Not sure

Heard great things, so I took my truck there for a leak. They worked on it all day, I had to call them several times to get updates. Atte end of the day they said they couldn't find a leak. Bu they didn't charge me.

Major Mistakes

I went in to get my headlight fixed, but when I left I had no brakes becuase they didn't tighten a hose and left some nuts and bolts undone. This sort of mistake should not be made. To make matters worse they didn't even fix my headlight because it was burnt out again a month later. I did at least receive a refund, but only after complaining to the manager. I will never go back to this place. I would recommend them checking over their work better and showing a little more respect to customers.

I cannot begin to tell you how happy I was with Gordon and BVA! They have saved us so much over the past two years. Local dealership was gouging us unbelievably with high quotes. Gordon found the issue, and saved us TONS of money and the vehicles are fixed with no problems. Gordon is the nicest guy to work with too. Great business - great businessman - fair prices.

Tried to take advantage of the fact that I'm not an expert, they were kind of rude, above average costs (based on 7 other local shops), and when I asked for a printed estimate they printed one for the incorrect part and fix. Brought my car someone else and got a great fix, with great service, for almost half the cost.

We've brought our cars here for minor repairs, and they always been fast, friendly, and honest. One of the parts they worked on had trouble again 6 months later, and they fixed it at no charge the same day. This is important to us because our cars are our business as they are taxis. We have trouble trusting mechanics, so it's nice to know these guys will do the best they can and not rip you off. I'm not sure about major repairs, but the minor repairs have been super fast so far.

Business seems to be good for them. So much so that it took 2 days before they even looked at/diagnosed the problem. I found the person at the front desk to lack in people skills. He was unwelcoming, unfriendly, and seemed unappreciative of having me as a customer. Not thanking me or making eye contact. That aside, the part was $150 MORE than Auto Zones BEST comparable part (over twice as much). Maybe that could be slightly excusable if customer service was better which it wasn't.

Thought I had a leaking rear main seal on a truck which would have been a relatively expensive fix. I was expecting a 650.00-750.00 bill, but after diagnosing the problem they told me it wasn't the seal and just some loose bolts somewhere else and instead I got a 71.00 bill. These guys did a great job and fixed the problem. It could have been a great opportunity to just take my money and run and I would have never known the difference. Based upon my experience they are honest and knowledgable and have definitely earned my repeat business and I highly recommend them.

II was in dire need of a reputable repair center to look at my car after it suddenly started making suspiciously serious noises, and I needed to be on the road to Austin soon.
The car is meticulously maintained, but I was concerned of a possible serious breakdown. They took the time late on Friday afternoon to look it over and assure me all looked good.
My drive back to Austin was trouble-free. The peace of mind they gave me was priceless. And they did not charge me, Darrell and Bobby and the team are outstanding.

What a total let down. While they came has highly recommended they refused to install my brand new pair of KYB gas struts that I ordered from Amazon (free shipping and no sales tax). Even while they are brand new shipped from KYB with warranty and I have my receipt, they said they will only install parts that they sell you themselves.

Needed a place for repairs for our daughter's car, we're in Dallas, she's in CS. Didn't have any idea where to tow the car.
Brazos Valley Automotive did an amazing job!! We had the car towed in Bobby got us the estimate within a couple of hours and the car was fixed by the next morning!! They are a member of the BBB with an A+ rating.

This is the best choice I have ever made in auto repair!! I looked them up with the BBB and they had an A+ rating. My husband took our Escalade which only shifted to 2nd gear to them on a Wednesday evening and they diagnosed and fixed it by Thursday afternoon. This is a really big deal because we had this problem on and off for a year and no one could figure out what was wrong.

Gordon and his associate (Bobby, I'm pretty sure) took great care of me. I needed new shocks and a window motor repair to my 12-year old truck. Their pricing was competitive and the work was completed as scheduled. I read some of the negative reviews and wonder what happened to make other's experiences so off putting. The two fellows I mention above seem nothing short of professional, honest and customer service oriented. YMMV but I'll be going back to them next time I need work done. -----Bill----

Outstanding customer service!! Gordon Wilhelm and his crew of mechanics at Brazos Valley Automotive go above and beyond for their customers. Have had nothing but great experiences taking my families vehicles there. About 10 yrs of great service. I know there are some that might have had a small issue as I have read but all in all any job or with any company we all make mistakes from time to time but I can tell you over all the years I have been doing business there and many many friends of mine also they are very few and far between and customer service is very important to Gordon Wilhelm or any business owner. Highly recommend doing business with this company.

There is not a choice for just plain "poor", so that is why it says "poor-fair." When picking up our van for a repair to the air conditioner, we lifted the hood to see the work that was done and heard an a/c line leaking. It turns out that valve caps were completely left off of the line after they charged the system with Freon, and the valve was leaking. There was also oil spread all over the front of the van under the hood. We were told that it would be another 20-30 minutes for them to work on it some more. We spoke to the man behind the counter about the possibility of compensation to the bill of $286, for the fact that the work was not completed and the extra wait that ensued. He told us there would be no compensation, because they were going to fix it. Feeling that it should have been fixed the first time and that our time was worth something, an argument took place regarding compensation. He asked, How much are you begging for? I replied, How much are you willing to take off? He said, None. I proceeded to say that I would be posting reviews of this incident, and he said, I asked you how much you are begging for? I told him, $25. He did give us $25 back, but as far as I am concerned it was not worth the way that he treated us and his rudeness. I told him that an offer of $10 initially would have been worth a lot more than the $25. The end result was that after a 40 minute wait, they returned the vehicle to us with a different valve leaking, that we had to repair ourselves. Needless to say, we will definitely not patronize this business again, nor would we recommend it!
