Corwine Automotive replaced the air conditioner in my chevy pickup for half the price of what I was quoted by Christian Brothers. They did a great job and had my truck back to me the same day. They seem to be very honest people and I highly recommend them!

I took a vehicle in on a Thursday to get the AC serviced after I had drained and CAPPED OFF the lines. The ENTIRE AC system (including the lines) were new and had just been replaced last summer. He said there was a blockage in the lines and it wouldn't take freon so it would probably run about 285.00 (originally quoted 85.00 to be serviced). We called Friday near closing time and was told it hadn't made it back in the shop yet. So, we get a call Monday morning at 9:30 saying its ready. Let me put the math together. They weren't able to service it Thursday, it didn't get touched Friday (Closed Saturday and Sunday) and they had it done an hour and a half after opening on Monday. It takes 30 minutes to an hour to vacuum and service an AC system that has been completely drained. Giving the benefit of the doubt (30 minutes to service it), we just got charged $200.00 for an hour of labor. I'll let you be the judge. By the way, I have been an aircraft mechanic and a flight engineer for over 20 years. My son and I had just put a new motor in the truck and if I had the equipment I would have serviced it myself... Just in case there was any doubt about my technical abilities or knowledge.

I had my car towed to Corwine on a Sunday. Tuesday they replaced my clutch... later they called me and said it was not the clutch. It was the transmission. They quoted me 600$. I thought that was a deal. At the time I had no idea I was being charged for the clutch as well (which cost as much as the transmission). I picked up the vehicle on a Thursday. Since I have gotten it back, first barely works.... as well as reverse. My brakes leak so bad I have to put fluid in every day or they don't work. My odometer and speedometer do not work. I contacted them about this. They put me off and asked that I come in on a Monday or a Tuesday. I am a business owner, and Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday I was booked with appointments. I took it in on Thursday right as they opened. Here is where it all took a turn for the ugly. I walked in and started to tell the receptionist my name, when she cut me off to answer a phone call. She proceeded to chit chat on a personal call for the next 15 min. After she got off the call, and I stated why I was there: the receptionist started yelling at me telling me I was suppose to come in on Monday.. or brought it in the night before to leave it for a week. I became upset not understanding why they refuse to help me after I spent $1200. As I was leaving 2 large men from the shop cornered me and got in my face (I'm just a lil guy). I decided to leave. Later my wife left a message for the owner. Well turns out the receptionist is his wife. He called my wife and began cursing her on his wife's behalf. Dropping f-bombs and saying GD. He stated: "had I have been there your husband would be picking himself up off the ground. If I were you I would look elsewhere... too much hassle.... and my car still doesn't work right. I had to consult an attorney... I go back in to corwine Monday at 8 am. If they don't fix the problems I am going to have to take them to court to get my car running right. SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE

I dropped my car off at 8 am and they called me back at 10:30 ready to pick up. My break lights were not working and they quickly changed out the stop light switch and only cost me $60 bucks. Easy to work with and very honest. I gave Shane a try because he came very highly recommended and now I would recommend him to a friend.
