when finished, they told me that i shouldn't wax my car for 3 months so that the paint can fully dry - and that when it does, come back to them for a detail - so i waited three whole months with the occasional wash and went in today for the detail - they did a better job than i have ever had!
the car looks awesome and new! and not only did they not charge me, they wouldn't even take a tip - seriously, super honest, extremely fair prices excellent expert quality and attitude
i hope i never need bodywork again, but if i (or you) do, you HAVE to at least get a quote from them - i have nothing but good to say about them (ok, well maybe one tiny thing that could have been better, but which they more than made up for - when i first went to pick up my car on a friday after they finished the work ~3 months ago, it wasn't ready because they were overloaded and asked if i could wait until monday - i was kind of annoyed because i drove all the way there, only to be told that - i asked why they didn't tell me sooner so i could have not wasted the trip - Jeff said it was because they really thought it would be ready that day and he was really sorry and he even paid for my rental car over the weekend - but the car was finished wonderfully on monday - and now it looks like a million bucks (seriously, no detailer has done a better job)
so thank you Jeff and all - in a business (body shops) that can be kinda sketchy, you guys stand WAY WAY out!
ps, they are approved by state farm, so if you have state farm, definitely use them - you won't need a separate appraiser - and even if you don't, i doubt you will find better quality work at any price, let alone at their great prices - anyway, that's my experience, ymmv, though i am definitely guessing it won't

I can't praise this business enough. Has taken me too long to write a review and they deserve it and then some.
Starts with phenomenal customer service. I've dealt with Jeff since 2009. He simply takes the stress out of having your vehicle in the shop. Add to that, he is literally right next door to Enterprise and can even assist, with that, if needed. Since my insurance required updates on my repair status (to Enterprise) Jeff took care of that for me, as well. Always goes above and beyond. Everyone there does.
Quality of work - incredible. Trust me...I've watched them. If it's anything but perfect, they aren't satisfied.
AAA approved. Does that mean something? You bet it does.
Is their lot always packed and busy? Yes, but there is a reason for that. Excellent service...quality work. Somehow, they still manage avoid being slow. Fast and efficient.
As long as I'm in the OC, they will be who I call when I need repairs. No brainer.

He even arranged to have a rental right next door and I was able to get my brakes done while my car was being repaired. I HIGHLY recommend taking your car to A-Z Tech. My car was hit by a tire rolling across lanes in the 5 freeway (I know) and damage was caused. I of course wanted it fixed immediately and A-Z Tech happened to be a selected provider through my auto insurance. I stumbled across this auto body shop by chance, but they have found a customer for life! They were extremely thorough with everything checking all points to make sure there was not additional damage to my drivers side tire of underneath of the car. They were exceptional and I couldn't be more impressed with their work. If you love your car and want the auto body work done right bring it to A-Z Tech!

A-Z is my usual great repair shop, so I decided to trust their body shop to repaint the hood of my classic truck. I had previously had my entire truck repainted by another body shop and within two years the hood was completely faded.
Alberto, the painter at A-Z who repainted my hood, did a fabulous job. He matched the color of the rest of the truck exactly. I can't say enough about what an outstanding job he did.
Jeff is the body shop manager at A-Z and he is professional, knowledgeable and friendly. The job was completed in a timely manner and at a very reasonable price. Jeff even presented me with a bottle of touch-up paint that Alberto had mixed.
I will never again go any place else for car repairs and body work. It is truly amazing to find such a superb auto repair shop.

Lot's of good reviews and backed by AAA. Seems like it would be a good shop to take your car for repairs. I have to say, the experience has been hell for me. My car sat there for a week before anyone even touched it. The initial repair estimate was $1800 but then my car mysteriously developed a whole new unrelated problem while in their care, more than doubling the cost. Almost at the end of week 2 and all I get is excuses about not having enough staff for the workload. Dude - shouldn't be my problem. He did offer to reduce my bill by $20 per day to cover the cost of a rental car. Minimally helpful, but thanks.
All that said, everyone is nice and professional. But, I'm wishing I had chosen a different shop.

