I never thought I'd use the words "honest" and "mechanic" in the same sentence, but am I ever happy to do so with this company. I started seeing Tahn @ Continental Garage based on a family member's recommendation - and I'm so glad I did. Through two cars, I have been nothing but pleased with the service performed. Tahn stands behind his work, is honest with what is really wrong (even if its less $$ for him), and makes sure that not only is the issue fixed but lets you know if he sees anything else.
I cannot recommend him enough - whether for basic maintenance of your car (new or old), or necessary repairs, I will never go anywhere else. If you are looking for a person and a company to put your trust in with your car - you will find it here.

Than solved a phantom electrical problem on my Jetta that stumped two other mechanics. He doesn't guess; he finds the solution. Rather than using the shotgun approach that others did, which cost me @$800, he thoughtfully problem-solved the issue! Turn out it was the light switch. As others have commented: An honest mechanic is hard to find! A smart one is even more elusive! He's getting all my business.

I've been going to Than for a long time after I was referred from my dad. Than alwasy does a fantastic job on my car. Not only that, but his pricing is better than average and he always squeezes my car in even when I show up unannounced. It's a small local buisness though, so I recommend calling in advance if possible. All of his work has been same-day and he is located about a 1/2 mile walk from a Starbucks, which is convenient.
Absolutely would use Continental garage again!!

Al has been my mechanic for 10 years. He is extremely knowledgeable, works quickly and charges very reasonably. He is especially knowledgeable on European Cars, literally like an encyclopedia of car knowledge. He is also the friendliest mechanic I have ever had work on my cars. He has fixed my SAAB, Audi, and BMWs perfectly and reasonably. I highly recommend Al at Bellevue Motor Works for any and all auto repairs.

I have been a very satisfied customer of Al since 1991 or 25 years. I trust him blindly for all my car repairs. He has repaired BMW, Mercedes and Lexus for us as well as my motorcycles and even a lawnmower. Al is very knowledgeable and experienced. I have recommended Al to friends who are all very satisfied customers today.

Took my car today for changing Angel Light on my BMW. this mechanic does not even know how to replace a light. took 30 mins to realize the light i gave for replacement is aftermarket and does not fit. He does not even know from where he needs to replace the light. he is trying to do it from under the hood instead of removing the front tires and cover. This would hardly take 15 mins to replace both the lights and he took 30 mins for only right side light to open. I did not replace the light and asked him to keep back the original lights. should have an option to do negative ratings on this service center. Waste of my time waiting there.

I have been taking my BMW to Al since 2002. Does a great job of preventing issues beforehand and Al still has this car going strong despite being a 19 year old car with 275,000 miles. Definitely recommend!

Beware of Al's one step at a time approach - rather than diagnose the issues with my Lexus he continued to throw parts at it until I could no longer justify continuing to pursue the problem. During a recent oil change, another shop diagnosed and subsequently repaired the issue.
