the PHX metro area and had several dishonest repairs and recommended services that were not needed on our newer Toyota 4Runner, which prompted our first visit to Toyoworks this month, July 2015.
Have to say we could never be more please! Andre, the owner and technician Joe personally met with me in the shop after a thorough inspection and I was able to examined the vehicle together with them as they addressed my concerns. What Joe found were as my husband and I suspected; the dealshipship gave a misdiagnosis on two separate issues and Joe even found two other issues that the dealership missed.
Toyoworks provided excellence service, honest repairs and very reasonable prices. Even their customer lounge (for waiter service) was comfortable and relaxing; leather arm chairs, HD flatscreen TV and fresh coffee (Keurig). And their shop; impressively clean and organized.
My husband and I will continue to return to Toyoworks for all our Toyota service/repairs!!!

I brought my Lexus to Toyoworks as a result of the preceding Yelp reviews, and can see why they are all 5 stars. In a business in which trust is often at issue, Andre and his entire crew go the extra mile to demonstrate the work that they did (in my case they even took photos and showed me on an iPad the existing damage and resulting repair), and communicated throughout the process so that I knew what work was being done and why.
On top of that, they could have taken advantage of a check engine light by proposing that it was a more significant problem, when it was in fact an inexpensive gas cap that resolved the issue.
Great work, on time, and with comfort and trust, all at a reasonable rate... what more could you ask for from a mechanic.

Top notch, honest guy. I first went for a repair that was finished on time and within a few bucks of the estimate. Also, I needed a new 12v battery for my Pruis. Camelback Toyota wanted to sell me a parts-store brand battery that wasn't the right size (long story) for way too much. I asked for a quote from Andre and it was $70 less so I asked him to order one. I got a premium genuine Toyota battery the next day and it's the right size (which shockingly he got from Camelback Toyota and says a lot about how I was treated by them as a customer). Awesome!

At 90,000 miles, other than oil changes and filters, I had not had any work done on my '08 Tacoma thinking, "I really don't want to go to the dealership, but... " Found Toyoworks via Yelp. Here is a locally-owned shop specializing in Toyota and Lexus. They do quality work at a very reasonable price. Andre, the owner, is a nice guy who returns phone calls and explains things well, not pushy at all. The customer - as a person - is important to him. What a relief to find a good shop with people like Andre.

What a great shop! Our 2001 lexus failed the emission test this year, the estimate from lexus was close to $1k, toyoworks was half that. Unfortunately another problem developed during that repair, (not their fault, age of vehicle) Andre went way out of his way to fix it at a very minimal cost. Can't say enough good things about how we were treated.

Very honest and trustworthy mechanic! As a female I know how mechanics can take advantage of us but Andre is such an honest mechanic! I've taken my car, a 2002 Toyota Camry in on multiple occasions and he only does what is needed. Back in 2012 my engine light went off and 2 solenoid panels needed to be repaired. Andre was not comfortable with repairing this part of the transmission so he recommended me to go to a transmission specific shop AND he never charged me for the diagnostic check to boot!! Seriously, this shop rocks!

In my opinion, mechanics are some of the most untrustworthy people. Of course, I'm not the only one who thinks this. I think most of us have been cheated by at least one. Most don't even know they've been cheated.
So my brakes have been making noises for several months and finally, I decided to have the front brakes changed. I waited mainly because I'm new to the city (so no car knowledgeable friends near by) and hate dealing with finding mechanics and wasn't in a hurry to be parted with my money.
You know the drill, go in for an oil change or tire rotation and end up being told you need to replace a ton of other stuff and because you don't know much about cars (otherwise you'd do this stuff yourself), you reluctantly agree since safety comes first and of course, you're told if you wait on the repairs, it'll cost you way more later on.
Anyway, saw the good reviews on Yelp, booked an appointment and came in today half expecting to be told that it's not just the front brakes but the rotor has to be replaced as well or at least resurfaced which means more money.
To my surprise, Andrea (the owner), told me the brakes were fine and the noise is likely caused by dirt/dust build up and had one of his guys clean it for me. He even took my car for a quick drive around the block just to make sure everything is okay. Didn't even charge me anything.
They could've easily just changed the front brakes since I told them to and had they said the rotors needed to be changed, I wouldn't even have argued. There are plenty of places that would've at least gone ahead and replace the brakes even if it wasn't necessary.
Anyway, I still think mechanics in general are scums of the Earth but this place has my trust. Aside from family members and close friends, this is the first time I'm recommending a mechanic. The term "honest mechanic" is practically an oxymoron but in this case, it describes Andrea and his team well.