I don't write reviews often on yelp but I had to make time for A-Z.
I am forever grateful for the amazing experience I had at A-Z Tech Auto. I am now a loyal customer!!! THANK YOU BRIAN AND THE MECHANICS that worked on my car.
My story:
As a young woman it's tough trying to figure out where to take your car for repair. I needed major work done and a budget I had to adhere to. I didn't know where to go. I asked my best friend if she knew anyone. She referred me to Jeff at A-Z. She said, he took good care of her. He was nice, trustworthy, gave her a good price and fixed her window.
Well I called the next day and asked for Jeff. I ended up speaking to Brian the other service manager. He asked me to bring my car in so they can do a complete inspection and give me the correct estimate.
I ended up repairing my car with them. Brian totally took care of me. Not only did Brian have someone drive me to work but he offered to rent me a car. Talk about excellent customer service! My car was suppose to be completed on the same day which initially it was scheduled to. I had already paid my bill through the phone with my CC. But at the end of the first day, Brian took it for a final test drive and my car did not idle properly. He wanted to keep it for an extra day to ensure it was fixed properly.
After all that my car was still not cooperating. Brian called me the next day and said he was going to take it to Nissan at no charge to me. Nissan ended up having to order a new part to fix my car. A-Z did not expect me to pick up the charge. Many other auto shops would have charged me and I would have paid because It's what I'm used to. Brian was so kind, he didn't ask me to.
These days, it's so hard to find people you can trust. Let alone an auto mechanic. After having my car for 6 days...paying my rental...fixed my car...I am forever grateful to Brian. Then they called me the following week to check up on me.
I highly recommend this shop. If are looking for VIP service with good rates then come to A-Z. You will not be disappointed.

Mechanics with integrity Part Deux.
So, I hit something nasty on the freeway ... no idea what, but it popped my tire. Then, after getting a new tire, whooba whooba whooba ... my car started giving me a Shiatsu massage. My car stinks at Shiatsu massages, but it made quite the effort.
Finally, I relented and took it into the shop. I got the same treatment as last time. Brian and I had to do process of elimination. It wasn't the suspension. I wasn't the tire. In the end, it was the rims. After all that he gave me a CREDIT for the money I had spent to buy NEW RIMS!! I was floored. He didn't even blink. When he realized that we had done all the other work to no avail, he called me up and said, "My bad." Lets get you new rims. Wow ...
If you can say your mechanic has this type of credibility than fine, but I seldom meet ANY business person in ANY field with such integrity.
You are fool to go anywhere else.

Horrible customer service, not a true mechanic, just body shop. Dropped my car off Tuesday at 12, no one ever called to give me update or quote. I called in Thursday only to find out that no one has even touched the car yet, "we'll have someone look at it today." I Called again at 3pm, still nothing and now they say it won't be until Friday. They only have one service tech and one diagnostic tech. Clearly understaffed. Only went here because of a referral, and was in a bind. Should have driven up to HB and gone with a real mechanic, Francisco's, where they are truly equipped to handle a simple starter replacement. Picking car up tomorrow before they have a chance to screw me over even more. Stay away if you want quality service.

I called at 7:30 am to see if their schedule was open enough to get a valve oil leak repaired. My understanding was they didn't have a heavy schedule. By 8:30 I arrived and spoke to Jeff who said Brian would be handling my car. They were nice enough to arrange a ride home for me immediately. 10 am I called to see if they had assessed it and to get a quote so I could decide if they would be doing the repairs. It seems they had a backlog of cars from the night before so no quote yet. They said they would try to have one within the hour.
I called back at 11 am because they had not called--still no quote. They said another hour.
I called back at noon because they still hadn't called. They said another hour. I expressed my frustration to Brian and it seemed he understood the review was not going well.
He called me back at 2 pm with a quote of $165 for valve replace (part included $30). Time frame 1 1/2 hours approx.
At 3 pm Brian said my car was ready and he would send someone to get me. I had also asked if the fuse on my heater was burnt out because I had just replaced it last week. It was not but due to time restraints he offered me a complimentary 30 min evaluation to bring my car in another time to check it out. Very nice!
The driver called and pick me up by 3:30 pm.
They had added an extra part but didn't change the price on me. :)
Started off rather disappointing. If they had just said up front we need 5 hours to quote it I wouldn't have em as bothered but the constant one hour inaccurate time frame was frustrating.
In the end they gave me a giant lollipop hanging from my rear view mirror that said something about voted 1 in OC (nice touch), fixed my car, offered me a reason to return, and gave timely complimentary shuttle service. The price seemed fair.

Seriously, this place is amazing. They are so honest and really make you feel like you're in good hands. I had an issue with my car about three years ago, which was the first time I brought it to A-Z. The issue was covered under my warranty, which I thought had expired. They called to inform me that it was in fact covered by my warranty and they would take it to the dealer for me at no charge. Amazing customer service.
Their customer service and honesty has kept me coming back since then, even though I lived in San Diego for the past two years! Whenever I needed an oil change or had an issue, I would make the hour drive just to get it checked out at A-Z.
Recently, I took it in to prepare for my three month long road trip. They worked hard on it all day and even had a part delivered a day early so I could get on my way. Seriously, don't go anywhere else. This place is great.

