Excellent service. I had my car towed and dropped off after hours and they were able to get to it the next day and replace the starter for a fair price. Will use Dave and Wayne's for future auto repairs.

Great place! I have been taking my vehicles here for years. They are cheaper than a dealer, but obviously more expensive than some guy working out of his garage. With cars being so expensive today, I won't trust mine to anyone else.

I am so disappointed with this place!! I have always loved this place in the past. Does anyone know if it changed hands? I recommended it to someone and they were significantly overcharged. My friend looked up the price of parts and it was about $50 yet D&W charged $400 for parts. Then it was $87/hr for labor. Really disappointed and embarrassing that I recommended them.

Took my car here after my family moved to Bethlehem cross country and needed an oil change. Saw good reviews online so decided to give them a try. No one was in the front office when I arrived, so I had to meander in to the shop until someone noticed me and asked if they could help. Was told my car would be ready by noon, and it was. As others noted, the waiting room leaves a lot to be desired, so I walked a few blocks to downtown Bethlehem to kill time. When I picked my car up they had done work on it I had never approved nor was asked about. I figured I get out of there for $50 at most for an oil change, but ended up having to pay over $130. All the work they did seemed fine quality wise, but I was really aggravated about not being consulted on additional repairs / charges, so I won't be going back.

went here for a front end alignment. had an appointment. i was ten min late to my appt but they were fine with it. their waiting room is pretty gross and when i had a question, i had a hard time getting someone to help me. i walked further in the shop to find someone. they weren't nice or pleasant to talk to. my car was ready in less than an hour and was told my bill was twenty bucks higher because they had to push my control arm back a little. i couldn't believe the nerve to charge me to touch a part that's corresponding to an alignment. the alignment job they did wasn't good either. im still having the car pull slightly right. worst place ever

I actually went here initially on Kelly B's review. I was really happy with my first visit. I had my car inspected, an oil change and tires rotated. The only weird thing was when the guy drove me home the first time I was trying to get him to listen to a noise that my car does when the heater turns on. Of course he was hard of hearing. No big deal. I was happy with this visit.
I just got back after dropping my car off last night for a quick oil change. I was promised my car back at noon, it's now 4pm. When I called around 3pm to check they had no idea and said to call back to ask for "Billy". I called back and they said they just got it on the rack but to come down anyways. After arriving they told me my total was $50.00! I asked what cost $50? He rattled off some things and showed me the list. I was pretty shocked and I don't even know if they fixed my dash board light. I don't think I'll be going back again. I use to go to this place on Stefko and for some reason they closed but I really missed them after this experience.

First off, I admit that I think many mechanics and shops deserve the negative perception applied to them by many people. I've had my share of being told that my car needed something which I'm sure that it did not, just to inflate the bill, and most people I know have had similar experiences. It's been especially frustrating when I've spent hundreds of dollars on 'repairs' that did nothing to fix the problem. I understand that some issues can be complicated to diagnose, but please don't just keep charging me money for items that may or not fix the problem. I just want to find a competent, honest mechanic who I know I can trust to not rip me off if they can't fix the problem.
Anyway, when the check engine light came on in my wife's car we first took it to one of those quickie oil-changing/brake-replacing/lubrication-doing/fluid-filling shops that offer a free reading of your car's computer when the check engine light comes on. We were told that the trouble code indicated a faulty O2 sensor which we be several hundred dollars to repair. I wasn't comfortable with the shop so we left and I decided I would try to tackle the repair myself and save some money. In doing research, however, I found that the O2 sensor should be fine for up to 100K miles, and since my wife's car had only 70K and the part cost over $200 I decided to try cheaper options first. I replaced the air filter, and then bought new Iridium-tipped spark plugs (no idea what iridium is but that's what Toyota calls for and it sounds hi-tech!), but never got around to replacing them. The car was acting up in cold weather and I certainly didn't want my wife to be stranded somewhere in the middle of winter so I decided to try the pros.
I'd heard good things about Dave & Wayne's so we decided to give them a try. We were able to get the car in on the day we wanted and my wife dropped it off in the morning. She told them about the check engine light and the rough running engine. She also told them that I had already replaced the air filter and had bought new spark plugs to replace them but hadn't done it yet. She also asked them to check the brakes which were making lots of noise and felt like they were 'grabby' after having being recently replaced by Sears when we got new tires. She also asked for an oil change and told them to use the spark plugs that I bought if they felt it was necessary.
One of the mechanics called several hours later and said that the trouble code and the rough running engine was due to a leaking intake gasket, which is common on these cars. He ordered the gasket and replaced it (the next day), changed the oil, and inspected the brakes. The brakes were fine except for a build-up of dust which was causing the grabbiness. He didn't replace the spark plugs because he said the Iridium-tipped plugs are good for 100K miles so it wasn't necessary yet. Total bill - about $330.
The car now runs fine and we were very happy with the speed and quality of the work. Everyone we dealt with there was pleasant and professional, and we felt that they were honest and competent, and that the cost of the work was reasonable. We would definitely recommend them and we will continue using them for any issue that doesn't to be handled by a dealer. Thanks Dave & Wayne's!
p.s. sorry for such a long review! :)

One of the perils of commuting 60 miles each way from PA to the Jerz is, as one would imagine, your car takes a beating- not to mention paying for gas. Ugh.
I moved to PA this summer will be doing the aforementioned commute once the school year kicks in, so getting my car in good shape is a total MUST DO. Moving means I lost my already craptacular mechanic in NJ, but no worries! I found Dave and Wayne's online and totally lucked out.
Not only is Dave the happiest dude on the planet, the whole staff is nice and shockingly reasonable about fixing, and NOT fixing things on your car. I haven't gone in and been told that my flotserwobber isn't connected to my dealybobber and it's $400 for parts, etc.
I had a deal where my car was wobbly at high speeds and they fixed it until the problem was taken care of. I didn't have to pay beyond the original repair, though they saw the car once after that.
(Turns out my wheels aren't truly round, so WTF?! Who makes oblong tires?!)
So my car's back in the shop now for a check engine light- apparently driving to Canada might not make for a happy car, but I'm really not sweating it. After all, Dave greeted me with a big, genuine grin this morning, so things can't be too bad, right?

Very unprofessional and unqualified staff. I brought my car for a routine inspection, when I went to pick it up I was told "it's time to get a new car." On the list of reasons why he couldn't pass my car for inspection, more than half of them were false leaving me to believe he did not even look at my car. He had listed down things such as my car horn not working, which it clearly did as I laid on it for four seconds immediately after leaving the building. Other false things such as my e-break not working, saying I needed to replace control arms and other things under the hood my father and I had just replaced no more than a few months prior. These guys are shady scheisters and I would not recommend even their simplest services to anybody.