A friend referred me to Toyoworks a few months ago for service on my Lexus. Having been a "dealer only for service" guy for the 40+ years I've been driving, I was hesitant but made an appointment. The owner Andre did a thorough inspection of my Lexus, offered his recommendations, and performed needed maintenance. Not only is he honest, he guarantee's all his work 100%, and his pricing can't be beat. I think about all the years that I used only the Lexus/Toyota dealer for service, the amount of time and money spent, I wish I had found Toyoworks, Andre's expertise and professional staff years ago! Don't bother going anywhere else for your Toyota, Lexus, or Scion service.

I needed some work done on my '01 Lexus GS430 and stumbled upon this shop on Yelp. Set up an appointment with Andre, he was super nice and found what another shop had already told me was wrong with the car (needed lower control arm no. 2 replaced on passenger and driver side). He did this at no charge and quoted me about $75 lower than the other shop which was supposedly giving me a "deal" with their price for being a repeat customer.
I wasn't done trying to get a better price on the work, so I took to the internet to find the parts needed and found them cheaper online.. Scheduled another appointment to have the work done only to find out I bought 2 of the SAME part! Luckily for me Andre ordered the part AND gave me a 15% discount on it AND still had the work done by the time he said he would!
Andre was very professional, the price was affordable and the shop was very clean.. I will DEFINITELY be taking my car into Toyoworks for all my maintenance!

Integrity = Repeat Business
I took my '08 Toyota Highlander to the dealership. The pre-paid service I got with the car had expired. After the warranty repairs were complete I was told my brakes needed replacing because they were running low. (3.5) To repair the front and rear brakes at Power Toyota in Tempe would cost something close to $600.00 and they wanted to know if I wanted to OK the repair. I told them no and got on Yelp to find someone other than a dealer to work on my SUV.
Toyoworks was recommended to me by Tate at Hon-Man.
Andre was great in accommodating my appointment. His shop was clean and orderly. I asked for him to also look into doing a 60,000 mile service since he was going to be working on the brakes anyway. I also told him i was going on a road trip and wanted to make sure the SUV was good to go for the trip. I gave him my keys and got a ride back to work.
Only a couple hours later he called me back. He said the brakes still had several thousand miles left to go and about a 1000 more miles to go before needing a 60 K service. He said, if the car was his, he would just wait on the repairs and service and the SUV was fine for the Vegas road trip.
When I picked up the car he said there was no charge. Andre could have easily hit me for $400 and I would have been happy to pay for it figuring I was getting a deal compared to the Toyota dealership. Instead, he was honest and I'm definitely taking my Toyota to him from now on. He's earned my trust and respect which is hard to come by in regards to my vehicle. I'm planning on having Toyoworks take care of my brakes when I get back and do the 60 K service.
If you have a Toyota that is out of warranty, definitely take it to Toyoworks for service and repairs.

I had previously owned a Toyota Tacoma which I loved, but I never had a good mechanic. Then my last car was a BMW which I referred to as break my wallet until I found Scott's Motor Werks. Scott was the most honest shop I ever went to and after 248,000 miles on my BMW, I decided it was time to retire it. I didn't want another BMW due to the many little things that seem to go wrong with them. So I decided to go back to my old trusted Toyota and bought a used 4Runner with 89,000 miles. My biggest concern was were I was going to go for service. When I bought the 4Runner, I knew it had an antifreeze leak, but I wasn't sure if it was the obvious hose which looked like it had signs of seepage or the water pump which often goes out around 90,000 miles.
After reading the reviews on Yelp, I decide to take my new used vehicle to Andre. Andre was very honest and his pricing was very good compared to the other places I checked. Andrew discovered the previous owner had installed a generic hose which he said often have issues. So I had him replace it because I figured at the price he was going to do it, it wasn't worth my time and effort.
I am very happy with the service, price, and expertise at Toyoworks. I'm happy to say that I found a repair shop that make's me feel as confortable as I did at Scott's. Having been to many bad shops in Phoenix and dealerships, it's great to find someone like Andre.

In this world of automotive repair shop scammers, it's refreshing to find a car repair shop & automotive technicians that pride themselves on being fair, ethical, honest and professional.
Andre with Toyoworks is awesome. He's a certified, officially trained Toyota technician that used to work for a Toyota dealership.
He's always honest and upfront about everything, including what options you have regarding maintenance and repairs on your car.
If you have a problem that doesn't necessarily require immediate attention or repair, he'll let you know that. Most other shops would tell you that all problems need repair immediately, even if they don't.
If you need a new part that's very expensive direct from Toyota, he'll tell you that you can get it on the cheap at a junkyard if you want that option.
His service is always superb, friendly and professional. All of my experiences (including multiple repairs & maintenance) have been superb with Toyoworks. If you've got a Toyota, you should make them your go-to automotive shop.