AMAZING SERVICE!!
The bumper on the front of my cargot hit about a week or so ago Luckily the guy left a note. I went and got a quote from another place, but they quoted a little too much. With the recommendation from the person who hit me, I took my car to A-Z to get a quote. They beat the price by over $100.
I took my car in yesterday morning and just went in to pick it up. The job they did is outstanding!!! The bumper looks brand new! Another plus is that they fixed another scratched area for no extra charge!! They also went as far as to wash and clean the car and cleaned the inside and vacuumed as well! My car looks so new now! Excellent job!
On top of the wonderful job they did, the customer service is IMPECCABLE!! Jeff was the first one to help me and he is very friendly and nice! When I went in to pick it up today, the receptionist was also very nice and friendly and Jeff's son took me to the car and explained everything they did. They really seem to care about their customers and go out of their way to help them, and I love that!
I also love that the job they did has a lifetime warranty and they really stand behind it. I will definitely be back here if I need more body work done on my car and I will definitely recommend them to family and friends...and ofcourse you Yelpers! :)

Over the last few years, I've had to take 4 of my family's cars in for body repair. Jeff is wonderful and the work they do is just great. Most importantly, I feel like they are really honest and they don't recommend anything that I don't need. They also do pristine work - always wanting to repair the issue the proper way. I woke up this morning, started my car, getting ready to go to work and make that money. In characteristic fashion of an old unstable horse trying to prove that it's still got some horsepower to run the race of its life at the Kentucky Derby, the car started aggressively, sputtered and died just like that overworked moonshine-belly stallion would've done at the sound of the starting gun in the old dusty track of Louisville Downs. The silence in my driveway brought about by nervousness and dismay was so thick you could pierce it with the sword of shannara!!! With lingering hope, I told myself that the car was just waking up, and that it needed to be started gently. When I started the ignition, the violent rattling and shaking that came from the car immediately told me that the car definitely felt disrespected for being started at the ungodly hour of 10am! It sputtered, took it's last couple of breaths like a sheep to the slaughter and as if to say "see you yonder in the afterlife", it died. "In the name of Heavens what kind of nonsense is this?" I seemed to ask the car in a voice angrier than Michael Jackson's father, Joe Jackson. So to make a long tale short and at the risk of rambling like a prepubescent girl at a Justin Beaver concert, I forced that car to life in a scene reminiscent of Antonio Banderas on horseback in the Mask of Zorro, and off we were to the good people at A-Z Tech Automotives. In a fashion more precise than your general surgeon performing an open-heart surgery, they diagnosed my car's exact issue, fixed it and the most amazing thing is that in this day and age of a fast-paced world, they even had the time to be very courteous not to just me, but all the other customers that I saw walking in. A+. Anyway, if you want excellent service on your car, this is DEFINITELY the place to go. Jeff, Garrett and Trisha, and the courtesy driver, were the four people I interacted with and they were very professional. Before I left, I even got a little gift thingy with some funny looking seashells and what looked like sand that might have been imported from sweet home Alabama. Who wouldn't like this place after that? They touched my heart in a way Celine Dion could not with her "to love you more" ballad!!! Overall, I am VERY satisfied with my car service here, and I WILL definitely be going back there when I need anything for my car!!!! GREAT JOB GUYS!!!!!!! And a shout out to all the other employees for their very friendly attitude!!!

I went to A-Z Tech Automotive late last year after purchasing a LivingSocial deal, 5 oil changes for $25...you can't beat that! They even let you use that between different cars, so the guy and I took advantage of the deal. The service is excellent and they are very friendly. Quick turnaround time, only 45 minutes for an oil change.
The reason for 4 stars is that they are only open Monday through Friday, which is really problematic scheduling wise for me. There's no way for me to do this with work, so unfortunately I couldn't rationalize coming back after I used up my voucher. Once they open on Saturdays, I'll definitely be back!

I just got back from A-Z Tech and I couldn't be more pleased. I simply went there for an oil change yet the experience was much better than any other Auto shop I've been to in a while. The main thing that I loved about this place was the atmosphere created by the people working there. Everyone was friendly and they all seemed to treat each other like family and when I walked in I felt like I was invited to spend time with this family.
The oil change itself took only about 40 minutes and I was very pleased with the service and quality of the oil. I have a few more serious repairs that I have left for my vehicle and I'm definitely coming back to A-Z for them.
It didn't hurt that the receptionist was cute too!