I was introduced to Andre 10-plus years ago when he was working out of his house. I followed him to his second house and now to the present location.
I am echoing the other positive reviews before me. Andre is not only a great mechanic, has saved me a lot of money with his honesty and integrity. There have been times where he hasn't charged me for specific fixes or has given me a great discount.
You can judge any business by how it looks. It is clean and orderly, which is rare for a mechanic's shop. The cleanliness reflects Andre's attitude toward his service. This is one mechanic who will not rip you off. The consistent top-notch service, honesty and pricing is what keeps me coming back.

I have to concur with other reviewers. I thought my 2007 Toyota Corolla with 190K miles needed a new clutch. After having compared prices at 5 shops and reading Toyowork's reviews on here I selected them. Andre quickly determined I didnt need a clutch, just an adjustment and gear oil change. He gave me ideas for what to look for in the future in terms of what a bad clutch performs like. I am also particularly impressed by the cleanliness of his shop. Having 2 Toyota Corollas and driving 5K miles a month I will definately be back again.

This is my favorite auto repair shop ever. I have a 2003 Corolla with 160K plus miles and really don't aspire to spend a lot of money to keep it going. Andre has very patiently and inexpensively nursed it along without going out of his way to find excuses to bill me for repairs. I am a cynic by nature and consider going to an auto repair shop akin to visiting a dentist, so Toyoworks has been an incredibly pleasant surprise. I may just keep the Corolla to 200K miles simply because I trust these guys. I highly recommend this business.

My Lexus was leaking a fluid. Called Andre and he gave me a time to bring it in later that morning. He did a test drive and put it up on the rack and diagnosed the problem as shock fluid. He could not tell me why it happened however suggested to monitor it and see if it happens again and if so bring it in to get the shocks replaced. Andre took the time to spray down the shock to remove the residue. I asked him how much he would charge for today and said "no charge." It is hard to find an honest mechanic these days but I know one when I meet one. I will only bring my Lexus to Andre going forwards!

Took my Lexus IS in for brakes, was told by Lexus dealership that I needed rotars and it would cost $775. They told me I had a few hundred miles to go and I would grinding metal. After deciding their prices were ridiculous I found Toyoworks.
Andre took a look at my car, he said the rotars were good to for another 30-60K!

First off, know that I'm a skeptical guy by nature. I sort out attorneys for a living as a lawsuit funder so have developed a keen sense of when someone is trying to pull the wool over my eyes . I met Andre (the owner of Toyoworks) in 2006 when I brought him my 2002 Land Cruiser after getting two separate quotes both over $2,000 to fix stripped spark plugs stuck in my engine. The others said they'd need to replace part of my engine when Andre took the time to problem solve and removed all my spark plugs damage free for just over $200. Since then I've exclusively taken my car to Andre countless times. Not too long ago. Andre said that my car needed some expensive repairs. I trust Andre, but know he knows that... so I decided to play it safe and get an opinion from another mechanic. He diagnosed my car with the same issues that Andre did and was going to charge me more for the same repair. Andre has come though for me every time throughout the years. His integrity and moral code are rare to find in a mechanic and any man in general.

I can't say enough good things about Toyoworks! I was having issues with my front brakes as well as the air conditioner in my 2003 Highlander. I was worried it was going to cost a fortune to fix but couldn't bear to spend another day in a hot car in Phoenix. Andre charged less than half of what I was charged to fix the back brakes and pads (just a month before at Sun Devil Auto). Also, instead of completely overhauling the A/C, he made a simple fix that completely took care of the problem and saved me a huge expense. He took the time to listen to my concerns and addressed them all. I feel like I am driving a new car, now! Not only did he fix the brakes and air, I can tell that he also worked on the alignment (but without mentioning it or charging me for it). My car drives like a dream. I have never had such an experience with auto repair. I'm so impressed that I have been telling all my friends to bring their cars to Andre. You can be confident that he will be attentive, honest and do QUALITY work on your car!

I've gone to Andre/Toyoworks for years. I can replace many things myself, but when it gets technical/tricky, I call Andre. He is honest. Is he the cheapest, no. Is he the best Toyota mechanic, yes. He's a life long Toyota mechanic. He recommends Toyota parts if you wish to keep your car/truck well over 200k miles. I'm taking my Tacoma in tomorrow for some wiring the dealership techs were giving mixed answers on, Andre knows his stuff, especially Toyota. Had one problem with something he did around a year later, took it back expecting to pay, he put me ahead of the line, free warranty work, fixed for good.