Unfortunately, as a family with four cars, we have had the need to use A-Z Tech more often than I care to think about. We were originally referred to them by the insurance company but it was their performance in all areas that kept us coming back.
What impresses me most is their response to customer concerns. They stand behind their work even if an issue arises months later. Even picky issues that would make a normal business owner say "are you kidding me?" are met with respect and response. Prior to finding them, I tried over 5 body shops and 10 mechanics in the area. I am so glad I finally found a reputable company that cares about its customers.
The only downside is that they are getting busy as the word about them spreads so wait times are longer than when we first used them. Trust me, they are worth the wait.

I purchased a Living Social deal in January (5 oil changes for $25). I likely didn't read the fine print that the price doesn't include the filter, etc. The coupon also said that no appointment was needed.
When I showed up to have my oil changed, the girl at the front was slightly snippy and informed me I needed to make an appointment first. I politely apologized and let her know the Certificate didn't say I needed an appointment. Because I was able to leave my car there and get a ride from a co-worker, they managed to fit me in.
When I went to pick up the car, they had washed it, which was great! It ended up costing $14 in materials, so for a total of approximately $19 for an oil and filter change, plus the car wash. The best thing about the deal was that I was able to use it for any vehicle. I've taken in two different cars for a total of three oil changes. After the first visit, I do call in to make an appointment.
On my SUV, I knew the brakes needed to be replaced (they were squeaking audibly). I got a quote there and I feel there were honest, and also quoted me a reasonable price to do the front and back.
When I went to pick up my car after the brake job, it turned out to be about $20 less than the quoted me, which I thought was great (it's rare that someone charges LESS than they quote you, especially when you've agreed to pay that amount).
The place is fairly easy to find (though not on a main road). It's not fancy, but the customer service managers seem knowledgeable and friendly and the service seems to be good quality. I'll continue to take my car there for oil changes and light work.

The team at A-Z Tech Automotive are the most comprehensive, service oriented, professional mechanics I've had the pleasure of dealing with. Marissa scheduled the appointment for me and was very courteous when I arrived. It turned out that I had a bigger problem then what I first imagined. After diagnosing the problem and proceeding with the repairs Bryan kept me appraised of their progress. He made regular phone calls to let me know how things were going and when I could expect to get my car back. Since it had to be kept overnight Bryan arranged for his team to pick me up at work and drop me off at home, then again to pick me up and take me to the shop. Every point of contact at A-Z was personable and courteous. They did a great job, stuck to the quoted price and threw in a few small extras. It's easy to recommend Bryan and the team at A-Z with service like that!

This THE WORST auto shop I've ever been to. Not only was their work sloppy (run off paint job) and had to be brought back to their shop to be reworked on. They charged twice the amount of the original quote. They also lied about how long the work would take (obviously pushing my car lower on priority list). They told me they would lock my keys in the car so I could pick it up after hours on a weekend, but did NOT leave the car in the parking lot for me to pick it up. So, I had to wait until Monday in order to get my car back. They run an unreliable and unprofessional business, do not waste your time nor money with this kind of aggravation!!

From reading the previous person's review about using a Living Social deal coupon, I believe she got really lucky because that is not what I have experienced in the past.
The Living Social deal (5 oil changes for $25) was actually given to me by a friend in January. And since then I've tried to get an oil change THREE TIMES. Here's what happened:
1st try - In March, I drive to A-Z Tech and walk in to ask for an oil change. I obviously wasn't as lucky as the Rebecca N., because they turned me away saying that I needed an appointment. Their next available appointment wasn't until next week. That weekend I ended up getting an oil change at my usual place in San Diego, since I was visiting my fam that weekend.
2nd try - In June, I knew I had to make an appointment so I called and asked to schedule an oil change and immediately mentioned that I have a Living Social coupon. As soon as she heard that I have a coupon, she said the next available appointment for an oil change wasn't for another 2 weeks. At that point I really needed to get an oil change, and didn't want to wait that long so ended up going somewhere else AGAIN.
3rd try - Mid August, I call again to try to schedule another appointment knowing that I probably wont be scheduled for another 2 weeks. This time I was also smarter and avoided mentioning the coupon because I was suspicious that they purposely told me a long wait last time because of the deal. Someone answers the phone, and after I ask to schedule an oil change the receptionist says, "Let me ask you a few questions before we can schedule you an oil change. Have you been here before?" Me, "No, I'm a new customer". Receptionist, "Oh, so are you coming here because of a Living Social or Groupon deal that you have?" Me, "Yes." Receptionist, "Ok. Our first available appointment is..... September 23rd". WTF, a WHOLE MONTH to wait for an oil change? SO BOGUS. Who would wait a month to get an oil change. I live in OC and commute to LA for work, there's no way I would wait that long.
So if I could, I would def give this place NO STARS. If you're going to give out a deal or special, at least try to reasonable honor it. I feel like they are purposely pushing away customers because the deal isn't as profitable to them. If you know you wont profit as much from the sale, don't bother giving the deal out. PLUS, the deal expires after a year. My friend bought the Living Social deal in January, and it's already September and I have not been able to use the deal once out of the 5 oil changes it has promised. So why trust bringing your car here if they can't even reasonably honor a coupon?

Bryan & Jeff are amazing! The entire staff over at A-Z Tech are professional, courteous, and are truly experts in what they do. I am a car dealer and I bring my inventory to A-Z Tech for all my automotive needs. They are one of the few auto-mechanic and collision repair shops that provide a REAL warranty on their work. Everytime I bring in a vehicle, I am always happy with the pricing, their service, and the quality of work they do. They are truly A-Z, meaning that they are experts for any car brand whether its a Range Rover, BMW, Ford, Honda, you name it, they can repair it. Their facility is top-notch and they are a full service mechanic and body shop. Not only do they do an excellent job on my cars, they also give a free car wash and shuttle service. What else can you ask for??

My family and I have been taking our cars to AZ Tech for about 4-5 years now. We never trusted any crew of guys more than this crew. They are stand-up guys with great attitudes who take pride in their work and they become like friends after short time. The mechanics are geniuses with lifetimes of experience and the body shop is stellar. I've had experience with both sides of the shop and both delivered top quality work. This is the ONLY shop in Orange County I will ever recommend.

Yet I did rant and rave about this business, I now do have one gripe. When they rotated my tires they stripped one of my aftermarket ($200) lugnuts. I brought it back to them right after I noticed the problem and they promptly acknowledged the issue and told me to email them my information to get the problem resolved.
After a month and about 6 emails to them, they finally responded that I was SOL. So, they wasted my time in giving me false hope to resolve my problem they caused, and they then responded telling me that It may have been my fault!
They have amazing customer service upfront. But if there is some sort of problem, they ignore you and treat you like you're not important. I was nothing but nice and courteous to them and they can't even own up to their own mistakes.

All I can say is this place is amazing! Everyone there is friendly from the front desk to the mechanics, they do excellent work, and they're honest about the cost of things. There's a reason they're voted #1 in Orange County. They're definitely the only place I want to take my car.

from the time i called to the time they were done working on my car these guys are absolutely awesome, super professional, courtesy, kind, and they do awesome work, i cant even tell something happened to my car after they were done. they even called hertz rental car for me to pick me up and get me into my rental car, and also offered to have them drop me off, and if hertz wouldn't do it they would, its extremely rare finding good customer service now a days. But i must say this is the place to go if you want the job done right the first time, and honest workman ship. thanks again for everything you guys did for me to help me get my car back and me back on my feet.

We've been going to A-Z Tech for several years. They're honest people (hard to find), and they do excellent work, without pushing you to do things that don't need to be done. They do just about everything (including engine work), not just body and paint work. Bryan and Jeff are fantastic, always helpful, and they explain everything clearly.
In our case, they've taken care of engine maintenance, oil pressure switch, timing belt, broken power window motor, bumper replacement, transmission work, and several other things. Each time they took care of everything, even when the parts provided by the local dealer were defective (they didn't charge us extra labor, since it wasn't our fault). They're great!

A friend told me about A-Z so we dropped my daughter's car off while she was out of town. The car had numerous problems when we left it: the A/C was broken, the driver's seat was ripped, it needed new tires, oil change, wiper blades, etc. They were true to the estimate they had given us, and fixed everything better than our expectations. My daughter says it's like she's driving a new car!

This business is impressive. From the people who answer the phone, to the actual face-to-face experience with the staff, the vibe is friendly, up front, and efficient. I didn't feel like I was being talked down to as a woman, and the auto body supervisor was thorough in his explanation to me. The actual cost of the repair was less than they quoted, and my car was detailed both on the exterior and interior when I picked it up. I really feel these guys fair and honest. I highly recommend this business.

A-Z Tech is the best!! I had a car accident I took my car there for an evaluation ... they handle everything with my insurance unfortunately my car was total lost , but its repareble the staff were great the manager Jeff such a wonderful person so friendly Everyone so professional! !!! These guys just did a terrific job on repainting my Genesis after someone had keyed it pretty badly. The estimate (time and cost) was right on the mark and the car looks great. Top recommendation, will definitely go to them again. Jeff and the staff are really easy to work with.
